Mediziner's Notes: Finally... FINALLY THIS IS DONE! I had originally finished the Epilogue back on the 18th of January this year so sorry this took a very long time to get uploaded. But I can finally bring this super lengthy chapter officially to a close! Just a heads up, the Epilogue is mostly just like the Prequel which mainly focuses on Radiant Prism herself, but also has some of the German Division BPs focused as well. I admit, this was my hardest part to write, since I had to do a lot of looking up on things, and then going back to some chapters to sort of help get my motivation juices up... Which fluctuated between having a little, having a lot, or having none at all for days.
I won't lie, I'm a bit stunned that this chapter has become the largest Brave Police story in existence, being over 300k words. I never really noticed until when I wanted to browse other peoples' works, and saw it labeled there. But hey, if you're one of the few who liked reading my poor attempt at a chapter, thanks for reading the whole thing. ^^;
The Leader Within Cover Art is drawn and commissioned by Erilmadith-Everyoung on DeviantART. You can also find Radiant Prism's full reference there, too.
Enjoy!

'How long has it been since I've been out...? I can barely remember. I could only remember defeating Bruno yet I fear my memory continues to wane the longer I'm in suspension... I only vaguely remember a lot of things... I remember I ran away from someone, someone who wanted to get rid of me, yet I wanted to live... I met unknown faces, not from my country... But another world... Where was I from again?' Radiant Prism's consciousness floated lazily among a black void, she couldn't hear or see anything, let alone hear her own voice. She'd try to 'reach' out but nothing happened, or check if she had any legs, but nothing. She wasn't sure what exactly happened, and the memories were hazy. She'd been constantly working on trying to remember, but it felt like all was a blur that left her wondering if what happened in these memories were true or not. A part of her wondered if she was dead, and that she was nothing more than either a good or bad memory to whatever life she had lived. From what little she remembered, she wondered if she was good, or bad.
If she were evil, wouldn't she have been destroyed? Or would whatever force held her from barely remembering anything kept her in storage for whatever plans they had for her? If she had an arm, she would reach out, wanting to call out to whoever she barely remembered, if she had a mouth.
'I want to live...'
Radiant Prism struggled even further to try and remember, but no matter how much strength she put into trying, she felt she was getting nowhere.
'I want to live!'
Mentally cursing to herself, Radiant Prism 'gritted' her teeth, if she had them. Being unable to see or feel was something she couldn't recall if she had these things. She had the feeling of wanting to get back up, even if she lacked any form of limbs. She told herself to get back up, and jump right back into the fight, whether it was for good or evil. Sound could suddenly be heard, but couldn't identify what they were, as they were muffled and barely audible.
'Who's there?' She called out, yet the sound did not change nor shift. She had to focus, pause and listen to try and make things out. Things were starting to clear up, and she could identify multiple male voices. Radiant Prism wasn't sure what was going on, nor was she sure about what they talked about. She never had time to process everything, as everything around her began to change. The voices were more audible, and she could make them out. These voices were familiar to her.
"We just need to wait for Radiant Prism to wake up." One voice said.
'They know my name...?' Radiant Prism thought to herself, bemused at this. 'How- Wait, I remember this one's voice... Ringo Diamond King of the Scotland Yard-'
"She should be back online soon, we just need to let her reconfigure herself." Another said.
'That voice... Redlight, was it?'
Redlight had been focused on the monitor displays hooked to the dock that Radiant Prism rested on, everything had just about almost reconfigured itself fully and sure enough, the faint glow was becoming evident of her just about to come online. "Everyone, she's about to wake." He called out to King and Deckerd, who quickly returned to await Radiant Prism's awakening. Just a few minutes later that she was finally awake, her optics going from a dark green to a bright green.
The three Prides smiled. "Welcome back, Radiant Prism." Redlight greeted.
"I'm... Awake? Wasn't I supposed to be... Deactivated? The Bundeswehr- My last task as Brave Police was to stop him before I would be dismantled." Radiant Prism leaned up slightly, a servo to her helm. "I feel like I'm trying to remember things, but I don't know what I'm trying to remember..."
"That's the side effect of being put in stasis for about two years." Redlight frowned as Deckerd and King joined him, greeting her in German. "The Bundeswehr are quite stubborn when it came to winning back your freedom. We worked hard to prove that you're nothing like those hideous Chieftains, considering those monsters are classified as Black-Market Super A.I."
"What- Two years!? I was out for... Two years?" Radiant Prism leaned back into her dock. "Redlight, I thought that they had me deactivated." Her expression turned into a pained one. "I still don't remember much at all aside from my last task, and no matter how much I tried... Unless the Bundeswehr poked and prodded me with things to make me forget nearly everything. I-I really don't know." Radiant Prism curled up, becoming afraid that they could have experimented on her in terrifying, painless ways that she somehow might have not been able to detect.
"Easy, Radiant Prism. No one did such a thing. If anything, when we were fighting for your life in court. I had Shadowmaru and Kagerou see to it that they wouldn't try anything sneaky behind our backs." Deckerd pointed out.
King spoke. "You might be surprised about something they discovered when they did attempt to do that."
Radiant Prism lowered her helm. "So, they did attempt to do something to my-"
"They couldn't get anything out of you." King interrupted her. "Because... Well, there was no data."
"No data!?" Radiant Prism snapped her attention at King. "How could this be!? We need data to function! Otherwise we're-"
"Because, like me, you've developed an actual living soul." Deckerd explained, turning his attention to Redlight, as if he'd forgotten something. "Actually, let me correct myself... You and Redlight developed an actual soul."
"A... Soul? But how? How did... How did we achieve this?" Radiant Prism was confused, looking at her own servos as she continued. "My memories are slowly coming back to me, but I don't remember this in particular."
Redlight spoke up next, placing a servo on the aerial Brave's shoulder. "I could be wrong, as I'm not sure when it happened. I think when we both fought for our lives- You saving me from Bruno's grasp. I think it might be from the moment we combined into Aerial Streamline. I felt a surge of change when we fought alongside the others. I'd hope you noticed, but unfortunately the Bundeswehr did step in at the wrong time and you couldn't process this... my Super AI now appears blank to most scans. It is something still relatively new to the both of us, even if two years have gone by." Redlight paused for a moment to think, then backed up. "Can you walk?"
