"Kaiba, I'd like to kiss you again."

As much as he didn't want it to happen, Kaiba felt the blood rushing to his cheeks. Kaiba was sitting at his desk, and Jounochi was sitting behind him at the foot of his bed. Kaiba spun around in his chair and looked at him. Jounochi was staring back at him intently, his ripped black jeans a stark contrast to the almost-white shade of blue of Kaiba's comforter. Kaiba cleared his throat.

"Jounochi, don't be ridiculous. I've already told you that there's no way that it's going to work between us. We hate each other remember?"

Jounochi stood up and took a step toward Kaiba.

"Oh, come on, Kaiba!" he groaned. "You know that's not true. Don't be a prude."

Kaiba scoffed. "I'm not a prude; I'm just not an idiot that lets my feelings get in the way of facts. You'd be wise to do the same." He moved to turn his chair back around, but Jounochi grabbed his arm. Kaiba narrowed his eyes.

Before he could react, Jounochi was kissing him, roughly, intensely. Kaiba's arms made their way around Jounochi's shoulders, and he was kissing back as enthusiastically as he could because he sure as hell had no clue what he was doing.

Jounochi, however, knew exactly what he was doing and he was doing it extremely well. His hands made their way under Kaiba's shirt, and calloused fingertips were tracing a trail down his spine, leaving electric sparks in their wake. His lips were on Kaiba's neck now, and Kaiba was gasping, his fingernails digging into the fabric of Jounochi's faded t-shirt.

Jounochi's hand slid down to the band of Kaiba's slacks and Kaiba sucked in a breath. Jounochi pressed his lips against Kaiba's ear.

"Nii-sama," Jounochi whispered. Kaiba frowned.

"Niiiii-samaaaa," Jounochi whispered again. His voice sounded exactly like Mokuba's.

Kaiba groaned and forced his eyes open. Mokuba was standing over him, a hand on his shoulder.

"Oh, Nii-sama, you're awake! Jounochi is downstairs. It's time for piano, you know. You slept in really late!" Mokuba sat down on Kaiba's bed next to him and frowned. "Are you okay? You look like you've got a fever. Your skin is all flushed."

Kaiba pulled his comforter over his head. "I'm fine. I'll be down in a minute."

"Okay," Mokuba replied. He left the room, shutting the door behind him.

Kaiba sighed, a blush creeping to his cheeks. He had been dreaming again. It had been a week since The Kiss, and every day since then, Kaiba had been dreaming about kissing the stupid mutt more than he would care to admit even to himself.

He threw his blankets off of himself and sat up. If he was going to settle this thing it was better that he did it sooner rather than later.

Jounochi sat on the couch in the sitting room, waiting. Mokuba said that Kaiba would be down in a minute, but that felt like hours ago. He wondered if Kaiba was dragging his feet so that they wouldn't have to face each other. He sucked his teeth, regretting his decision not to do the same. Yugi had told him that it would be better for them to just talk about it face to face rather than just pretending that nothing had happened, and right now he was hoping that he was right.

"I'm sorry for being so late, I guess I slept in."

Jounochi looked up to see Kaiba standing over him, bleary eyed. His hair was tousled, and he was wearing a slightly too small, faded blue eyes t-shirt and a pair of saggy sweatpants that probably cost more than Jounochi could ever hope to make in a year. Jounochi stared.

Kaiba shoved his hands in his pockets and continued talking. "You'll have to forgive my appearance. I don't mean to be so disheveled, but I felt that I had kept you waiting long enough and…" Kaiba trailed off. "Is there something wrong?"

"No!" Jounochi exclaimed, shaking his head. "It's just that… you just look really cute, is all."

Kaiba blushed. Jounochi slapped a hand over his face.

"Holy shit," he groaned. "Shit, that was a really, really gay thing to say…"

Kaiba looked away quickly. "It's… fine," he replied, his face growing redder. "Shall we start?"

Jounochi nodded and followed Kaiba over to the piano, taking his place next to him on the bench. He crossed his arms and looked at Kaiba, whose mind seemed to be somewhere else.

"Hey, earth to Kaiba? Let's see what you've got," Jounochi said, gesturing at the keyboard. Kaiba stared at him vacantly. Jounochi frowned.

"The song that we literally worked on for four days last week? I wanna hear how it's going! Play it!"

Kaiba frowned. "Oh, um… I haven't… practiced it…"

"What?!" Jounochi replied. "Why not?"

"I've been otherwise… preoccupied," Kaiba explained flatly. Jounochi pouted.

"Unbelievable," he grumbled under his breath.

"Actually, I haven't practiced because I've been thinking about what I wanted to say to you," Kaiba retorted. "About, you know…"

Jounochi stiffened. They were doing this sooner than he'd thought. He cleared his throat and crossed his arms again, trying to appear as nonchalant as possible.

"Oh? What did you want to say?" he asked. Kaiba exhaled and looked Jounochi in the eyes.

