Chapoter 5

Bhudda looked over at the seven unwise gods. Who had decided to meddle with him and his affairs. And beyond that, It seemed they wished to be judge, jury , and executioner.
How bothersome.
Ebisu was cradling his injured hand

Damn iiiiit!" He would shout, pulling a fish-shaped handgun from a holster on his side Firing three shots at point blank range, However, Buddha who had prepared to dodge, quickly found that he didn't need to. A grew blur wihizzed past the bullets and onto the stone fountain, Bouncing off of it and glancing with the center bullet, Knocking it off course into the leftmost bullet, and the blur itself ricocheting off the right bullet and toward the god of traders.

Ebisu would quickly block with his other hand Yelping as the flesh was shredded to pieces, before lodging itself into his palm.
The gods of fortune would look behind themselves to the source of what appeared to be a stone Where stood none other than Cu Chulainn, Carrying a sling.

"Didn't anyone else tell ya seven on one is hardly a fair fight?" He asked, Leaving the lucky gods seething , and Bhudda clearly amused. . The group would hear footsteps coming from the eastern side of their current battlefield.
"My my… Isn't heaven a rowdy place?" The voice of the old man, Sasaki Kojiro. "Ganging up on a single man? I doubt Poseidon would stand for something like this."
Buddha would chuckle at his 'saviors' . He didn't need this kind of assistance, And was even more amused when the other hero of the emerald isle came to in hand.
"It seems i wasn't the only one who thought to lend you a hand…" Kojio would chuckle.
Fionn would look at the samurai with a degree of concern.

"Old timer, You feeling any better with them wounds of yours?" He asked, His eyes turned toward Sasaki, while facing firmly to the seven lucky gods.
The swordsman would nod..
"Out of the human fighters that had this feeling, I'm in the best shape, Little more than a couple deep cuts and some scratches… Hardly enough to keep me down!" He would place one of his hands on the hilt of his Katana.

Being willing to leave well enough alone, Fionn turned toward the Seven lucky gods as Cu chuckled.
"Seems the lot of ya are surrounded by a whole host of superior forces…" The hound would put away his sling, and bring out his famed spear.
"Gae Bolg!"Ebisu would hesitate somewhat As he recognized the seven barbed spear. "He ain't messin' around!"

Benzaiten would take the rear , playing her Biwa sending a quite literally sharp note Cu chulainn's way, Driven by instinct He would swing his barbed lance fast enough to disrupt the vibrations of her note causing what would have been a blade of vibrating air to disperse, and Cu to take the offensive. Charging forth and being intercepted with Bishemonten and his Khakkara staff, creating a booming shockwave t throughout the garden, The two kept their weapons locked, and despite Bishemonten's stillness of face, it was quite clear that Cu chulainn had the advantage in brute force, As the staff that Bishemonten held threatened to buckle under the pressure of Cu chulainn's mighty downward swing. ,

Eventually the ar god took a leap back to gain some distance, only to be pursued by the hound.

Ebisu would try to give some covering fire for his boss, But the bullets were stopped by an Iaijutsu strike from Kojiro. As Fukurokuju had crossed blades. All the while Bhudda was casually dodging unarmed strikes from Jurojin and hoteison.

AS cu had quickly managed to catch up and put the pressure on Bishemonten, Daikokuten had moved to swing his hammer downward on the pretty boy warrior, He brought one hand away from his spear, And blocked the mighty blow with a simple wooden club. Taking the distraction, Bishemonten would disengage. Knocking the barbed spear aside and kicking Cu away from himself.

"You alright, Bishamonten?" asked the young looking god in his bizarre suit of armor.
The war god would nod calmly, Eying the hound from a distance.
" For him to push a war god onto the back foot so easily… " He would spin his staff about. Pointing it in Cu Chulainn's direction. "I must admit i'm impressed."
Cu laughed at that notion however, almost spitefully.

"It's startin' to seem between you and Ares, that all you war gods are full a' hot air!" He slung the club back over his back, before going back on the offensive. Thrusting his spear in a manner where if they hadn't dodged in time, they'd both be caught on the barbs.

Fionn in his own bout was quickly starting to gain the upper hand on Fukurokujo, his blade striking in with far greater might, LEaving the short old deity on the defensive, Until Baizenten played another destructively sharp note, Leading him to hopping out of the way just in time for it to leave a small cut.

Overall, The bout seemed to be at a stalemate, Buddha and the human representatives presenting a greater level of skill and power, But being outnumbered two to one was no help to their side of the fight, Soon enough though, their commotion would catch the ear of Odin, Who appeared with a roar

"That is quite enough!" Those were the words that left his mouth Shaking six of the lucky gods to their core, With only Bishamonten remaining composed.
Among the ones fighting for humanity, Nonee looked bothered in the slightest, Each confident that if this were to re-escalate they'd make it out alive.

Odin would continue.

"Buddha…" His voice was stern and full of anger. But the god of enlightenment would only yawn in response.
"Yeah yeah! You caught me, I heard… I'll accept any punishment you wanna give when this whole shindig is over… " His next words were spoken with a glint in his eye. "Assuming you're alive by the end of it. "
Odin wouldn't respond, The seven lucky gods began to make their retreat…. Their vengeance against the Bhuddha would be done… But it seems they'd have to wait for a better opportunity.

