Hello my dear readers! Here I am finally back with a new chapter!

I hope I have not kept you waiting too long and if so then please forgive me!

Now, please enjoy!

Law massaged his temples with his thumb and index finger. A terrible headache had been bothering him all day and he feared that was also part of his weird withdrawal symptoms, like the shaking of his hands. Now that he had finally finished his shift after an exhausting day, despite no major surgeries, he quickly made his way home, because he was in desperate need of his drug: Luffy

The entire working time he had hardly been able to concentrate, since his thoughts circled only around the young firefighter. First he had not been able to sleep and now he could not even concentrate at work. The only thing he wanted right now was to get home as soon as possible and check on Luffy. Law wondered what he was doing at that moment, how he was feeling and what he was thinking about. There wasn't much Luffy could do in the bunker, after all, which Law felt a little bad for. He didn't like letting Luffy languish in the basement, but unfortunately he had no other choice.

On his way home, Law briefly stopped by a small supermarket, where he bought the necessary ingredients for tonight's dinner with Kid. In addition, he packed a few small things to eat and drink, such as cookies, crackers and boxed drinks for Luffy in his shopping cart.

When that was done, his legs led him as fast as they could to his house, where he was very surprised to see their car parked in front of the house gate. The surgeon did not like that at all. With a quick glance at the time, he realized that it was actually much too early for Kid to be home. The redhead usually came home very late and never showed up for dinner, so Law usually ate alone and saved the rest for his boyfriend. That's how it's been for at least the last two years, since Kid switched to his current job.

Law groaned. That was it with his plan to pay Luffy a visit. When Law unlocked the front door and entered, the smell of food immediately hit his nose and strange music blasted from the speakers in the living room. Was that jazz?

Law was amazed when he then went towards the kitchen and saw a fancy set table with candles and rose petals. The lights were also dimmed and together with the music in the background, it made for a very romantic atmosphere. Since when had Kid been such a romantic?

Law was just standing there with his bags in his hands, looking perplexed, when his redheaded friend unexpectedly snuck up behind him and wrapped his arms around his torso. Law flinched in surprise for a moment, then felt Kid place a gentle kiss on his cheek. "Do you like it my darling?" Kid whispered seductively into Law's ear, then broke away from the black haired man again, only to take the grocery bags from Law's hands and set them down on the kitchen counter. Law was at a loss for words and didn't know how to answer so as not to hurt his boyfriend's feelings again.

For the surgeon, the whole thing was way too over the top, it wasn't like it was a special occasion like their anniversary or anything, which is why Law didn't understand the unnecessary fuss. All Law had in mind for tonight was a simple dinner, nothing more, nothing less.

"Well...I thought I was cooking for us today?" Law dodged Kid's question, meanwhile taking a good look at the kitchen, which looked suspiciously clean. Kid wasn't into cooking at all and only knew how to make scrambled eggs or pancakes, so when he decided to cook properly for whatever reason, the kitchen just looked like a battlefield afterwards.

"I figured you might be exhausted from working, so I just ordered food. Pasta and stuff." Kid replied, scratching the back of his head. With that, the mystery of the clean kitchen was revealed. "Oh I see, but what are you doing home so early? I didn't expect you to be home at all." Law asked and took his place at the table, looking critically at the food in front of him.

"I asked my boss to let me leave early today because I wanted to be on time for dinner for once." Kid responded, then took out a wine bottle from the wine rack, only to fill two wine glasses and hand one to Law. "Nice of him." Law said tersely, staring at the glass in his hand before taking a sip. So Kid had finally realized that he always came home late and never had dinner with him. It was just too bad that this realization came a few months too late for Law. It was already too late to make amends, no matter how hard Kid tried to maintain their relationship. It was over. Well, at least for Law.

Dinner, like breakfast in the morning, went quietly. Law wanted nothing more than to get the whole thing over with and finally sneak down to Luffy in the basement. This time, unlike in the morning, he had a plan for how he was going to do it.

Law looked up from his plate at Kid, who was poking at his own food after taking only a bite or two. The redhead kept opening his mouth, but closed it again rather quickly when he changed his mind. Law raised his eyebrow when he noticed Kid's reserved behavior. "Is there maybe something you want to tell me?" Law broke the awkward silence after a while and then took another sip of his wine, studying Kid's face with his eyes.

