Clint pulled up in front of Gage's apartment building. He warned him it was small but at this point he didn't give a fuck. He didn't care. He parked his motorcycle, getting off with only his duffel bag, making his way into the dingy building. He wasn't sure if his brother was back at work in the tower or not, if not he had to be home sometime. He walked down the hall to the door number he had written down. He knocked, hoping he was home.

Gage was home. It was his day off and he managed to get his girlfriend away from the bar to relax. She was snuggled into his chest, a sheet the only thing covering them. He heard the loud knocking, groaning. "uhhh... come on its my day off.. what the fuck... can't I just sleep in." The warm body next to him moved ... yelling towards the door, starting to get out of bed. "Who the fuck is it!? I'm busy!"

Clint rolled his eyes from the other side of the door. "It's your brother. let me in." Delila turned over, looking at him., blonde hair falling over her shoulder.. "mmm you should answer it babe."

Gage frowned. Why was his brother here? "Clint?" He kisses her cheek before getting up, pulling on his boxers... shaking his head.. why is he here he never leaves her side.. going to the door opening it.. "Hey what's up ?"

Clint saw how he was dressed, shaking his head as he walked inside. "Alot of drama, that's what's up unless you've failed to see today's gossip tabloid." Gage glanced at the bed than at the cuff dangling from his wrist.. "I've been a little tied up." Clint just gave him a look. Gage smirked looking over at Delia.."Hey baby. think you can give us a little brother time?" Delila smiled/smirked to him, already half dressed in little shorts and tight shirt, getting her tiny purse. Already having her heels on. brought her arms around his shoulders. "Of corse. call me when your done, I'm gonna go check on the bar." Clint couldn't help but looked a tad surprised. she was damn hot, he wasn't expecting that.

Gage smacked her tight ass as she started to walk out the door. He looked at Clint.. with one raised eye brow. "What? Don't look so surprised." Closing the door behind her. "She's really not my type but hey I'm not a monk.. besides she's damn good in bed... so spill what's going on?" Pulling his jeans over his lean hips, sitting on the couch.

Clint sighed, pulling out a tabloid he picked up, handing it to him. "This."In bold letters is said "Stark Affair with Bodyguard" Gage grabbed it from him sitting up. "Oh shit.. this is serious.." Looked up eyes wide .. " Is Tony on his way to blast you or something? Damn man.. where is your hand.. " squinting looking closer at the picture. Clint he ran both his hands thru his hair. "No, he isn't and that's just half of another fucked up issue but I couldn't stay there. The heart break, as cheesy as that sounds, was just...too much." Damn, he felt his eyes water, looking away to the ground. "I means it's not just affecting me, Tony and Kim but Quinn as well. She can feel it, some sort of special gift she has.

Gage looked him in his eyes frowned. "sonofvabitch you really love her don't you?" Running his hand through his hair. "Your welcome to stay." Looking around at his shabby apartment. "Here if you want.."

Clint sighed. "been in worse. Thanks man. Sorry to intrude like this." Gage stood and hugged his brother. "No way are you intruding.. I love you man... besides...your my hero "Hawkeye." He snickered. Clint hugged back with a roll of his eyes. "I'm always saving your ass" Smirked weakly.

Gage sighed. "Yeah whatever" He laughed lightly. "Where's your shit? wait this is a good time to get me in with the Starks... I can be your eyes and ears"Clint showed his duffel bag before he shrugged. "You can try but I think Tony is very weary of another bodyguard. You know how distrustful he is."

"Damn ...who do I have to kill to get an in?" He frowned looking down .Clint smiled weakly. "Only reason I did was because he knew me before and had fought together in new York."

Gage gave him a look. "See where that got you.. if only you could have kept.." His face turned bright red. Clint gave him a warning look. Gage bust out. "I'm sorry but its true ." He started flailing his hands as he spoke. " If you coulda just kept you dick in your pants.. you would have had it made." pointing at him "You know I'm right.". Clint gave him a glare before defeating. He was right. "I need a drink." Gage mumbled. "Pussy whipped." Speaking louder. "Let me get dressed we can go down to the bar." Clint smirked weakly. "I heard that".. Gage just smirked as he grabbed his cloths and sauntered into the bathroom to shower. Clint signed, sitting on the couch in the small living room, running both hands thru his hair.

