So sad face, I was going to quit fanfics, but I want to give it a try to mix this and my og works... I love the community of fanfics, so ... yeah. I loved this story so I came back to it...I love it's needed indulgence and it's compassion.
If you have suggestions, feel free to share.
I am up on Amazon under Mika Mathews with an og story called The Silver Coin.
I am also on Youtube under Author Mika Mathews... I am trying to build my author platform, it's hard ...
"... and the Second Hokage made the Academy and ANBU, a few of several contributions to the village." Naruto felt the room looking at him in shock, he felt smug but cautious, people were mean and he knew they would accuse him of cheating without hesitation.
Iruka gaped at him. "How did you know that?"
"My brother has been helping me study."
"You're an orphan, Naruto..."
Naruto frowned. "So are lot's of people, I was adopted by Michael so he's my brother. He helped me study since no one else could be bothered to care for me, too busy hating me for no good reason."
Several people, most Iruka though, cringed. "I am sorry about that, Naruto... I guess this Michael is doing a good job."
"He is, the best." Naruto sat down, huffing a little, hating the looks of shock around him. He wasn't stupid, never had been, but only through studying with Michael had he realized how smart he could be. He just needed some help. Some Guidance, not just filled with hate and neglect. He was going to be the best, and no one could stop him and then maybe he could give to Michael all he had been given by him...
That would be nice.

"What is this secret you wanted to show me?" Naruto asked, as Michael led him to a distant training field. Naruto was excited, Michael had never let him down before so this had to be something epic. Michael turned to him, smirking, before walking up the side of a tree without his freaking hands! "How did you do that?"
"With chakra, which is what I am teaching you to do. It will help with your chakra control, which should in theory help you with the clone jutsu. Lay on your back, put your feet on the tree and let your chakra out to stick to the tree. Do this for a bit to get used to the sensation of sticking. Once you are good enough at that, you can work on running and them walking up the tree."
Naruto beamed, excited. "That's so cool!" He did as he was told and slowly stuck his feet to the tree.
"More pressure!" Michael said once. "Focus on your left foot more. Breathe more." These tips helped and slowly Naruto managed to run up the tree by the time the sun started to set.
"I did it!" He threw himself at Michael, who shockingly caught him and pulled him into the warmest of hugs.
"Yes, you did it kiddo. Now... let's try walking up the tree. If you manage that, I'll show you how to walk on water."

"Impressive, that will help Naruto quite a bit. " Hiruzen said, watching Naruto and Michael as they trained hard to get Naruto to master the surface clinging technique. It was interesting, to see where a simple introduction of love could take Naruto and help him overcome the failings of the world around him. It broke his heart to wonder and realize that if Naruto had simply been given such a thing from the beginning. "We really failed you, Naruto, I am so sorry, my boy. Minato, Kushina... we... we really failed you all.
In a simple month Naruto had committed no pranks, shown incredible growth academically, and is happier than ever. We failed him and one simple boy has started to heal what we all failed to even see... sigh."
"""
Michael shook, hating the pain of heat in his lungs. "Why are you making me run Naruto?"
Naruto beamed. "I want you healthy, and happy. You said it yourself, working out is good for you!"
Groaning, Michael nodded. "You're not wrong, brat... let's continue on our trek..."
And so they went on for another mile before Michael was forced to stop and walk the rest of the way. He simply was not athletic in any body, but his boy was right he needed to get better and he wanted to be at his best for Naruto so that was that.

"Hello, you must be Michael." Iruka said, looking at the boy chattering with Naruto as they walked towards the Academy. Naruto looked at Michael as if he hung the sun in the skies and Michael looked at Naruto like he was the nourishing oceans. Like they could not live without each other. It was haunting, but Iruka knew the isolation of being an orphan, something Naruto had magnified by a million.
Michael turned to him, smiling. "Yes, that would be me."
Iruka smiled back. "He said you were helping him study, he is showing to be far better academically, I just wanted to let you know you are doing good work."
Michael pulled Naruto into a side hug. "He's my only family, my best friend, anything to help him makes me happy. Now I got to go, work and all that. Behave Naruto, I'll pick you up after school. We have the water walking exercise to work on tonight."
"That's too advanced!" Iruka barked.
"Naruto can already climb trees."
Iruka gaped. "How?"
"Naruto is really smart, he just needs direction and gudiance, something no one has ever given him. Now, if that is all, I got to go." He kissed Naruto's spikey hair then hurried away, leaving Iruka to looked at Naruto in shock.
Naruto smirked. "I am going to master the clone jutsu cause of him,... believe it.
Chapter end, tell me what you think in the reviews.
This was a joy to write.
