Home Sweet Home

I do not own Being Human U.K. in any way.

Mitchell entered the library and walked up to the desk.

"She's over there", the woman said, "I tried getting her to leave, but she won't. I didn't know who else to call".

"I'll talk to her", Mitchell told her, "Thank you". Mitchell made his way back to her normal spot. He found her hunched over her journal, furiously scribbling in it. "Hey you", he said sitting next to her.

She didn't answer.

"It's gettin' pretty late. You should be getting home", Mitchell told her.

"Why? It's not like they'd notice", Felicity said.

Mitchell was quiet for a moment. "Things are that bad at home, huh?" he asked her.

"It's like I don't exist anymore. At least I know how Annie feels", she said, "Some days I just want to run away".

"Do you know what would happen to you if you ran away?" Mitchell asked, "It's not smart".

"What would you have me do, Mitchell? Stay in that hellhole?" she snapped.

"Move in with me", he said.

"Excuse me?" she asked him.

"Filly, the world is a dangerous place. George, Annie, me, we're examples. I don't want to see something bad happen to you", he told her.

Felicity looked into his brown eyes. She could tell he truly cared about her.

"Now come on. Let's get you home", he said softly. He helped her to pack her stuff up and grabbed her bag. He shrugged off his jacket and draped it across her shoulders. "Did you want to call a cab?" he asked her.

"I'll just walk", she told him.

They walked for about an hour, until they came to a hideously pink building.

"Umm…this isn't home", Felicity told him.

"It is now", he said opening the door.

They went inside.

Felicity saw a man and a woman sitting on the couch.

"Guys, this is Felicity", Mitchell said, "She's going to be staying with us".

"You must be George and Annie. Mitchell's told me all about you", Felicity said.

"Wait, you can see her?" George asked her.

"Yeah. Filly's a witch", Mitchell said, like it was the most normal thing in the world.

"Well, I'm technically a Wiccan, but I was born with the ability to talk and see ghosts", Felicity said.

"So how long is she staying?" George asked.

"Umm…" Felicity said. She looked to Mitchell for help.

"Forever", he said smiling at her.

The place was starting to feel like home already.
