Chapter 22

Maybe it was just a best friends romance

2 weeks later...At London's apartment 5 p.m.

Another day of being pregnant London was in her bedroom looking at her laptop bored in total silence and peace thinking about life when suddenly Zack loud voice appeared out of no where "Sup! What are you watching?"

London jumped of the fright "Dude where you came from!"

"Of the kitchen" Zack said chuckling because now days London being kind of nervous around everything. "Not funny you scare the heck out of me"

"I got you this time then...without knowing...anyway the good thing is that now we are even." Zack said as he walked over to her. "My water could have broke"

"Wait what?! Its that even possible?" Zack panic he didn't want to cause that. "I'm sorry, I swear I will never scare you again"

"Ah! I got you!" She evil smile " I was joking Zack, but hey! thanks for swearing; now you can't scare me ever again" She said feeling like a boss. Zack look at her with a serious face but rolls his eyes and walked over to her.

"Anyway what are you doing looking at your laptop in blank?"

"Nothing I was just thinking...don't know what to do with my life" She said looking at her laptop profile frustrated. "And I kept thinking and wondering about something..."

"About what? I mean, can I know?" Zack asked as he sat slowly beside her in the bed being curious about what she was going to say. "Its worthless anyway..."

"London come on you can tell me everything just blow off steam with me, you can trust me" He said looking at her kindly. "Okay, but sit closer its kinda depressing" She said pointing him to sit down beside her with a sad looking face. He did what she told him and give her all the attention she needed.

"Well its about that crazy night of mine...I'm trying to remember but I'm in total blank and I hate it and I know I should not be thinking of that is useless and whatever but...It just keep passing through my head every day and night. I keep having weird but incredible flash backs. I mean its like that night...that guy made me feel alive and...Its like if I knew him. We connected..."

"Yeah you guys definitely connected, I mean just look" He couldn't help but joke about it to her. She hit him in the shoulder hard. "Zack, I'm serious"

"Sorry, I just felt the need to say it" He little smile to her. She looked at him with a face and he in sorry kissed her cheek and she kept talking. "All I am saying its that...It was a bummer to not get his number and look were I am now. Pregnant and single. Maybe just maybe if that connection was real and felt so good and at the same time felt safe and familiar. Maybe he would be with me right now holding me and taking care of me and loving me." Her eyes were getting watery.

"When you said 'familiar' what are you talking about?" Zack asked curious. "I just felt like if I knew the guy but can't see his face..."

"You know, I hate that too. I mean, in my case I can't find the girl of my dreams and its frustrating. So yeah... I kind of know what you are passing through and I'm glad you share that with me London" Zack said as he touch her shoulder in comfort. It was weird it sounded so familiar too what she was telling to Zack and when she hugged him in a thankful way, he felt something out of no where and he didn't knew what or what was happening to him.

He had a flash back of him that night of the club.

They were laughing, whose the girl? He asked. Her face was blurred. He was having opening the door of a room and they started to laugh louder but when she took the card for him she open it easily and he smiled to her and kissed her took her by the hand and pull her to the room. They were touching each other and while he was kissing her he smelled her hair...

"Zack?...Zack?"

Snap!

He wakes up from his flash back because of his friend voice and stare at her looking like an idiot "Uhmm what?"

"Why are you smelling my hair weirdly? I mean its weird stop it" London said confused and disgust because he looked at him as a friend. He now realized what he was doing and he stand up from the bed. Zack nervously laughed about it.

"Sorry...I didn't realize what I was doing...by the way it smells really nice" He complimented her as he walked away awkwardly from the bedroom. He still didn't know what just happened. "Ok...thanks for letting me know" She chuckles as she rolls her eyes.

But then no more than 3 seconds later, he walked back again to her and asked "where are the other girls?"

"Working, and they will be here late because Maya's new boyfriend is having a party in his house. You can go if you want to, you know that right? You look like my grandpa staying only in his home and not having fun. After all life is short"

"Look who is talking the one staying in bed instead of going and party all night like we used to do before." Zack said chuckling to her and she fake laughed. "Anyway, you can go with me so you don't have to stay here alone like my grandma" Zack suggest.

"I don't think so, I mean what I will do there? I'm pregnant" London said looking at her belly and touching it. "Being pregnant London doesn't mean that you can't have fun you know that right?" Zack mini smile to her. She look at him with a face.

