Okay well now that it's summer break, I have tons of time to keep writing… And I've noticed that Devil Survivor stories are getting more popular now that the anime is out. I'm glad a lot of people stay updated with the new animes! Honestly I wish the series would be longer… but they are making a remake of the game… so I can't complain. Anyway enjoy!

-Alcor's P.O.V-

I attempted to persuade Shining One's friend, Daichi Shijima, that she was unharmed. However he persistently questioned me about her welfare no matter what I said. He gave me a look of malice, and continued to bombard me with questions about Shining One's welfare.

"I want to assure you that she is doing fine…. No harm has come to her…" Daichi gave me a look of doubt. He crossed his arms; his body language showing great distaste in my presence near Shining One. Finally he sighed and turned around, but he didn't depart yet; his face showed he was pondering if he should leave or continue to stand there in the door way and wait.

"Fine… Just pass a message on for me will ya? If she's alright tell her to call me." After these words he walked down the street and out of sight. I stepped away from the door and closed it tight. When Daichi was asking about Shining One's welfare, I felt a strange sensation inside of my chest. My chest feels tight, and I can't help but feel upset when Shining One is with other males….

Calmly, I walk inside and investigate her living room. It was decorated with an honest heart, not too many decorations to make the room look busy… There were 2 couches, an end table with a blue lamp, and a coffee table in the middle all facing a wall with a T.V hung on it. I noticed there was a basket underneath the coffee table with some sort of novel in it.

'Has the Shining One been reading this recently…? There's a bookmark inside of the book showing that she had done some reading recently. The book's title was Romance in Japan… Strange title for a book… isn't it? I began to read where she left off, and its contents were something like this:

As he returned from his recent business trip, Tomoe began to think of his wife more and more. Wanting to return home to her soon, he fidgets in his seat as the train continues to glide through the air. "She must be so lonely waiting for me…" Tomoe mumble to himself. He stared outside as the train was passing a field of blooming Sakura trees. Pink petals filled the field and made it look as it was snowing sakura petals.

His train eventually reached Tokyo station and there at the entrance his wife stood there. "Oh I missed you! Welcome home dear!" Aoi hugged him as tight as she could, wanting to make sure that it wasn't a dream. "I missed you too, Aoi. I hope you weren't too lonely without me…" He said sarcastically as he hugged her back. Hand in hand, they walked out of the train station. They walked for miles talking about their days apart, how life went on while the other wasn't there. Eventually time caught up with them and soon it was night. Only half way home they stopped in a love hotel for the night.

"A-Are you sure it is a good idea to stay here for the night Tomoe…?" Aoi blushed and hesitated as she spoke, getting ready for what is to come…-

"HEY! You can't read that Alcor! It'll ruin your innocence!" Before I could continue reading, Shining One took the book from my hands. Her face was flushed with embarrassment, and all I could do was wonder why she had taken it from me. She quickly hurried off to her room and hid the book, most likely in a location I'll be unable to find it.

"S-Shouldn't you be going back…? You know, to check on the worlds 'Mr. Administrator'…?" She mocked. I didn't need to go back, since I had made a copy of myself, to be together with the people I call my "friends". Yet, that wasn't the whole reason; I believe it was because I wanted to be with her… But I couldn't explain these strange emotions going on inside my head. Is this what they mean by "being human"?

"I have no reason to go back Shining One. I told you didn't I? I made a copy of myself that will watch the world while I stay here. Even though we are one in the same and can see from each other's perspectives, we are very different beings…" When she heard my explanation she laughed, her ebony hair covering her face.

-M/C Hiro P.O.V-

"What so you're going to stay here for the night?" I kept laughing after Alcor said that he made a "copy" of himself. There's no way he could do that, yet he is a Septentrione so maybe he does have that ability…? It seemed sort of funny when I played it out in my mind, but that doesn't mean it wasn't the truth. For all I know he could be extremely serious and I might have hurt his feelings. Instead he eagerly nodded and had a slight smile on his face like he always had.

