Done, now on wards with the story
Leo sat at his brother's bedside. He watched Mikey sleeping, for once, peacefully.
Thinking back to some memories of him and Mikey. He remembered the song that he always used sing to Mikey when he had had a bad dream. Believing this was a perfect time to sing it, he made sure no one was nearby or within hearing distance.
He went back to Mikey's bedside and plonked down on the edge of the bed.
"Hey brother

He paused as he imagined the music continuing in his hand playing a little beat out on the bed, creating small, dull thuds.

The imaginary music finished in his head.
He looked up to see Mikey smiling at him, with his big, blue eyes seeming to be brighter again.
"Still remember all the words then, eh Leo"? The cheesy grin changed to a loving smile. "Thanks Leo, I still remember that". He said as Leo pulled him into a tight hug. His voice had improved massively, though it still made his throat tickle a little.
"Oh, Mikey, you're awake. We though we were going to lose you. It was like you were giving up. You were so weak, and sick, we didn't know what to do". He said, his eyes lined with tears. He pulled away to see Mikey's face twisted in hurt.
"You thought I would give up"? He asked, shocked, but then his expression softened. "I would never give up. Especially not on my family".
"I know you wouldn't, Mikey, its just you were so quiet and ill, and it made us all so worried". He replied, wiping his eyes. He pulled Mikey into another tight embrace.
"I mean it". He said, his cheek rested on Mikey's shoulder.
"Mean what"? Mikey replied, stilling holding his hug with Leo.
"The song, every single word. I mean it". Leo whispered back, uttering the simplest truth.
Mikey dipped his head, hiding his embarrassment, but then he looked back at Leo.
"Sing it again. Please Leo"? He said, pulling out his old puppy dog eyes.
Leo smiled in return, nodding.

And they sat. Enjoying each others company. Enjoying life. Enjoying their family, but enjoying the unspoken bond between the eldest and youngest. They fell asleep in each others embrace.
They didn't wake when the door open a crack, and in scuttled Raph and Don who then climbed on the bed.
They climbed in the bed from the opposite end and quickly fell into slumber land.
Mikey cracked open an eyelid, and seeing everyone in his bed, he suddenly felt a great sense of belonging, and snuggled down further in the covers, and met his brothers in dream land.#
So yeah, that was that, but I think one or two more chapters and this baby is finished!