Radiant Prism frowned, she couldn't quite feel her limbs. Perhaps it could be as what Redlight told her, having to adjust to a 'soul' as he called. It would be something that could take a while. She pondered how did Redlight handle this himself, or if he didn't feel any change. She slowly managed to heave herself off of the dock, but collapsed forward, Redlight quickly stepping forward to catch her. "I don't think I can..." She told him with a frown. "I feel like I have no body except for a head."
"How odd..." King frowned. "Deckerd, did you experience this when you?"
"No, I didn't feel anything out of place. I could move all of my limbs just fine." Replied Deckerd, pondering for a moment to figure out why it was different for Radiant Prism. "I think... Hm, Radiant Prism considering she was originally a Black-Market Super A.I., it's possible Bruno might have made a lot of alternations that closely mimicked or simulated parts of a genuine Super A.I., considering they're impossible to replicate without using the tools only the police have in the station- And with the proper instructions that are only in books, to keep criminals from hacking our computer systems. In other words, I think that because her Super A.I. functions differently but still looked legitimate enough to the naked optic that this could be why." The blue coloured Brave shook his helm. "Call me strange, but with all that modified programming gone would mean she'll have to re-learn how to walk, and perform basic tasks again in a similar manner to how people need to learn to walk after a traumatic injury. As for flight? I cannot say, I can't exactly fly outside of my combined form. She'll need to have a fellow aerial help her re-learn the art of flight."
Radiant Prism cursed to herself, trying to walk but struggled to support herself. In a sense, her instinct to survive was kicking almost into full gear. Redlight managed to calm her down when he sensed that she was starting to panic. "Gustav might still be at large." Radiant Prism struggled. "H-He's-"
"Long since arrested, Radiant Prism." Redlight finished. "We thought he had died, but it turns out that the slimy bastard managed to survive Bruno destroying him. Oh, and those three criminals you defeated back in Japan are also back into jail after Bruno's demise, this time in a more reinforced cell so no one can try to bust them out a second time. Now, if I can direct your attention to something else... There's someone I'd like for you to meet." He turned his helm to call out for someone to come out after he'd helped Radiant Prism back onto the dock.
"Who is it that I should meet-" Radiant Prism ceased when King and Deckerd stepped aside, along with Redlight so that she could see a Brave that roughly looked familiar.
"Hey Radiant Prism, nice to finally meet you! Name's BP 781, otherwise just call me Requiem." Requiem greeted, his voice echoing as he was singing his words out. "I am the- Well, was the leader of the Western Division of Germany." When Radiant Prism looked at him confused, he shook his helm. "You're the original leader of this group, believe it or not. Redlight showed me recordings of your earliest memories and you might've seen our... Well, call it Super A.I.-less bodies." As it came back to Radiant Prism, he nodded in further confirming that yes, he was one of the Braves that were going to be given life, put on standby for the longest time, when Gustav had plans to destroy her afterwards, rather than keep her around after her failure years ago. "But in case you might ask, I don't want to be a leader anymore because... I've long accepted that you're the one who leads us, even when I've worked hard these past two years. I'm ready to pass the mantle onto you."
Radiant Prism intended to protest that she wasn't going to take that from him. Requiem smirked, bringing up his microphone. "Ah ah, sorry Radiant Prism but it's how things will be." Requiem danced as he continued to sing his words out. "I agreed the moment Redlight told me that you were to take lead, and assigned me to have everything ready for when he, and the two foreign leaders here succeeded in fighting for your right to live." Requiem smiled. "There is no backing out, only going forward and you're the spearhead of it all! I must ask, would you want to hurt Redlight's feelings that you refused?"
"...I would appreciate it if you talked normally rather than sing." Radiant Prism sighed in slight annoyance. "It's getting annoying, and I would never want to disobey Redlight's orders..."
"Once you've regained your ability to walk and move around again, I recommend heading back to Dortmund to meet the rest of your team, Radiant Prism." Redlight told Radiant Prism as he backed up. "Deckerd, King and I have some unfinished business to conclude, so we'll leave you two alone to talk and get to know one another. Requiem, perhaps update Radiant Prism on what she's missed over the past two years. it would help her further regain her memories considering how long she's been out and help her back if she hasn't fully recovered her full movement."
"Yes sir! Will do!" Requiem sung in response.
...
"...And so, now we have the Australian Division, Russian Division, American Division, and most recently... Or close to recently, the Canadian Division. There's still other teams rumoured to be in the works, but I don't know what countries have yet to get their own teams. I know Redlight's been visiting a few of the ones that have been already built like those four. He still has a long journey to go on meeting all the others once they're ready. It's pretty cool he gets to visit them, and I'll bet it'll inspire the original two divisions to do the same in strengthening friendships and good will! Uh, Deckerd of the Japanese Division and Ringo Diamond King of the Scotland Yard Division, I mean."
"So there's a lot more Divisions around the world, and some that are still in the process of being created." Radiant Prism said, processing everything that she was told. After she'd been caught up to speed about the world, and the divisions she wasn't aware of, she was a bit surprised that the humans were building their own Braves so quickly.
"Yup, unfortunately the Americans chose to set things differently with their team. Don't know the details but I'm not asking Redlight for them." Requiem shrugged. "Anyways, we should head back to Dortmund, we're actually here in Berlin in case you forgot Redlight told you, earlier. We should try to get you up on your feet."
Radiant Prism looked away, a bit embarrassed by her situation. "Erm... As you were going on and on about catching up on what I've missed over the past two years, I haven't... Been able to make any progress." Radiant Prism frowned, her visuals glancing away from the Brave. "I think this is going to take me a lot longer to re-learn how to move more than just my head, I still don't even have any feeling in my wings, either." Her response was met with a shrug, but what Radiant Prism wasn't expecting was Requiem had grabbed both her servos and heaved her up onto her feet. "Whoa- Wait, Requiem! I still can't-" Immediately, Radiant Prism fell to the floor like a ragdoll. "...Walk properly. Can't you even listen to a thing I say!?"
