Johnny went to the Fenton household to wake up everyone else.
He awoke Kitty, who was asleep in their guestroom. He awoke Ember. Who was asleep in Danny's old room, her guitar in her arms. He awoke Danny's parents, who had ghost weapons all over them. He even awoke Jazz, Sam and Sidney, who were ready the second they hopped out of bed.
Danny stood at the towns square. He knew while Skulker, Desiree, and Spectra would love to spread chaos around the city, Dark Danny would come for him, and him alone.
Team independence went around waking up everyone in the town, all of them prepared. They all grouped behind Danny. The rain subsided, as the eye of the storm covered the city.
Before Danny could notice it, Tucker was at his side. The whole crowd tensed up; how was he going to react?
"Dude…" Tucker said quietly to him.
Danny looked at him out of the corner of his eye.
"Yes?" he said impatiently.
Tucker held out a hand.
"I'm sorry" he said pitifully.
Danny smiled for the first time that night.
"I forgive you Tuck-man" he said, and instead of shaking Tuckers' hand, he gave him a bro-hug. The town sighed in relief at this.
Then Danny sensed it.
"He's here, he's among us…" he said, and then shifted his attention to the sky.
"Team Independence!" he shouted, signaling for them to assemble.
Johnny stood at his side, releasing his shadow. Kitty stood at Johnny's side, cracking her knuckles. Ember stood at Danny's other side, her guitar over shoulders. Daniele stood in front of her clone/cousin, her hands surging with ecto-energy. Sidney stood at Embers side, in a ready stance.
"So this is the pathetic team independence" said a cold voice that was heard by everyone. This voice caused most of the human's hair to stand up on the back of their necks. They could seriously feel their bones shiver.
Then, in to everyone's view, faded Dark Danny. He was floating above all of them. Skulker, Desiree, and Spectra faded into view at his sides. Danny could see the helpless look in their eyes.
He nodded at them.
"I understand" he said to them.
Then he smirked.
"So, DD, come to kill me have you?" he asked.
Dark Danny's flaming hair stood up on end.
"What did you just call me?!" he said furiously.
"DD, you know, for your initials?" he said, not the least bit afraid.
He began to float on his back lazily.
"So, if you have to come to kill me, you do realize that you ARE committing suicide; it will end up killing you as well." Danny said boredly.
Dark Danny smiled. He showed his past self the necklace he wore, indicating the clock on it. But it kept switching from digital, to regular, to hourglass.
"This allows me to break the rules of time" he said "I can kill you and still survive."
"Attack, my minions!" he said to his team.
"I don't think they'll listen to you" he said to his evil self.
He looked towards Skulker, Desiree, and Spectra.
"King Karsh told you to listen to what 'Daniel' says right?" he asked.
They nodded.
"Then listen to ME, and help us." he said, pointing out the loophole.
"Sounds good to me" Skulker said, floating over to him.
"I'm all for it" Spectra said.
Desiree nodded, and flew to his side.
Danny's ultimate enemy became furious.
"NOOOOOO!!!!" he shouted, his eyes glowing red, his hair rising up three feet.
He shot at lightning speed at Danny. Danny swerved to the side. Dark Danny instantly stopped, and then shot off so fast, that Danny couldn't avoid him. He grabbed him by his neck. But then, as he looked at the young mans face, he shook his head.
"Killing you just won't bring me enough satisfaction" he said.
Then he looked down.
"But killing HER will!" he said.
Unfortunately, he wasn't looking at Ember; he was talking of Sam.
Since he had only been released by King Karsh only after the being had taken over the ghost zone, he had not heard of ANYTHING that had happened to Danny over those past seven years.
So he released Danny, and flew down at Sam, avoiding the anti-ghost shots shot at him. He grabbed Sam by her neck with one hand, and flew to where the shots couldn't get reach him.
He looked over at Danny.
"how would you like it if I squeezed your girlfriends neck until her eyes popped out?" he said wickedly, as Sam's face began to turn blue.
"I would hate that," Danny said.
He smirked "if she WAS my girlfriend!"
He looked down at Ember.
"Amy; take him out!" he said.
Ember smirked, aimed her guitar at him, and then shot a powerful (unavoidable) blast at him. The force of the shot caused Dark Danny to release Sam. She fell to the ground, but was caught by Danny. He flew down and set her next to Ember.
Ember looked at her.
"Did THAT prove to you that I'm not some evil, maniacal, twisted, hypnotizing bitch that's trying to keep Danny from you?" she asked.
Sam nodded.
"And that I truly do love Danny, and that I wouldn't leave him for all the men in the world?" she asked.
Sam nodded again.
Ember smirked.
"I'd force an apology out of you, but I've gotta go help my husband take out the bad guy!" she said, and then took off. Sidney, Johnny and his shadow, Dani, Spectra, Desiree, Skulker, and Kitty following her.
They joined Danny, surrounding Dark Daniel. They avoided his ecto-blasts, and shot him back.
When the evil being was in his weakest state, Ember handed Danny her guitar.
"Did I ever show you THIS neat feature, honey?" she asked, and then flipped a tiny switch near the whammy bar.
It instantly change into an axe-shaped bass guitar. Danny rolled his eyes, as he smiled at his wife.
