A/N: Just a reminder that these are one-shots that don't necessarily connect to one another.

Prompt: At Peace

"You know I can feel you watching me, right?" Andrea said with a smile, not turning away from the pasta she was cooking.

Sharon's soft hum vibrated through her bones and filled her body with a familiar warmth that swirled throughout her. "I'm not watching," Sharon said slowly, her tone changing slightly as she continued, a little breathier, "I'm admiring."

Andrea's teeth ran across her bottom lip, a chuckle forming in her throat. She stirred the penne into the sauce, working the pan back and forth to coat the noodles. She moved with ease in the kitchen, as she did every Saturday night. Saturday was the night she would come over to the condo and they would cook together - or Andrea would cook while Sharon admired from the stool. They had been doing it so long that Andrea couldn't remember when or how it started, but it was what she looked forward to every week.

"All right." Andrea turned the stove off and clapped her hands together. "Dinner is done."

"Would you like me to - -"

Andrea shook her head, turning around to the seated brunette. "No, no, no. You stay right where you are."

Sharon hitched her eyebrow up, but she stayed on her bar stool. "Yes, ma'am."

Andrea's heart skipped a beat or two. Sharon's eyes twinkled, the golden flecks standing out in the dazzling green. Andrea felt herself smiling as she looked into them, mesmerized by the beauty, just as she always was. Sharon's lips moved to form a gentle curve in return, and Andrea's smile grew at the sight. Sharon seemed to do the impossible, not only becoming more and more beautiful every day, but making Andrea love her more each day, even when she believed she already loved Sharon with everything she had.

She quickly served them both a plate of pasta, poured two glasses of wine, and then took her seat beside Sharon at the bar. Her knee brushed against Sharon's thigh as she sat, and a little hum met her ears. Sharon's hand instantly reached over to cup Andrea's cheek, her fingers sliding slowly before she took a firm hold and pulled Andrea towards her. Andrea went readily, unable to keep herself from smiling when the other woman was gazing at her with such fierce emotions written all over her face. To be on the other end of one of these looks, to be the person Sharon looked at with love and adoration, was something that meant so very much to Andrea.

"Thank you," Sharon said simply, leaning in to close the small space that was still between them.

Andrea did not need to ask what she was thanking her for, did not need to question what she had done. As she felt soft lips press to her own and gently kiss her, she felt the same desire to thank Sharon - thank her for being there, for loving her wholeheartedly, for giving Andrea the opportunity to share this part of her life with someone as magnificent as Sharon. Her eyes fell shut and she pulled Sharon closer with a hand on the back of her neck, answering her gentle kiss with something a little harder, something with more passion. It earned her one of those pleased hums that sent pleasure rushing through her veins.

Andrea pressed her forehead to Sharon's after their lips separated, not quite ready to lose their physical connection. Her eyes remained close, but she had a feeling that there was a smile on Sharon's lips. There was one on her own, a smile on her mouth and love in her heart.

"Dinner's going to get cold," she whispered after a few moments went by without either of them making a move to separate.

Sharon's short laugh was music to Andrea's ear. "It always does."

Andrea chuckled. "It does, doesn't it?"

She guided Sharon's mouth back to hers, letting her breath fall against Sharon's lips before she kissed her again. Dinner could easily be reheated. The chance to just be with Sharon, to kiss and show her love for the woman without the outside world getting in the way, was, after all, what she really looked forward to.