"Then we'll speed things up! Let's start with getting more feeling in your leg joints!" Radiant Prism tried to protest but she was picked up so easily and couldn't do much about trying to shove him off, as much as she wanted to. A part of her wished Redlight was here to help her out, but since he was so busy, she couldn't risk pulling him away from important duties he had to attend, especially as the Pride of Germany. Radiant Prism tried her best at what Requiem was trying to make her do, and while she was slowly regaining some movement into her leg joints, she felt she was going to be here all day with Requiem trying to get her to move around. "Requiem... I don't want to be doing this all day." She told him. "I think it's just better to do this step by step each day, rather than try to go all at once in a singular day. It's impossible to do everything in one go, and I'm not at all in a rush to get back. I also wouldn't want to worry Redlight if I just left right away."
"Don't say that, you need to get back up and we're getting you started as much as possible-"
"Requiem, enough. That's... An order..." Radiant Prism frowned as the feeling of giving an actual order was still an odd taste in her mouth. While she'd done this before in the past with the others, it was only due to circumstance that she had to, but this? It wasn't a situation that was requiring an acting leader. She had to be a real one. When he wasn't leaving her be, Radiant Prism silently just gave in and did her best to re-learn how to properly move again.
"I think I'll just carry you back to Dortmund, it'll be easier." Requiem announced, which made Radiant Prism's wings flare at this. While she couldn't wait to fly, being brought into the air while she was still 'temporarily disabled' to some degree was something incredibly uncomfortable. Because she couldn't do anything about it, her instinct was to cling using her aerial grip, but she didn't even have full feeling into her digits yet. Radiant Prism could only watch as she was carried first outside, puzzling her greatly until when she was set down. "...I feel like one of those cloth made toys with the arms and legs being made to bend and very loose." Radiant Prism sighed as Requiem pleaded with her to whistle for her support. When she gave him a look, he simply told her to do so. "Requiem, I don't have a support anymore, it was destroyed during the final battle against Bruno years ago."
"That's what you think, but let me give you a hint since you haven't figured the main thing about your body." This caught Radiant Prism's attention as he continued. "This isn't technically really your original body as you remembered last, before the Bundeswehr knocked you out. Most of it was built by Gustav and his mechanics, yes... But most of the stuff contained weren't exactly... Genuine. Let me explain." Requiem grew silent for a moment, needing to carefully choose his words. "You see... There was more to Gustav than you'd think. Redlight told all of us that what was found in your body that the Japanese mechanics failed to notice was that a lot of the stuff was simulated to look genuine to make up for your Super A.I. not exactly being genuine. But this body you're inhibiting is actually made with real genuine parts... Which left many of us worrying that you might not be able to handle adapting since especially you're not exactly a Super A.I. anymore, but Redlight figured that because you adapted so well to the support, playing the role of acting leader when the Japanese Division needed it the most, and... Yeah, lots of other stuff that might be coming back to you already. Everyone's confident that you're going to get used to this new body."
Requiem then made a motion again for Radiant Prism to call out for her support. This time, Radiant Prism did whistle for her support. After a few seconds, a large jet flew by overhead, switching to the holding position as it swirled around the base from up high. Unlike the last time she recalled her support's appearance, from what she could see on her visuals zooming in closer, it was much different in design. "After Vice-Commissioner Dieter fired a lot of the mechanics and hired a new batch of honest ones, aside from having your body rebuilt with genuine technology and not counterfeit, illegal tech, he also ordered for your support vehicle to also have a total rework. They couldn't repair your old one since it was totally destroyed, but we tried to replicate it, with a touch of our own style, of course."
"Dieter..." Radiant Prism lowered her helm. "I wonder what he's up to."
"Well, we're going to go see him. I'm gonna call for my support so we can fly back." Requiem then whistled for his support, and a vehicle that had the styling of a hearse mashed together with some other type of vehicle made it's appearance, driving over towards the two. "And here's my support, the Spirit Walker. Just give me a moment while I..." Breaking into a sprint, Requiem leapt on top of his support as it rotated in place and drove off. Radiant Prism pondered if this support's mobility was designed for both normal and tank-like features, seeing as it didn't have the iconic treads tanks had, yet it could turn like one despite the lack of treads. Requiem could be seen leaping into the air as the vehicle below him hovered with the aid of thrusters underneath, unfolding to reveal a large combiner, and soon afterwards Requiem attached himself to the chest, forming the rest of the body as the optics glowed an eerily light grey colour.
The combiner hovered over to Radiant Prism, landing briefly as it knelt down to gently pick up Radiant Prism, then flew off with her in tow. "So... what are you in this form?" Radiant Prism asked as she could hear Requiem's voice being spoken to her through comms.