"But it does mean that I have to take more care of my self and be more responsible because as you can see, I'm carrying another person with me" London said with an obvious look in her face.

"Well then, you don't have nothing to do tonight right?" Zack asked a little shy about it. "What are you planning to do Zack?" She looked at him with a face. "I mean I don't want to leave you alone you know... so I was hoping you can go and spend all night with your best friend Zack... like old days remember? It will be fun"

"Where are you planning to go?" She asked interested. "Everywhere you want to go" Zack just said with a kind smile to her. "Ok, let me get dressed" Oh well that was fast. "You know you could at least think about it" He chuckles. But then remember and said"Oh and bring extra clothes"

"And that's why?" London asked confused and curious about it. "It's a surprise, you never know what could happen" He said with a smirk. She ignore that and anyway said "Ugh ok, but Zack you know I hate surprises"

They went to skate on ice in Central Park then they went to eat ice cream cause suddenly being on ice made London want something cold. When Zack bought her favorite cone of ice cream chocolate with oreos on top "Your weird London, I mean who eats ice cream after being in the cold?"

"This girl right here" She said smiling and eating her ice cream like a little girl. He chuckles and just needed to let a little smile show as he looked at her eating 3 balls of ice cream. "You are just like a child" He chuckled as he give her a friendly squeeze to her. They were having fun. After that they went to the car and just stay there looking at the other car pass. Looking to what to do next. Then after ten minutes Zack turn on the car and began to drive. After they pass the entire city of New York London felt the need to ask "Where are you taking me Zack?"

"Actually London, I don't know" He laughs. "Great" She said with a nervous look. "You poorly have gas Zack, its better if we just go back to the apartment"

"Oh come on will you stop? Lets have fun! and besides I know my car. This baby can ride all night long" He sounded so sure of himself. She roll her eyes.

Two hours later...away from the city, his car ran out of gas. "What did I told you?" London laughed in his face. He was frustrated. "Oh This baby can ride all night long" She said imitating him. "Oh will you stop mocking me. At least we are in a mini village and look not so far away its a motel"

"Ugh I hate motels, I will call the girls" She said and he sigh. "Dude really? There its no signal" She said now frustrated. "Well lets go to the motel to know if there is some signal there" He said and she follow him with her arms crossed. He laughed. He some how enjoy it when she was angry.

At the motel.

"No signal in here? Are you kidding me?!" London yelled frustrated. Mean while Zack was already buying for a night at the motel. "Thanks" He said to the old man. Zack walked over to London and showed her the keys. "Oh are those for you? Cause I'm not staying" London asked in disgust because of the dirty motel. "No this is for us. So lets go! Where is your adventurous side girl?"

"I left it on the car when it ran out of gas" London said sarcastically to him.

"Come on give it a chance. This motel can't be so bad" He said as he tried to open their motel room. London was like 'eww' all the time as they walked and she almost fainted when Zack finally get to open the door.

"Okay...So I know that it looks bad but look at the bright side there is at least a window and obviously it as to have a beautiful view waiting for us. After all its New York remember, all elegant and beautiful" Zack said as he walked to open the window with the help of London because it didn't opened as easily has it seemed and when they finally opened it all the beautiful view they hoped..."Oh Its another building that I can touch with my own nose" She said as she laugh in frustration, it didn't take long for him to join her laughter of frustration.

"Anyway where is the bed?" London asked.

"Here" He jumped on the mini bed and it went down to the floor and all the dust were up in the air. They started coughing. "Could anything else go wrong in this bed room?" and yes the typical rat of every movie ran over and hide somewhere in the room. She yelled and jumped over to Zack yelling "Kill it kill it kill it!"

"Wow you heavy girl" Zack said chuckling. She stand up and said "Thanks for the nice comment. Now kill that beast."

He stand up and it didn't take long to the little rat ran out of the window. After seen the rat running away for his life, Zack closed the window.

"Done! no one its harmed" He said.

"Zack its this the only bed?"

"Yes, why? Its not like we haven't slept together London" He chuckles and she laughed sarcastically. "Oh I love the way you said that. I almost puke" London said. "And why? Just look! I need space and you cover almost all the broken bed."

"Hey its not my fault that I get tall and handsome" Zack said with a smirk in his face. "Who said anything about handsome?"

"Oh come on you know it. Beside look at the bright side you will be sleeping with the other girls dream. You can not fight with that" He said feeling like a hot boss as he take off his shirt.

