Chapter 2
Elinor's secret
Elinor sighed. She was thinking of all the lies she told. First off, she didn't think books were the most important thing. She wanted to get married, and have kids. But, unfortunately, she was too old, and never had a boyfriend in her life. The only option was to die alone. At least she had Resa and her family. She had gotten a letter from Resa yesterday asking her to stay. So, she started packing and was on her way.
Resa POV
I wish Aunt Elinor would visit. I could surprise her with my voice. After that trip to Paris, I've been feeling better and better. I mused, deciding to call a family meeting.
"Family meetinggggggggggg!" I called.
"Sheesh! You could be quieter, so Mexico can't hear you!" Mo complained.
"I have a feeling that Aunt Elinor will come visit soon. When she does, I will speak in sign language to her. We will all pretend that I still left my voice in that wretched book. I will go into a room, and say something really weird. She will be really surprised!"
"Sure." Meggie and Mo didn't care much. KNOCK KNOCK! That must be Elinor!
