Shaking things up a bit. Kinda a little TLC I felt like a moon Titan-es would be able to provide. I think I tried my best with it, and it went where it went.
Mentions of lesbian-ness, or fem-slash, whatever you wanna call it.
Not mine, though mistakes are.
She listened as the young girl below pours her heart out to the moon.
"I was in love once Selene. I loved her with all of my heart." Says the small girl. Selene thinks of how young she is, only fourteen, and silently wonders how this young thing can already have been subjected to the cruelty of Aphrodite's gifts.
"She left Selene. It wasn't one of those; one day she's here the next she's gone. No, she left gradually. She shut me out and whenever she tried to let me back in again, she wasn't the girl I loved. She wasn't my lovely." Tears trickle down the girl's face.
Selene turns and whispers to her companions, the stars.
"For this girl, we shall always burn bright. Even if there are the clouds of Zeus' greatest storm above her, she will have our light to guide her. Forever." And soon the goddess gives the sky away to her brother, allowing a new day to start.
...
The night comes again quickly. And once more, Selene is subjected to hearing the heartbreak of this young and sad girl.
"I saw her today Selene. She didn't see me, but I saw her. I nearly had a panic attack. It was almost funny, I've been waiting for it to happen and when it does I can't be more glad that she doesn't see me. It's true Selene, she's changed. But here's another thing, she may not be the girl I fell for, but I don't think I'm still the girl that fell for her either. Help me Selene, I need to know who I am. Please, I could really use it." The girl shakes her head in dismay as the goddess descends on the horizon. The goddess promising herself she wouldn't let said girl down. She couldn't and she wouldn't.
...
"Thank you Selene, for I know it was you that finally gave him that extra push. Thank you for giving me the courage to say yes as well. Thank you for giving me him. I know you heard me. I know you care. So thank you Selene, for setting my mind to rest. For allowing me a real chance at something. Something more." The girl looks up at the moon teary eyed.
"See you tomorrow Selene."
And so the moon goddess watches the young girl go, knowing that sometimes, the moon is the only one that understands.
AN hope you liked. Reviews are love, smiles, and whatever the heck it is that keeps me fueled. (Though that certainly isn't all rainbows and unicorns)