"Still a dedicated KISS fan I see" he told her.
She giggled.
Then Danny swung the guitar, and with a quick slice, Dark Daniel was beheaded. Then, with a combined ecto blast from Danny, Danielle, and Skulker, the remnants of the body was incinerated.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!" they heard an even more evil, sinister, demonic voice shout.
From the eye of the storm, floated down King Karsh. He stood nearly 25 feet tall.
"OH NO!" Ember said, as she began to feel weak, clinging to Danny.
"It him…" she said, burying her face into his shoulder.
Danny put his arms around her, comforting her. The whole team looked up at the King, ready to fight to the death.
"You have vanquished my most powerful minion, Daniel Phantom!" King Karsh said to Danny, as he still held Ember.
"And now," he said, putting his arm to his side, then retracting it "YOU SHALL DIE!"
He pointed the tip of the sword at Danny. Danny just smiled.
"You're not really King Karsh" he said simply.
The king pulled his sword back.
"Am I not?" he said, knowing fully well that Danny knew.
Danny nodded.
"You are just an image; of you really wanted to vanquish me, you would really be here." he said "but you cannot come out of the ghost zone, because you would be very weak and fragile, and you do not want to appear in that kind of way."
He flew up to the face of the image.
"But I think you should show yourself, COWARD!" he said.
He grabbed the image by his collar, and with a powerful pull, it faded away, and in it's place, was Kind Karsh himself.
But instead of being the giant he had been the day he attacked the ghost zone, he was barely Danny's height. He was even shorter than him!
"I know you can't survive in the human world; you're such and old ghost, and you come from the deepest realms of the ghost zone that you never evolved to survive out of the ghost zone," he said to him, making sure the whole crowd could hear.
"And if you came here," Danny continued "you would be very weak."
He then raised his hand.
"But now, like I said months ago; YOU'RE GONNA PAY FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE!!" he said, ad then delivered a powerful blow to the King's face.
This sent Karsh flying to the ground. He reached for his sword, and it increased his strength, so he could at least stand up to Danny.
A light bulb went off in Danny's head; just like the shadow was the source of Johnny's powers, and Ember's guitar was the source of her powers, King Karsh's sword was the source of his powers.
"Guys!" he said to his team.
He pointed at Karsh "GET THAT SWORD!" he shouted.
The team shot at King Karsh. He was caught off-guard, so he didn't have time to clone himself, so he was knocked back.
Ember pulled the sword from his hand before he went flying. She threw it into the air, and Danny caught it by the handle.
"And now" Danny said.
"Prepare to DIE, Karsh!" he said.
Danny then broke the sword in half, just like a toothpick.
The King's face fell, literally. Hs face melted off, then his body began to shake.
"NOOOOOOOO!!!!" he cried, as he began to crumble to dust, and then the dust faded away.
Then, in his place, many ghosts began to appear. The ones he had killed. Every last one.
Of course the crowd gasped at the sight of Fright Knight and Pariah Dark, but now that clockwork was back, he just waved his staff, and they disappeared.
"No need to worry" he said "I put them back where they came from."
He floated up to Danny.
"Thank you, Daniel Phantom." he said.
Danny smiled, as he looked down at his parents, Jazz, Sam, and Tucker, who were all smiling back.
Danny looked at Clockwork.
"It's Fenton," he said "Danny Fenton."
The whole town, along with Team independence, and the ghosts he had saved began to cheer at this, as if he had just uttered the greatest phrase ever. Maddie and Jazz both began to cry out of happiness at this, and even Jack teared up at this. Then, to everyone's surprise, the clouds began to clear up. The air lost its chill. Then the whole storm disappeared.
Danny flew down to the ground, the whole crowd still cheering for him. Ember flew down to him, putting her arms around him.
"Congratulations, baby-pop" she said, and then they kissed.
After their kiss, Danny went through the crowd, shaking hands with anyone he passed by as he had an arm around Ember. His team went around him, and joining in on the celebration.
Soon, he was in front of Sam, Tucker, Jazz, and his parents.
He faced Sam.
"Is there anything you'd like to say to Amy?" he said.
Sam sighed, and tears began to fall down her face.
"I-I'm sorry, Ember, for everything" she said, showing the truthfulness of her apology in her face.
Then she turned to Danny.
"And I'm sorry for turning my back on you" she said.
Danny smiled.
"All is forgiven." he said, and hugged her.
But he let go after a few seconds, putting his arm back around Ember.
"I hope you understand now" he said to Sam.
She gave a small smile, and nodded.
"I do understand" she said.
Then Danny turned to jazz, and they hugged. He turned to Tucker, and they both high fived.
He turned to his parents.
"Mom, Dad…." he said.
"Now do you accept me?" he said.
His mother put her arms around him, his father over both of them.
"We do honey, we do" his mother said, still crying.
"We're so sorry Danny" his father said, tears falling down his face.
"Er, I mean, Phantom" his father said,
Danny smiled, and said "call me by the name you gave me; I accept it now."
They resumed hugging him. Ember joined in. Then Jazz. Then Tucker and Sam. Then the rest of his team.
Danny hugged everyone back, happy that everything was all good now.
