It's a Secret!

A small annoyance

In exchange

For a huge feast.

It's a small price to pay, really.

Lighten up, you take everything

so seriously.

Life is just that:

a feast.

That mace-thing

Is really getting old.

And can't you think

Of another nickname?

Why, you're flattering me with all the attention.

See, I'm blushing!

You always take me

at face value.

But you don't seem to notice

That every time you call me a name

Or swing that thing around

You scratch at my mask,

Just a little each time.

If only you'd care to look.

It's dangerous, certainly.

You have absolutely no idea

what you'll find underneath

but I applaud your unintentional bravery

and your attempts, which will remain just that:

attempts.

And don't you know

it's complete suicide

to let evil see into your heart?

Really, you're so reckless and naive

that I don't have the mind

to kill you.

That's right,

I won't kill you, for now.

Try to be more careful in the future, though.

Don't ask too much

Because some secrets are best remained just that:

a secret.
