As Hinata sat in the padded cell, all she could think about is how much longer would she jump from one world to another. This world had to be the worst so far, she was in a dark cold lifeless room in a straight jacket and woozy from all the drugs in her system and didn't know how long she was trapped in this padded cell. As she heard people by her cell door, it opened up with twelve heavily armed guards who entered; they quickly surrounded her with stun guns and stun batons.
"Please arise Mrs. Uzumaki and follow me," said a voice she recognized all too well. "I have to make sure that you don't hurt anyone else so I'm going to do a little evaluation on your mental health in my office. You did quite a number on the hospital personnel and the local police force before you were detained. I need to see if we need to send you to a maximum security psychiatric hospital for the criminally insane. I'm hoping that it doesn't come down to moving you there." Shikamaru motioned for the guards to grab Hinata and to take her into his private office.
As Hinata was completely surrounded by the guards, she felt dizzy and woozy because of all the medication she was given prior to her arrival in this world. As the guards kept a close eye her to make sure she wasn't making any sudden movements, they didn't want a repeat of what happened the following days. As they came to Dr. Nara's office the guards quickly handcuffed the small woman's hand and feet so she wouldn't be able to move. As the guards made sure that she was imprisoned well in the chair, they nodded and left the room. As Hinata faced Shikamaru he looked at her with his finger on his temple.
"So who are you today? Is this Hinata a friend or foe from another reality?" Shikamaru watched Hinata's face for a reaction.
"You know? You know I'm from another dimension?" Hinata couldn't believe it; she was in a world where someone believed her.
"Hinata you have multiple personalities, so far I witnessed four of them. But that last one the Rokudaime of Konoha was the worst one, she put so many good men and women in the hospital. She broke five officers' jaws; six security guard's with broken arms or legs, eleven orderlies with broken ribs and internal bleeding and wounded many many more. The strangest thing is that the officers had on bullet proof vest and guns and you unarmed them in a matter of seconds and did extensive damage to their vital organs just by striking them. You did all this without even breaking a sweat?" Shikamaru waited patiently for an answer from his patient.
"What's a bulletproof vest and gun?" As Hinata looked bewildered by Shikamaru's question. "If the last Hinata was a Hokage then I'm surprised that she didn't kill everyone that attacked her, especially if she thought she was in grave danger." Hinata looked at Shikamaru waiting for more questions.
"Hinata you have some of the most complex personalities I've ever witnessed each personality says the same thing, that there from a different world. I recorded every session would you like to take a look?" As Shikamaru took out a remote control and cut on the television in front of her.
Hinata looked at the box as the images appeared it was her on a couch lying down, she never seen such technology before. As she looked on the screen a date appeared along with the time and she saw her and Shikamaru talking inside the box.
"I'm telling you Shikamaru, I'm Hinata Akimichi from the Konoha. I'm married to Choji Akimichi, I been bouncing from world to world for over six weeks now. You got to help me figure a way back to my reality, every world I go to is stranger than the next. I need to get back to the village there is a civil war going on as we speak. The Third Hokage has targeted specific clans for annihilation, the Hyuuga's, Akimichi, Nara and Yamanaka must fight side by side to win this war! I have to get back there to help or else all is lost. You were smart in my world maybe in this world you're just as smart. The next Hinata will be here in five days, help her get back to her world.
"You mean the Hinata's of each world are jumping into your body? Interesting a mind that can transfer to another body." Shikamaru on the screen wrote down some more notes on his tablet.
"Yes only Ino Yamanaka and her clan could transfer their mind's to another body, I don't know how my mind or the other Hinata's came to this cruel fate. Maybe one of the Hinata's has the Yamanaka's ability bloodline and maybe it went disastrously wrong somehow."
As that scene cut off, another scene of Hinata appeared on the screen.
"I'm Hinata Hatake of the Konoha, elder of the village. What kind of world is this where machines fly in the air and people ride on horseless carriages? Is this the world of Hinata of the future?" As this new Hinata looked out the window.
"Technology keeps advancing every year Mrs. Uzumaki, do you mind if I ask you what happened to you and how did you get to this place?" Shikamaru looked at this new Hinata as he pulled out a small tape recorder.
