A/N: Heyy people just me bored so here's a one-shot on James and his birth.
I know its lame but I was bored……
James
Helen Potter smiled down at her newborn son.
"James." she sighed happily. "James Potter."
Healer Jenkins waved her wand at a blank piece of parchment, where words immediately began to write themselves down. A moment later she handed the completed birth certificate to Mrs. Potter, who smiled thankfully and took it.
For a moment, tears of happiness blurred her vision as she studied her son's birth certificate. She was a mother, and she owed it all to her caring husband.
For the past nine months, Harold Potter had worked almost double the usual Auror hours, letting Helen stay at home safely so she wouldn't lose another baby on behalf of their dangerous jobs.
The final battle was very near. A dark wizard named Grindelwald was at the height of his power and the Ministry of Magic, along with talented Albus Dumbledore, was doing everything it could to stop him.
Meanwhile, another source of dark power was emerging from the south. Some retired Aurors had been murdered while Grindelwald's followers were known to have been on the other side of the country, battling with the Ministry. These were not very good times to be missing work.
Helen was abruptly snatched out of her thoughts by the sound of the hospital room door being pulled open. She looked up and smiled warmly at seeing who it was. "Harry." Helen greeted her husband as he entered the room looking like he'd just flown halfway around the world on his broom.
Harold Potter was out of breath from rushing to the hospital so all he managed was a quick peck on the cheek for his wife as he retrieved James from her arms.
"He looks just like you Harry." Helen commented to her husband, "but he has my hair." She rolled her eyes, "My stubborn, messy hair."
Harold chuckled softly, his breath calm now. "But that's what I love about you." He whispered lovingly, while running his thick fingers through her hair.
Helen smiled up lovingly at her husband and they both just stared at each other, happiness welling up inside them, for what could have been hours, when Healer Jenkins walked into the room and said, in her brisk, sharp and demanding voice, "Your wife and son have been through a lot today and they need rest. You May come back tomorrow to see them but for now you must go."
She held the door open for Mr. Potter as he left, sneaking a last glance at his newborn son. With one last, disapproving frown at Helen, Healer Jenkins took James and followed Harold out the door.
Helen leaned back in her hospital bed and was soon fast asleep, a slight smile etched onto her face.
Hoped you liked it with all the lameness and stuff… but whatever I have nothing better to do :D