-In this form, I'm called Spirit Weaver. Hang on, I'm ascending a little higher. There's actually more I wanted to mention but I didn't want the others to hear. It's sort of a secret to the public, and I wouldn't want them suspecting that Surge's team, Blazer's team, and especially Redlight's team had the same issue as us, and the rest of our team. Also as Spirit Weaver, I keep silent to sort of add further fear into the criminals we deal with.- Spirit Weaver began to ascend into the skies, turning on his blinkers to indicate to commercial and military aircraft alike to be aware of him in the skies. -I still don't get how Deckerd can get used to something like this, Ringo Diamond King either.- Spirit Weaver mildly laughed, continuing to talk through the comms after leveling on the desired altitude. -Anyways, since we're high enough, what I didn't want to talk about on the ground was that not only you were a Black Market Brave, but in a sense so were mine and our team's bodies. Of course unlike you, we weren't activated even when you since fled the country all those years ago. We stayed hidden, as for how long you might ask, I have no idea. Not even Redlight was made aware of our A.I.-less bodies until sometime after Vice-Commissioner Dieter informed him of our team's existence. Whatever Gustav had planned for us, it might've not been good I don't think...-
Radiant Prism was horrified to hear such a dark secret had been under her nose the whole time. "What I don't understand is, if Dieter was made aware of you and the others-"
-You were made aware of us, too but didn't know this dark secret. That much I know since Vice-Commissioner worked closely with you.- Spirit Weaver could see that Radiant Prism was panicking, thinking that Dieter might also be a cruel, horrible person. -Please don't stress yourself about the Vice-Commissioner, he didn't know a lot of the technology was illegal or counterfeit. It all looked so genuine that he couldn't identify it. I think what hit him the most was the fact you yourself were the only Black Market A.I. that functioned so perfectly like that of a genuine Super A.I., but to learn that Gustav had dealt with, and even stole from Bruno and other shady people made him sick to his stomach.-
Radiant Prism lowered her helm, internally glad that her only friend since activation was not the type of person Gustav was. "Yes, it's true I knew about you and the others, but at the same time I felt powerless against Gustav. He made me powerless on purpose, with his twisted belief that I could tackle anything without the use of a team. I was never given a combiner, or anything else a leader would've needed. I was just a prototype in his eyes if you couldn't tell by my BP label... I can't really say if you and the others were a failsafe in case I either failed, or in turn succeeded in fleeing for my life which I did." Radiant Prism gave a dry smile. "I'd always assume that you and the others would've been activated not long after I left. On the bright side, at least you and the others never had to suffer the same pain as I did. Leaving my home country and being no longer under the guidance of Redlight was easily the most excruciating pain I felt when I left German airspace... And in a sense, I then felt like a kid who got lost and didn't know what to do or where to go when I landed myself in Japan... Except with my guard up of being ready to fight or flight so I wouldn't be hunted. But hearing that you guys were just shelved for an indefinite amount of time shocks me... And I suppose in a sense despite it might sound mildly cruel, made me relieved that you guys weren't used into the same twisted ideals Gustav had done to me."
-I was shocked myself when I heard about that. After Redlight ordered Blazer and Surge to assign some of their teammates to protect your part of the country which wasn't an easy feat, but he told me that he wished he'd known an alternative way to save you.- Spirit Weaver then took notice of a few familiar buildings from above. -Looks like we're here, I'm going to come down for a landing.-
Spirit Weaver slowly hovered back down to land, yet his feet refused to touch the ground. "Your combiner is awkward as always, Requiem." Snorted a relatively tall jet as he was elbowed by another who was with him as the large lift meant to carry heavy vehicles and supplies in and out of the base had just finished ascending.
"Manners, Riot." the other aerial Brave told them as Riot only snorted in annoyance.
"Whatever you say, Scopeguard." The two worked together to carefully remove Radiant Prism from Spirit Weaver's servo and took the lift back down into the station as they helped her onto the nearest vacant dock once it was down. "Phew... For a girl who looks like a man, she sure is heavy." Riot commented after the two secured Radiant Prism. "I can't believe she hasn't even managed to re-learn how to walk or some crap, whatever Redlight said."
"Thanks, Riot for that comment..." Radiant Prism narrowed her optics as Spirit Weaver left, and the repair bay was silent. The three of them could pick up on the sound of a human running as their optics drew towards the sound. "Vice-Commissioner Dieter!" Radiant Prism exclaimed.
"Ah, I'm no longer the Vice-Commissioner, Radiant Prism. I'm actually a Commissioner now." Dieter smiled. "Since Gustav's capture and arrest, I took his place. I haven't chosen someone who will take my place as former Vice-Commissioner, but I'm taking my time to ensure we don't have someone that's exactly like, or worse than, Gustav. I will admit that I'm glad the one fight I had to endure is fully over." When Radiant Prism tilted her helm, Dieter explained about that he had received a lot of flak for supposedly being associated with working on illegal technology, which was something he wasn't aware of, since he couldn't tell the difference. "...I had thought everything was genuine, even Requiem and the others' bodies... But no, and I was horrified when I was shown the information. But as you can see, the mechanics you knew from before aren't here anymore. We have a new fresh batch of mechanics- Genuine ones, working with us. The previous one were actually smuggling illegal and stolen supplies and I wouldn't need to explain it all over again since I'm sure Requiem told you everything as I asked him to."
Radiant Prism nodded, but looked away as Dieter could pick up something else. "You still can't walk, or feel your limbs, right?"
"Correct. I don't know if I even will... I thought reflex reactions when Requiem picked me up might help, but they didn't... Much." Radiant Prism sighed. "I had some feeling in my servos, but not enough to grip, or even grab."
"I see..." Dieter's expression slightly fell grim with concern, thinking things out carefully. "Well, I think we could find something to help give you a little boost until you're able to do certain basic movements on your own without assistance. Would that be alright, Radiant Prism?"
"If it'll help me regain movement again even if it's slightly faster, I'd like that."
"Just note that I'll be assigning some of your teammates to help with the progress. This will also give you the chance to get to know them better, too." Dieter smiled, taking note of Scopeguard gaining his attention. "Ah, but where are my manners... These two here are one of your teammates. Please, introduce yourselves."
"BP 784, just call me Riot. Anyone got a problem with me, and I'll bash their face in." Both Dieter and Scopeguard stared at Riot in disbelief as he noticed their looks. "What? I'm just saying what needs to be said. Anyways, your turn to introduce yourself, Mr. Butler wannabe."
Scopeguard shook his helm and turned his attention back to Radiant Prism, introducing himself next. "BP 785, please call me Scopeguard. I do hope that Requiem has properly introduced himself to you at least."
Radiant Prism replied with a nod, saying he did, even though he sang most of the time he talked. Not long after, heavy footprints, along with an audible 'splat' could be heard as a Brave came into the room, and an unusually large mop and bucket in tow, visibly mopping the floor. "Hey janitor, your turn to introduce yourself now that you're here." Riot called out as there was no response. "HEY!"
"I heard you, there was no need to shout." The gruff, bulky Brave said as he turned his attention to the three Braves. One immediately caught his attention, making him stop his cleaning as he approached with his equipment in tow. "You must be BP 777, Radiant Prism. It's nice to finally meet you. I am BP 782, otherwise known as Tungsten, named after the toughest metal in the world before Bravenium was discovered. Currently BPs 783, 786 and 787 are currently out on patrol, but I've informed them that there is someone to meet once they come back for a fuel break." Radiant Prism nodded as Tungsten excused himself to resume his cleaning.
