[London]
-3:00pm-

It had been a few days since her mission and she had informed the order of the "death" of Chrystal. She in turn was informed that one of the few Generals, General Yeager, had been attacked by the clan of Noah, dying shortly after treatment. Immediately after that she told Reever that she was going to take a few days off from the order. Before letting them voice their protests, she disconnected the call to the order and turned Ikki off. She decided that her "few days off" would be away from the order and she would go adventure a bit. A bit like the good-for-nothing recluse known as Cross Marian. The man seriously needed to get his priorities straight. He was supposed to be a great general of the Black Order, right? Yet he refuses to keep in contact and continues to evade his duties.

Straying from her thoughts about the male general she continued walking aimlessly through a part of London she found herself in. It was her last day, she decided. Feeling it was better not to worry the hell out of the order and turn into Cross Marian. She had heard that Allen and Lenalee were sent to go search for said despicable man, so Cross wasn't her problem.

To avoid attracting attention the young lady had changed out of her exorcist uniform and into much more casual clothing. A black cropped shirt with medium sleeves, black short shorts, and black flats. Her dark burgundy colored hair was pulled up into a ponytail, save for her bangs to frame her face. As she walked the cobblestone street, her mind swam elsewhere.

To a place in her mind she absolutely loathed immersing herself in…

[Aura's memory]
~Aura's POV~

I ran through the small indoor garden that the order had. Flowers of all shapes, colors, and sizes filled the rather dull white room. The feeling of soil and grass beneath my feet caused a smile to be brought to my face.

The woman who had allowed me out of my "room" had introduced herself as a scientist, her name was Elisa Sheinmel. It had been a few months since the first time and after some talking with her superiors, she finally convinced them to let me walk around the order at least a few hours a day. There were no words to convey to her how grateful I was to her generosity and kindness, so I did everything I could for her to smile… Anything she asked of me, I would do without question. Her hair was long and this pretty blonde color, ending at her waist. She usually kept it in a braid but sometimes she would let it down and let me play with it for a little while. She had two daughters named Kaya and Juri back in her home, with a husband named Elias, and a baby on the way. She had always said if it was a boy she would name him Jiro, and if it was a girl she would name it Aura. I really liked that name, Aura…

"Why don't they give me a name Mrs. Elisa?" I asked one day when I was playing by the small pond filled with spider-lilies. I was bending them by the stem and watched them as they hung there, as if they were looking at the water, sadly. But then I glanced at her-

I could tell I troubled her, by the look she gave me. "Don't you have a birth name?" she asked, but I couldn't help the feeling she was playing dumb… as if she knew something I didn't.

"I don't remember… I've been here all my life but I've always been called, 00019." I said lightly before looking over at her again, directly. "Do you know why I've never been called by a name? Some of the others were the same, always had a number… from 00001 to 00059. Most of them died during the experiments, all of them have numbers on the gravestones… But the new ones that the order brings in, they have names… though they're not like us from before. Why is that? Why were they treated better? Why do they have names and pasts and moms and dads but I don't." I asked, and each word I spoke happened to get me angrier and angrier by the second. "It's not fair!" I shouted before running off.

[Memory End]
~Normal POV~

The sound of static broke her from her thoughts and begin to look around for its source, finally seeing Ikki behind her and instead of her coat. "Ikki? What the hell? What are you doing?" She asked confused before suddenly Komui's voice came through, booming in worry.

"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN YOUNG LADY?! WE HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CONTACT YOU FOR MONTHS! WHAT IF YOU WERE IN TROUBLE!? YOU CAN'T BE SO RECKLESS!" Komui shouted. Beginning to babble and ramble on and on about how reckless she was being and about when she got back to the order she would be in big trouble.

"KOMUI! Geez... I'm fine Komui, so stop with the mother hen act. And first of all, I've been gone only a few days. I was gonna head back to the order eventually, if I had one more day or two I would've gone back. But what's with hacking Ikki? What's the emergency?" Aura asked before stopping in her tracks, looking around to see if anyone was listening.

"You need to meet up with your Master. I've been getting all the exorcists to protect their masters at all times, It's highly possible that the Earl will target the Generals first, looking for the Heart, before searching among the other exorcists." Komui went on to explain that Cross Marian had a group already formed from his only apprentice and a few others that did not have a master.

"Soka... Do you know where Master Nine is?" Aura asked softly before beginning to turn away from the direction of the order.

"Yes, she's in Valence. We've fixed you the fastest route to Spain inside Ikki. He'll help by directing you in that direction." Komui said, which made her look up to the ice blue, peculiar golem. "Then you must immediately come back. You'll be meeting up with her fellow apprentices. If you encounter Noah, you must protect your innocence and your General at all costs... However if it seems you cannot win, do not fight and retreat immediately."

"Master won't be happy about that, Komui." Aura stated before looking back to the main road and heading out of the city. "But alright... If those are my orders.." She mumbled.

"Good.. Be safe, Aura." Then the call disconnected.

"Lead the way, Ikki." Aura ordered before the Golem seemed to nod then fly in front of her, leading her in the fastest direction to get to Valence.

-Several Days Later-

"... Ikki, why do you choose now to stop cooperating...?" Aura growled before grabbing her golem by it's thin tail, by the flaming designed tuff on its end. "You're so useless when you're in your stupid mood... Are you a golem with a period?" She grumbled once she began to walk down the road. "Maybe I can get something to eat around here... It's dark but I'm sure there's a tavern somewhere... It seems to be the only way you'll stop being uncooperative." Ikki had often gotten in a certain mood, whenever he felt that his master needed to eat.

