Hey guys! Since I posted a chapter yesterday (for some reason), I decided that I'd post one today as well so it didn't mess with the schedule I planned for this. Anyway, I hope y'all enjoy!

Review Replies:

arrowchristian: I'm glad you liked Acronix lol. I really enjoyed writing him and honestly thought he deserved more time in the story... but that wouldn't make sense for the plot. Also I love Jaya moments where Nya is kinda savage and Jay is either confused or dissapointed lol. Just to get a break from the obsessive Jaya scenes from the show...

Ghostkie: (Since you posted several reviews, imma just respond to them all 'cause why not?) Lol I didn't think about that with Lloyd's sword. And don't worry, there is no way I'd let Wu die like that. Everything will be back to normal! I didn't clarify in the story because I didn't know where to slip in the detail, but technically Wu died at about the same moment Lloyd fell unconscious, a.k.a., the ninja didn't exactly have a choice there. Hmm... baby Lloyd would be cute, but for the stories sake (and because I have a personal headcanon about it), the time blades can also use beams of time or something, and it's different from the time punches... idk, the headcanon is a little wrinkly lol.

Oh and one thing before you read, I didn't emphasize it in the story, but Lloyd has his gi mask on 24/7 after he lands in the new time. Just wanted to clarify, because otherwise the story can be confusing.

Anyway, enjoy! :D

When Lloyd opened his eyes, he discovered the ninja standing over him with curious looks on their faces.

Wait, this can't be right. They were tied up by the Hands of Time!

Then Lloyd remembered what happened right before he passed out.

Krux must've sent me back in time!

Wait, what if my presence will mess with the timeline?

Lloyd sat up, the ninja backing up and giving room for the Green Ninja to stand.

"Are you the Green Ninja?" all of the ninja asked simultaneously, clearly eager to discover who Lloyd was.

"Uuh… I don't think I can answer that," Lloyd tried to explain, but the ninja didn't seem to accept that as an answer.

"Why not?"

"Are you from the future?"

"Are you one of us?"

"What's your name?"

Lloyd slowly backed away from the past forms of his friends, their persistent questions becoming a headache to listen to. The ninja noticed and encircled the Green Ninja, and while he could easily avoid them, Lloyd thought it would be impractical for him to run away from the group. After all, the confrontation didn't seem to mess with anything so far.

"What?" Lloyd sighed, crossing his arms as the ninja observed the time-traveling outsider.

"Who are you?" Zane asked, his voice strange to Lloyd compared to the robotic tone Zane used in his time.

"I'm not sure I can tell you," Lloyd repeated, Kai letting out a huff.

"Why? Why can't you tell us?" the fire ninja growled, squinting his eyes at Lloyd in suspicion.

"I'm afraid it might mess with the timeline… or something like that," Lloyd stated, thinking of the least complicated way to explain what was going on.

"Where did you come from?" Jay suddenly piped up.

"I came from the future. I think four years from now, depending on what time it is here," Lloyd told the group.

"If you aren't going to tell us who you are, will you at least give us a nickname to call you so we can address you properly?" Zane requested, glancing at Lloyd with skepticism.

A nickname? I've never used a nickname before. I didn't think "Lloyd" could get much shorter.

What about my middle name? I could shorten "Montgomery" to "Monty"...

I guess that could do for now.

"Monty," Lloyd declared to the group, holding out his hand for Zane. The ice ninja placed his hand in Lloyd's, shaking it.

"Wait, so you can't tell us your real name, but you can tell us your nickname? Why? Aren't those basically the same thing?" Kai questioned, still frowning at Lloyd.

"Not exactly. Monty isn't my real name, short or full, so it shouldn't mess with anything," Lloyd elaborated, releasing Zane's hand in the process.

"Wait, so you are the Green Ninja?" Cole asked, looking Lloyd up and down as if he was checking him for weaknesses.

"Yes," Lloyd responded, raising his left hand and letting a small spark of energy appear. At first Cole flinched away from it, but soon recovered and began observing the mystical power.

"Wow…" the earth ninja murmured, watching as the energy spark disappeared.

Suddenly Sensei Wu came rushing out of the monastery, his face wrinkled with worry.

"The Serpentine are back! Everyone in Jamanakai Village is in danger!" Wu shouted, the ninja turning towards their master.

"Calm down, Sensei. We were just there. It was some kid who says he—" Cole started before Wu cut him off.

"The spirit smoke does not lie! An ancient evil has been released!" Wu called out, and the ninja looked amongst each other.

"Nya's there right now," Kai pointed out, concern creeping up in the fire ninja's tone.

"Nya?" Jay asked rhetorically, the ninja soon rushing off to get their dragons.

Wu and Lloyd were left alone in the monastery. For several long minutes the two stood in their spots, hardly looking at each other. After some time however, Sensei Wu spoke up.

"Who are you?" Wu asked, slowly approaching Lloyd.

"I'm the Green Ninja. I got sent here from the future…" Lloyd explained, Wu now standing right in front of the time traveler.

"How did you get here?" Wu persisted, stroking his beard in curiosity. At first Lloyd hesitated to tell him, but then he remembered that Wu knew about the Time Twins.

"Krux and Acronix returned and used the Reversal Time Blade to send me back in time," Lloyd told Wu, the old sensei frowning. Much time passed before either of them continued to talk.

"Who are you?" Wu questioned, looking Lloyd in the eyes.

"For now you can call me Monty," Lloyd stated. "I can't tell you my real name yet, sorry."

"It is quite alright," Wu insisted, putting one hand on Lloyd's shoulder. "However I believe we should check on the other ninja. They might need help."

When Lloyd and Wu arrived the Serpentine had retreated, and the townspeople had been unhypnotized. Wu headed over to the group, Lloyd following a little ways back.

"We're sorry, Sensei. If we dealt with Lloyd before he became a problem, none of this would've been necessary," Kai apologized, handing Wu the Serpentine's staff.

"Even lessons learned the hard way are lessons learned," Wu stated, collecting the staff and stroking his beard. "Hmm... a great evil has been released. I fear troubling times will come. This is only the beginning."

"Then we will train and be ready for the Serpentine," Zane claimed, grinning at the sensei.

"It may not be Lord Garmadon, but that doesn't mean we won't bring our A-game," Cole encouraged.

"Help us train. Help us realize our potential!" Kai requested.

"Yeah! Teach us the secrets behind the weapons of Spinjitzu!" Jay cheered.

"Hmm... there is much to teach. We must return to the monastery," Wu informed the group, and they began walking back to the dragons. After some walking Nya spoke up.

"When am I gonna get my own dragon?" Nya sighed, frowning in jealousy as the boys mounted their dragons.

"Patience, Nya. Your time will come," Wu muttered as the group flew off back towards the monastery, unaware of the peril and destruction that awaited them.

I actually rewatched season 1 of Ninjago so I could write this chapter. While I had originally planned to just use the transcripts, they don't emphasize the actions that the ninja do well enough for me to just go off of the transcripts, so... yeah, that happened.

Anyway I hope y'all liked this chapter, at least now that it finally got to the main plot of the story... and please leave a review! :D
