Hi!
This is just a little author's note to say that this story is officially completed. I tried and tried to continue it, but it was originally conceived as a one shot based off of my own experience on a train with a SWAT team, and it really needs to stay as that. It's not an organic meeting for the two, and frankly, they live in completely separate worlds - it would be too hard to figure out a way to create a story where they got to interact frequently.
However, if you were one of the reviewers who urged me to continue, know that I so appreciated that. I love the idea of a teenaged high school/college Jane and Maura, and I wanted to delve into that. I had a really specific idea of how a high school Jane and Maura would met, and I also wanted to correct this weird assumption I feel like people have in fanfiction that Jane has to be an idiot or a jerk in high school. I understand the authors' reasonings, but I hate that I haven't seen a fiction where Jane is a smart, high-achieving student, which canon supports.
So anyway, if you want to see my version of a high school Jane/Maura, read "Freedom Winds".