As Odin left without a word, And things calmed down, Kojiro would chuckle.
"I must apologize, It might not have been necessary for me to have helped a god."
Buddha looked at the warrior with a shrug and a smile.
"Well, considering there was no way you could have known whether or not i was on your side for reals, I gotta commend that sense of fair play." He would turn to Fionn. "Hey, Blondie, You mind asking your boss if I can sit in t with you all? Since i got kicked from the gods' team, And the whole 'thirteen battles' ordeal forbids me from taking part, i may as well do something with my time."
"Knowing you, Gautama, You'd just barge into our balcony anyway." Fionn said not really caring one way or another.
"True." Buddha would begin walking off. "Lunch is almost over, You guys finish up your meals, Ya dig? These next few rounds are gonna be interesting, To say the least."

And so, The three representatives for humanity, Would go to watch the fifth round, And, Unfortunately, The second loss for humanity.

As Raiden's head flue, Shiva couldn't help but feel a peng of sadness… The man fought with his whole heart and soul, And his woman stayed right by his side as he died. Meaning she had to go with him…
'Damn' Thought the head of the hindu pantheon. ' EvenI feel like I'm starting to get cold feet. If i known beforehand there was even a single human capable of fighting with such honor and restraint…'

Still, This victory had brought some cheer to the gods, The humans who had proved themselves far greater than they had any right to be finally took their second loss… But to shiva, And the gods in the stands, it began to feel like a shallow victory.

The only thing keeping them in this anymore, was their pride and sense of superiority, to let the Valkyrie and her human pets win would be tantamount to admitting not just that the humans were worthy, But that they were superior to the gods themselves!
Those Divine fighters who remained resolved themselves to keep fighting and finish was they had started.

"No!" Goll cried out as she watched the warrior, and her sister disappear… This wasn't fair! It wasn't supposed to happen!
They won three times in a row! And here Goll was thinking she'd face no more loss after Herakles' death
Brunhilde kept her hand on Goll's shoulder Offering what little comfort she could as her sister wept her eyes out. Fionn sighed. Placing his forehead into the palm of his hand, Ashamed of what his prediction yielded.

"I'm sorry."Said the hero of ireland. "Truly… He was the one with the best chances… But in the end…"He couldn't help but to blame himself for suggesting Tameemon in the first place.
Cu would sigh. He was there with Hilde and Goll when they went to inform him it was his go at things. This is the exact way a man like that would want to go out.
"I said it when I met him and I'll say it once again, That man knew how to live a damn good life!" He would begin to pour some whine into a spare cup"This one's out to you mister sumo."

Buddha looked at those around him, He hadn't too much to add, The solemn mood was certainly warranted, The god himself was hardly in the best of spirits after that display…

Brunhilde gave a loud growl.
"There's no usen in sulking about this." She said Despite the pain being clear in her voice."This is a war for survival, No matter how well we do, the tides of battle can turn in an instant, Casualties are inevitable! So we can't waste time crying our eyes out!"

Those words didn't do anything to raise the spirits of the men. Instead those words boiled the blood of the one they'd least expevt.
"You're right." Came Goll's meak voice. "No more crying… Cu. You said we'd practice… I can't let my big sisters'; sacrifices be in vain!" She said, throat straining from trying to thold the tears back.
"Mm." He would nod. " What around will we be fighting? "He asked, Not to Brunhilde, But to Goll.
She would think for a good long while,
"Of all the gods, The only one of them who's cruel enough to keep a smile on his face despite it all, The loss, The suffering, Injuries and death… . No matter what the round, Whether it be six or thirteen, We're fighting Loki."

Brunhilde would raise a brow, Quite shocked at the thought that Goll , meek as she was, Was willing to fight Loki whom the girl often noted as scary and creepy… Her crush may have lit the spark, But the death of Thrud was the gust of wind that turned it into a proper flame.
Finally, A proper reason to want to fight.

Brunhilde would pull Goll into a one armed hug..
"My little sister… '' She said, making Goll look upto her, a bit confused. "Saying something like that so Adamantly, You've finally become a real Valkyrie…"
"You're saying that like I wasn't before…" Her determination turned into some mild hurt.
"Well! Of course you're one of us Goll! What I mean is… Even if you're not suited to fighting yourself, You're speaking with the resolve of a warrior! And I couldn't be prouder!"
Goll would look as though she was struck by lightning, Before tears and snot began dripping down her face.
"Brunhilde…! You shouldn't say stuff like that!I -I mean i'm glad to hear it! I meant every word I said! But.." She clung to her elder sister into a tight hug, One Brunhilde would return without hesitation.
"I know, You just got done shedding sad tears and now here you are shedding happy ones." Her voice was sweeter than any of the men present were used to.. But hey, there were still sum odd eight rounds left, as well as a strong chance that the ragnarok would end long before then.

With them in the lead, They'd hold onto their hope as few would die as necessary.
