The death room was a packed house as Ichigo and the others walked in.
Tatsuki,Orihime,Urahara,and Yoruichi were all talking to Lord Death, while Spirit sat and ogled at all the pretty women in the room. Black star and Tsubaki were standing there talking to a trio of two cute girls and a kid with three stripes in his otherwise perfectly symmetrical hair with a mafioso style suit on.
"Well, you ready for your first mission?" Maka asked Ichigo through a smile.
The girl was really pretty, even though Ichigo thought she dressed kinda odd...hell all the unique stuff about her might have made her even better looking.
He couldnt get why this girl was still talking to him after he was such an asshole to her.
"Yeah, it'll be cool." Ichigo said with a small smile.
He decided he was gonna be alot nicer to this girl... well, not really...
"YOU!" Spirit yelled at the top of his lungs as he charged Ichigo.
This earned him a trip by Maka and a foot on top of the face by Ichigo.
"What?" Ichigo asked the man, exasperated already from Spirits antics
A muffled "I WONT ALLOW YOU TO TAKE MY SWEET MAKAS INNOCENCE!" Boomed from underneath his shoe.
"SHUT UP PAPA ICHIGO AND I ARENT EVEN DATING! WE'RE BARELY EVEN FREINDS! JUST ASSOCIATES FROM SCHOOL!" Maka screamed at her father through a slight blush.
'Wow...why does that hurt, she's right we did just meet... But why do I feel like I just got beat up?" Ichigo thought as he turned his head to the side and stepped off Spirits face.
Spirit then jumped up and poked a finger in Ichigos face like a four year old.
"HA! My beautiful daughter Maka knows she's too good for you! You might as well quit while you're ahead carrot top!"
"Yupp, I guess I should... ONCE YOU STOP STARING AT ORIHIME LIKE A CREEPY OLD PERV!"
"OH SHUT THE HELL UP SHE'S 18!" Spirit yelled back angrily
"Dude...she's 16..." Ichigo replied.
"..." Spirit only sat there with a blank look on his face.
"Goddamit papa..." Maka said, pinching the bridge of her nose with pure frustration.
Ichigo gave her a pat on the back and walked ahead.
"Let's just see what this whole mission things about then we can go." He whispered.
"Yeah, I guess..." Maka said.
In truth she wanted to spend more time with Ichigo, the guy just fascinated her. He could be a complete douche one minute, then a nice guy the next.
As Ichigo and Maka walked over to the little group they both facefaulted.
From what they could see, Shiro was getting beat down by a screaming Liz yelling "FUCKIN PERVERTED ALBINO GHOST!" while Kid cried a sea of tears over Liz "Destroying the beauty!" that was Shiros shihakusho and Shiro yelling "THIS IS THE WORST DAY OF MY LIFE!". As they turned they saw Black star being restrained by Tsubaki as he yelled at Ichigo that he wanted "Round two!". Then he saw Kisuke,Lord death,Tatsuki,and Orihime having a nice chat over the school,and finally Yoruichi hugging a cat with a witch hat on calling it her cousin. And of course Patti was away from it all playing with a stuffed giraffe.
They both didn't know if they could take much more of this.
"Ahhh! Hello Ichigo,Maka! We can finally let the meeting begin!" Lord Death cheered
"Where we're you two?" Soul whispered to Maka.
"We got held up by papa while everyone else was arguing...nothin special." Make said with a red hot blush.
"Heh...yeah that's why you're blushing?" Soul said with a Cheshire grin.
"I do not like him Soul... In fact I don't even see how you can assume something like that!" She whispered harshly.
"I don't know, I just know you, I can feel what you feel Maka, and you're light as a feather around the guy."Soul replied.
Maka just fell silent as her partner giggled like a school boy.
"Now, as the first order of business! I would like to introduce two new instructors to you all..."
'Oh no...' Ichigo thought.
"Ms. Yoruichi, the combat strategy teacher..."
'Ok, I can handle her... but please not...'
"And , our new homeroom teacher!" Lord Death said excitedly.
"Please... No..." Ichigo mumbled uselessly as he slid to the floor.
"Oh don't be such a pussy Kingy." Shiro whispered as Ichigo glared a hole straight through him.
"Says the guy that got tortured,beat up,and chopped in the head today..."
"NOW! On to the mission!" Lord Death said as the group quickly quieted down.
"We have been tracking the Kission egg known as Charles Manson for some time now in the Hollywood hills and would like Ichigo,Black star,Death the kid, and Maka to investigate..." Lord Death said in a business like tone.
Shiro and Liz were nose to nose glaring at each other,as they both yelled.
"Not with that freak!" In unison.
"REAPER CHOP!" Lord Death yelled as the two wlited to the floor.
"NOW IS EVERYTHING IN ORDER?" He yelled happily as everyone nodded.
"Ok now you all have fun." He said as he sent them all on their way.
"See you in class tommorow Ichigo!" Urahara yelled as they left.
"FUCK YOU!" Ichigo yelled back as he walked out the door.
"Hmm... I wonder if he's mad about something..." Urahara said to himself.
With The Meisters.
"Alright so how are we gonna get to California from here?" Ichigo asked
"We take a plane..." Soul said matter of factly.
"Yeah we get on free since we're on a mission!" Patti giggled happily as she began to make airplane noises.
"Yeah, shoulda been paying attention strawberry..." Black star said through a smirk.
"Black star..." Tsubaki scolded.
"Whatever, you're just pissed that I kicked your ass!" Ichigo fired back angrily.
"YEAH!" Shiro yelled as he hopped behind Ichigo.
"MAKA..." Maka started.
Ichigo and Black star looked back in fear.
"CHOP!"
The two meisters fell to the ground as Zangetsu picked the two dazed teens up they mumbled "Blue haired homo" and "Cheese head" at each other respectively as they passed out.
It was gonna be a long plane ride...
With the Teachers
"Ok...so what are these"special talents" you guys have been talking about?" Tatsuki asked incredulously
"Easy..."Lord Death started
"You're a weapon meister!" Kisuke said happily.
"No way...whos my weapon?" Tatsuki asked shocked
"Do you even need to ask?" Kisuke asked again.
"...Orihime..."
"You two concentrate now..." Lord Death said.
"How?" Orihime asked
"Trust me,it'll happen naturally...now just close your eyes and focus." Spirit said
As Orihime shut her eyes and focus she felt the world melt away. She felt completely in sync with Tatsuki. She could hear her every thought and feel her every move, as if they were the same person.
"What..." Orihime started.
"Orihime,you're amazing..." Tatsuki said amazed at what she could do.
Tatsuki was finally able to help.
She was no longer helpless, for once she finally felt like she had control over things.
And it felt amazing.
With the Meisters
'The plane crashed...' Ichigo thought
'Of all the the things to happen on their first mission, the plane crashed!'
'Now me and Maka have no idea where we are in the middle of the California woods wondering where the hell the rest of our group is!'
'Things couldn't get much worse...' Ichigo mused as the two wondered aimlessly
"Maka...we're lost." Ichigo said annoyed as he walked alongside said girl in the middle of the woods.
"Shut up...I know what I'm doing." Make said as they walked around looking for an exit.
"NO YOU DONT!" Ichigo yelled.
"YEAH I DO!" Maka yelled back.
The two then gave each other the cold shoulder until they heard a noise.
"What was that?" Ichigo asked, not being able to feel any spiritual pressure.
"I don't know..." Maka replied
"Ok...it's getting dark, lets keep on this trail for another mile then we'll set camp." Ichigo said
"Sounds good." Maka said curtly as they walked off into the distance.
Not knowing that a certain someone was following them.
