Luz doesn't know how long she was out, but when she woke up, she was in a Healing Center, this time, with chains holding her to the bed.
"Chains?" She asked.
"It was either that, or I turn you into a rug." Boscha said, as her and Amity came into the room.
"Really?" Luz asked, slightly groaning.
"We had to make sure you didn't run off again like last time." Amity said.
"Can you really blame me?" Luz asked.
Amity and Boscha shared a look before making two chairs float over to them. They sat down and grabbed Luz's hand.
"Luz... we're so... so sorry about what we did." Boscha said, "We were scared. We thought you were heading somewhere that you couldn't come back from. We thought you were going to get one of us, or even yourself, killed... and for four months... we thought you died thinking we hated you."
"I didn't though." Luz said, "I know you two, I know you're not the type to hate. I didn't think you hated me... I just thought... when you two dumped me, I was a lot of things, angry, sad... scared. I came here because there was a lot of people that liked me, that enjoyed me being here, and when I began to lose people, I panicked. When you guys left... I wasn't thinking."
"Luz... when we heard you were missing, we were scared." Amity said, "And when we thought you were dead... we're so sorry. We hope you can forgive us one day."
Luz looked at them.
"Well... maybe I could... if you give me a second chance?" Luz asked.
Amity and Boscha smiled at each other before smiling at Luz.
"We wouldn't have it any other way." Boscha said.
Amity walked to the other side of the bed and the two kissed Luz's cheeks.
"We love you, Luz." Boscha said, "Okay, so, here comes the bad news... you've been in coma for a month."
"On the bright side, we have the human world portal." Amity said, quickly, "But... you're going to be in the Healing Center for a good while... you... did they even feed you when you were in prison? You're thirty pounds lighter than you should be. Not to mention dehydrated, had EVERY rib broken, had several fractures in multiple different bones, and you also were very aggressive when you woke up."
"What do you mean woke up?" Luz asked.
"Well, you woke up from your coma the other day... and proceeded to try and attack the healers." Boscha said, "They drugged you and then we chained you to the bed. They thought it was because of how violent you were, but we just didn't want you to run away again."
"Well... that's embarrassing." Luz said.
"Just rest, when you're able to leave, we'll bring you right to the Manor and take care of you." Boscha said, "And we WILL be talking about the missing arm."
"My ar-Oh yeah, I remember. I had to cut it off to get free." Luz said, looking at where her arm used to be, now just a clean cut down the shoulder blade with bandages around it, "I'm guessing they had to disinfect it a lot while I was out?"
"Yes. Not to mention repair any possible nerve damage you caused yourself." Boscha said.
"Luz... if you would STOP cutting people's limbs off, that would be great." Amity said.
"Hey, I had no other choice." Luz said, "It was either I lost an arm, or you all lost your lives. I made a choice, and I don't regret it."
While the two of them were talking, Boscha was measuring Luz's other arm while humming.
"Uh, Boscha, what are you doing?" Luz asked.
"Just... trying to see something." Boscha said, adjusting her glasses and putting the measuring tape away, "Okay, we'll leave you to rest, come on, Mittens, let's head home."
The two walked out of the room, and making sure they were far away from Luz before talking.
"So... do we tell her about the basilisk that took her place in the Human Realm?" Amity asked.
"Uh, I think she's been through a lot already, let's give her some time to heal before we tell her about her new sister." Boscha said, "Now, let's go, I have work to do."
In Luz's room, Luz laid in bed, not much else to do, when a golden hand touched her shoulder.
"Not bad, human." Hunter said with a small smirk.
"Hey... I just did what I needed to." Luz said, "I hope I made the Titan happy."
"He is. Trust me." Hunter said, "He knows the people are in good hands with you as their protector... if you see Flapjack, let him know I'll miss him."
Luz nodded.
"I will." Luz said, "See ya, Hunter."
"See ya, Luz." He said before disappearing.
Luz couldn't help but smile.
"Good hands?" She asked, "I only have one."
And just like that, the longest story I've ever made, is finished. Leave your final reviews.