"The first time I was at a community meeting speaking about how to make our village better place and the next thing I know I'm lying next to a dead looking Ino in another world. Then this Naruto comes and hugs me out of nowhere and ask if I'm alright. He then tells me that we're married and that some Suna ninja tried to kill him and that Ino and I saved him." Said the Hinata on the screen.
"That Hinata right there was in my world!" Screamed Hinata at the top of her lungs. "Can you make it louder so I can hear it?"
"Calm down Mrs. Uzumaki, this personality was very insightful to me."
"I have an idea what caused these strange circumstances of events that happened, I believe that one of the Hinata's and Ino's caused this effect. In most of the worlds Ino is dead while I am still alive; I believe that Ino is the clue to this puzzle. It's just a theory but so far the evidence supports my hypothesis." As the Hinata on the screen talked to Shikamaru.
"Or maybe it's because you found out that Naruto and Ino were having an affair and expecting a child together soon and that you wish that Ino was dead. I know that your husband is a soldier and was awarded the most highest of honors a soldier can get and that he confessed to you that he had an long time affair with a fellow officer that drove you to this mental state. I know that it must be hard for you knowing that he left you for this Yamanaka woman but life goes on." Shikamaru positioned himself in his chair.
Shikamaru looked at the chained up Hinata in the room as her eyes never left the television.
"What you heard does it bother you Mrs. Uzumaki?"
"Whatever this Hinata is going through in this world it doesn't affect me; I just want to go back to my world. Is there anything else on that magic box that maybe could give me a clue to how to get back home?" Hinata struggled in the chair as she tried to break out of her handcuffs.
"Now, now I don't want to call in the guards, I have one more video to show you. This is the one you called the Hokage, hers is the most interesting one of all." Shikamaru pointed to the screen so Hinata would pay attention.
As the Hokage Hinata on the screen seemed to look directly at them.
"You say this device will record everything I say?"
"Yes it will, now let's begin with your session..." Shikamaru pulled out his tablet and pen.
"First I want to leave a message for the next Hinata; this will help her with her journey back to her own reality. To the next Hinata" as the Hokage Hinata on the screen looked out the box without blinking directly at Hinata." The clue to this enigma lies within the eyes of the Uchiha and the minds of the Yamanaka. If you're the one that this jutsu was used on you must find a Yamanaka clan member and an Uchiha clan member who has the Mangekyō Sharingan to make this work. I believe that the Yamanaka and the Uchiha's are able to set this right by using their abilities…"
All of a sudden an alarm went off making Shikamaru and the Hokage Hinata jump.
"I'm sorry Mr. Uzumaki but I'm being summoned for an emergency, we will pick back where we left off as soon as I handle this problem." As Shikamaru got up and ended their session early on the screen.
"Wait, what was she about to say? I need to know the rest of it! Tell me right now!" Hinata stress was now starting to take its toll on her mentally as she became louder by the second.
"Calm down Ms. Uzumaki or I will have to sedate you once again. You must realize that you already know the answer to your question; you must search deep in your psyche to access your other personalities thoughts. Within time I will get rid of your other identities and you can have a normal and productive life. What you said in the video is irrelevant to your future; I'm here to help you. Now it's time for you to return your room and we will pick up where we left off tomorrow." Shikamaru pressed the button on the side of his desk as two burly orderlies and six security guards came and escorted Hinata out of the office and back to her cell.
"I say we payback that psycho bitch back for what she did to our friends and co-workers!"
"And just how are we suppose to do that? You seen on the news how she took down those police officers without breaking a sweat, what chance do we have on paying her some well place revenge?" Asked one of the orderlies.
"There are nine of us and she will be handcuffed and heavily medicated thanks to the nurse who will give her medication for the evening, she won't be a threat at all. When they bring her down in two days at lunch time we can attack her and say that she imposed an immediate threat to us." Kanna looked at her friends and co-workers.
"I don't know, we could lose our jobs and pensions plus we could get prosecuted. I know she put your husband on life support and he died but we should let the hospital and the cops handle it." Said a worried worker.
"You seen her, she's the devil in disguise! Hell she struck most of us to get away! She broke old man Musashi's ribs, tell me did he deserve that kind of violence?"
Many started to fall for the speakers hate rant on the events that took place five days ago. As they went over the plans on how to take out the lavender eyed beauty. They would wait for the guards to bring her down the west wing where there were no security cameras and no chance of being caught.
