It's been 2 years since kyuubi escaped the seal, became the 10 tails, and killed everyone. Turns out that asshole madara wasn't actually dead and wanted to become the 10 tails Jinchuriki so he can revive everyone the new juubi killed because whats the point in leaving everyone dead? He decided to do this by pulling some deus ex machina out of his ass and summoned the shinigami and sealed it into himself, granting him total control over death and souls n shit. He went and 1v1'd the juubi and won because godjuubi, he then sealed the juubi inside himself with the shinigami and became the most poweerful thing to ever live and revived everyone only to put them into the Infinite Tsukuyomi because "ya'll motherfuckers need peace". It stayed like this for a while, like, half a year then the other gods confronted madara because they wanted the shinigami back.
Madara laughed at them and called them imbeciles before fighting them all and sealing them inside himself and then went to heaven and did the same to the rest of the gods. Madara went to all the other dimensions and did the same thing to all the other juubi's before Izanagi (who was in his own personal dimension because he's a boss like that) got sick of his shit and rekt madara like he was a genin. Izanagi restored everything to how it should have been and wiped everyone's memories to prevent this shit from happening again.
