I padded lightly across the soft, green grass, pouncing on little bugs as I saw them. My ears twitched constantly as someone continued to call me by my new name.

"BunBun!" my new master called from across the clearing.

I quickly bounced to his side, standing shoulder to shoulder with his Pikachu who also is kept out of his pokeball. I rose on my hind legs and smiles up at master Ash. "Yes?" I chirped.

Pika shook his head, "You know he can't understand you."

I flexed my ears and stretched lightly, "Well it was at least worth a try, right?"

"Aw! How cute!" a navy haired girl gushed, coming up from behind me and picking my up from the ground, nuzzling her cheek against mine. She continued to mumble random things that only humans would mumble.

"What the…" I groaned, "Hey! Let me down!"

Pika snickered, "It's what you get for being a Buneary," he walked closer to us, looking right at me with an amused tint to his eyes. "Say hello to Dawn, Ash's companion. And that dark one over there, that's Brock. You should get to know them. You'll be seeing a lot of them."

"Great, Great!" I snapped, "Now make her let me go!"

"You! Ash! I challenge you to a battle!" I turned towards the small child who spook, he was wearing a green suit. One you'd see a boy scout wear. Dawn was also distracted, so I took this opportunity to push out of her unpleasant embrace and quickly jumped away from her.

Master grinned and nodded, "Alright! You've got yourself a battle!"

I gaped and looked towards Pika, "Really?"

He shrugged, "What do you expect from a kids show?"

"I don't know, maybe some plot lines that don't include idiotic encounters or lines like 'you've got yourself a battle'" I shook my head in disapproval.

"Newbie." Pika whispered, while watching our master. I glared at him.

Master took a pokeball from his jacket and threw it towards the ground, "Charmander! I choose you!"

The ball erupted into a mass of light, and out sprang a small dinosaur with a tail ablaze with a glorious flame. The pokemon smiled and pumped his fist in the air. "Yeah, let's do this!" he grinned.

I leaned towards Pika, "That's a pokemon from the first generation, right? He was one of the starters?"

He nodded.

"Nice," I smiled, finally finding something that was decent.

The other trainer pulled out a grey, metallic looking pokeball. He straightened his posture and mimicked masters motion from moments ago, throwing his pokeball to the ground. "Bumblebee, I choose you!" the light erupted again.

My jaw dropped, "Are you kidding me?"

Master chuckled at the large yellow robot, "Oh cool! What kind of pokemon is that?"

"That's not a pokemon, idiot!" I shouted at him, annoyance thick in my veins. "It's a transformer! It's not even from this show!"

Ash pulled out his Pokedex, "Man, it must be a legendary!"

The metallic voice came from the tiny speaker, saying four words that sent me into a roaring laughter that made me fall onto my back.

"You are a moron."
