their savior is a mysterious mammoth named Gaara.

A New Face
It was a beautiful summer morning and our friends were migrating to find a new home.Manny was happy that Ellie decided to come with them and stay with him.Because if she didn't, Manny would die alone, a lost mammoth in a dark, cold world. Crash and Eddie were just playing around, until suddenly Eddie stopped, frozen still. "Hey Eddie," said Crash, "why'd ya stop?" When he showed up by Eddie's side, their hearts almost stopped. They ran back to camp screaming; "Hey, what gives you two?" said Diego.
They both pointed in the same direction they came; the gang went to inspect the area. When they got there, they couldn't believe their eyes, three giant snakes were to attack."Ellie, you get Sid and your brothers to safety, Diego and I will hold them off," said Manny. It's been at least 10 minutes of fighting, Manny and Diego were too weak to go on. Just as about the snakes were to strike, they were being sucked into quicksand.Their screams were no longer to be heard. Diego looked around on what caused the quicksand. "You know you should thank me," called a voice; Manny and Diego were spooked to hear the mysterious voice.
Ellie and the others heard it too, as they were reunited with Manny and Diego. "Up here, in the trees," said the voice again. Manny looked up to see a young bull mammoth standing on the tree branch, leaning against it's owner. The young mammoth bull was about around 15 to 17 years old, he kind of looked like a boyish version of Ellie.
He had small tusks and his fur was between Manny's dark brown and Ellie's light brown. His hair was wild like Ellie's, but had a crimson tint to it. The boy had dark rings around his ocean blue eyes, and had a Japanese letter for love over his left eye on his forehead. He looked about two inches smaller in height than Ellie. He had something strapped around his back, it looked like a gourd.
