"Kimi," A distant voice said, gently shaking her shoulder. Kimi let out a groan as she pushed the hand away, resting her head back on the seat. "Kimi." The voice pressed, shaking her a bit more roughly. Still no response.
"Oh fuck this, move!" Another voice suddenly said. There was some shuffling before a hand slapped her. Kimi's eyes opened up immediately as her body jerked back in surprise from the sudden slap.
"Great,look who's finally fucking awake." Hidan said sarcastically,looking down at her. "What the hell,man?" Kimi muttered,rubbing her eyes tiredly.
"Sorry we had to do that," Deidara piped up behind him. "But we all have to get going." He said,pointing towards the window. Kimi turned to look out of it, seeing that they've finally landed in Karakura Town. Her blue eyes widened in surprise.
"Shit!" She cursed as she jumped from her seat,joining the others in grabbing their stuff before getting off of the plane. "Why didn't you guys wake me up sooner?" She questioned as they made their way into the airport.
"Well you weren't waking up," Deidara replied. "In case you haven't noticed,you're a heavy sleeper." Kimi gave a sheepish smile, turning her attention instead to look around the airport. The LST time she was here was six years ago, when she and her foster family were moving to Korea because her father's job placed him there.
But now,after six years,she was finally coming back. 'Welcome home.' She thought to herself with a small smile. "Kimi! Hurry up,our ride's here!" Kimi snapped out of her thoughts,seeing that everybody else was already at the entrance,waiting for her. "Coming!" She called as she started to run over. Some things never changed wth her...
-Ichigo's House-
Ichigo let out a sigh as he tossedKon aside for what felt like the hundredth time that day. He was trying to get some rest after the string of hollows from the last few Kon kept on pestering about Rukia.
"Look,I don't know where she is right now," He said in an irritated tone. "So will you stop bugging me already?"
"No! I want to see her!" Kon yelled in response, climbing back onto the bed.
"I said I don't know where she is."
"Well find her!" Kon started beating his chest again.
"Okay that's it!" Ichigo yelled,flinging Kon across the room and getting off his bed. He had enough.
"Hey where are you going?!" Kon asked,standing up from his position on the floor.
"Out." Was all Ichigo replied.
"You can't leave!" Kon yelled,but Ichigo ignored him as he walked out of his room,shutting the door behind him.
'I can't take this anymore, I need to clear my head.' He thought as he shrugged on a jacket and put on his shoes before he left his house.
-Akatsuki House/Base Thing-
"Oh I can't believe my baby cousin is back home with me," A girl with shoulder length brown hair cheered,her arms wrapped tightly around Kimi. "This is the best day ever!" Her grip tightened slightly,Kimi gasping desperately in the strong hold.
"Rei stop," She managed to cough out. "You're choking me."
"Whoops, sorry." Rei said sheepishly,releasing her grip. "I just missed you so much."
"Aw Rei,you do have a heart." Kimi cooed,smirking. Rei punched her shoulder in response. "Oh hush." She said.
"No,I don't think I will."
"Why you little-" Kimi managed to jump out of the way as Rei lunged ro her."Too slow!" Kimi cheered. Rei's sky blue eyes narrowed in determination as she prepared to lunge at her again when another voice suddenly called out.
"What are you two doing?" Both Kimi and Rei looked up to see another girl standing at the door with bright magenta-colored hair that stopped around her rear.
"Nothing."
"Rei started it!" They said in unison, straightrning themselves.
The girl at the door simply shook her head. "I swear can't the two of you stop messing around for once?" She sighed,exasperated."you two fight every time you see each other."
"Well can you really blame us Maki? We haven't seen each other in forever." Rei pointed out. Maki let out a sigh,shaking her head.
"I know,just stop making so much noise." She said.
"Roger that." Rei said,saluting. Kimi merely shook her head at her cousin. 'How are we related again?' She thought to herself.
"So Kimi," Fri started to say,gaining her attention. "Do you mind sharing the room? I mean,it's a bit cramped here." Mimi's blue eyes scanned the said room. It was true,the room was rather small,especially for four girls,but her room back in Korea always felt so huge because she had it to herself. If anything,this was a great change.
"No,I don't mind." She replied with a small smile. "Speaking of the room,where am I going to sleep?" She asked,looking around. There were only three beds in the room.
"Right here." Maki responded,patting the bed nearest to the door. "But Maki,isn't that your bed?" Rei asked. Maki only shrugged in response. "Not anymore."
"Oh Maki,you don't have to do that." Kimi said. "I can sleep on the floor or something."
"I know," Maki replied."But you could use it more than me."
"No I don't."