"What was the Kage saying about the Uchiha's and the Yamanaka's abilities about reversing this situation? Every world I went into so far Ino was either dead or missing from the village." Hinata mind was racing on how to get the rest of the answer; she wished that Shikamaru would've kept recording the Kage Hinata coversation so she could at least piece together an idea how to get home. She decided to try and break into Shikamaru's office the first chance she got.
"Folks you're witnessing something on camera that I've never seen the likes of before. This petite women known as Hinata Uzumaki has decimated the entire police force and they are calling in more reinforcements as I speak! She has taken down at least fifty well trained officers and the number keeps increasing. We were just informed that she also took out all of the hospital staff that tried to restrain her as well. This woman is unarmed and has been using some kung-fu ninja martial arts type technique to take down anyone who gets in her way!" As the reporter was talking on Shikamaru's laptop excitedly; as he watched the YouTube video it showed the incident that occurred a couple of days ago. "I can't believe what I just saw eight officers tried to tackle her to the ground and she spun her body like a top and flung them off her with ease! Wait… look it super cop Sai from department seven! He's sending his men back so he can face her alone. Look at the two of them as they face off warrior to warrior, each one are throwing blows but none are connecting, wait what's going on! Her hand speed is incredible it looked as though she struck him over a fifty times in just a matter of seconds and she sent him flying into the air at least twelve feet away from where she was standing! This is truly unbelievable people as more policemen come to take her down; she just keeps on defeating them with just the palm of her hand! This is no exaggeration people! If someone like Sai can't defeat her who can!"
"She is quite beautiful isn't she Shikamaru? She doesn't remember you from high school does she?" Said a voice from behind him.
Shikamaru closed his laptop and turned around and faced Kurenai Yuhi the other psychiatrist in the mental clinic. "Good to see you Dr. Yuhi, I have an appointment with Officer Sai in ten minutes how can I help you?"
"You know you should let me handle this case for you, since you know her your judgments could be impartial when evaluating her, plus I know that you use to have a crush on her in high school. Choji told me everything about how you were her secret admirer who left her gifts but she thought it was from that Naruto guy she married. I just stopped by to let you know that I set Hinata Uzumaki C.A.T. scans on your desk so you can see if she has any type of trauma to her skull and brain from that incident that occurred with the police. I took the liberty to go back two months on those scans so you can compare them. "
"Choji talks too much! I let Dr. Hatake examined her and look what happened! Complete and utter chaos and destruction, weeks of work down the drain and now I'm back to square one. Dr. Yuhi I know I can help her, just give me a month and if there's no progress you can take the case off my hands." Shikamaru face shown sorrow, usually it showed a demeanor of self control and confidence.
"Fine, there's that super cop you were looking for, I'll talk to you later." Dr. Yuhi walked away and down the hall.
"Lazy Ass Slick Shik, how are you old pal?" Sai came and man hugged Shikamaru and patted him on the back.
"Fine and please don't use that nickname around here." Shikamaru looked around to see if anyone heard Sai. "I just wanted to ask you about Hinata Uzumaki, do you mind if we go into my office?"
As Sai followed his friend to his office, he couldn't believe how uptight Shikamaru had become over the years.
"You must want to talk about the video on YouTube that went viral, right?" Sai took a sip of his coffee.
"Yeah how was a petite twenty-three year old housewife able to take down an entire police force?" Shikamaru looked into his friend's eyes.
"You tell me? Did she train in martial arts all her life? Did she study in India in ways to control her body? Does she know any Chinese method of controlling her Chi and physical energy?" Sai looked deep into the eyes of Shikamaru and waited for an answer.
"No, she never left this country and what's with those strange questions?"
Sai went into his bag and threw on Shikamaru's desk a beat up bulletproof vest. "You see this? Look at it very closely."
"It's been shot up, so some cop survived a shooting thanks to his bulletproof vest, so what?" Shikamaru examined the vest with care and handed it back to Sai.
"Those aren't bullet holes…those holes were pierced by that small woman's finger tips!" Sai looked at Shikamaru waiting for an answer.
"There is no way Hinata could have done this with just her fingers! It's not possible; it's just one vest so this one could have been…"
"No, we have sixty- eight vests with damage done to them just like this one and some have palm prints embedded so deep into them it actually left her hand print on them! It's incomprehensible how she did this. Is she on any type of steroid drug or any drug that can increase her strength three fold?"
