Chapter 8

At the moment when the Stellar mage mentioned the need of her brother to help rid the evil that was possessing her best friend, he walked through the door, with one arm around Mira's waist, Although, all the Dragon Slayers took a step back apart from Natsu, Knowing that she had been claimed as his mate. Natsu just grinned, "So you managed to find yourself a slut?"

Kane was about to attack him when he felt a tug on his hand, "don't worry Kane, words like that will not harm me, Lucy what is it that you and your brother need to do to, help Natsu out?" Lucy stood a little backwards from Natsu and looked to Kane with a serious face, "He's been tainted with Zeref's dark magic, You know what we have to do right?" That made Kane look serious too, he kissed Mira's forehead, "Go stand with your brother and Laxus ok? This could get very dangerous" "But!..." "No but's, Love, please Right we will have to do this outside if we don't want to destroy the guild."

Everyone was confused when Lucy Took Natsu's arm, which was slightly hot to the touch, and threw him through the doors Kane followed, in which most of the guild did. "Oh so you both think you can take me on? Well let's see you try it!" grinned the possessed Natsu. Lucy took off her red jacket, not wanting it ruined, and threw it to Laxus who caught it, Although not looking impressed that he had to hold it. Though slightly curious as what was going to happen, "Freed, when I say the word, take his restraints off ok?" "But!" No BUTS! We can't do this unless he has them off cause it could cancel out our magic! Kane are you ready?" Kane nodded and cracked his knuckles, "Oh I can't wait to beat the little shit up for what he said about my girl." She nodded, and her eye's glowed gold for a second, "Alright just try not to kill him."

"Freed NOW!" Freed Released the Runes that was holding Natsu bound, and straight away he flared up ready for battle, but Lucy and Kane just stood there, the only movement that they made was reaching out so there hands made contact with each other, and closed their eyes. All members off the guild was confused as to what they was doing.

Natsu licked his lips and began charging forward, "We call upon the ancients, we call upon our ancestories, the light and the darkness will become one, as we bring forth our flesh and blood," a Large magic circle began to form underneath their feet, and a wide range of magical energy flowed from their bodies, in front of them, a line of wolfs began to form, " We call to battle our family, We call to battle the pack! MIDNIGHT RAINS!" once the spell was finished there was at least 20 wolfs now in front of them, all snarling ready to go at the command of their masters, opening their eye's they grinned, "Only 20 sis? You are going easy on the punk!"

Lucy let out a slight laugh, "Natsu is only being possessed we want to beat the evil inside him not kill him all together! Now… GO!" with that command, every wolf began going forward attacking Natsu.

Natsu grinned, "Now your giving me mutts to kill? Aint you kind" he began with his Iron fist of the dragon, taking down 3 of them, making Lucy wince a little, since the magic was connected to the caster, the casters felt the pain of their wolfs. "I'll show you kind! Zeref! Get out of my friends body!" She ran and jumped over the wolfs behind Natsu and elbowed him in the face, splitting his lip, not as bad as what Natsu had done to her own though. "Not bad blondie, but… ROAR OF THE FIRE DRAGON!" Lucy was hit back only slightly dodging the flames but caught her shoulder, Although Kane didn't take it too lightly, he stepped to the side, "HOWLING BLASTER!" a wave of blue flames came out of Kanes mouth and hit Natsu right in the back, causing him to scream in agony.

Lucy had enough of this, the wolfs had been slowly taken down, but she wasn't done yet, "Star flare!" her fist glowed same way as Loki's did when he was doing the regulaus impact and punched Natsu right into the gut, making him keel over. When standing back, Kane noticed something with the dragon slayers shadow, that was forming behind Lucy into a person, "Silver! Behind you!" she just grinned, "Zeref… so you finally decide to come out and play huh?" Zeref smirked in the shadows, " It seems I possessed the wrong wizard back on that island. I should have gone for you wolf slayer!" he launched forward but that was a big mistake, "MOONLIGHT SHOWER!" a beam of silver shot from Lucy's mouth, it was similar to Kane's howling blaster but it also had stars mixed in with it, Hitting Zeref straight head on. Causing the shadow to just disappear, for a few minutes everyone was just stood stunned on what had just happened, they had no idea, that Wolf Slayer magic was so, incredible. Turning back to Natsu he was laid backwards on the floor, our blonde stellar wizard knelt down to him and checked his pulse, then smiled, "He's going to be just fine… just sleepy that's al-" a second later, Runes appeared down her arm, and her eye's went lifeless, falling forward.

At that moment Laxus rushed to her side and looked to Freed, who just smiled, "She beat Natsu in time before my runes activated to place her asleep, remember it's still only the 2nd night of the full moon." That caused the lightening Dragon slayer to groan. "don't worry the spell will keep her asleep till sunrise, but she may be grumpy as she will not have eaten." Nodding Laxus picked up the blonde girl and began walking back to Lucy's apartment mumbling something about Wolfs and their hormones.

A few days had passed since the battle between the two different slayers, and Natsu was still out cold, Lucy had sat by him every day with her arms crossed in the seat next to the bed, since it was her that rid him of the evil inside his heart, she placed the responsibility on herself to watch over him to make sure it was gone. She knew deep down in her heart it was gone but it was always best to stay safe than sorry and to also she wanted to make sure that her best friend was ok. Wendy had healed all of his wounds so it was just a matter of time before the pink haired dragon slayer woke up from his deep slumber. It was also giving her some time to think over the past few weeks on what her feelings exactly was for the dragon slayer, for the longest time she had been in love with him but now, ever since she had been spending time with a certain lightening dragon slayer her feelings have been wavering, but she couldn't really talk to anyone about it, and the one person that she did want to talk to wasn't alive. Her mother, she missed the talks with her about stuff like this.