"...Most of the time, I feel like he's got the hearing of an elder." Riot snorted. "But you heard what he said, the other three you haven't met yet are on patrol."
"I believe you two need to return back to the office to resume your respective paperwork, there's actually a couple of things I'd like to speak with Radiant Prism privately." Dieter smiled as Scopeguard nodded, dragging Riot with him as the latter protested about being handled. Once they were gone, Dieter turned his attention to Radiant Prism. "Radiant Prism... I want to apologise beforehand before we talk about other things, I had no idea that Gustav was in league with various criminal organisations all this time, even when I'd just become Vice-Commissioner all those years ago. As you already know... Gustav looked and acted like what a genuine Commissioner should be, not that of a criminal and yet... I was still somewhat so new to the position after the Vice-Commissioner before me had retired- Well, he was also pestered by the force because he'd worked so closely with Gustav before, but like me, he also had no idea he was in league with criminals." Dieter smiled sadly. "Most of this was before Dortmund started on the Brave Police project. I'm disgusted that we were using illegal tech, and I have no idea how all of this smuggled equipment was smuggled right under our noses, and passed off as legal supplies. It really stained the Polizei's reputation, and it took a long time for the people to learn to understand we had no idea."
Radiant Prism's expression softened as she let Dieter continue going on about everything from the start to finish. As he was still talking, she then began to hesitate, unsure if Dieter might think less of her, especially since he'd already know that what she isn't a genuine Super A.I., and when the man took notice, he hugged her leg. "Radiant Prism, despite your background, you were still my friend. Black Market Super A.I. or not, you bore the heart of a genuine BP who fought for justice. You even continued to show that with the time you've spent with both the Japanese and Scotland Yard Divisions when Redlight told me he made that tough decision to give you that order to flee the country, and you've made me really proud that despite that... Dark situation you were put in. I was relieved that you've been doing so well and that you weren't harmed. Since then I've continued to pray for your continued success in learning things and getting up on your own two feet without Redlight's help. From fighting that trio of criminals, to flying over to the United Kingdom for a time to help the Scotland Yard out, and then finally back here where you fought against the mastermind behind it all." Dieter could feel a bit of movement, looking up to see Radiant Prism trying to make some effort in trying to move. He stepped aside just in case she might fall over, and when she managed to lower a servo to the floor, he giddily climbed up, holding on to when she stood back up. "I see the little program to help give your systems a little boost is working." He said once Radiant Prism had straightened herself back onto the dock she occupied.
"Sort of... I'm not sure how I managed to do all this without falling over." Replied Radiant Prism. The lift could be heard as it descended, followed by someone arguing with someone, while another was trying to calm the situation. That Brave managed to distract the other two from arguing when they brought their attention to Radiant Prism. "So this is our supposed saviour we've been all waiting for to awake!" The Brave, a helicopter in nature made a small hop down onto the main floor, after making sure there weren't any mechanics nearby as she approached Radiant Prism casually. "Radiant Prism right? BP777? Name's BP 786 but everyone just calls me by 'Lance'. The one with the laptop in his servos there is-"
"BP 783, I go by Deadeye." The male Brave introduced. "I have special tech that the others don't possess, and I do independent work from time to time that needs to be done in secret."
The other one with some paint smeared on their face approached and looked at Radiant Prism more closely, before backing up. "I have a hard time believing you took down that rat with the other three Prides. All of it sounds like utter crap, but I'm called BP 787. Warpaint to be exact. I like getting in fist fights and testing others' fighting prowess." Warpaint quickly interrupted Radiant Prism. "Just so you know, I don't see you as the leader of this team, not unless you go through me."
"Warpaint, we talked about this." Dieter's expression turned to mild annoyance. "And I made the call that Radiant Prism will be the leader of the entire team, not you. And no, you cannot be the SIC. That's Requiem's spot." His response was met with Warpaint scoffing at his words, then left to go get fuel. Once she was out of earshot, Deadeye assured Radiant Prism that Warpaint won't try anything funny, but tells her that he looks forward to working alongside her once she's able to work again. Lance agreed and the two left to refuel.
Over the course of months, Radiant Prism made progress adapting to her newly built body. She'd suspected that it would take her weeks to be able to do more than just sit around, but it didn't turn out to be the case. It wouldn't be until a month and a half that she was able to walk around and refuel by herself. Not long ago, she'd been able to do some paperwork despite her writing ability wasn't exactly perfect. Long near-perfect straight lines would dot random directions of some of her paperwork, leaving some of the Braves confused. Radiant Prism could only sigh in frustration, she felt ridiculous that it was taking her this long to properly write words, and she still had a long way to go. "You've improved, Radiant Prism." Deadeye told her. "You've drawn less lines than a few weeks ago." Radiant Prism could only look away, her optics focused along the edges of her desk, then back to Deadeye. Currently, it was only just the two of them while the others assigned to paperwork were in the rec room refueling.
"Deadeye." She addressed as the Brave turned his attention back to her. "Can I ask you something?"
"What is it?"
"You and the others... Don't think ill of me because of what I was originally created as, do you?"
Stunned at what came out of Radiant Prism's mouth, Deadeye wasn't expecting such a question. After recovering quickly, he shook his head. "While we might not have been exactly on the same level, but we were in a sense on the same boat." Deadeye replied. "Our original bodies were built with illegal tech, some of it most likely stolen and even counterfeit as you already know. While we were given fresh new bodies with genuine parts while our old original bodies were sent elsewhere- Most likely to have most of the materials be reverted to whatever it used to be, and then returned. But as for our team, not once has anyone thought ill of you, not even Warpaint despite her personality and opinion of others. I'd think Redlight wouldn't want you to worry about this, too. Everything has changed over those two years you've been in suspension."
