A/N: For this chapter, please listen to "Timeless" from Austin and Ally. Sorry for the shortness of this chapter. Thought it would be great to stop there. I apologize if I haven't updated recently, but I'll try to update when I can.
Chapter Four
Austin tried to sleep but couldn't. All the memories he had with Ally stirred in his mind. The memories of them being together kept replaying on his mind. His first kiss with her. His first time feeling jealous. His first date with her (though unsuccessful). The first time they argued. The first time they had to part away from each other because of his tour and her record deal. The time they had reunited again and finally confessing their feelings to each other once again. The time when they finally started dating again and finally admitting this would be their first true date. The time when they dated successfully. The small moments they had together. Oh, and he couldn't forget, the first time he felt like his life seemed complete when they were together as they made music together.
Those memories, he realized for a while now, would never continue. Those days would be over, and it crushed Austin's heart. He felt suffocated. He felt destroyed. Those memories would now belong to another guy's, belong to Sheldon's to be exact. Where was his happy ending? Where was his 'life couldn't get better than this'? Where was his princess? He was no Eric. He was no Prince Charming. He was no Beast. He didn't get his princess. No, scratch that. He did have the princess, but he let his fears get the best of him. He let her go because of his stupidity (like always).
He wanted happiness. He wanted his dream to come true. He wanted the way his life was before he let his fears get to him. He wanted little Austins and Allys. He just wanted Ally. He wanted to be the one to make her feel better. He wanted to be the one to make her laugh. He wanted to be the first to hug her and the last to let her go. No, scratch the latter. He never wanted to let her go. He wanted to be the one that kisses her and have those sparks flying around them. He wanted to feel those soft lovely lips that makes him feel like he was in heaven. He wanted to hear the 'I love you's that makes him always feel better. He wanted to be the one to love her and for her to love him in return and with as much as his love for her is. He wanted 'Austin and Ally' again!
The pain in his heart is excruciating. He felt the throbbing pain of his heart and mind. His body aches to find something to make it all better. He wanted Ally to make him feel better. He wanted to feel her touch so much. He needed it so much. Ally. Ally. He needed Ally. He needed her right now. Because if she didn't come right now, he would go insane.
All of a sudden, he heard the door to his room open. It was strange since the nurse wasn't supposed to come for another few hours.
And then he heard it.
He heard her voice. His wish had been answered.
"Austin," her voice whispered loud enough to hear, "Are you asleep?"
"A-Ally?" His voice squeaked. Darn, his nervousness and excitement. Ally heard him. She heard him calling for her!
He could hear her small feet hurrying inside and ran to him. He wished his room wasn't so dark because all he could see is her outline. The darkness wouldn't let him see her. He wanted to see her face so much. He wanted to see her glow like an angel every time he saw her.
"Shh, Austin. I'm here," Ally whispered. He felt her warm hands resting on his cheeks, and he could feel a pair of lips kissing the top of his forehead. Austin couldn't help but close his eyes and felt the loving touch of his partner. His soul mate.
"Ally... how did you know?" Austin whispered, his voice quivering for some unknown reason. But he knew, the feeling of Ally's touch had made him feel again. Her touch had always made him better.
"Because I know you. Because you were screaming inside for help. I'm here now. It's going to be okay, Austin. Things will be okay," Ally whispered to him.
"R-really?" Austin asked in a child-like fashion.
"Always," Ally answered, kissing him once more but on top of his head. He loved the feel of her. He loved her scent. And with that, he could feel himself relax.
Ally started singing the lyrics of 'You Can Come to Me' in a form of a lullaby. Austin smiled and started to sing his verse. And in the end, they completed the song. This feeling, it felt right. Just the two of them. And no matter what, he knew now, he just couldn't make it without her. No fear will take her away from him now.
Austin was about to tell Ally about his feelings, but it was ruined when the door suddenly opened.
"Whew, that was fun!" Dez's voice said excitedly.
"You idiot, when I said to give them a wild goose chase. I didn't mean to bring and let loose a wild goose!" Trish yelled at him and a few slaps were heard with Dez answering it with a few yelps for each slap.
And he laughed. Austin laughed so hard he could feel his sides hurting. He had great friends willing to do everything in their power to make him feel alive again, and the woman he loved more than life itself came to him when he needed it the most. And that was all that mattered. The four friends are together again like they were in the past.
Too bad Austin had a girlfriend and Ally had a boyfriend...
