Mantabre looked upon the large castle with awe. He had never seen such a beautiful structure before. Most of the time, the buildings he saw were in flames or ash. As he walked along the marble steps, he noticed two guards standing there. They were seemingly unarmed, but ominous nonetheless.

"State your business here, Guardian." Said one guard gruffly.

" I must speak with Celestia Her Majesty, for it is quite critical. The humans are readying an attack from the beach.", was the Druid's reply.

"Very well, then. You may proceed."

The guards promptly stepped aside, allowing Mantabre and Allanon to walk inside the massive Main Hallway. Allanon led Mantabre through a series of turns and staircases, until they finally reached the tower to her chambers. Mantabre looked at the height, gulped, and quickly regained his militaristic composure. Then, he walked behind Allanon, trying not to look down. Certain heights Mantabre could take, but this was higher than what he was used to.

Eventually, the two reached a door. Allanon knocked on it once, and sat patiently. Voices could be heard inside, it sounded the Princess was having a visitor. This was a rare occurrence, for she was busy reading reports from her model student in magic. After a few minutes, urgency overtook Allanon's patience, and he opened the door slowly.

"Your Majesty, I bear news of utmost urgency and importance." The Druid said.

The one he was referring to was a tall (slightly shorter than Allanon, I'll assure you), white, regal-looking pony. This one bore a multicolored mane, and a tail of the same colors. This was the royal Princess Celestia, the kind and just ruler of Equestria. She looked at the Druid with shock at first( from his sudden entrance), then her face grew solemn.

"What ails you, dear Allanon, that you would break into my special time with Twilight?", she said.

"Something dire, known as an invasion. An invasion performed by our very enemies, the human race. They are attempting to bring their people here, as well as their imperialistic ideals."

"This is dire...how long have they been here?"

"They arrived as I approached this very country.", was Allanon's dark answer.

Mantabre was a bit flustered at this, of course. Both a man AND a pony were speaking of humans as if they were a bad thing! This angered Mantabre, and he said in outrage:

"You selfish bastards! You know not what good humans can do! We mare a proud race!"

At the sound of this, Celestia looked at Mantabre quizzically. Allanon, however, was not quite as quiet. While Mantabre was having his charade, Allanon simply stomped a dark hoof and said loudly, "ENOUGH."

This was not his loudest voice, yet it sent Mantabre reeling to his senses. Allanon requested a room to stay in, and led Mantabre to their quarters, showing no sign of emotion whatsoever. Mantabre wondered what Allanon was going to do to him.
