Ichigo and Maka finally set up camp after a mile and a half on the trail they set on.
"Ok I'll keep watch." Ichigo commanded as he stood up from the small log he was sitting on.
"No, it's ok really! I'm used to staying up anyway!" Maka replied.
Being too tired to argue Ichigo just nodded and laid down on the dirt knowing that he would have to face his dreams again sooner or later.
As Ichigo began to drift to sleep Maka scooted a little closer to Ichigo.
'Wow...he's so cute when he sleeps...he s not even glaring...STOP IT MAKA THATS SOOO CREEPY!" Maka thought as she stared into the darkness of the forest.
'Ya know its funny. I always thought I would wind up with Soul. I don't know why I mean, he was always felt more like an annoying younger brother then anything else, but I guess I just thought that was how it was gonna be. But then this guy just swoops in and Im head over heels... I don't get it. And why is he so angry?' Maka thought as she stared at Ichigos sleeping form.
Then she saw a change in his expression.
It went from peaceful slumber to grief stricken.
"Old man...Rukia...no." Ichigo mumbled in his sleep
'...Who's Rukia?" Maka thought.
Then she saw tears begin to fall.
Ichigo was crying.
"Please...don't leave...I love you..." He whimpered
"Why can't I protect you..."
''Oh no..." Maka whispered.
It brought her memories back from when her mom and papa first started to fight.
When her papa was kicked out or left she would always cry in her bed, clutching her favorite stuffed animal until her mom would walk in and sit by her in her bed, looking exhausted.
"Maka,sweety are you ok?" Kami asked softly.
"Mama... Why do you and papa have to fight so much? I thought you guys loved each other...you guys shouldn't fight..." Maka said softly with tears streaming down her face.
"Sweetheart... sometimes people who love each other argue, it'll be ok." Kami whispered to her crying daughter as she shed a few tears as well
"Maka I have an idea to help you go to sleep."
"What mama?" Maka asked.
"I'll sing to ya of course!" Kami grinned at her confused daughter.
"Mama...are you sure?" Maka asked
After all her mother wasn't exactly known for her voice.
"Yupp." She said happily as she coed Maka to sleep.
'Hopefully this'll help...'
Maka took Ichigos hand closed her eyes and started to sing from her heart

As Maka sang Ichigos dream began to change.
The battlefield began to fade away to show Rukia dressed in a beautiful white gown with a small smile etched on her face.
"Hey." Rukia said shyly
"Uh...hey." Ichigo replied, tears streaming from his face.
On the day that you were born, the angels got together,
And decided to create a dream come true
So they sprinkled moon dust in your hair
And golden starlight in your eyes so blue.
Rukia then walked up to Ichigo and wiped the tears from his cheek.
"You know I love you right?" Rukia asked
"Yeah..." Ichigo whispered through tears.
"Then please Ichigo...let go."
"Rukia...I don't know if I can." Ichigo whimpered.
"Ichigo, no matter what I'll always be beside you. You gave my life meaning... But there are other people who love you, others who care about you..." Rukia explained holding her best freind for what would be the last time.
"Rukia...please don't go." Ichigo cried into Rukias shoulder
"Shhh...stupid strawberry don't cry, you never cry." Rukia said in a calming voice. Shedding a few of her own tears
That is why all the girls in town,

Rukia then looked at Ichigo deep in the eyes.
"Ichigo, I have to go now..." She whispered.
"Please go... Live your life, if not for you then... For me." She then kissed Ichigo softly on the cheek and dissappeared, leaving Ichigo alone.
He then smiled and looked up into the bright sky That was Rukias new home.
"I will Rukia"
He then turned and walked away,
finally ready to let go.