"Yes... I suppose that's true." Radiant Prism frowned as she still felt the dread that everyone would be wary or hate her, but her attention was soon fixated on her desk computer's screen when she received a new email. On seeing what the email contained, she discovered that there were two that were sent. Opening the first one was from Redlight, with a small video recording attached, but chose not to play it. Instead, she transferred the file to then play in her systems, where she could observe the video privately in her HUD, rather happy that it was mostly Redlight checking in on her as he's been busy regaining the trust of the German people, which would be a long battle to win. Many were still wary about them thanks to the immense damage Bruno had caused, and for it to be probably the second biggest fight in Germany to date against a criminal was still fresh in their minds. With the video having finished playing back the recording, her attention now turned to the second email, which didn't contain a video recording, but simply written text from Dieter that he has a surprise for her later tonight, and he hoped she liked it. 'I wonder what this surprise is about...' She thought curiously.
The day would fade away into the night as most of the Braves were getting ready to bunk down to recharge, while some prepared for their night patrol. Radiant Prism was just about to bunk down herself, until when Dieter found her. "Hey Radiant Prism, over here!" Turning her attention to where the voice came from, she stood at attention at the sight of Dieter. "You ready for your surprise?" The female aerial could only tilt her helm, curious about whatever this surprise was about. "First things first, we're going to my place."
Radiant Prism flinched at this. "What? But Dieter, I don't know where your place is, and I'm still not quite fit to fly..."
A smile was playing into Dieter's face, the man looking incredibly excited. "This is true, but you can still function like a real jet, right?"
Radiant Prism could only reset her optics at this. "Well, technically yes... We do have full vehicle functionalities depending on what we are, I mean even our entire interior looks and feels like a basic vehicle..." Radiant Prism paused for a moment, then seemed a little horrified. "Dieter, are you saying that you're going to fly me there? Flying a jet isn't exactly quite the same as those small little planes you'd commonly see in the sky, or-"
"Yes, this is true. But. I can tell you that while you've been gone, I've actually been inspired since we had you built, that I've wanted to learn how to fly a jet. I'd thought that this skill would be useless at some point, but since you're still not fully 100% mobile, this is where I could be your wings, your engine, all that sort of things. In vehicle mode you still function like a real jet." Radiant Prism could only hesitate, still fearing that Dieter could make one wrong move and she wouldn't be able to recorrect or pull herself out of danger. But since he wanted to show her this surprise he's made for her, whatever it may be, she caved and said that she'll let him pilot, but became curious about something else. "Well, there is one other problem..." She told him. "The F-14 needs two pilots to fly, if you're going to be the main pilot, you'll need an RIO."
"You're correct, Radiant Prism. This is where I'd like for you to be my RIO, basically you'll be my wingman while I'm piloting you." Dieter replied.
The two would relocate to Dortmund's main airport, and Radiant Prism felt awkward having to walk all the way to the airport. She'd attracted all sorts of attention from so many around her along the way, and even the Polizei patrolling the cities were stunned to see Radiant Prism walking around, and not in the air like she'd normally be back in her earlier days. When she'd finally reached the airport, she was told by Dieter to go with the other planes and wait while he made arrangements. "...This would've been better to head over to a nearby air force base, but I guess even that would be too far compared to... This." Radiant Prism mumbled to herself, embarrassed that a lot of airport workers were staring at her as they went by and about their work. She'd slump slightly with disappointment, wishing she had full mobility to be capable of proper flight without the need of assistance. Unable to handle all the staring, she changed into her jet mode, slumping on her landing gear in discomfort.
It would be a little while until when the sound of familiar footsteps were approaching her. "Radiant Prism!" Dieter called out. "You ready?"
"Uh... I guess. I'd just want people to stop staring at me." Radiant Prism opened her cockpit as she brought out her arm to help Dieter climb in, then folded it back into herself once Dieter was safely inside and closed her cockpit. She flinched slightly when Dieter buckled in, not used to being touched as she just about never had any passengers with her, save for when she had Yuuta with her. 'Was it once... Or twice? I'm not sure why I can barely remember beyond knowing Yuuta was with me...' She thought to herself, informing Dieter that she's going to line up with the other planes to wait her turn. Unlike normal planes, many aerial Braves that were planes or jets were sophisticated beyond a need for an airport tug to tow them to where they needed to go. One had positioned themselves to be ready to tow her, but she backed up. "I thank you for the offer, but we Braves don't really need a truck." She told the man, whom had been startled, yet surprised that it was Radiant Prism.
"Been a long time since we last saw you, Radiant Prism. Glad to hear you're back. But if you're sure you can get in line to take off, go ahead.
Radiant Prism began to move, letting Dieter handle the ATC and kept her audios open on where to go. She was ready to recorrect Dieter if he were to accidentally turn into the wrong strip of runway, but fortunately he'd follow the directions the ATC gave him with no problems at all, and soon enough they were already waiting in line. As Radiant Prism idly waited, she then noticed that there were people that plane watched were all staring at her. 'Gah! I think I'm going to be all over the news...!' She cringed internally. 'I knew we should've gotten to a military base for take off!' She was internally panicking, but had to keep herself calm. This was even more embarrassing than having to walk through the city, and now even more people were staring at this tiny little jet- Or at least tiny in comparison to a commercial airline. Fortunately, she'd have her turn as the plane in front of her had already begun to roll down the runway. Once her turn had come after a little while, she rolled up onto the runway, more and more people curious to see a jet take off. She swept her wings outward, realising that Dieter forgot to set that himself. "Don't forget that an F-14 Tomcat's wings need to sweep outwards. Like the real thing, I can't take off with my wings swept against my body."
Dieter sheepishly apologised, but soon began making preparations while Radiant Prism watched. Once everything was prepared, she gunned her thrusters as Dieter made the move to start building up speed for takeoff. Once enough speed had built up, Dieter rotated. Radiant Prism was impressed with how smooth Dieter ascended, it felt like she was flying again as she missed the breeze of the rushing air brushing against her frame. It felt like old times, something she'd been craving since she came back online after having been suspended for so long. She couldn't wait to fly on her own again, and little did she know, Dieter had gotten that devious look on his face. "So, Radiant Prism. How about we fly around for a little while? It might be good for you to spend some time in the air." The offer immediately lit up Radiant Prism's spirits, and he could see by how bright some of the display was.
"It's hard to describe how much I've missed the wonderful feeling of flight, but yes, I'd love that." She replied with a hint of delight, before it reverted to a more serious tone. "...After we make sure we're not in the middle of air traffic, first."
