As the darkness subsided Luke and Abi were greeted by the vast expanse of what looked to be a Vineyard.

"Well this can't be right. I thought we were going to Seattle. Yeah, I thought the same thing, hold on real quick." Luke answered "Hey Percy, are you seeing this right now? I thought we were headed to Seattle to fight Hermes, but it looks like you've got us about to fight Dionysus." Luke said with a head cock. The voice of Perseus instantly responded to the question.

"Oh yeah, my bad totally forgot to mention I decided to switch up the routes last minute. I think this will be a better match for Abby's plant growth powers. I believe in you kid, take him down.

"You heard the boss, one dead Olympian coming right up." Luke and Abi clasped hands in agreement.

As the pair walked through the Vineyard Abi could feel it, the grapes looked larger, smelled sweeter. He was close.

"Can you sense him?" Luke asked

"Yeah there's magic in the air, it's pooling in concentration in the barn up there" Abi said pointing towards the hill before them.

"Excellent in that case." Luke snapped and a wave of gold emitted from his being flowing outwards. Everywhere the gold reached, all movement stopped. Vine leaves remained static, birds seemed suspended in the air.

"Did you just?"

"Yeah I stopped time for about a half mile radius. I don't want anything getting in the way." Luke said. As Luke said this a dark purple comet erupted from the barn and headed straight for them Luke grabbed Abi and leaned to the side allowing the comet to come to a crashing stop next to them. From the crater rose their target.

"Dionysus."

"Usually I would engage in a bit of banter but you lot have proven your propensity for the distasteful." Dionysus said.

"I'm intrigued Dionysus, are you saying you've never put your best foot forward?" Luke said with a raised eyebrow.

"You tell me Castellan." Dionysus answered. Dark clouds began to gather and the scent of pressed grapes filled the air. Abi was instantly on guard. The Wine God lifted his hand and a staff with a pine cone on top appeared.

"Hey Luke?" Abi said as she twisted her ring allowing her sword to spring forth.

"Yeah Kid" Luke answered while cracking his neck.

"How smart was it to fight the God of Wine in a Vineyard?"

"Honesty moment? He needs the handicap." Tendrils of grape vines rushed towards the pair. As Luke lifted his sword, he was surprised as the tendrils came to halt before him.

"What?" Dionysus said under his breath as he and Luke both saw Abi with her hand up, eyes alight like green orbs. Luke smiled as he rushed forward faster than thought the vines were slashed to met sword in a shower of sparks.

"I always thought you were a slacker of a god who knew you had some fight in you?" Luke said as he kicked his foe in the chest.

"Insolent fool." Dionysus said lifting his thyrsus to block a strike from Abi before lifting his hand. Suddenly all of the huge grapes lifted themselves off of their vines. Abi noticed immediately, The grapes sounded as if they were sobbing in pain. Dionysus turned his opened hand into a fist effectively crushing the grapes until they were no bigger than ants.

"Divinely charged grape bullets" Abi said Luke whistled at the sheer number.

"Get behind me." Luke said. Abi didn't need to be told twice. Luke lifted his hand as golden energy flowed out creating a wall about 10 feet high and 10 feet across. The bullets swirled into the air, with a yell Dionysus thrusted his hand forward but was met with disappointment as they turned to ash as soon as they made contact with the golden wall before him.

"So you want to take him huh?" Luke said with a smile.

"How did you-?"

"I noticed it when he pushed those tendrils you were itching for a one on one." Luke answered.

"Our powers are a match for one another. I wanted a chance to see how far I've come."

"Percy was right. You guys really are something else. Fine Abs take him down."

As the dust cleared, Dionysus could make out the figure of a lone warrior coming out to face him.

"Demigod, do you truly believe you can kill me by yourself?" Dionysus asked

"I won't know until I give it my best shot." Abi said, cracking her neck.

"Come and meet your death." Both warriors raced toward one another, the sound of their weapons clashing ringing through the vineyard.

Jason reached his hand out to the spot where Ares' throne once sat, pouring everything he had into the spot.

"It doesn't work that way." Athena said, seemingly appearing out of nowhere.

"Sorry, this is my first time trying to take an olympian throne. You'll have to forgive me if I don't exactly get it." Jason said without turning. Athena gave a snort of derision.

"If it isn't working then that means there's someone ahead of you in line."

"Pardon me."

"The power you're trying to claim it senses that there is someone who better grasps it."

"I've fought through countless wars, countless battles, who could possibly understand it better than me."