"Kiss me again."

Jounochi wasn't sure what to say. He blinked and cleared his throat.

"I'm sorry, I think there's something in my ears… did you just tell me to kiss you?"

Kaiba rolled his eyes. "Yes, I did. Obviously, last time you caught me by surprise so I didn't know how to respond. But this time, I'll be ready, and if I don't feel a thing, which I won't, that'll be all the proof we need that we don't have… feelings for each other and everything will go back to the way it was. Now are you going to kiss me or what?"

Jounochi frowned. "Kaiba, that doesn't make any sense. First of all, I already told you how I feel, and I really don't think my feelings have changed over the past week, even though that's a really fucking gay thing to say. Second of all, I'm not kissing you in your goddamned foyer that's weird as shit."

"It didn't stop you last time," Kaiba retorted.

"Well, that's because last time I didn't plan it, it just sort of happened!" Jounochi placed his elbows on the keyboard, drawing a cacophonous racket from the instrument. He placed his head in his hands. "Damn it, Kaiba. I just wanna know if you like me back, or not."

Kaiba looked at the ceiling and sighed. Jounochi rolled his eyes and stood up.

"Listen," he mumbled, looking at his feet. "I'm not kissing you here again. If you've got somewhere else we can test your shitty theory, then I'll do it."

Kaiba made his way up the stairs, Jounochi not far behind. His plan had seemed much better in his head, but now that it was in motion, he wasn't so sure it was as foolproof as he had made it seem. In all honesty Jounochi had been right; liking being kissed, and liking someone are two different things, but if getting this kiss over with was what he had to do to ease his mind of Jounochi, then that's what he'd do.

Kaiba stopped in front of the door to his room and gulped. He pushed the door open and led Jounochi inside. Jounochi's eyes widened and he took in the sight; a California King bed with white-blue bedding sat in the middle of the room, a large bay window sat to the right of it. A large glass desk sat in front of the window, and an iMac and a cactus sat upon the desk along with various writing utensils and books. On the farthest wall there was a large, white leather couch and a glass coffee table, which is where Kaiba stopped, and turned to Jounochi, a scowl forming on his face.

"Are you going to gape, or are you going to come over here so we can get this over with?" He could feel the blood rushing to his cheeks. Jounochi nodded.

"Sorry, it's just that your room is basically bigger than my entire house," Jounochi replied. He made his way over to the couch and stood in front of Kaiba. He scratched the back of his head. "So, uh, you wanna sit down, or…?"

Kaiba nodded and sat down. Jounochi followed suit. The two sat in silence avoiding each other's eyes for a moment before Jounochi sighed.

"Ok," he started, leaning in slightly. "Alright, I'm going to kiss you now."

Kaiba blushed deeply, looking away. "Just hurry up and do it, mutt."

Jounochi leaned closer, cupping Kaiba's face in his hand. He closed his eyes. Kaiba's heart began to race. Without thinking, his hand went up to grab onto Jounochi's. Kaiba's head was spinning, and his whole body was on fire. He could feel Jounochi's breath against his lips, warm, and soft. Then Jounochi's lips were on his, full and just slightly chapped, and Kaiba couldn't even think. He was glad that he had chosen to sit down, because his legs felt like jelly. For Kaiba at that moment, nothing existed except for him and Jounochi there in that room and he was okay with it.

Far too soon, it was over, and Jounochi was pulling away. Kaiba made a noise of protest, and Jounochi smirked at him.

"So I take it that you liked it?" Jounochi teased. Kaiba frowned.

"I was more invested in it than I hoped I would be," he replied slowly. Jounochi smiled.

"So… what, then?" He asked.

Kaiba sighed. "I would be a complete idiot to try to deny that there isn't some kind of chemistry between us. As much as I hate to say it, Jounochi, I think that I may have… feelings for you."

Jounochi beamed.

"Really? That's wild! That makes me really happy!" Jounochi leaned over and wrapped his arms around Kaiba's shoulders. Kaiba wasn't quite sure what to do with himself, but something in him felt fuzzy and warm. Jounochi was practically glowing. Seeing him that way made Kaiba feel better than he had in a long time.

Jounochi pulled away and raised his eyebrows. "So Kaiba, does this mean that I'm your first love?" He asked teasingly. Kaiba turned away, blushing.

"I wouldn't go so far as to call it love," Kaiba mumbled. "Maybe just general attraction…"

"I'll take it!" Jounochi laughed. "Your first 'general attraction'!"

Kaiba scowled. "Are you done? If you are, we can get back to playing the piano."

Jounochi grinned. "I mean, I guess I'm done. We can go back to the piano. Or…"

"Or, what?" Kaiba grumbled. Jounochi leaned in and pressed his forehead against Kaiba's.

"Or, you could let me kiss you again!" Jounochi replied.

It was quite a tough decision, but after much deliberation, Kaiba chose the latter.