"Ok, wow man slow down" London said. "Oh you like it slow" He said as he started to get off his jeans, slow like a striper just to annoy her. He knew that she hated when he made things go awkward.

"Dude! I didn't meant that" She cover her eyes and he couldn't help himself but to hug her. She was too cute when she cover her eyes with her tinny hands. "I'm just playing with you London" he said laughing. She took off her hands from her face relief but then he said as he walked away "But get use to this beauty cause I won't sleep with clothing tonight." She looked at him with a saying face 'if you do that you are a dead man' so he quickly clear things out saying "Joking, joking it was a joke"

"At least take a shower Zack" She said as she tried to fix the bed.

After he took a shower, she took a shower. When she walked out of the bathroom he was already in bed. She thought that he was sleeping so she walked like a boss only in her panties and a white t-shirt. He opened one eye and look at her walk like that. "Damn! I didn't know pregnant girls could look like damn hot mommas" He said as he sat down in the bed with a smile. Yeah Zack still didn't know how to control his pervert feelings inside him of his teenage days. She jumped of the fright he gave her and hit him with a pillow and cover herself with the blankets. "I thought that you were sleeping damn Zack stop giving me heart attacks!"

"Hey, I just give you a complement you should be proud of that" Zack said and she roll her eyes but said "This body is called; taking care of myself. Because I don't want to look like a whale in my pregnancy period."

"Well your doing a good job my friend" He said. "Now make space, we are to close" She said and he laughed "If I make more space I will be sleeping on the floor London"

"Better" She said with a smile. He fake laughed "Don't even think about it"

"Ok. But just sleep the other way I don't want to suddenly feel something near me at night" She shivers. And he laughed "Hey that's not my fault if something like that happens. Good night London"

"Ha, Ha... Goodnight"

In the middle of the night they couldn't sleep so they started to talk in the dark about life. After fighting for who get the best side of the bed or the more spaced place they end up cuddling like two lovers in one bed. She even could hear his heart beating because her face was on his chest. They chuckle "This is weirdly nice" He laughed. "Oh Do that again there is an echo" She giggle but amazed about the echo inside of him like a little girl. Anyway there goes a fact she felt weird touching his chest but at the same time it was like she felt butterflies but she made herself think it was just hormones. "Are you serious?" He chuckle. "Wow that is so cool, its like hearing you twice and more...manly?" She said joking with him. "But yeah talking serious its cool you should try it" She said and he smirked looking at her in the dark. "Sure but that will turn for me a bad habit"

"Why?"

"Because you...you have boobs" He chuckles and blush and laughed "I totally forgot that I had boobs and that you were a man with the mind of an asshole" She said to him. "Beside I have a T-shirt and it will be on my chest not my boobs"

"Its there any difference" He laughed. She slap him on the face. "Whatever then you miss the awesome echo. And besides you are my friend, I know you won't do nothing"

"Ok. Well with your permission I hope I don't wake up a bad habit" He said in a playing tone but she ignored him and roll her eyes and he put his ear on her chest and she started to talk. "Yes, it sounds like if you were a robot" He chuckle. "Some how this is comfy like a pillow. I can sleep all night in these" He said and she hit him on the head and take it off her chest. "You ruin everything and make it all awkward Zack, you disgust me" She said and he chuckle. "Hey It was your idea, I never being that close to you its a good experience, I hope I could get this same experience with all my girls friends" He said joking but with a smirk on his face. The idea wasn't bad for him but again he knew it would never happen it was just a another man's dream. "I can not see you right now but I know that you have that dumb looking face right know..." She laughs. "Anyways lets talk about other thing that doesn't involve boobs please"

"I know! mountains? They are so many beautiful mountains in the world"

"Zack!" She hit him on the shoulder. "Ow! I was joking London" He said laughing. "You joke a lot, its hard to difference your pervert side with who you really are" London said and he said "Hurtful. Anyway London your my friend since I was a kid and that's why I make comments like that but its just to annoy you because I respect you and I hope you know that, I mean you should already know that. I would never do something out of ordinary to you " He said. "I know Zack, and I give thanks to God for that and if it wasn't for that I wouldn't let you hear my echo" They chuckle thinking about it but then she look at him with a smile even thought he couldn't see her. He touch her mouth "What are you doing?" She asked confused and he chuckle. "I just wanted to know if you were smiling now that I can't not see you" He kiss her forehead. Yeah those kisses on the forehead killed her, it was too cute for him to do.

