The next couple of weeks were wonderful, crazy, bizarre, horrible, intense, and peaceful all at the same time. The Cullen Family slowly got used to me being around, even the annoying blonde Rose. Mainly with the help of EJ giving them images of being in love with me. Who's going to kill the person the new baby loves right? Though Emmett seemed to enjoy homosexual jokes made at my expense even more than Leah, who had found my imprinting her new favorite subject of conversation. Edward was still insisting that the J in Edward Jacob stood for Junior, but the big change in the house, the one that had everyone on edge, was Bella waking up hungry.
We all knew that having a newborn vampire in the house with a newborn baby was a recipe for disaster, but luckily Bella's thirst didn't seem to be centered on EJ. In fact, Edward and EJ were the only people who could be around her safely. If anybody else came into their room unannounced Bella would start growling and protect her two guys. Edward had tried to calm her down and assure her that her entire family was safe and nonthreatening, but she was one hundred percent protective and taking no chances. Edward brought EJ out periodically to give Bella some space, but she seemed even crankier when she couldn't see her son. Alice was taking it really hard and spent a lot of her time out of the house with Jasper. I knew that Bella and Alice were friends, but I when I saw how hard Bella's rejection of the family had affected Alice I finally realized how close they had been. Carlisle said that Bella would recover in time and we had to be patient with her. Jasper said it was just good that she was being protective and not killing humans. All in all I thought things were going to be just fine in our strange little family. If I had only had had Alice's power to see what would happen next.