Aura looked around her for a cheap tavern. She didn't want something expensive.

Finally she found a small tavern called Secret. On the way there she had put on her exorcist jacket, silver with a black lining, inverted from the usual wear, but overall still kept the original design for women. The different design was due to her past, one which a certain Director and Inspector duo knew about. She walked up to the counter and simply order a drink, any kind really. She sat on the stool and sighed deeply, "This is too much work... I should've just gone back home to the order." Aura mumbled beneath her breath before she looked down towards the counter. If she wasn't careful, she would start getting dragged into her thoughts again. Remembering memories better left forgotten. Then that insistent humming invaded her ears once more, every other sound disappearing, drowned out by that humming. "Hachidori..." She whispered. Looking at the glass of refreshments the bar keeper gave her.

"You're distraught." Was its simple answer.

"Is it any of your business?" Aura mumbled before bringing the edge of the glass to her lips and taking a sip. "Your job is to simply activate when I'm gonna kill akuma. Not that you listen all the time."

"So I'm suppose to ignore your feelings? You'll get clouded when we fight and will get yourself killed-"

"You know for a fact She wouldn't let that happen." Aura interrupted before taking a larger sip, a gulp really, of her glass. "Just be quiet... You're just being nosy. Per usual." She stated before just gulping down the glass as if it was beer then getting up. "I've wasted enough time wandering around."

"He's here? Oh goody... I was hoping he was killed."

As soon as those words were said, someone set a hand on her shoulder. The humming stopped at the source of contact and she looked up quickly, "What is- eh?... Who are you? Which general are you looking for?" Aura asked as she brushed off the mans hand and looked at him expecting an answer, but upon seeing the man behind him, "What the hell are YOU doing here...?" Her ice colored eyes landed upon the samurai exorcist she had once or twice contemplated about pushing in front of a train. Per usual, when their eyes met, deep frowns set on their lips and it was like a dark cloud loomed over them. "I was hoping you died by now." Flinching faintly as she felt a sharp pain in her body. Hachi, I will destroy you I swear to all that is holy or dark matter.

"Hm? So you two know each other?" The man between them asked. A pointy hat that hung down from the weight of a bell and a whimsical aura about him. A smirk played on his lips as he nudged Kanda. "When were you gonna tell me you met someone, pal?~" He obviously teased. "Is she why you were in a happier mood before? You looked like you were having fun."

Aura cocked a brow at the two before turning towards the two now. Still waiting for the answers to her questions.

As if reading her mind, the man smiled. "The names Daisya. Daisya Barry. And I'm a fellow apprentice of General Tiedoll, like Kanda over here~" He turned to aforementioned exorcist.

"But Tiedoll is nice, and sweet. How the hell did this guy, who's hair is obviously over compensating something, become such a dick?" Aura paid for her drink then headed outside.

"Wait! Hold on!" Daisya followed after her. Kanda following behind him with evident annoyance.

Aura turned to him, "What is it? I'm in a hurry to find my master if you don't mind." she stated, half lying. She wasn't really in any hurry to find Klaude Nine. Aura knew as much as anyone, her master could handle herself just fine.

"What's your name? And who's your master? We're heading to Spain to find ours." Daisya explained. "I haven't met any other female exorcists other than General Nine and Lenalee. So I'm a bit curious." he admitted with a grin.

Aura looked at him a bit surprised when she had heard the location of their master. Should I just go with them? And as that very faint, absent, thought crossed her mind it seemed like Ikki could hear his masters innermost thoughts and flew from beneath her jacket and nudged her towards the two. "Oi! Ikki!" She reluctantly allowed her golem to do so, and took a deep breath. "My name is Aura Mist... Just call me Aura. My master is General Klaude Nine... and currently... She's in Spain."

Before Barry could utter another word however, the man was suddenly pulled away from her. Dirt and stone were lifted up in the air with smoke as a large bullet impaled itself in the cobblestone. The ground began to show pentacles, a sign of Akuma poison.

The humming returned suddenly and was blaring loudly in her ears. "Hachidori..."

"There's quite a few of them... many of which are level 2's at the most."

"... Alright... Just do your job and fight with me." Aura said. Due to the loud humming that had taken over her hearing, she hadn't even heard Daisya screaming towards her.

"Behind you, Aura."

Hachidori, you better fucking activate.

Aura bit her lip hard as the familiar burning and pain hit her like a carriage. The world around her turning into a blur as she moved from the Akuma's range and across the street. Using the wall, both of her feet connected to the stone, and pushed off it. Sending herself at the Akuma like a bullet, Hachidori, Holy Screech.. The girls mouth opened to release a whimper as the burning sensation became harsher behind her neck, the whimper coming out as a shrill scream that seemed to vibrate the air. The girl didn't even connect with the Akuma as it exploded. All of it happening within seconds. Once the Akuma was destroyed, the humming in her ears lessened as she could hear the world around her again. Finally able to hear the scream of terror many bystanders released. To hear the explosions as homes were destroyed by Akuma. And then, only turning when she heard the familiar destruction of an akuma, and following the sound to Daisya and Kanda who had taken down two more akuma.

"Aura?"

"What...?"

"You're smirking."

"Am I?" Aura asked. And indeed she was. The girl was smirking as she watched the other exorcists actually be useful and fighting pretty well.

"Aura~ Shouldn't you be helping?~" The female voice sent a shiver down Aura's spine and subtle fear to creep along her skin like electricity. "It's beginning to start, Aura~ The fun is about to begin~ And the Millennium Earl has risen his curtain. We'll have so much fun-"

"Leave me alone... bitch." Aura shuddered before zooming off to do her job as a exorcist.