"London I got to confess you something..." He sounded serious and her heart stopped as she asked confused "What?"

"I love to have girls has friends, the fact I get to sleep with them in the same bed its just awesome, I feel like a boss cause no everyman gets to do this"

"You stupid" She laughed. "But I agreed, you can do anything with the guy but you know that they would never pass the line never with you." London said with a smile. "I love to sleepovers with girls" He kept saying in a very relaxed and happy tone. She hit him on the arm. "The only thing I don't like is that I get kicked a lot"

"For pervert" She said to him and he kissed her cheek. Her heart once again stopped as he pulled her more closer to him with a hand till he touched her belly with his stomage. It was too close and too dark she could feel that he almost kissed her in the mouth if it wasn't for that only inch that was left to kiss her on the lips.

"This is awesome. I'm sleeping over with a women that had another human inside her...do you know when she falls asleep?" Zack asked amazed. "Maybe when I'm falling asleep...she does the same..." She yawn and fell asleep on his chest. He lay his head on her head and sigh happily. He was so happy that night and he didn't knew why.

He was hugging her when he went blank and smelled her sweet perfume that London had on that night, that had him thinking of that night that he had with the girl of his dreams. He suddenly had a flash back of him smelling that girls neck while kissing it in the dark.

"Zack...What you remember about her?" She asked in a sleepy mode still with her eyes closed. Snap flash back gone! "I was thinking about her right now" He told to himself as he chuckles. She didn't heard him.

"Well, I remember almost everything about her..."He said without looking at her in the eyes. He touch her arms.

"I remember that she was so soft, that she had the sweetest perfume that I had ever smelled or tasted, her touch and delicate hands were defined as wild love...she had beautiful dark curly hair that smelled like sweet fruits. And...her skin tone was just like the sunset." Zack said more closer than ever to his friend. He didn't realize what he was doing but he was imagining that girl of that night so much that he went blank.

He was with his eyes open but his mind back at that night. And if it wasn't because of her moving her head to the other direction he would of accidentally kissed her and this time on the lips. Good thing is that she didn't realize.

"I remember everything of her except one thing...her face. All I know is that she was just gorgeous." He finish saying now that he snap out of his flash back. He hold her hand tight and hugged her and they both fell asleep.

"I really need to find her" Zack said. "I just, I know this sounds crazy but everyday...I felt more closer to her than ever. It's like if she was here next to me" he sighs.

"Zack, that's what love does to you. You some how fell in love with that women so badly and now that's all you think about. I really hope you find that girl and if you don't I hope you find another women that makes you feel like that again cause love its the most suffered but beautiful thing in the world" She fell now really asleep.

The next day at 8 a.m. Zack wake up feeling a crazy need or should I say feeling to ask or to just do it. He couldn't help to feel this way no longer. Something in him told him that It was truth what he was feeling so he wasted no more time. He didn't know if does feelings that he had were from London or the mystery girl otherwise he was feeling something and needed to clear his head and look for an answer.

"London, I know your my best friend and because of that this wouldn't matter right?" Zack said as he stepped closer to her innocent best friend. "What would not matter?" London asked confused. "This..." He put both hands on each side of her face and kiss her passionately. Some how she was no longer pregnant and they were at the club. He was having flash backs again. So he kiss her and kiss her and kept kissing her like to never let go. But then...snap! She pulls away and slap him on the face. She was pregnant again. "Zack! What the heck was that!?"

"I'm sorry, I needed to find a way of forgetting her but that make it worse...I felt something"

"Yeah your tongue was on my throat, that most be what you felt! I need to get outta of here..." She walked away angrily. "What the hell! Never speak to me ever again!"

Snap!

He wakes up breathing heavily and he looks both of the sides. It was just a dream. London was still sleeping on his arms and she was still pregnant. Such a relief because the thought of just losing her frightened him "Are you okay?" London asked sleepy head, still with her eyes closed. "Uhmm yeah, yeah"

"Why are you breathing like that, had a nightmare?" London asked almost whispering.

"Its nothing keep sleeping London..." He said with a calm voice to her even inside he was still panicking but he cover his fear by kissing slowly her cheek and fell asleep hugging her once again.

"If only Kyle have done that to me every morning" She little smiles and fell again asleep. Oh no she admit it, she loved when he did that.

Maybe they had a best friends kind of romance but didn't realize or didn't wanted to realize that it was truth.