The redhead finally sighed in resignation and put his fork aside. Then he also looked up from his plate into Law's silver eyes, which shone in the candlelight and looked at him expectantly. Kid hesitated for a while, swallowed the lump in his throat, and gathered up all his courage. "Well, I didn't really want to tell you right now and spoil the mood, but I have to tell you either way." Kid started and his voice sounded so serious that Law thought his boyfriend would break up with him at any moment. The thought alone caused mixed feelings in him. It just felt wrong, but then at least he would be alone with Luffy. But was that really what Law wanted? To be away from Kid? He didn't know the answer to that yet.

Not wanting to beat around the bush, Kid continued. "We got new orders today, which means…I have to go on another business trip this weekend." Kid was afraid to be confronted with Law's reaction, so he averted his gaze from the black haired man again. The redhead knew for sure that Law would be annoyed this time, especially since he had to leave quite often lately. Moreover, he was also aware that these travels did nothing good to their long-standing relationship. But what could he do? Quit his job? It wasn't as if he would be gone forever. It was only for a few days again, so that shouldn't really be a problem.

"It's okay." Law skillfully covered up the excitement that suddenly bubbled up inside him. Rarely had he felt this emotion in his 28 years of life, if ever, and he couldn't believe that this particular young man in his bunker was responsible for it. Even more, he couldn't believe that for the first time he was looking forward to being left alone by his boyfriend.

Kid now dared to look at his friend again and was very surprised at his partner's casual response, as he had not expected it at all. The redhead studied Law's features and a relieved smile came to his lips when he saw that Law's mood didn't seem to have changed, as it usually did.

"You…really think that's okay?" Kid asked, just to make sure he hadn't misheard. Law gave an assuring nod as he brought his wine glass to his lips and drank the rest of it in one go. At that, Kid's smile widened. "Thanks, I promise I won't be gone too long this time, babe"

Law, on the other hand, didn't even get to hear those words anymore, having completely tuned out his counterpart for a moment and his thoughts drifted back to Luffy, while he could feel the alcohol burning with pleasure as it went down his throat. The surgeon could already imagine how nice it would be to be alone and undisturbed with Luffy. Goosebumps ran over his entire body at this thought and gave him another indescribable feeling. All at once Law regained his composure and rose from his seat, so as not to let his cravings show.

"Let's move over to the couch now and watch a movie. I'm really tired from work today." Law suddenly suggested, feigning a yawn. Kid raised an eyebrow in confusion, then looked down at his own food, which he had barely touched, and then back at his boyfriend, who now grabbed his plate and empty wine glass to put both on the kitchen counter near the sink. "What...but are you really full already?" Kid demanded, then swiftly shoveled a few more forkfuls of pasta into his mouth before following Law with his dishes.

"Yeah, I'm not really hungry today." Law lied, just wanting to get the cheesy dinner over with quickly. "And besides, I wanted to leave some room for the snacks and stuff I got from the grocery store earlier." Law added, taking Kid's plate to put all the leftover pasta in a box to be eaten at a later time.

Kid eyed Law skeptically from the side, while he finished his wine. He had the sinking feeling that it was his own fault, why his boyfriend suddenly had no appetite and that Law was only pretending not to mind that he would soon be gone again for a while. Kid was aware that Law had never been the affectionate person as a boyfriend, but he knew the surgeon far too well and realized that his behavior since he had returned was not normal and with tonight's dinner it became clear to Kid once again.

Kid opened his mouth to ask Law about his unusual behavior, but closed it again when he decided to shrug it off for now. Then the redhead's gaze fell on the two grocery bags he had put aside earlier and decided to put the contents away to help Law, who was washing the dishes, at least a little. To do this, he put his empty wine glass aside, but just as he reached for one of the two bags, he was suddenly stopped by Law's hand, still wet from washing the dishes.

"Wait, honey, I can do that. In the meantime, you can go sit on the sofa and pick a movie for us." Law tried not to look conspicuous and he slightly lifted the corners of his mouth when Kid looked at him puzzled, surprised at such a quick, almost panicked, reaction from Law. "Oh...alright honey." Kid replied reluctantly, thinking nothing more of it. "I'll go and see what movies are out there, but don't be long, okay?"

Kid gently cupped Law's cheek with one hand before kissing him on the lips and then left him alone in the kitchen, hoping that at least their time together watching TV would go better. Law exhaled quietly in relief as he then watched Kid make himself comfortable on the couch and turned his attention to the two bags himself. Law put the contents of one bag of food he had actually planned to cook into the fridge, while he stashed the other bag in one of the cupboards, after taking a pack of crackers and chips out of it, since the rest was meant for Luffy.