"Fine… I guess you can sleep on the couch for the night… I still have to figure out how to fix the kitchen…" I sighed and walked off to my room. I wonder how I'm going to explain this damage to my Aunt when she gets back. She'll be furious if I don't do something about it when she comes home… if she ever does. I walked down the hall and opened the storage room. I shifted through some old boxes and found a pillow and blanket. I looked at the pillow to make sure it wasn't dirty… however it looked like it was brand new, as did the blanket. So I picked them up and took them outside and found Alcor was sitting quietly on the couch. He stared in my direction and gave me his famous mysterious smile… I guess other than Alcor in my apartment…. Everything is back to the way it used to be. "Ah, I almost forgot… Daichi… came and said he wanted you to call him…." Oddly enough, I noticed a bit of jealousy in Alcor's tone. "Ah…. Really…? O-okay…. I'll call him in a bit… I'll set up a place for you to sleep first…" Alcor stared at me in wonder and then noticed that he should walk out of the way. I handed him the pillow as I started spreading the blanket on the couch. Alcor started squishing the pillow and watched it return to its original shape. After I was finished I tried to grab the pillow from his hands, but he reluctantly held onto it. I sighed and went to grab another pillow as he played with the one he had. "I guess you're going to use two pillows…" I went into my room and grabbed the softest pillow I had and set it on the end of the couch.

"Alcor…" No response.

"Alcor." Still no response….

"ALCOR!" He jumped and looked me right in the eyes. "Is something wrong Shining One?" I stared at him, and then pointed at the couch. "It's done. You can get some sleep now…" I yawned and decided that I would call Daichi in the morning. "Ah I see… Perhaps would you like something to eat before you go to sleep…? I've wanted to understand humans more… so I thought I should start with how they cook…" I laughed and casually accepted his offer. "Sure. In the meantime I think I'll take a shower…" He nodded and floated to the kitchen… Typical Alcor… I went into my room and grabbed a change of clothes, and then I walked into my bathroom. I put my clothes down and looked into the mirror. For a minute, the reflection wasn't mine… but it was of a man's who looked exactly like me. When I moved, the reflection moved, but then the mirror fogged up and the reflection wrote the words:

"What you know is a lie."

I rubbed my eyes and when I looked at the mirror everything was back to normal. The mirror wasn't fogged, and the only thing in the mirror was my reflection staring back at me. "I-I must be tired… I mean… after all I've been through…" I undressed and walked into the shower, and I turned the water on. Cold water fell on my head, causing me to bolt away from it. As I waited for the water to warm up I stood there and stared at my reflection, feeling uneasy about my appearance… As the mirror fogged up I could only stare at my reflection until the shock from the hot water brought me back to my senses. 'Just what am I doing…? I can't be spacing out like this…' Just listening to the water running down the walls and my skin kept me on edge. It's just… Something didn't seem right...

Demons are supposed to be banished from our world yet… They appeared in my kitchen, and one of them even escaped saying that he was going to report to his master… Just who could that be…? It couldn't have been Polaris, since we defeated him and replaced him with Alcor…. I walked out of the shower, deep in thought, trying to figure out this situation… "Could it have been only a coincidence…?" No. There are no such thing as coincidences… in the back of my mind those words echoed constantly waiting to be heard. I put the towel on top of my head and started drying my hair as I put my clothes on. My wet hair went down to my shoulders and didn't look curly at all, but I knew that after it dried it would be curly and fluffy again.

"Shining One…? Are you finished?" Alcor suddenly knocked on the door which made me jump. "Y-Yeah! I'll be out in a minute…" I looked back cautiously at the mirror again hoping I wouldn't see that weird reflection again. Nothing happened, so I shrugged it off and walked out of the bathroom and Alcor immediately popped his head in like a small puppy. He gave me a slight smile and immediately moved out of the way and waited for me to start walking ahead of him. "So… What'd you make?" I looked back with a curious smile and he put one finger over his lip. "It is a secret!" I actually found it pretty cute that he could make that kind of expression, and it made me even more curious to find out what he had made.

"Um… Alcor… you… You didn't burn anything…. Did you…?" When I walked into the kitchen all I saw was this black clump on a plate. I looked back at Alcor with sweat dripping from my brow. "No… I don't believe I did…." He started biting on his thumb in deep thought. I stared at the black clump and then I stared back at him, honestly I'm not that surprised yet… I'm actually scared. "U-Um… s-so what did you m-make….?" I hesitated when I asked him but all he did was smile. "I made you 'Spaghetti' I believe it's called…?" T-This… This b-black clump is supposed to be spaghetti….? I'm literally fearing for my life, and honestly I don't know what to say… I took the fork and tried to stab it into the black clump, but it literally broke the fork. "U-Um… did you… possibly….overcook it….?" Alcor gave me a confused look, and it looked like he wasn't very sure himself. "Honestly… I'm not very sure. I followed the instructions on the metal cylinder…" I put my hand on my cheek and sighed. He tried to cook it from a can, tried to follow the directions, and yet he still was unsuccessful… I guess I could give him credit for that, but I think it's time someone properly taught him how to cook.