It was a few hours later when Tony finally did wake, looked over, feeling a weight on him. Kim had fallen asleep holding him. He felt his eyes water, still in disbelief she would stay with him. He spoke quietly. "JARVIS,what's the time?" "It is currently 5 in the afternoon. After your breakdown you fell into a deep sleep. It was most likely needed from being up 20+ hours." Tony heard the slight sternness in his voice, rolling his eyes. "Thank you JARVIS." He turned over, starting to wake Kim up. They needed dinner. She groaned, opening her eyes. "mm how long were we asleep?" " A few hours. It's five now." She sighed, before holding him tightly. "I love you." He held her close, kissing her head. "I love you to now lets go get dinner ready. I'm sure everyone is hungry." Kim smiled weakly, still worried about him. "Guess I should make dinner then.." He smiled, sitting up, holding her close. "Unless you want me to to burn the kitchen down. I can help. A little. Just not actual cooking. I'm sorry, am I rambling? I can stop, sorta-" She smiled, kissing him holding his face. He melted, stopping, holding her closer. She pulled away with a soft, serious look. "you'll be ok. I promise. Your not going to be fighting alone." He swallowed the lump that was forming in his throat. She always could see right thru him. He let out a shaky breath before putting a smile on. "I know angel.. I know."

Within a few minutes they made there way upstairs, she went to the fridge as he went to the living room, seeing Quinn, Katie and Steve. He raised an eyebrow. "Steve? When did you get here?" Steve saw Tony, sitting up. Katie was watching them now as Quinn was asleep on the floor. Pillow and blanket all. Steve got up, going to Tony. "JARVIS called me in. He said there was a domestic situation going on, that he needed me here." Tony looked confused but Kim spoke up, hearing them. "Wheres Clint?" This time JARVIS chose to speak up. "Agent Barton has left the building. I believe he needed to get away for an amount of time. I was unsure of how long so I contacted Captain Rodgers."

Katie smiled, standing. "So Clint is gone? Like for good?" "I am unsure of Agent Bartons departure but he did pack a bag. At least a day or so at the minimum." Kim swallowed, she wasn't sure how she felt about that. It was good temptation was out of reach but he never even said goodbye. Tony nodded. "Ok. Thanks Jay. Well Steve your welcome here long as you like." Steve nodded. "Thank you., did you need any help with anything?" Tony smiled, looking to Kim then to Steve again. "No, I think we got dinner covered for tonight. You just spend time with the girls." Steve nodded before going back to Katie, sitting back down on the couch. Quinn was watching Spongebob but had fallen asleep on the floor, little pillow put under her head and blanket over her. Tony saw that, pointing. "Is she ok?" He frowned." Katie nodded. "Yeah, just worn out from the roller coaster of emotions. She fell asleep watching spongebob. We didn't want to move her." Tony nodded with a smile before walking back into the kitchen.

Kim was at the counter, preparing different things like lettuce, tomatoes and such. She was slicing a tomato. He noticed how upset she looked, he frowned, walking over. "Angel?" She let out a shaky sigh. "Yes?" "Are you ok?" She nodded. "mmhmm." He noticed how tight that sounded. Within a few seconds she jumped. "Ahh!" She held her finger, having cut herself. He saw, quickly getting a towel, wrapping it around her finger. "Here. Put pressure on it." She bit her lip, holding the towel. Tears already starting to fall.

Tony lead her to a seat as she started to sniffle. Seeing her tears, he wiped them away with his thumb,. "Angel, you are not alright. What's wrong?" She cried quietly. "Clint just left..just like that. He didn't even say goodbye." He felt a pang of jealousy and hurt but he ignored it, bringing her into his arms, kissing her head, making sure she kept pressure on her cut. "shh I know..I know.." He wasn't sure how she was gonna help him. He was a mess. He was an Alcoholic. He was impulsive, stubborn and has no self-worth. But holding her now, he could feel how broken this affair with Clint had made her. The guilt and confusion and abandonment. He knew all those well. They were gonna have to fix each other. Good thing he knows how to fix things. He wasn't so sure on her part. He wasn't sure he could be fixed.