When that was done, the surgeon finally got to the best part. He grabbed two beer bottles from the fridge and nimbly opened them with the bottle opener. With a quick glance over his shoulder at Kid, Law fished a small plastic packet with a white powder out of his right pocket and emptied the entire contents into one of the bottles. This should ensure that the redhead would fall asleep in no time.

The black haired man couldn't help grinning, grabbed the two bottles together with the snacks and finally joined his boyfriend, who had snuggled into the blanket in the meantime. Kid smiled at Law and made room for the surgeon, as he then gratefully accepted the beer bottle that Law held out to him. "Thanks honey." Then the black haired man dropped exhausted on the sofa next to Kid and leaned back with a groan, taking a sip from his bottle. "So, have you decided on a movie yet?" Law asked as Kid rested his head on his shoulder and nodded firmly.

"It's supposed to be a dramatic love story." Kid chuckled, knowing full well that Law didn't like such movies. He squinted over at his boyfriend as he chugged down almost half of his beer bottle, amused at the grimace Law was making. "Do we have to see this one?" Law moaned, rubbing his temple. Kid set his bottle back down and rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. "Uhm, there wasn't a better one so..."

"Well, whatever." Said Law, kissing Kid's hair and putting his arm around the redhead, which only made Kid snuggle up to him even more. Law rolled his eyes, not caring what movie it was, since his boyfriend was going to fall asleep at any moment anyway.

He could hardly wait to finally go down to Luffy. Law already felt the urge to see the young man, to touch him, to feel his closeness became unbearable again. Unusually, this time the urge was accompanied by a different, but uncomfortable feeling. The surgeon was aware that he had left Luffy alone for far too long, and with a quick glance at the time on his phone, his eyes widened. It was already 7 p.m. Law squinted impatiently at his boyfriend on his shoulder and was lucky to see that Kid's eyes were already closed and a light snore told Law that the redhead had fallen asleep. Faster than expected.

Praising himself for using a large dose of sleeping pills, he wrapped both arms around Kid's body and carefully laid his head on the opposite side of the couch on the armrest. Making sure Kid was sound asleep, he rose from the couch with one last look at his boyfriend's face and made his way to the kitchen first. From there he took out the bag from earlier to take it with him downstairs to the bunker.

Before Law made his way to Luffy, he toyed uncertainly with the idea of carrying Kid into the bedroom, but quickly discarded the thought so as not to lose any more time. Luffy was his priority now and he would not let anything else stop him. In addition, the bad feeling from earlier grew more and more, which filled Law's stomach with cold dread.

The surgeon hoped that this feeling was only related to the conscience that he had neglected Luffy for too long, rather than that it was actually something serious. Law's hand trembled as he tried to unlock the door to the bunker, his heart hammering in his chest.

But the sight that presented itself to him when he finally stood in front of Luffy, made his heart skip a beat in shock. Law broke out in a cold sweat as he was transfixed when he saw Luffy leaning against the tiled wall with his eyes closed and covered in blood. Then his widened eyes fell on the bloody scalpel next to him.

"Luffy?!" Law exclaimed in panic as he broke free of his rigidity and rushed to the young firefighter's side.

To his relief, Law recognized the rise and fall of Luffy's chest, albeit faintly, but his heart almost stopped as he took the black haired man's dainty bloody wrist in his hand and saw the multiple cuts along his wrist. Before Law had a chance to shake him awake, Luffy let out a weak moan and lifted his heavy eyelids in the next instant. Much to Law's relief.

"Luffy? Hey, can you hear me?" Law asked, his voice shaking uncontrollably as he lifted Luffy's face to look into his unfocused eyes. Luffy blinked a few times to clear his vision and after a short while was able to make out the doctor's worried features. Strange. Actually, Luffy had imagined that his captor would actually be pleased to find him in this state, but he recognized nothing but fear and apprehension in those silver eyes that stared into his orbs as if they were looking into his soul.

Luffy moaned in pain as the doctor pressed his hand on the wound on his wrist, not taking his eyes off him. Law was relieved that he had appeared just in time, as he could tell by the amount of blood Luffy had lost that it must not have been too long ago when he had inflicted the wounds. If he had been a few minutes late...Law shuddered at the horrible thought.