"I know just the place, actually."
The two spent a good few hours flying around, building up speed then slowing down to make those sharp turns. Dieter would perform a few tricks, nothing too advanced but simple ones that weren't difficult to perform. "Dieter, I have to ask, when exactly did you take lessons in becoming a pilot? Surely this couldn't have been done in a couple of years." She asked, slowly becoming curious to know more about the man other than knowing he has a family and kids.
"Long before the Brave Police project began in Germany and before I became the Vice-Commissioner, I'd often go take lessons in learning how to fly when I was done with work for the day. I was interested in becoming part of the German Air Force- A childhood dream you could call it. I wanted to learn how to fly a normal aircraft to get some feeling of being in the air, and maybe find other ways to make myself useful." Dieter could only chuckle as he could take an easy guess that Radiant Prism was either shocked, or confused. "In the end, I never really followed through. I was approached by the former Vice-Commissioner before me who said that I was a suitable person for the job. I could have turned it all down and just... Left. But I didn't. A day after I took the job and they retired, I was approached by Gustav to help him start up Dortmund's Brave Police project." Dieter's expression fell grim as he kept his concentration, no longer was he building up speed and flying around as fast as they went, and the easy simple stunts had ceased as he slowed Radiant Prism to a cruise speed. "For months, he was mostly trying to figure out what kind of Brave he wanted- In terms of what vehicle should they turn into. He picked a tank, an armoured vehicle, and a whole lot other ones. Heh... He wanted a submarine, even... But that was scrapped quicker than the other suggestions... One day, when I was getting the daily newspaper, I spotted on a small section that talked about the United States were retiring one of their most famous jets in favour of unmanned drones that could change out of a jet and into a robot."
Dieter leaned back into his seat. "While I never further pursued wanting to enter myself into the German Air Force, instead I proposed to Gustav that our first Brave is to be someone that can fly, quickly fly across the sky to get to whoever is requesting backup. The Brave that would become that ideal jet- The F-14 I mean, would be you, Radiant Prism. Well, when I intervened."
"Intervened?" Radiant Prism repeated, bemused at what he meant by this.
"Yes, you see... Requiem's Super A.I. was meant to be the F-14, but in my delight of deciding on a Brave that turned into a jet, I... Well... I discreetly worked on your Super A.I. with a couple of mechanics, and swapped Requiem's Super A.I. with yours without Gustav knowing." Dieter gave a small, sad smile. "In case you ask, no I wasn't made aware about the dark little secret until... Well..." Dieter shook his head as he couldn't finish, but continued. "The whole time I worked on your Super A.I. with the others, I thought you were genuine." The two would go silent as they flew, Dieter turning as they went too far from the city. "Let's head back to my place, I think we've spent enough time in the air." He said with a small smile as he changed coordination for his destination. A little while later, Radiant Prism could see a strip of runway that she'd never seen before. As familiar as she was with every single airport in all of Germany, this strip of runway didn't exist the last she recalled. "Dieter, when did this little airport- Wait..." She zoomed her visuals on what looked to be a hangar right next to a mansion. "Is that a mansion right next to it!?"
"It sure is, Radiant Prism. That's my house." Dieter's response surprised the aerial Brave. She'd believe that the man had lived in a simple sized house just like everyone else. While it didn't look as massive as Commissioner Juuzo Saejima's mansion exactly, it still looked relatively big from what she could see. "My wife's relatives owned that mansion before her for generations. When she was in her late teens, she inherited her Grandfather's mansion when he passed away years ago. Living away from the city is quite peaceful, especially when you sit to listen to all the sounds of what's around you." Once he lined up Radiant Prism to land on the strip of runway, the surface of the runway was quite smooth, telling the aerial Brave that it was clearly brand new. Once they'd come to a full stop, Dieter taxied Radiant Prism out of the runway and towards the hangar, stopping in front of it when he got close. "Well, here we are!"
"What's the hangar for?" Radiant Prism asked.
Dieter could only smile as he replied that it was her hangar. "A few years back while you were still in Japan helping Deckerd's team and on the side taking leadership lessons, I originally had intended to visit you to see how you were doing in secret, but unfortunately some events back home called me back to Germany. I did run into the young teenager, Yuuta Tomonaga his name was. I asked about the Japanese Brave Police, with the help of a translator who spoke Japanese about his team, and I did learn quite a lot." Dieter gently tapped the cockpit glass, and Radiant Prism opened it as Dieter climbed out, continuing to speak as he got down. "I learned how Deckerd always went to his residence when he wasn't on duty, and- Well, only further reigniting my old passion for the German Air Force, I managed to convince my darling wife to turn what used to be a fairly large storage room into this hangar, for you. Well, most of the storage building is still there, just compressed into the walls, evenly since we didn't have room anywhere else to store important equipment and other things." Once Dieter was down, he backed up to allow Radiant Prism to change out of her vehicle mode, but felt wobbly. "Shall we check it out?" Dieter offered as Radiant Prism nodded.
...
Over the course of months, Radiant Prism became accustomed to the changes in her life. While her learning of leadership was still a long progress that took time, she'd managed to get herself into full 100% performance, fit for patrols, police work, and most especially, independent flight. One of the roughest steps had to be when Warpaint had challenged her for almost a full week straight for the title of leadership, which Radiant Prism had managed to win each time, and in the end Warpaint finally admitting she is what Redlight had chosen in the end. Aside from regular police duties and helping her teammates out whenever she was needed, Radiant Prism had also resumed mostly limiting her patrols to airport patrol, keeping an optic out for any trouble that people may attempt to smuggle into the planes that weren't allowed, and even swapped out for plane watching, acting if the ATC needed her to save a crippled plane. It was nice to be able to do her old job again in full, without the shackles that once bound her to the station. The most exciting thing for her was that provided she wasn't on active duty, she could head on over to visit the other teams to get to know them better. Most of her visits often took her to Redlight over in Berlin, her strong friendship with the golden eagle was continued to strengthen, even when she'd need some advice on specific things she wasn't sure about leading.
