Hyouga slowed her steps, her nose to the air. The others stopped their pace with her.

"Anything of interest?" Kitsu asked.

"Yeah. Something not human a mile up."

"I'll scout ahead then," Sha suggested, already on the move when her arm was grabbed with a sharp "wait" from Hyouga. "You have a better idea?"

"One that keeps us all out of sight. This one is hiding in plain sight of humans. We can't risk him taking any of them hostage. We'd be risking the last two days of tracking him."

"Not to mention a lot of cleanup in memory wipes alone," Kitsu added.

Sha nodded. "Discrete then." They kept after their quarry, albeit more cautiously as to not shake off their human visages.

Kitsu took the lead slightly, leading them through the crowds at a believable pace. They saw their target look up at a sign and travel downstairs. "Two inside, one in the back?"

"Minimal damage," Hyouga said with a nod. "I'll take the back. Sukuna, front."

They broke off, used to the teamwork by then. Kitsu and Sha took to the stairs, steeling themselves with each echo. They were greeted inside the café immediately. A quick sweep of the place told them it was not busy at all. Only a few other patrons, and their target taking a swig of coffee, freshly poured by the looks of it as the woman behind the counter walked away with the pot.

Sha nodded in his direction as Kitsu kept walking. By the time he looked up and noticed their presence, Sha blocked his last remaining exit as Kitsu snuck up behind him. She slipped onto the stool next to him. "Peyer. Make this look easy, and it will be."

He let out a huff and clasped his fingers together. "I have no reason to. You'll kill me regardless."

"Lucky for you I'm in a giving mood. Your status does not require your termination." She plucked the coffee from his grasp and took a sip. "So, Spirit World is on your tail, huh?"

"What's it to you, traitor?"

She let out a mocking hiss of pain. "Strike me deep, why don't you?" She took another sip of coffee. "Your file said interference in Human World. Smuggling humans. Alive might I add. Bravo."

He grinned. "You'd be surprised what you can accomplish with sedatives." He shrugged, keeping his sight off the females. "Though I know you're not interested in how so many at once."

"You do have a brain, Strawman." She set down the cup. "Make it easy on yourself, and us."

"You mean to tell me you of all things, a reptile from the looks of it, don't crave that flesh?"

She grinned. "I've always been more fond of fish, thanks." She nodded to Kitsu, who stepped forward. "Will you come quietly?"

He held up a finger and Kitsu paused while he put the coffee to his lips, chugging the remaining contents. He shook his head. "No chance."

Sha dodged the coffee mug thrown right to her face and she reached for him. He remained just out of reach. He tossed his stool at Kitsu, who smashed through it. Not before he leapt backward, out of reach and out the back. Sha and Kitsu pursued their target.

A sharp yelp came from in front of their path. Just outside the back door, they discovered Hyouga had caught him with her arm around his throat. "Just once I'd like them to take the easy route." She nodded inside as he kept struggling against her hold. "Knock it off, asshole." She whapped him in the head and his struggles ceased. "Anyway, damage report?"

Kitsu nodded and went back inside. "Minimal," Sha answered. "Kitsu will detain the ones that need to be detained. Sukuna will have sealed the entrance, so no one's left that way."

Hyouga nodded. "I'll get this idiot to Koenma. You guys good on cleanup?"

Sha nodded. "As always. Save me the pain of delivery." They parted ways, Sha entering the café again. Kitsu was already on cleanup, telling the six patrons and kitchen staff that it was nothing. That they were with the police undercover. Sha smirked. Never failed to work. Humans were quick to believe the logical, after all.

She held back at the front door as Kitsu completed her spiel, her arms crossed. It hadn't been a bad hunt, considering. Peyer could have kept to a much more populated area. Then again, if his operation was to be discrete as to not alert their source of income know of their existence, that would have been a stupid idea. The question now was if he would talk. She shifted as Kitsu came her way. It wasn't her problem any longer. Now it was the SDF's turn to investigate.

"You get more creative each time you weave that tale," she said with a smirk as they exited to the stairs.

"Yeah well, when you spin the same yarn over and over again, you tend to spice things up." Sukuna joined their pace towards the portal Hyouga had taken.

Sha hummed. "I see your point."

Kitsu paused for a moment. "You handled that fairly well. In a 'giving mood' huh?"

Sha smirked. "Don't push it while I have it."

"Not my intentions." They passed through the portal, emerging into Spirit World, near the main office. "It's good to know the outlet is working for you. And that you have the possibility for more."

"Let's just leave it at outlet for now."

"Oooh, for now," Sukuna teased.

Sha rolled her eyes. "Let's be mature adults about this. I need sex. He needs sex. Is the emotional connection nice? Yes. Was it interesting spending three days naked with someone? Of course." She paused, realizing she was enunciating her words with her hands in broadening motions, in the middle of the busy floor. Ogres that had paused in their work resumed once they noticed her regain her senses. She took in a small breath. "We'll see how it goes. I don't want to get attached."

Kitsu shrugged as they resumed their pace to their offices. "I can understand that. And respect it. There's no sense rushing to label it. You two especially."

Sha frowned and looked up at her. "What do you mean?"

"You're unique. You both despise domesticated life. You at least see the benefits to it."

"He's starting to. However, his spirit is too wild. He doesn't have the outlet I do." She shook her head. "I don't know if it will work. To quell what he has, he'd need to spend more time away than here. That would take away my own outlet for whatever bloodlust I build up. His builds much quicker due to his temper. And without something to keep his attention, he couldn't stay long."

"You've… put a lot of thought into this."

"Six weeks is a long time to dwell on things while mulling over paperwork and pushing keys." She crossed her arms as they reached her door first. "My reasonings for keeping him around are selfish, don't get me wrong. I'm not about to let go of a man that can satiate a half-dragon's bloodlust. I'd be an idiot."

Kitsu smirked. "It's not completely that and you know it."

Sha rolled her eyes again and sighed. "Not anymore it isn't, no. Like I said, the connection is nice. And I wasn't sick of him after three days."

"You're just scared."

Sha glared at Sukuna.

She held her hands up in defense. "I'm sorry Sha, but you're making excuses and dodging the truth. You're scared to lose another one."

Sha bit back a flick of anger, knowing Sukuna was more brash with her speech.

"Look, I get it. But… What if you don't take the opportunity and lose him anyway?"