"Let go of me!" Luffy hissed weakly in a hoarse voice, which still sounded threatening enough, and tugged his wrist out of the other's grip. Law gave him a startled look, but did not flinch, aware of how serious the wounds were and needed immediate treatment.

"Are you crazy? Why did you even do that?" Law scolded, as Luffy still glared at him with hatred, cradling his injured wrist to his chest. "That's none of your business! Leave me alone!" Luffy retorted, putting a little distance between himself and the doctor by dragging himself away from him with some effort.

However, Law did not let up and remained persistent. "Your wounds must be treated immediately, or you might die from blood loss!" The older tried to persuade Luffy, but he seemed to be more stubborn than expected. Law snorted in frustration.

"What if that's what I want? Why do you care?" Spat Luffy back, feeling the blood loss starting to get to him as he suddenly felt a bit dizzy.

Law's breath caught at these words. It pained him to hear these words from Luffy's mouth, despite the terrible things he had experienced. It just didn't fit him. This morning he was still so attached to life and wanted nothing more than to be released, so what had happened in the last few hours that had changed so drastically? From the joy of life that Luffy once radiated and that Law had admired so much about him was no trace left.

"Forget it, I won't let you die! So show me your wrist now!" It was not Law's intention to get louder, however, his opposite gave him no other choice. "No...fuck off or-" Luffy's gaze suddenly fell on the scalpel he had carelessly dropped to the side and rapidly reached for it again. "Stay away from me or I won't hesitate to hurt you!" Luffy warned, threateningly holding the scalpel out to Law with his trembling right hand.

Even this did not stop Law from coming closer to Luffy, whereupon the older man suddenly knocked the scalpel out of the young man's hand and in the next moment grabbed Luffy by the shoulders and pushed him against the ground. Luffy's head hit the hard floor painfully, causing him to see stars for a moment, and he found himself gripped tightly by his captor, who sat above him with both hands on either side of his arms.

Law came dangerously close to Luffy's face, his breath brushing his skin, and he looked deep into Luffy's eyes with a steady gaze that sent a chill down Luffy's spine. Startled by Law's action, Luffy looked up at him, his vision blurring every now and then.

"Listen, if you don't obey me, I'll personally tie you to that stretcher over there and treat your wounds in a forced way, is that what you want?" Law expressed himself in a menacing tone as he strengthened his grip on Luffy's arms at the same time, which drew a pained sound from the raven haired.

There was that intimidating something again that emanated from the older man that Luffy couldn't describe. From his eyes, he could tell that the doctor was damn serious. For some reason inexplicable to Luffy, his captor wouldn't let him die. But why? Who was this man and what did he want from him if he didn't want to kill him?

At that moment, Luffy had no choice but to nod in obedience, even though it went against his grain.

Law then let go of Luffy again, but remained sitting over him for a moment. "That's it, there you go." Law said with a satisfied smile and took a deep breath to calm his racing heartbeat again. The whole stressful situation along with the position he was in was doing him anything but good, and he wondered why he was able to keep himself under control at all. Law probably had his doctor's instinct to thank for this, which now made him act again by getting off Luffy to carefully help him up.

"You okay?" Law questioned as Luffy's legs nearly gave way, wrapping the young firefighter's arm over his own shoulder as he put his hand around Luffy's thin waist, supporting him.

"Y-Yeah, just a bit dizzy..." Luffy mumbled in response and, with Law's help, allowed himself to be led to the metal stretcher, where he then sat down carefully, letting his legs dangle over the edge, with the shackle on his leg still attached.

"Here, take this and press on the wound as hard as you can." Instructed Law as he placed a sterile gauze compress over Luffy's injured wrist to at least begin to stop the bleeding until he gathered the necessary materials. Luffy silently did as he was told, wincing as he applied pressure to his wounds with the strength he still had. He watched Law curiously as he hurriedly got ready to treat him.

Luffy still didn't know what to make of this man. First he kidnapped him, tied him up and locked him in this mysterious room with only a little food and no toilet, as if he completely despised him. And now it seemed very important to him to keep him alive. How weird.

For Luffy, the man seemed for the first time like the doctor from the hospital, instead of a creepy pervert, now that he was completely in his doctor mode. When Law had finally gathered his utensils and placed them on a small silver tray, he turned again to Luffy, who was still eyeing him suspiciously.