"That is the question isn't it?" Athena said

"I can help you answer that." Frank said as he from the throne room doors. Without hesitation Athena disappeared from view foot planted firmly on the chest of what looked like Atlas but he felt…different.

"Father, why is there a titan with you?"

"Athena correct I see why you're his favorite." Kronos laughed

"That is Kronos, he's here to assist with the coming war." Zeus said with an almost bored expression.

"Frank! You're alive! We thought you faded!" Jason said as he rushed towards his once comrade.

"Nah I made a deal with your dad. In return for a quiet existence facilitated by the story of us fading, if Olympus ever needed help I would drop everything."

"Wow! Where's Hazel?" Jason asked. Frank smiled though the slagging of his shoulders told Jason everything he needed to know.

"She decided to really fade about half a century ago."

"I really am sorry to hear that man." Jason said, putting his hand on his friend's shoulder.

"This reunion is very touching but the goddess still has her foot on my chest." Kronos said in a matter of fact tone.

"Father explain!" Athena said with eyes glowing.

Athena and Jason were not mentally prepared for the story they heard. In fact there was a visible jaw drop when Zeus got to the part about the 5 underworld rivers fortifying the soul of the Titan Lord.

"So the Titans are on our side?" Jason said

"Yes."

"How do we know we can trust them?"

"Because Hyperion has already died for this cause. The truth is grandson, we are family. We shall beat back this invader as a family." Kronos answered.

"Fine." Jason answered.

"Only thing left is for me to ascend this throne of war." When Jason said this it was as if time stopped.

"You won't be ascending to that throne Jason" Frank said.

"What do you mean?" Jason asked. Kronos couldn't help but smile.

"I am a big fan of where I hope this is going." Kronos said with a maniacal smile.

"Can't you see it's the only way i'm the strongest non olympian we have ascending me makes the most sense."

"Frank is a child of war, his mother was a soldier, his baptism was in conflict." Athena said.

"Jason." Zeus said "It would be for the best."

"I'll fight him for it" Jason said "How better to decide the new god of War but with a fight?"

"You can't just-"

"Lets do it." Frank said is voice betraying no emotion. Zeus and Athena were stone faced a fight between the two strongest non olympians would possibly be disastrous.

"You guys are fun!" Kronos said

The courtyard outside the throne room would serve as the venue for their battle.

"This will be a 1 versus 1 battle." Athena said reluctantly. Zeus and Kronos sat off to the side watching with eager interest. "The battle will be over when one of you cannot continue." Frank removed a small gold and black orb from his pocket, whispered to it slowly before pressing it slightly against his chest. "All weapon powers and abilities are fair use." Light exploded from Frank as gold and black smoke steamed from his body.

"What did he just do?" Jason asked

"He just made this a lot more interesting."

"Begin."

Jason barely had enough time to raise his blade before Frank was upon him. Sparta met Gladius in a shower of sparks. The fighters close proximity allowed jason to see Franks eyes one had turned a deep shade of gold almost like-

"That was Hazels godly power, you took into yourself."

"Glad you're caught up." Frank said with a smile. Jason managed to unhook their blades before backing away to create some distance. This action proved to be a fatal mistake. The distance had given Frank just enough room to use his bow. Arrows whizzed toward Jason 2 at a time. With a combination of dodges and blocks Jason ensured that none of them met their mark.

"I'm ending this now Frank, that throne belongs to me." Jason said as he launched volleys of lightning. Frank did the unimaginable running full speed toward the lightning before transforming into an electric eel. Once he was through the bolts Frank transformed into a mountain goat before head butting the son of Jupiter with a sickening crack. Jason was sent flying.

"That's your problem Jason. I've heard all about your fights since I've been gone. You're rigid at best and uninspired at worst. You have access to one of the most powerful elements in the world and the best you thought of 'encase myself in lightning' boring!" Frank said, stabbing his spatha into the ground. "War is a lot more than strict training. It's anticipation, its maneuverability, its adaptability in the face of overwhelming stress and pressure. Its throwing aside everything you know for the sake of never being caught off guard." Lightning crashed as Jason began to rise a playful smile dancing on his lips.

"Thanks Frank, I think I finally got it." Jason sain standing fully on his own. Kronos leaned forward with curious anticipation.

"What?" Zeus asked

"When strength and mind are at one, that is when true power is born. Zeus your offspring was powerful but he was weighed down by training and tradition it seems…" Kronos said

"It seems he cast off those shackles." Athena finished.

"Let us see what new might will be born before our eyes." Kronos said.
