Well, here is my attempt at continuing this story. Enjoy!

Chapter 4: Please Let Me Help

"Ino calm down," said Chouji.

"No!" Ino screamed, "We can't just stay here and wait for that Orochimaru guy to come and kill us! We have to get out now! Temari can't leave, and look, she's not even moving! We should go look for help!"

"I am not leaving without my sister," Kankuro stated.

"Neither am I, there has to be another way out. The snake said she had to at least make it until midnight," said Gaara.

"If some of us leave, then we won't be able to protect her. But Gaara is right, there has to be another way out," said Shikamaru.

"Protect her?! What makes you think we will be able to?! You guys couldn't even touch the snake! He will kill us for standing in his way!" yelled Ino.

"You and Chouji can leave then, I'll stay. This is my fault, I suggested coming here in the first place," said Naruto with guilt all over his face.

"Naruto, don't be so hard on yourself. We can look for another way out," said Kiba.

Just then Temari started to stir, "What happened?"

"Tem, how are you feeling?" asked Shikamaru.

"A little dizzy, but I'm fine," Temari said.

"Tem, after the snake bit you, a mark appeared, and it said you had to make it until midnight. Orochimaru has chosen you," Gaara explained.

"But don't worry sis, we won't leave you here alone," said Kankuro.

"Tem, I'm sorry. I suggested we leave, but I'm just really scared. I don't want to die," said Ino.

"It's ok Ino," said Temari as she looked at Ino, "I don't blame you. I didn't think this place was actually haunted. Look at the mess I got myself into. If you want to leave, it's fine, I'll understand. No need to risk your life when it's me he wants."

Chouji turned to Ino and gently grabbed her shoulder, "What do you want to do Ino?"

They all stared at her waiting for her response.

"Let's find a way out, I, I can't leave knowing you guys will be stuck here. I'm terrified, but what kind of friend would I be leaving you here alone?"

"Alright, well, one thing for sure, let's avoid the second floor," said Shikamaru.

Just then an orb appeared and started making its way towards Temari. Every one stared at it with curiosity, when suddenly it transformed into a person.

"Who the hell are you?!" yelled Kankuro.

"It's one of the twins!" yelled Kiba.

"My name is Sakon and I am here to help," stated Sakon.

"How can we be so sure of that?" asked Shikamaru.

"I, along with my brother, were victims of Orochimaru's torture. It was horrible. In his last experiment, he tried to combine us and in the process my brother died. I vowed I would avenge my brother's death, but he killed me before I could do anything. Without my brother, I was useless to him. He is a horrible man, he has no heart whatsoever, and he only looks to experiment on people so that he could become stronger. Which is why he seeks teenagers. What better victims than a teen who is strong and healthy? I see that she is marked, and I do not want her to suffer the same fate. Please believe me when I say I want to help," said Sakon as he looked at everyone waiting to see how they would respond.

They all contemplated him for bit, and then Gaara spoke out, "How can we get out, if my sister gets near the door it shuts lock."

"That's true, the front door is useless and the second floor didn't even have windows," said Naruto.

"It's true, the second floor will be useless. He left those he was experimenting on up there so that they wouldn't escape. And he put some sort of seal on the door to make sure that anyone with the mark cannot go through it. But I know there is a floor beneath us, and it has a path to the woods. But, that's also the floor where he performed the experiments. I cannot ensure that it will be safe, but it's your only chance of getting out. You can't hold out until midnight, he will get her if you stay. Please, you must try to get out," pleaded Sakon.

"Hang on, you can easily be setting us up. For all we know, you can be leading us right into a trap!" yelled Kiba.

"Yeah!" yelled Naruto, Kankuro, and Ino.

"Shikamaru?" asked Temari as she turned to look at him.

"Well, I can't be certain if he's lying or not. I don't want to put your life in danger Tem. But it does seem like it's our only option. Staying here won't do us any good. If we couldn't touch the snake, then most likely we won't be able to touch Orochimaru. And if he gets you… Tem, I promise I will do everything I can to get you out of here safely" said Shikamaru as he went to hug Temari.

"Sister, we won't leave you," said Gaara.

"Shikamaru, don't worry, we are here as well. We will find a way out," said Chouji.

"Temi, I am sorry. I didn't know this would happen. But I also promise that I will find a way for all of us to get out of here safely," said Naruto.

"Six brave men to protect you, remember Tem?" asked Kiba with a smile on his face.

"Yeah Tem, we'll find a way out. There's no way we will leave you here," said Kankuro.

"And me!" yelled Ino, "But I am really scared, I don't know how much protecting I will be able to do," said Ino with a blush on her face.

"So, I guess we have no other choice but to trust what you say," said Shikamaru as he turned to look at Sakon, "I really hope you do not make me regret this."

"I promise I am not lying. I know there is another way out. But like I said, I can't promise it will be safe. I noticed that entrance when my brother and I were down there. He was experimenting on my brother and I was trying to look for anything that could help us escape. Unfortunately, we weren't lucky, but I won't let that happen to you. Now, I must warn you, we must be careful; my other roommates aren't as friendly as I am, and I am not sure if they will be making an appearance. It's best to avoid the second floor at all costs, that's where they will first appear if they do decide to come out," said Sakon.

"So, how do we get to the basement, I don't see any door?" asked Temari.

"Yes, Orochimaru was known to be very secretive," Sakon said as he started walking towards a wall, "but if you look closely, you'll discover things. So I suggest you don't overlook anything. And pay close attention to every detail. Maybe one of you will catch something that may help us," he said as he began pulling the wall and it started to open. "After he killed me, my spirit remained in the house and I was able to observe, and I discovered how he gets into the basement, but aside from the time spent there while he experimented on my brother and I, I have not entered this place."

Everyone stared at the open door. They shone their flashlights in, it was very dark and you couldn't see past the long hallway.

"Just how big is this basement?" asked Gaara.

"I am not sure of its size," said Sakon.

No one made a move to go in. They were beginning to think that maybe Sakon was tricking them.

"I do not blame you for being hesitant," said Sakon, "I shall go in first."

And so Sakon stepped into the hallway, followed by the rest. And as they walked closely together, they all had the same thought going through their mind, 'I really do hope there is a way out, and that we make it safely…'

Well, there we have it, another chapter to this forgotten story. I feel like I may be a bit rusty, coming back to this story after a long absence. I know I said I would wait to see if you guys would like me to continue it, but I felt like I should put up a chapter to help you decide.