"You better lie down, you can barely hold yourself up." The surgeon advised but Luffy hesitated and initially refused to follow. The youger didn't trust this stranger one bit, because what if he actually tied him up, as he had mentioned earlier, and did God knows what to him once he was immobilized?

But despite the trust issues with the doctor, Luffy was more or less forced to lie down by the dizzy spells that overcame him. Actually, he did not care from this point on, what happened to him, after all, he had just almost taken his own life, even if unintentionally.

Once Luffy lay down and was forced to stretch his arm towards Law, the surgeon did not hold back and immediately began the treatment. "This may hurt a bit, but don't you dare move your arm." Explained Law, giving Luffy a warning look. Luffy nodded slightly as a sign that he understood, masking the fear that was spreading through him as he turned his head away from the other in the next moment.

Law tried to suppress the inappropriate thoughts that circled around in his head, triggered by the sight of Luffy right in front of him, completely weak and helpless. The many things he could do to him in this condition drove him to the brink of madness and everything in him screamed to touch him, to feel him, to mark him as his own. This urge did not subside even as he rolled the black haired man's blood-soaked sleeve upward to expose the wound completely. A tingling sensation went through Law's body as his fingers carefully and gently made contact with Luffy's soft pale skin, which was stained with his warm sticky blood.

A slight gasp that came over Luffy's lips snapped him back to reality and he cursed himself for letting his cravings get the better of him. Quickly recomposing himself, he took the slightly damp rag he had prepared and used it to wipe away the excess blood, making the injuries underneath more visible. Relieved that the bleeding had almost subsided and the actual cuts were not too deep, he laid the now blood-soaked rag aside.

Luffy had clenched his teeth tightly due to the burning pain, so as not to make a sound or even show any kind of weakness towards his captor. But when Law disinfected the cuts thoroughly in the next step, he almost tore his arm away from the doctor out of reflex, but with all the willpower he could muster he managed to keep his arm in position and only clenched his fist so that his fingertips dug deep into his palm. Luffy bit down hard on his lower lip just in time before a scream escaped his throat. Despite the doctor's warning, Luffy had not expected such a hellish pain, but he tried hard to remain brave and squeezed his eyes shut. Law noticed Luffy's distress, which made him feel a sting in his chest, but there was nothing he could do about it but speed up his actions to finish the treatment as quickly as possible.

"I know it's not easy, but it's going to be okay. You're doing fine." Law tried to reassure Luffy, which didn't really sound like himself at all, and then picked up the needle to stitch the wounds. "S-Shut u-up…a-and finish it a-already." Luffy said through clenched teeth and scowled at Law. The surgeon could see how the young man was already trembling with exertion and beads of sweat had formed on his forehead, slowly rolling down his pale face. Law unconsciously ran the tip of his tongue over his dry lips as a completely different scenario played out just before his eyes at the arousing sight. But he managed to pull himself together again rapidly when his eyes met Luffy's spiteful ones.

Luffy then turned his head away from his captor again and prepared himself inwardly for the next pain that the needle punctures would inflict on him. He wished that he would finally lose consciousness so that he could put this all behind him without having to endure this agony, although the pain in his heart was much worse and would ache continuously forever. He would probably never be able to escape those unbearably aching wounds. Almost. Almost he would have made it, however this hero, who was also his kidnapper and made him suffer additionally, had to save him.

"Why?" Luffy grumbled, barely intelligible, but audible enough to be picked up by Law's ears. Law was almost finished closing the wounds with his deft nimble fingers when he looked up at Luffy's face, who had turned back in his direction, looking firmly into his eyes. "What do you mean why?" Law demanded cluelessly, almost getting lost in Luffy's onyx orbs that reflected his sorrow, which Law himself knew all too well. But the surgeon managed with effort to avert his eyes and to devote himself again to the last sutures.

"Why are you saving me? Why didn't you just let me die?" Luffy expressed himself more clearly this time, the pain evident in his quavering voice, as if he was almost on the verge of crying.

A grin appeared on Law's lips, but he didn't give Luffy an answer as he finished stitching the wounds and examined his work, running his fingers gently over it. This elicited a soft gasp from the owner of the wrist, who was still waiting for an answer to his questions. Quickly, Luffy pulled his wrist away from the surgeon and straightened his upper body. The dizziness that hit Luffy full force made him immediately regret this action and he closed his eyes for a moment while rubbing his forehead at the same time.