Shikamaru shook his head no.
""Damn it, that was the only good theory we had. I talked to some local martial artists and they all said they never saw any type of martial arts technique she was using…ever. They said they couldn't understand how she hurt those officers that way because it looked like she was throwing soft attacks that couldn't kill a fly. The funny thing though most of the officers suffered from pinched nerves and locked up muscles. I asked an acupuncture specialist about what happened to some of the officers and could she have done this by hitting their nerves; he said it can't be done by someone striking some pressure points on the body with their fingers. He said if they could do that than they would have to study the body for nearly a life time to accomplish such a feat and you would need x-ray eyes to see what nerves to strike. Then here is the stranger part of this story, a man from a Tibetan temple who happened to be visiting saw on the live news feed about what was happening. He saw her technique and swears that she somehow combined Chi energy and physical energy together to take out the officers. He came to the police station just to see her, I talked to him and he told me it was too powerful to be classified as Chi energy and that he didn't know how to categorize this new type of energy that Hinata displayed but Chi energy definitely played a key part in it. Oh and this is the weirdest part of the conversation, this Tibetan monk told me it usually takes decades to master Chi energy and the way she used it would take about five lifetimes to fully master it like she did. I've been in many MMA competitions and went undefeated for years but she overpowered me in eleven seconds flat, that bruised my ego bad but talking to all these specialist about what happened, I don't feel so bad about losing knowing that this house wife is a genius in fighting and some type of super ninja to boot. That Uzumaki chick made the entire force look like buffoons and amateurs; we're the butt of all the jokes in this city and the nation because of her." Sai took a deep breath as he sat back down in his chair.
"What is Chi energy?" Asked Shikamaru.
"Its life energy or spirit energy depending on the religion or culture you're from, I looked it up and it's quite an interesting subject." Sai looked at Shikamaru waiting for his evaluation on Hinata.
Shikamaru was stunned; everything Sai said was too astonishing to have an explanation.
"If you figured out how this woman was able to accomplish such a feat give me a call Slick Shik. Sai got up and left the room so Shikamaru could think things over.
As Shikamaru sighed in exhaustion on all things that Sai told him, he didn't think things could get any weirder today for him. As he sat at his desk and contemplated everything from a logical point of view, he became more perplexed the more he thought about it. Unable to find any solution he decided to take his mind off things by looking at Hinata's C.A.T. scans to clear his mind. As he opened up the documents and scanned the x-rays his eyes grew in astonishment on what he was looking at, he jumped up from his desk and ran straight towards Kurenai's office.
Nearly out of breath he pushed opened Kurenai's door without knocking startling the young woman out of her chair.
"Dr. Nara what is the meaning of this!" Kurenai who was usually composed about most things took offense about him storming into her office that way.
"The C.A.T. scans look at them! You won't believe your eyes when you see them!" Shikamaru handed her the C.A.T. scan of Hinata's brain.
Kurenai looked over the scans and couldn't believe her eyes. Each one showed a different brain pattern as unique as the last one. She knew this had to be some mistake at the lab.
"This is quite strange but it has to be a lab mistake, no one can change their brain activity so drastically in over three months time!" Kurenai handed the scans back to Shikamaru.
"Look it coincides almost perfectly with the other personalities, I mean it's only three of them but what if her personalities' can do these outstanding things that the real Hinata isn't capable of?"
"Like defeating an entire police force? Interesting but I say she was pumped up on too many drugs and her adrenaline paid a big part of it." Kurenai wasn't persuaded quite easily by Shikamaru's theory.
"Tell you what, come and sit in on one of her sessions with me and ask her questions about anything, I know you want to write a paper on how this woman with multiple personalities defeated the entire police department. Her case study along will peek the curiosity of all of our peers in the mental health department." Shikamaru knew just what to say to make Kurenai attend.
Kurenai wanted this case since it made nationwide news and now Shikamaru was giving her permission to sit in on a session, this was something she couldn't pass up for all the tea in china. She agreed quickly and they set the time when they would ask Hinata more questions on her personalities.
