First of all, welcome back to tha story!
Secondly, I'm looking for a good name for the school, so if you have a suggestion ^_^
The winner may suggest a subject for my special this weekend! (I would love Doctor Who, just saying, because it's almost the day of the doctor *flails*)
Anywhooo (get is, 'cuz doctor WHO?)
Let's begin the reading!

POV Vanessa

Our classroom was one of the weirdest I had ever seen. The walls were painted white and covered in science posters. The topics went from DNA to animals. There was a weird multitude from posters with snakes on it. There were 2 windows at the right and one in the back, looking over the gym hall. Scattered around were varies skeletons of animals and expansive looking machines that did god knows what. It looked so much different from my old one, but it was actually also really nice. Not plain and boring like normal.
Since I was the last one to enter, everyone had already found a seat and Teep and I had to hurry towards some seats in the back. It was next to Duncan and Zoey, seemed like they kept it free for us. I smiled thankfully. Teep sat next to Duncan. I waved, but he was busy looking at the front of the class; where Skyla and Miss Hazel. No idea what they were talking about, Skyla seemed very happy though. It's the beginning of the school year, I get that you can be happy to see your friends, but so happy? A sudden burst of envy went through me, followed by remorse. I guess I had to share my best friend now. I signed.
"What's the matter?" Zoey asked me. I shook my head. It doesn't matter, just my usual selfishness. Miss Hazel cleared her throat. "Good morning everyone," she said. She looked on a list. "I see most of you already know each other from last year, being in the same class, although we have 2 new pupils. Would you two be okay with introducing yourself?" she smiled at us sweetly and mentioned for us to come to the front of the class. I looked at Teep. If he was okay with it, so was I. He shrugged.
"Yeah sure," I said, walking towards the front. Teep followed behind.
"Uhm.." I swallowed, nervousity kicking in. I looked at Zoey, she had her thumbs up. "I'm Vanessa and this Teep," I started, a little unsure about what to say. "I like writing, performing, singing and Judo. Teep likes archery and-"
"Vanessa," Miss Hazel interrupted me, "Maybe Teep would like to introduce himself?" Shit, she didn't know? God, why us? Again? This is going to be awkward!
"Uhm, you see Miss Hazel, Teep is mute…" I really didn't know how to explain it. Every year it was the same; there were always teachers who didn't know, but our homeroom teacher? You would think we've gotten used to this already, but it stays just as awkward as the first time. Miss Hazel's eyes widened. I quickly looked away.
"I-I didn't know, excuse me". She said.
It took a while before she said anything else, people in the class started to whisper. Eventually she walked towards us and laid a hand on each our shoulders.
"I'm afraid they forgot to tell me, maybe he should transfer to the special class? I don't think a lot of our teachers know sign-language and it would be easier for him". I heard Teep sign. I shook my head.
"I know sign-language, Miss, so it didn't seem like a problem at the enrolment," I said, hoping this would be over soon. Everyone was looking at us. Teep ticked on my shoulder.
I HAVE A PAPER FOR THE TEACHER He signed, I'LL GO GET IT. I nodded and turned towards the teacher. She was looking confused at us. Teep walked towards his back.
"He's getting a paper from his backpack for you," I explained. Teep returned and gave the paper to the teacher. She quickly read it.
THIS IS AWKWARD I signed. Teep smiled and nodded.

"And that's the story of how our teacher got confused like hell," I told Hannah and Kim. She laughed. "That and the obsession with snakes!" Zoey shouted/said. Teep and I nodded.
"In the middle of class, she went to the back and got this huge snake out of an aquarium. It swirled around her like a scarf, and she didn't say anything special about it." I face palmed. "It was so weird!"
"Does it have a name?" Kim asked.
"No idea," Zoey answered, "ask Duncan, maybe he knows? He stayed longer to look at the snake." she had a disgusting look on her face.
"Don't like snakes, Zoey?" Nilesy asked. She shook her head.
"No, they're filthy, swirly, and so weird! I mean their skin is just… gruesome!" She said, shaking her head. "I prefer mushrooms." I giggled. Because that is so normal, for Zoey anyways.
"Is that why you so science? So you can dissect mushrooms?" Duncan interrupted, appearing from nowhere. He came to sit with us at the table. He pointed to Lewis and Simon, who were both still getting their meals at the counter. We were in the dorm kitchen, getting food and eating and crapping about teachers. All hail lunch break!
Zoey furiously shook her head. "You shouldn't dissect mushrooms! Barry and Jeff told me it's painful! I joined sciences so I can make an artificial arm once I lose mine! Jeff also told me that."
"That you'll make an artificial arm in the future?" I asked, confused as to whom Jeff and Barry were. I was about to ask Teep, but he signed I should ever bother.
"No!" she said, smiling al of a sudden. "They said I lose my arm!" That's why you're smiling? Uhm, I think there's a little thing wrong with Zoey. I looked at Teep again for help, he laughed.
"So how is everyone?" Lewis sat next to Hannah and Simon sat next to him. I shrugged.
"Good, you?" said Hannah.
"Better now that I see you," he replied.
"Awwwwwww" Me, Kim and Nilesy said. The couple looked at us, irritated.
"What?" I laughed. "It's cute." Lewis blushed and Hannah rolled her eyes, making me laugh harder.

The break went on like this, talking and irritating each other, laughing about stupid things. Everyone was a little weird and special in their own way, but I decided that it only made them more awesome. The bell rang far too quickly, and we had to go to our first official class. Nilesy walked with us towards our next classroom, and winked once we arrived, running towards his own classroom which was on the other side of the campus apparently.
"Playboy", I mumbled, but blew him a kiss either way. I quite liked it to be honest; the flirting. He caught it and locked it in his heart, making some people whistle towards us. I can't wait until class is over. Already.

What do you think? I wasn't sure about this chapter in the beginning, but in the end I was happy with it.