"After all that blood loss, you better slow down." Law chuckled in amusement, which earned him a venomous look from Luffy, who found the whole situation anything but funny.

"Shut up and...and stop that !" Luffy growled, following his counterpart with his angry gaze as he walked over to the sink with the utensils to wash the blood off his hands. "Stop what ?" Law asked, not knowing what Luffy might be alluding to.

"Stop staring at me like I'm..." Luffy trailed off and his breath caught as Law turned to him all at once, his face so close to his that Luffy could feel the other's hot breath.

"And if I don't?" Countered Law, teasing Luffy. "J-Just stop!" Luffy repeated hesitantly, snorting in frustration. Law chuckled again in delight at Luffy's behavior and approached his ear, brushing his nose against it. "You're really cute, you know that?" Law whispered, causing Luffy to unwittingly blush in embarrassment. Law himself could not believe that these words had crossed his lips, as he had lost control for just a second, but he did not regret it.

"W-What...I'm n-not!" Luffy replied indignantly and pushed Law away in disgust, ignoring the stinging pain in his left wrist. But the surgeon was not so easily dissuaded and he grabbed Luffy firmly by both arms, which had just pushed him away, causing Luffy to gasp in surprise. Again, Luffy wondered at his captor's reflexes. How could he be so fast? The younger hissed painfully as Law intentionally applied some pressure to his freshly stitched wounds.

"I wouldn't do that again if I were you. When are you going to stop resisting me? I told you I wouldn't hurt you unless..." Law paused and approached Luffy's face again as he looked deep into his dark eyes. "You disobey me." Law grinned as he stroked his right thumb over Luffy's wound in a sort of apologetic way.

Luffy nodded and finally gave in to resist his kidnapper, as he simply lacked the strength to do so. The young firefighter realized that no matter how much he tried to fight him and appear threatening, it did not work. Luffy finally had to admit to himself that he had no chance and therefore no choice but to obey this man.

"There you go." Law grinned contentedly, releasing Luffy's right arm while still holding his left to check the stitches.

"I'll have to put a bandage on it to keep dirt out of it until it heals properly." Switching back into doctor mode, Law briefly turned away from Luffy to fetch some bandages from the cupboard. Luffy just let it pass silently and watched Law as he gently wrapped the bandage around his wrist.

"Why did you save me?" Luffy suddenly repeated his unanswered question from earlier, interrupting the awkward silence. Law smirked again, but this time gave his answer as Luffy didn't seem to let up. "Simply because you're mine now, and I don't want to let you die." Luffy opened his mouth to object, but quickly closed it again when he caught Law's intense gaze, which still kept him from doing anything wrong. He remembered the doctor's words from yesterday. His captor wanted himfor whatever purposes. Luffy grimaced disgustedly.

"I think the better question would be, why did you want to die?" The question caught Luffy off guard and he considered answering at all, after all his personal affairs were none of this stranger's business. Law, who could already imagine the answer, sighed after a while when he realized that no response would come from the raven haired man.

"I didn't mean to...it was an a-accident." Luffy finally muttered and gulped nervously, looking down at his lap sadly. Law's eyebrows raised in surprise, as he had not expected such an answer. "I see..." Law then said and decided by Luffy's depressed expression not to ask further.

Just as he finished putting on Luffy's bandage, a loud rumbling growl was suddenly heard, plainly coming from Luffy's stomach. Instinctively, Luffy put his hand on his belly and blushed deeply in embarrassment. Law just chuckled at Luffy's cute reaction. "Come on, I've brought some snacks and drinks for you." Law told the young man, then helped him back to his original place on the floor and grabbed the bag he had dropped earlier.

Luffy watched his captor expectantly as he emptied the contents of the bag in front of him. But instead of getting something decent to eat that would satiate his protesting stomach, all he was served was a few crackers, chips and fruit juices.

"That...is all?" Luffy asked in bewilderment when he stared at the little bit of food in front of him. Was the man joking with him?

However, Luffy was far too hungry and still lacked any strength to protest against it, so he immediately grabbed a pack of crackers and a boxed juice and began consuming. "I know it's not enough, but tomorrow morning I'll bring you something decent for breakfast." Law promised the young firefighter, who just looked at him with an incredulous look as he continued to stuff the crackers into his mouth.

