Today was the day Eddie Miller was going to ask Patricia Williamson to become his lawfully wedded wife. As he discretely approached her doorstep, a million questions were buzzing around in his already nervous mind. He was going to pick her up and take her to the boardwalk, where he then would ask her to marry him. All from the heights of the towering ferris wheel.

What if it gets stuck?
What if she says no?
What if I fall off the ride?

Enough with the 'what ifs' he told himself. He looked around for a bit of reassurance. He finally mustered up the courage to press the button that would start this whole ordeal, the doorbell.

Ding dong,

Went the doorbell. He could feel his palms sweating, his whole body shaking.

This is only the begging.

He thought to himself. He heard footsteps coming toward the door. The clicking of heels was ever-present and flooded his mind with memories. He quickly adjusted the hem of his shirt and straightened up.
The doorknob turned. He was met with a smile, which quickly faltered into a confused expression.

"Why are you dressed up?" She asked. He replied with a mutter, "What, you don't like it Yacker?" Her look of confusion disappeared
and was replaced by the rolling eyes that he fell in love with.
"Come on. Lets go." She beamed as he helped her into his brand new porsche.

As they were driving, he turned on the radio to 'Sick Puppies'. Patricia looked at him and he looked at her. They both said in unison, "High School."

When the song and their reminiscing finally ended, Patricia turned off the radio. "Why'd you do that" he asked puzzled. He will never fully understand girls. "Because I did weasel." Eddie being his stubborn self, turned it on.

On, off. On, off. On, off.

Suddenly, there was a loud honk and glass breaking. The last thing he heard was a shrill scream next to him. And that when it all went black.