Looking out of the window she didn't notice the door to the infirmary open and someone come in placing a hand on her shoulder, "Silver, is everything ok?" bringing her back out of the thoughts she had been so deeply in, looking up to see a worried face on her brother, she gave out a soft sigh, "Yeah everything's fine Kane." He let go off her shoulder gently and took a seat next to her, "No it's not, I know you better than anyone Silver, something is on your mind. You can trust me" she gave a sigh running a hand threw her golden locks, she had decided to wear her hair down today, "I'm confused, my feelings, it's like I'm caught in a net between two different tribes,"

Kane looked down to the pink haired dragon slayer and his eye's hardened a little bit, "Your feelings between this jerk slayer and that blonde dude right?" she looked to him and he let his face soften a little bit, "you are scared that your letting your feelings of love go for this guy here for the guy that's been beside you ever since I came right? I can't really say much about this as it might be better talking to MJ but, what I can say is that you should just follow your heart Silver, you've always gone with your heart more than anyone I know. That's the reason why you always succeed with everything more than I have ever done, But whoever you choose make sure it is right for you and not right for them." She looked down to her hands that was laced together and sighed nodding, "thanks Kane, that's some good advice, but you do follow your heart yourself, and Mira will make an awesome Sister in law, I know our ways are different to the humans, techniqually you both are married, since you marked her, but I know she dreams off a nice little wedding." He nodded and sat back smiling, "Yeah and I'm going to give her one." She smiled nodding, when they suddenly heard a grunt from the bed, and Lucy's arm was suddenly being held in a tight grip. "Luce!" she turned to the dragon slayer and groaned a little bit trying to get her arm back from his tight grip.

"Well something's never chance, Natsu give me my arm back!" a small grunt came again but she'd had enough, it didn't take a lot to piss Lucy off these days after what had happened she raised a leg up and Kane was about to stop her but she landed it on Natsu's ribs hard and he sat up straight rubbing his eye's "ouch! What the hell was that for Luce! I swear I didn't watch you bathe again!" he rubbed his ribs and looked around sat up, his face went confused looking around the room, "Why am I in the guilds infirmary? And who's this guy?" they both sweat dropped as Lucy sat down, "You don't remember anything? What's the last thing you remember Natsu?"

He thought back, "When I ate that awesome food you made for breakfast!" Lucy blinked, that wasn't right that's going back almost 3 months ago, she looked to Kane, "That's it? Nothing after that?" he shook his head "No, now can you tell me what's going on?"

Lucy sighed as she looked into his eye's, not even feeling any heat rise in her face anymore like it use too, "You was being controlled and possessed by Zeref Natsu, I made you that breakfast 3 months ago." The pink haired boy blinked and then noticed the girls lip, "Who hurt you!" blinking then she remembered placing a hand to the scar on her lip, "That doesn't matter for now, can you stand?" he got up off the bed and did a few stretches, "Yup! Now who's the dude? And why does he smell funny?"

That made Kane slightly angry but he ignored it and looked to the guy, "Someone who ki-" "His name is Kane Natsu, he's my older brother." That did it, Natsu's draw dropped, " !" Kane nodded and stood up, "Well Silver, I'm going to get back to MJ, now that we know this idiot is ok, I'm going to see if the gang's up for going on a mission. You did promise" She nodded and smiled, "I sure did, Tell her that it's the higher ones this time," he pumped his fist into the air and ran out of the room shouting 'MIMI!' Lucy couldn't help but laugh, shaking her head, "So he's on the team?"

Lucy sighed she had to tell Natsu that she wasn't on Team Natsu any more, and it would probably shatter his heart, "Natsu, that's the thing, I'm… not on your team, not anymore" she looked away avoiding his eye's and looked out of the window, "what! WHY!" "Because you kicked me out of it, 3 weeks ago, I have my new team now, Team Silver" Natsu sat down on the bed, "What? W..why did i?" "You wasn't yourself Natsu, so don't blame yourself, it was Zeref, he knew I was weak back on your team, he knew stuff in your mind and was able to break me a little bit so I just waited and when I was kicked off, I decided to show I wasn't as weak as what everyone thought,"

Natsu looked down to the ground but took her hand, "I never EVER! Thought you was weak Luce, your one of the most strongest people I know, I don't know what terrible thing's I've done while being like that but I want to make it up, whatever mission your going on can I please come with you?" "That's the thing Natsu, it'll be 5 maybe 6 of us then, and I know how destructive you can be." "I PROMISE! I'll behave!"

Lucy gave a groan, she knew he would just follow anyway, "Fine, I maybe the leader but it's Mira who has the final say, As she is picking the mission." "Mira?" she nodded, "Team Silver is me, Kane, Mira and Elfman, Laxus comes with us sometimes."

"Wha! But that's insane! An wait… why do you smell like a wet dog?" that made Lucy shiver a little pissed off, "What did you just say?" "You smell like Wet Dog! Luce… What's Kane done to you?" that was it, she just stormed out of the room downstairs into the main guild hall, Natsu just shrugged and followed, Everyone looked up and saw Lucy gave a thumbs up with everyone cheering.

But Natsu noticed he was getting some glares from people, especially Laxus, That's when he noticed that Kane was Kissing Mirajane, his draw dropped, and then he noticed the mark on her neck, he had never seen that type of mark before he grabbed Lucy's wrist, "what magic does Kane use?" she sighed, "He uses an ancient lost magic Natsu, something that was there long before dragon slayer magic." She turned round and gave him a toothy grin where he noticed her teeth was more sharper, and he guessed what she was going to tell him was the same magic she used since they both smelt like wet dog, "What magic?"

"Wolf slayer magic Natsu…"