"Alcor wait right here." I walked into the small supply room and grabbed dried pasta and a premade spaghetti sauce, and as I walked out I put my hair to into a ponytail and closed the door behind me. "…? What are you doing Shining One…?" Alcor stared at me as I opened the cabinets and pulled out two pots, and opened the refrigerator and pulled out a tomato, four mushrooms, and premade meatballs. "Alcor, I'm going to teach you to cook human food." I threw him an apron and winked, and he only stood there in amazement. I brought out the cutting board and put the tomato on top of it and placed a cutting knife next to it. "Shining One…?" Alcor floated behind me as I walked over and filled one of the pots with water. "I thought you were a really good cook before Alcor! What happened?" I looked behind me and held up the pot full of water. Alcor looked confused and then he chuckled when he remembered. "Ah, that wasn't me. I took all of that food from the JPs Rations."

"Whaaaaaaaaat?! You took precious food supplies back then!?" I lit the fire and started boiling the dried pasta. I opened the can of spaghetti sauce and poured it into the pan and started cooking that as well. "Really…? I thought it was an appropriate amount…" Alcor seemed a bit disappointed at his mistake but he eventually shrugged it off. "That past incident is irrelevant now." He picked up the knife and sliced the tomato in half, but he held the knife in a harmful way. "Alcor! Don't hold it this way. Here… Hold it like this." I repositioned the knife in his hands and showed him how to properly hold it. I watched him try and I would always have to come in and correct him or teach him about how to correctly cut the ingredients. Eventually he finally cooked all the food correctly and the spaghetti didn't turn into a giant black clump again.

"Thanks for the meal!" I picked up my chopsticks and started digging in. I felt a little guilty about not eating Alcor's first attempt at cooking, but I feared for my health. Alcor examined the food in his chopsticks and when he took the first bite his face lit up in pleasure. He immediately started eating huge bites and almost chocked twice.

"A-Alcor! Y-You have to eat slowly…" I walked over and patted Alcor on his back. I leaned over and looked at his face to see he was… faking it. He looked at me with a smile and immediately kissed me. "…?! A-Alcor?!" I fell over on the ground and covered my mouth…. Did he … really just kiss me!? "Shining One? What's the matter? I thought that was humanity's way of showing gratitude…?" I paused for a moment and instantly I knew who was behind this mess. "I'm just going to make a wild guess but did Daichi tell you that…?" Alcor nodded and tilted his head. "Yes he did. How did you know…?" I sighed and returned to my seat. "You see Alcor, kissing isn't usually a way of showing gratitude… It's…. It's a way of showing affection."

"Affection? Such as friendly interactions or favoritism…?" Alcor looked completely clueless now and I could only laugh.

"No… Affection as in… You have special feelings for a person of the opposite… or the same sex…" Alcor seemed to understand and realized his actions. "I… I see… I'm sorry Shining One… I did not mean to offend you in any way…" I rubbed my forehead while trying to hide my flustered face. "It's fine…really…" He floated over to me and stared at me for a while, like he was analyzing me. "Shining one… what emotion are you feeling at this current moment in time…?" I paused before I answered… "I guess you could say I'm flustered… confused… and…" Alcor nodded and was now leaning over and looking at me in the face. Suddenly chills went down my spine when I heard a chilling laughter in my head. 'All of that hard work will be for nothing… Mwahahaha… You're pitiful little world will end soon… just you wait little Miss Hero…"

Well that was a cheesy way to end this chapter! XD But yeah I'm sorry it's taking so long! I've been stacked with homework and trying to find a driver's Ed class… Well anyway, I hope you've enjoyed the chapter and I'll try to get the next update as soon as I'm able to!

Hiro: Don't forget to review!

Alcor: Shining One…? Are you happy?

Hiro: Maybe? I'm glad she got the newest chapter out… so yeah I guess I am happy!
