In the Wrath If story, Subaru ran away after Rem died by the curse and hadn't returned back to Roswaal's manor for two years to exact his revenge. During that time, Subaru killed Beatrice to finally put her to rest. What if instead of two years, it only had been one? And instead of returning to the manor to exact revenge, he only returned to understand why Beatrice helped him.