Gage came out dressed in jeans a tight T-shirt and boots ran his hands through his short damp hair sending it in disarray. "Ready when you are bro." Clint nodded, getting up."Ready." Gage smacked him on the back pushing him towards the door. "Than let's go.. we can walk, its just around the corner .. you'll forget old what's her name in no time." Clint glared before rolled his eyes. "This isn't some high school break up Gage." Gage rolled his eyes."Than stop acting like a moony eyed bitch...just wait till you see the women in this bar.. you'll have them eating out of your hand." "You've never had a break up have you?" Gage thought a minute.. than grinned. "Plenty... about one a week." Clint chuckled, shaking his head. "that's not exactly a "Break up"" " Yeah ..yeah it was... they balled and begged like crazy." Gage shook his head. "Sometimes I even felt a little bad for them . "He looked back up with a wicked grin on his face and winked ."Come on let's get some shots in us." Clint shook his head with a chuckle. "Sounds like a plan." Walking in, he saw Delila. "I see your girl's hard at work."

Gage smirked weakly.. waved at her. "Yeah.. don't use that term again ok... we're not an item... just hook up.. to keep me from being lonely." pushing his brother towards the bar. Clint rolled his eyes. "Yeah..sure" Delila smiled over, waving to them as she gave a patron a beer. Gage sat on a bar stool. "hey sweet thing... how about a few shots and a couple of beer.. we have a memory to drowned tonight." Delila smirked. "Some memory drowning shots coming right up" Walked away, getting shots ready.

Gage leaned back on his elbows on the bar. "Man why are you doing it? Your too good for that job.. too good for her.. you deserve better " Clint gave him a raised eyebrow. he shook his head. "Is that a compliment or an insult?" Gage smirked. "Compliment to you.. not her." Clint gave a half glare. "Watch how you talk about her."Gage just handed him a shot. "I'm just saying.. you deserve someone loyal to you." "Well it was my dumb ass fault she wasn't, I just had to fall in love with an almost married woman." Deilla brought some shots over with a knowing smirk. "So what girl broke his heart?"

Gage smirked. "The soon to be Mrs. Stark." Delila smirked. "Impressive. High class." Clint sighed, taking a shot quickly. Moments like these he wishes he never met his gorgeous red head who was soon to marry a billionaire. Gage shot his whiskey than handed Clint his beer. "She's really nothing special.."Clint looked over, giving him a warning glare."I said watch how you talk abut her." He paused, taking a sip of the beer. "How about we talk about your life instead of focusing on my impressive fuck up. how is your life going?" Gage cleared his throat, holding his beer he pointed towards an empty booth.."Well you know hiding out from dad... trying not to get shot." Clint saw the empty booth as well, signaling to move over to it, got up, taking his drink. Gage continued as he stood, moving with His brother. "I really need to get in the house.. the tower is so boring." Rolling his eyes as he sat down. Clint gave him a look as he sat down. "What are you going on about?" He said as he sipped his beer. Gage spoke, sounding annoyed. "I'm not used to all the boring stuff.. look at the badges.. guard door.. smile... ugh! I don't want the old action... but I want some."

Clint sighed, sipping his beer. "I know what you mean." Gage perked up his eyes bright. "so I have a chance?" Clint sighed. "Slim but yeah. Just gotta find a way to gain his trust. If your good with kids, that's already a shoe in the door." Gage took a shot of jack before speaking. He knew he was gonna get a broken nose by the end of the night. "So did she let you fuck her?"He grinned, continuing.."Or did she just suck your dick and tease you like a dirty." Clint was taking a sip of his beer when his brother spoke, nearly spitting it out, glaring. "What the fuck did you say?" Gage looked to him, asking as if he was talking about the weather. "I said is she just a tease or did she actually let you fuck her?"

Clint grumbled, looking away. "None of your damn bussniess." Gage winked. "Damn teases.. I can't stand that shit... I think we need another shot.. hey baby... can you bring us some shots?"

Delila smiled over from the bar. "Right away babe."