Then Law turned away from Luffy, picked up the scalpel he had knocked out of Luffy's hand from the floor and put it in his back pocket, and next went over to the sink. There he threw the used utensils into the now empty bag in his hand and searched the cabinets and drawers for other dangerous items. Law cursed himself for not thinking of it before and carelessly leaving behind a scalpel that Luffy had used and almost killed himself with. Even if that hadn't happened, Luffy would have had the chance to use the sharp object against him. How could Law have been so damn careless? He had never felt so stupid in his entire life.

When Law was done, he looked around the room again to make sure he hadn't forgotten anything and finally decided to go back upstairs to Kid, hoping that he was still fast asleep.

"Well then, I have to go now, but I'll be back in the morning, so don't worry." Law spoke as he turned to Luffy once more. He didn't like having to leave the young man again and if he could, he would want to spend the entire night here with him, which unfortunately wasn't possible.

"W-Wait, you're leaving already?" Luffy asked as he was already finished with his crackers, clearly not satiated yet. Law only nodded, but noticed something about Luffy's oddly uncertain look. "Is there anything else?" Law inquired, raising an eyebrow. Luffy turned his gaze to the ground as he hesitated for a while. "T-There's a problem...I...I really need to pee."

Law just blinked at Luffy as if he had said the most abnormal thing ever. The surgeon felt like a stupid moron again. He had never thought this problem through, hell he hadn't planned anything at all before he brought Luffy here. All he had thought about was having Luffy with him, but he hadn't considered the problems that might occur. Law bit the inside of his cheek as he desperately searched for a short term solution to this problem, as it was absolutely too risky for him to bring Luffy upstairs to the bathroom. The surgeon looked around the room searchingly until he spotted a bucket on one of the cabinets.

Luffy watched him curiously, as his kidnapper then stood in the next moment in front of him with a bucket. Luffy looked irritated at the object in the hands of the man and he did not know whether he felt like crying or laughing. It really couldn't get any more ridiculous with this doctor and if the little snacks weren't a joke, this definitely had to be.

"A bucket? You're joking, right?" Luffy asked incredulously, while Law, however, made no pretense of joking. In fact, he was being serious. The surgeon himself was not proud of it, either, but did he have any other choice?

"I'm sorry, but you're going to have to make do with this until tomorrow morning." Law put down the bucket and approached Luffy, who gave him another venomous look. Law hated being looked at by him like that and just couldn't stand it, but he had to be patient. Very soon this would change, he was sure. Law bent down to him and reluctantly lifted his slightly shaky hand and cupped Luffy's tender cheek, stroking it with his thumb.

"I'm so sorry, my little darling."

Luffy was disgusted and just seethed with anger again as he quickly reacted and slapped his captor's hand away. Law felt a pang in his chest.

"Don't touch me!" Luffy hissed, at which Law pulled his hand away and clenched it into a fist. But at that very moment, a certain redhead's voice rang out, calling for Law.

"Honey, where are you?"

"Shit!" Law cursed under his breath as he quickly stood back up. Luffy was only surprised and confused at the same time as he watched the man hurriedly move away from him. "H-Hey, who is that?" Luffy inquired, but his question went unanswered as Law made his way to the door with quick steps.

"I'll see you tomorrow." Those were Law's last words before he walked out of the room, leaving behind a distraught Luffy who slumped back against the wall without taking his eyes off the direction Law had disappeared in.

Here he was again, all alone. Luffy's gaze fell on the bucket in front of him and once again he couldn't believe it. When would he finally wake up from this nightmare he was in? Absently, he kept running his fingers over the bandage on his left wrist, thinking about how he wasn't even allowed to die to escape all this hell. Or maybe he had died in reality and this was his personal hell, where Ace and Marco would also appear at any moment.

Shivers suddenly wrecked Luffy's body and he decided to lie down, as it was too strenuous for him to sit upright. He curled up into a ball and wrapped his arms around his torso, hoping that it would warm him, if only a little. In his mind, he cursed the doctor, who, to make matters worse, also made him freeze. Luffy suspected that if he had asked for a blanket, he would have gotten a garbage bag or something similar instead.

Despite the urge to relieve himself, Luffy couldn't find the strength to get up and do it, and his eyelids, which had become heavy, began to fall shut. So there he lay, freezing on the blood-stained floor, matching his equally bloody clothes. And finally after a few minutes, Luffy stopped fighting fatigue and let sleep take over his senses.