"You are not changing my mind on this matter, sleep here,and that's final." Maki ordered.
"Um..Yes ma'am." Kimi muttered, Maki always had a hard head.
"So where are you sleeping then?" Rei asked.
"The closet has enough room for me,I don't need much space." Maki responded.
"You sure? You can always take my bed." Rei pointed out.
"I'm sure,Rei." Maki sighed. "We're done with this topic."
"Okay then."
Kimi let out a sigh as she shook her head. "Hey Kimi,why don't you take a walk?" Rei suggested. "You know,to get to see the town again."
"I'm fine,I should probably unpack my boxes." Kimi replied.
"Oh we can handle that for you,don't worry." Rei stated,waving her hand nonchalantly.
"Are you sure?" She asked,
"Yes! Now go." Rei replied,pushing her towards the door. "Everything will be done when you get back."
"Okay." Kimi sighed as the door closed behind her. 'I guess I'm taking a walk now.' She thought as she began walking down the stairs in the nearly empty house. Everyone else was out and about,but she had wanted to stay behind to get reacquainted with Rei.
She put on her shoes before she left,closing the door behind her.
-Ichigo-
'God damn it,is it too much to ask for some peace around here?' Ichigo thought to himself,sighing in frustration. He deserved a break after the last few days,but apparently he was going to get one any time soon.
He shook his head and focused on the path he was walking on. This was the only peaceful moment he's had in a while,so he might as well cherish it before it ended. His scanned the area,suddenly stopping.
He was here again...
He was standing in front of the ,he was usually walking on the path here,but that didn't mean he still hated the thinking about it,it wasn't all that bad.
'Kimi loved it here.' He thought, his mind going back to when he and Kimi were kids. Despite being a year younger than he was, and smaller than him at that, she still managed to keep up. She was shy as a kid,so the park wasn't her most favorite place in the world. The river was secluded and not many children played around there,so it was perfect for her.
Of course after his mom died,he avoided the place at all costs for a while, but Kimi didn't seem to mind that.
'She always followed along with what I did.' He thought with a small smile. 'I wonder if she's changed since she left.'
He heard the sound of something skipping across the water, but he didn't bother to see who caused it. That is,until an unfamiliar voice suddenly spoke.
"Ichigo?"
He looked over, only to see...
-Kimi-
'Wow,everything's changed.' Kimi thought,bewildered as she walked around. 'Six years can do a lot to a place I see.'
Most of the places she remembered as a kid are either gone or completely unrecognizable. She didn't know how she felt about the sudden she did know was that it would take a while to get used to. Her eyes scanned the area she walking around in,searching.
'I should be almost there.' She thought as she saw a few old familiar places. 'Oh! There it is!' She grinned as she started making her way towards the river, stopping once she reached the edge. 'Wow,nothing's changed.'
That was great. At least she had one place she could come to that hasn't gone through a dramatic smiled softly,walking along the edge of the river like she used to do as a child.
With Ichigo.
'Right,I need to visit him soon.' She thought.'He's probably been waiting.' But that she would probably do tomorrow,she still doesn't completely remember the way around Karakura Town,so she'd need Rei's or someone else's help for that.
Her blue eyes scanned the ground,eventually landing on a rock.'Perfect.' She thought, bending down to pick it up. She hadn't skipped stones across the water in years. 'I hope I remember how to do this.' She thought wearily,positioning herself.
'Okay,hold it steady,try not to move,and flick your wrist.' She thought,following the steps,watching the rock skip across the water. 'Yep,I've still got it.' She thought with a and Ichigo used to skip stones across the water all the time as it was more like he watched her skip the stones but oh well,it was their favorite pass time.
She look around,trying to find another rock,but her eyes landed on another person instead. 'Oh.' Kimi thought,she hadn't seen him here when she was coming down. 'Wait a minute.' She looked at the person again.
'I know that orange hair.' She walked closer,he didn't seem to notice her.
"Ichigo?" She questioned. He turned to look at her,now she had his attention.
-Ichigo-
...A girl. He turned to see a girl looking up at him. 'Who is she?' He asked himself. He hadn't seen her around before, but she seemed to know who he was.
Then it him him. 'Wait,' He thought. 'I know those eyes.'
"Kimi?" He asked. Her lips formed a large smile, a smile he hadn't seen in years. A grin formed on his own face as she practically jumped on him,her arms wrapping tightly around his neck. The hug caught him by surprise,but he regained his footing and wrapped his arms around her smaller frame.
Six years had gone by,and she was finally back...
And here we are at the end of the chapter! So sorry that this one came a bit later than I wanted it too,but school is preparing for finals and I've been getting loads of homework and projects _ But I hope you can forgive me.