As Hinata felt the medication leaving her body she decided to burn it off completely by applying her chakra to her system. For the first time since she awakened to this world her mind was crystal clear but for some reason her body felt drained. As she searched the padded walls for a way out, she heard someone coming. As a slot opened up a guard told her to stick out both her wrists, as she complied with the order, her wrists was handcuffed together. As all five heavily equipped guards came in, they quickly chained her up by her hands to her feet to make sure she wouldn't escape. Shikamaru walked in with Kurenai and looked at Hinata.
"Good morning Mrs. Uzumaki, were going to ask you some questions here first and then we will go into my office to really talk. Right now they are beefing up the security details like yesterday because of your arrival. We have a lot of serious questions to ask you so please be very honest with us." Shikamaru told Kurenai to start the session on asking Hinata anything.
Kurenai probed Hinata thoroughly on everything. From where she was born and where she learned how to fight. Hinata answered honestly hoping to gain their trust so she could get her chains removed. Kurenai was a master of reading people and every answer Hinata gave she could tell was the truth. Kurenai started to believe that maybe this woman in front of her was from a different dimension after all. She quickly threw that thought out; she believed that Hinata was just totally convinced that reality existed in her mind only. Hinata told them all about chakra and spiritual energy that made Shikamaru raise an eyebrow with curiosity. She told them all about Genin, Chunin, Jounins and the one everyone knew as the Hokage Hinata. Kurenai thought how a fractured mind could put together a ninja system, people and places so easily. Even pathological liars stories deviated sometimes to compensate more lies to make it sound more truthful but everything that flowed out of her mouth she could explain easily without any stutter or detections of lies.
"So tell me when do the next Hinata suppose to take your place?" Kurenai waited for an answer.
"Usually it takes seven days, Dr. Nara please can you tell me anything about what the Hokage Hinata had said to you."
"Well this is a treat Mrs. Uzumaki, as I recall you woke up with this personality six days ago making this the seventh day?" Kurenai looked at the pale eyed woman.
"That can't be! I just woke up yesterday to this world." Hinata knew that just couldn't be right.
"Well we had you heavily medicated because you were a threat to others and yourself, we slowly reduced your medication and you only been responding coherently since yesterday and a little the day before that." Shikamaru looked at the woman he fell in love with so long ago hoping he could help her.
Hinata began to act too excitedly and that kind of scared the two psychiatrists, she was pleading for Shikamaru to please help her. She asked to go over some of the files of the other Hinata's so she could get a clue on how to get home.
"Listen to me carefully, is there any machine that could show my brain activity or show my chakra?" Hinata was running out of ideas, she needed help and she had to prove to them without a shadow of a doubt she was genuine.
"Chakra…? What's that?" Asked Kurenai.
"It's the mixture of both spirit and physical energy, in the last world I was in they had a device that could see my chakra. If you have one I can prove it to you!"
Shikamaru stood up when he heard spirit energy and brain activity; this was no coincidence that she knew all about what Sai told him in private. He recalled what Sai said about the energy she was using and that spirit energy played a part in her ability.
"Guards…! I want you to escort Hinata to my office when it's ready!" Shikamaru started to believe Hinata finally.
"Shikamaru you don't truly believe her story? Okay Hinata what time does your other dimension Hinata enters your body?" Kurenai knew that Shikamaru shouldn't be handling this case, he was too personally involved.
"Usually around noon, please help me. I want to return home, Shikamaru has the answers in his office." Hinata was almost in tears.
Kurenai felt empathy for the young woman and thought what could be the harm of going to Shikamaru's office. She agreed with Shikamaru and waited for the call to bring her to the office.
"This is our only chance to payback this Uzumaki chick, be ready to attack as soon as we go to Shikamaru's office! There are no cameras and the other guards will leave the office on my command. We have only one shot at this so make it count!" The guard said on his cell phone as they planned to hurt Hinata for killing one of their friends.
As all three walked out the padded cell to Shikamaru's office, he had an uneasy feeling creeping over him. Looking at Hinata she appeared pale and weak all of a sudden. They quickly hurried to the office, Shikamaru noticed that the guards disappeared and that thirteen hooded men were behind them. They quickly chased the trio down the hall and to his office. As he locked the door and put his desk against the door, he told Kurenai to call security and the police. As she picked up the phone she couldn't get a dial tone and neither one of them were allowed to carry cell phones in the building. Hinata looked worried and could feel the change occurring, she was scared not for herself but for Shikamaru and Kurenai and the people chasing them. The next Hinata who came in this world could be evil and kill everyone without a care in the world or the next one could be a saint and end up being killed by that mob for an action she had no part of.
