Although I had just walked into the guild, I could already see that Levy had been staring intently at the request board for a long time. Like...A real long time. As though see was looking for something in particular. Then, I realized I'd been watching her, instead of listening to the dragon slayer in front of me. I tried hard to listen but couldn't focus. Now, of all times, Levy was in the back of my mind.
"Were you even listening to me!?",Natsu yelled.
"Of course I was!" I hurried to answer.
"No you weren't~!" Said that annoying hairball with wings,Happy.
Well, of course I wasn't but the whole guild doesn't have to know!
"Natsu, you were talking about...a job?"
"No~ Lucy~ we were talking about you picking a job for us~" Said Happy.
"Yeah, that's what I said!" I yelled at the grinning cat. I wasn't even listening to this conversion. " How about I just go pick one now?" I went over to the request board.
"Hi Lucy!" Greeted Levy. She didn't even look up at me.
"Hey, Levy, looking for a job?" What a stupid question.
"Yeah, there was a job here earlier that I don't see anymore...*sigh*...Guess someone took it."
"It wouldn't be the one in Made up Town, would it?" Asked the Master.
"I think so...Yes...?" She answered.
"The Rinji already took that one and are on there way."
"Figures...I swear I only hesitated for a moment..."