8 of the morning London was already awaken and dressed like ready to go. She threw all his clothes to his face and yelled "Wake up sleeping beauty! We gotta go!"

He grins because he still wanted to get some sleep. He hardly slept last night because his mind couldn't help but to think of that mysterious girl that had him so obsess with. He stand up anyway from the bed and while he was getting dressed he kept looking at London. He couldn't help but felt strange of that dream he had. Looking at her was harder every time cause he knew that something was wrong.

"What are you looking so much Zack?" London asked confused with her arms across her chest waiting for him. He looked down not saying anything about it, it was better like that so he put his jeans on and his shoes and opened the door of the room for her. Still with a serious face. "Well we should go..." He said. "I'm going to miss this place" Zack said looking back at the room he had so many good memories with his bestfriend. "Well, I'm not. Cause that was the worse suit I ever been." London said looking at the room with disgust and he couldn't help but laugh. "Your so negative sometimes" He said to her and she just stare at him with a face and said "Let's send the keys back and get some gas for the car please"

After they give back the keys to the old man. They walked a couple of minutes and found a gas station and buy some gas for the car.

"I hope my car still where I left it" Zack said with a worried face but playing with London. She fake laugh "Don't said that, cause it may be gone"

"London it as no gas"

"Whatever, lets keep going" She said and when they filled up again the car with gas they drive back to the city looking for a cafeteria. "Ugh! I'm so hungry!" London yelled.

"Damn girl we already at the Dennis" He chuckles. "But I got no food on the table"

"We just ordered, keep calm and relax" He said as he relaxed on his sit. "Say that to my baby" She said with a grumpy looking face. He couldn't help but to grin about that face she looked so cute doing that. Then his cellphone rang. "Its Cody"

Over the phone.

"Where are you guys? that this girls are panicking" Cody said with a sigh because the girls were bothering him. Then Maddie took the phone and said "We were calling all night for you, are you guys alright?"

Then Bailey took the phone "Cody is going to have a heart attack if you guys doesn't show up, he said that he can not handle more women in this apartment" Bailey laughs.

Cody took back the phone "Anyways when are you coming?"

"In a couple of minutes we are eating and its a long story, I tell you when we get back bye!" Zack said and hang up. He sighs but couldn't help but laugh. Then London phone rings "Hello?"

"Thank God your alive! are you ok?" Maddie asked worried about her. "Yes, I am ok. Just hungry"

"And the baby?"

"Its fine still inside me" London laughed. "Well bye girls the food its here!" London hang up the phone.

When they finish eating they went back to the apartment and before London could open the door, Zack stop her and said "London I want to tell you something..." but before he could said something the girls opened the door and ran to hug London. "Wow such a favoritism here uh?" Zack said and then Cody walked out of the apartment saying. "I need to get some air"

That same night after telling all that happen yesterday to the girls...

Zack was at the balcony of the apartment alone walking side by side with his both hands on his head. Maya saw him and he stop and just look at the view...the buildings. "Are you okay Zack? You been acting weirdly all day...what's wrong?"

"Uhmm nothing...I mean I don't know I'm just so confuse right now" Zack said as he looked at his ex girlfriend that now where just good friends. "Can I know what is confusing you?"

"Maya I will only tell you if you won't tell no one about this. Can you promise that?" Zack looked at her in the eyes somehow afraid.

"Tell me, I promise. What's wrong?"

"Don't you think is a bit more of a coincidence that the same night that London got pregnant at a club, I slept with someone at that same club at that same night and we were both drunk..."Zack said scared and couldn't almost said the words. Maya suddenly puke out of the building "Are you drunk?" Zack asked. "Maybe a little..." She said laughing while cleaning her mouth. "So, I am barely talking to a wall right now?" He rolls his eyes and sighs.

"Maybe, and maybe I won't remember this by morning" She laughs. He took her by the arm "Come on lets take you to bed" He take her and put her on her bed.

After he took her to bed he thought of something amazing. "Brother! Glad your awake!"

Oh oh what Zack its thinking that is so amazing? and by the way what a quite non romance friendship was out there. It was quite confusing I know but that was the purpose. And damn does flash backs what are does coming from? What is happening between Zack and London? But most of all what is happening to Zack? is he actually considering the facts that it might me true all that his been feeling from the start? Oh Maya why did you get drunk in such a tight situation with Zack? What would happen next? What is Zack thinking about to do? You wanna find out? The next chapter may be a totally shock for you!