Clint glared, looking away. "He doesn't deserve her. Damn alcoholic rich bastard." Gage leaned forward his forearms resting on the table. "The way I see it they deserve each other.. hes a man whore.. and she is no better.. hooking up when she already has a man." He looked away, waiting for a punch that hasnt come yet. Clint glared over. "Don't blame her for any of that shit." He looked away. Staring at his beer for answers that weren't coming. "It was all my fault. If I could have just kept my distance, she wouldn't have a broken heart and Tony wouldn't be having emotional breakdowns. I should have never gone there. I've fucked up there whole family." Delila brought the drinks over, fronting at Clint. Noticing the tense atmosphere he had. Placing the drinks on the table. "Here you go boys."

Gage took his shot downing it, letting the warm amber liquid burn through him. "Man its not all your fault.. she could have said no. tell me how many women has Tony been with since her..or men for that matter? Didn't I read somewhere he was Bi?"

Clint took his shot, downing it. "Far as I know he hasn't been with anyone since he met her. An him being bi isn't really a surprise. He's either in his lab drinking or inventing something or spending time with his daughters or on a mission with the other avengers. He has a full plate."Gage smirked. "So you answer is no.. he's been able to turn down offers.. but she hasn't... that spells whor.-". Clint glared over. "Don't you start. Now can we just forget about her for tonight? How is life with Blondie over there? Lets talk about your love life little brother." Gage chuckled. "Oh.. no... what you want tips on how?" winked again. "Nah she's good.. we um.. get along... and uh... well.." He ran a hand over the back of his neck than over his hair. "Fuck Clint... you know I'm not good with that relationship shit.. its just...you know...fun." Clint chuckled, shaking his head. "So if someone were to start flirting with her you wouldn't be jealous?" Clint could already see plenty of eyes watching Delila at the bar.

"Nah.. its fine.."Gage smiled. "Besides she's hooked on me." He spoke louder. "huh baby?" Delila smirked as she walked over with more drinks, kissing him. "Of course babe." Clint smiled weakly, taking a drink of his beer. Gage pushed him another and took one himself.. "You know you can do better..she's not even that pretty... cute..maybe.. but you need someone smokin hot... she's common... must be something wrong with her if her own husband won't fuck her anymore." Clint growled in the back of his throat, taking two more shots, nearly breaking the shot glasses as they landed on the table "Shut up." Gage's eyes widened..his next shot part way to his lips. "What ? All I said was she must be a lousy fuck... obviously its not you.." Clint gave him a glare that if look could kill. "You have no idea what your talking about. You don't know her."Gage took the shot enjoying the burn. "Look I'm just saying women like her stay for two reasons.. either your good in bed or the money is there... she is more than likely a gold digger."

Clint glared, grabbing Gages shirt, bringing him close. "You have no idea what she is like or what she has been thru. She is no whore. She is no gold digger." Gage scowled growled in the back of his throat. "Get your fucking hands off me.. or I will beat your ass right here." Clint glares, not letting go. "I'd like to see you try." Gage got up pulling Clint with him grabbing his wrists. "Is she fucking worth it? She fucking left you."Clint growled. "She's worth everything. I would give my life for her." He roughly let go of his brothers shirt." Gage looked to Clint. "Than why the hell aren't you fighting for her?" Clint glared. "What do you think I've been fucking doing the last year? I've been fighting for her. He saw the news, he let her go, she went back to him. I lost. OK? I fucking lost." He felt his eyes water. Damn, alcohol was already getting to him. "You...you lost? You never lose...you never miss. what the hell are you going to do than?" Clint shrugged, sitting back down, taking another shot. "I don't know." Clint paused, sitting back down. "Sorry about bringing all this shit down on you. I just...had nowhere else to go." Gage sat down. "Dude, it;s cool but you can't let her keep you down. You gotta do something." Clint nodded. "Yeah..I'l talk to Fury I suppose." He sighed, staring back into his mug of beer, hoping for some kind of sign to go back, to whisk her and Quinn and Katie away. But he got nothing but the amber liquid staring back at him.

He tried his best to ignore the ache he felt. He knew this ache wasn't from the Heart break. It was the connection he had with her. Why they were like moths to flames. It was deep and burning and hard to ignore. He knew he was feeling her own heartbreak as she was feeling his. They could feel everything the other felt. He down a shot of whiskey, ignoring the watering of his eyes and ache in his chest.