"Give us the girl Dr. Nara, you two won't be hurt! She must pay for her sins!"
"Kanna? Is that you? Please I know you're upset but killing an innocent woman will only bring you misery in life" Shikamaru was cut off.
"Don't try an psycho-analyze me with your fancy college bullshit! Give her to us now, because it's just a matter of time before we get through this door!"
"Shikamaru the change is almost complete, please be safe and don't let this personality hurt anyone else!" Hinata dropped into Kurenai's arms passed out.
Kurenai placed Hinata on the ground and began to fear for her safety as the group finally made it through the door.
"There she is Kanna, get your revenge and then let's get the hell out of here."
Shikamaru tried to fight back the mob but he was beaten and kicked backed next to Kurenai and Hinata. As he looked at Hinata through a nearly closed eye, he saw her eyes open but they were that of a different color and had three tomoe marks around her pupil. This startled Shikamaru as he saw her raise up out of Kurenai's arms.
"Well it seems that I'm a fugitive in this world and these insignificant insects come to take my life! Since I don't know what this world holds for me, I suggest you masked bastards put down your weapons and leave while I'm in a good mood!" Hinata looked into the crowd and they seemed to cower from her statement.
"Don't be afraid of her she's handcuffed… attack now!" Yelled Kanna as her mob ran toward Hinata.
"You've been warned… Amaterasu!"
As the black flames engulfed the mob except for Kanna, they all yelled in excruciating pain as their flesh burn away from their bones. Kurenai and Shikamaru looked in horror at what was being done to the mob, and then it came to them like a knife in the neck. There really were Hinata's jumping from dimension to dimension and displaying incredible powers beyond imagination. As they stared in awe, they watched as the black flames returned to her eyes. As the new Hinata turned around she looked at the two of them on the ground and then she gave a wickedly evil smirk that made their hair on the back of their neck stand up.
"Let me get rid of these chains and then we will have a nice long talk." Hinata body phased like a ghost and all the chains fell to the floor in front of her, she quickly turned to Kanna and pointed to her.
"Take off your clothes or you die next!" This new Hinata voice rung with icy cold hatred and fear.
Kanna stripped from her clothes and gave them to Hinata.
"Which world are you from Hinata?" Shikamaru could barely stand as he made eye contact.
"Ahh... Shikamaru Sarutobi and Kurenai Hyuuga, it seems that the Senju allies are now my allies in this world."
"Who are you?" Asked Shikamaru again.
"I'm future matriarch of the Uchiha clan, wife of that cursed husband of mine Naruto Senju! I will the power of heaven and hell in my eyes; I'm the mistress of the Mangekyō Sharingan! I'm Hinata Senju-Uchiha at your service!"
"You're married to Naruto Uzumaki in this world." Kurenai got her courage up to finally speak.
"Uzumaki…? I see in this world he's a member of that cursed seal masters clan. I was made Naruto's wife to stop the bloodshed between our warring clans, it's only a political marriage not that of love between a man and a woman. Now tell me where I can find Ino Yamanaka and Naruto Uzumaki…was it? I need to get back home and that bitch is the clue for me to return home." Hinata looked at the two of them as she put on the clothes given to her.
"We don't know, she's now with Naruto and about to be married to him soon." Shikamaru knew this Hinata was bad, so he had to tell her the truth if he wanted to save Kurenai and himself.
"Leave it to a Senju to marry from weak insignificant clan; I expect nothing less from the Naruto's in all the dimensions. They're all so…so…pathetic! Oh well I guess you two are my guides to this strange world, so get ready to help me find Ino Yamanaka we have seven days so let's get started." Hinata eye tomoe started to swirl as Shikamaru and Kurenai were pulled into a vortex along with Hinata and disappeared altogether.
Kanna seeing this broke down and screamed in terror as she was surrounded by her friends and co-workers that were burnt beyond recognition. She knew that Hinata was truly a demon sent from hell and her and friends paid the price for pissing off a demon.
As Hinata woke up, she was lying in a huge bed. She quickly got up and saw a mirror and ran to it. As she looked in the mirror she covered her mouth in astonishment on seeing how she looked.