Through her trips between the three other stations, she would learn so much more about what she'd missed. Currently, she was occupied with a special machine that her station had just finished constructing recently that she was in the midst of borrowing, which was the same device back in Japan that Drill Boy often used to make almost anything brave-sized, particularly things like newspapers, posters, and the like. Radiant Prism had been sprucing up her hangar with all sorts of things, mostly from her great passion and interest for anything aviation related. Posters, figures, models, and whatnot had decorated her place. Having just finished pinning a newly acquired poster to the walls, Radiant Prism looked back at it with great pride. The poster was that of a plane flying the old markings of Air Canada executing a forward slip. "I see you've really decorated the place, Radiant Prism." Dieter called out as the aerial turned her attention towards her personal desk computer. "Many of the posters from what I can see, most I know you've taken pictures of, but... That one you just put up, is that an Air Canada plane?"
"Yes, that's Air Canada Flight 143, otherwise known as the Gimli Glider. I've been looking into a lot of plane incidents and even some events that happened in the past, and this one caught my full attention. It's amasing how the captain just... Performed that move only you'd perform while piloting glider planes. I'd never thought that the commercial airlines could somewhat do this, dangerously risky if you ask me, but amasing overall." Radiant Prism shrugged off the topic, approaching Dieter. "But moving on to important matters, is there something you need? Even though I'm currently off duty, I'm here to serve."
"Oh no, I just wanted to see how you were doing. I'm currently on my break and I'd figure I'd come back to check on you."
"I see. How's the new Vice-Commissioner fitting in? I heard that you've finally found someone who fits the role." Dieter nodded as he explained that they're still relatively new to the role, which made him feel nostalgic about how he was back then, but he's been helping out as best as he could. On showing the picture of what the new Vice-Commissioner looked like, Radiant Prism could see the photo was that of a woman who appeared to be in her mid 20s. "She'll make a fine Vice-Commissioner, Dieter. The experience you've gained over the years will certainly help her grasp the ropes of keeping everything in order much quicker. I'm interested in meeting her tomorrow, since I'll be working then."
"We're having a meeting sometime in the morning, but I can let you know when she'll be available." Replied Dieter as Radiant Prism nodded. After the aerial moved to resume adding more to her personal hangar, Dieter spoke up, regaining her attention once more. "I've also got some good news, remember how you wanted to take some time to help out the Air Force with training? When I sent the offer of having you help out with training exercises, their response seemed to be quite curious and asked to meet them the next time you're not busy with your patrols, would you like for me to schedule down a date for you? I don't know if their answer is a yes or no, but my guess is that they probably want to test your mettle in a dogfight, or answer some questions. I wouldn't know the outcome."
Radiant Prism tilted her helm at this. "I suppose since there is no straight answer, give them a schedule and let me know when I should be expected there." Dieter nodded. "While it's unknown about what they might want of me before fully accepting me, I'll be willing to help out as much as I can."
"I'll be sure to inform them. I have to attend to a few other things before I have to head back, so I'll see you later tonight." After Dieter left, Radiant Prism returned to what she was previously doing. She didn't have too much left to add to her hangar, and when that was done she decided to go out for a bit of a flight to stretch out her joints, she would also hang near the airport out of habit, even if she had a day off today. Radiant Prism balanced between looking out for any planes in trouble, to contemplating on how was she still put in suspension when she lacked a Super A.I., she should have asked Deckerd, or perhaps even King if he may have also evolved into a living being, if she would have to be even more careful, or if she could still somehow transfer her own 'soul' to another body, should it be possible. "Perhaps I'll ask Deckerd the next time I see him visit Germany..." She muttered to herself with a frown.
The next day, Radiant Prism was on her way to the station with Dieter in tow. By the time they arrived, Radiant Prism immediately noticed someone who'd been waiting for their arrival. It took her a moment to realise that this was the lady in the photo that Dieter showed her, the new Vice-Commissioner. "Hey Radiant Prism, try using your VTOL." Radiant Prism was confused by this, until when Dieter explained that when Redlight succeeded in fighting for her right to live, his team's crew added a hover mechanic. "While you were still out, Redlight had Riot test a prototype of the VTOL system, which turned out to be a success when he conducted those tests to switch from flight mode and hover mode." He explained. "Normally, he was supposed to be the only one with this feature, but I've managed to work out the schematics to fit into your body with the same mechanic, too. It wasn't easy considering the vast difference in wing and body between you two. But go on, try it!" Doing as told, Radiant Prism slowed as best as she could once she lined herself up properly, switching to hover before she could fall into the red that indicated a stall. While amased by this, Radiant Prism was also not used to this, jets normally never stayed almost perfectly still. Strangely enough, she would have normally detected new technology installed into her, yet she didn't. 'Perhaps my body was given time to adjust, even though I was still unconscious... Perhaps.' She thought.
After some careful timing, she deployed her landing gear as she began her descent, until when her wheels touched the ground did she relax. "...This is something I'll need to get used to, I was under a lot of stress trying not to mess up." Radiant Prism told Dieter as she opened her cockpit and deployed the built in ladder for him to get out. Once Dieter was down and given her room, she changed form just as Dieter greeted the new Vice-Commissioner. "Radiant Prism, this is Ivonne Fuhrmann, she's the new Vice-Commissioner. Ivonne this is Radiant Prism, a very special friend of mine."
"Wonderful to meet you, Radiant Prism." Ivonne greeted professionally. "Dieter has told me quite a lot about you, and I hope we'll be able to work together from here on out." Her tone was stoic, something Radiant Prism noted, but it wasn't as emotionless or ignorant like what Gustav's mannerisms were. To her, Ivonne seemed more welcoming and more wanting to work with her and the rest of her team than dismiss her as 'just another machine to replace' as what she's been used to.
"I look forward to work with you, Vice-Commissioner." Radiant Prism saluted. Dieter then dismissed Radiant Prism to return to the station to see what she could do, while he and the Vice-Commissioner have to attend a meeting. It was surprising for both Radiant Prism and Dieter that despite the meeting that was being held so early in the morning today, Ivonne managed to make time for them both just before it was time. Radiant Prism would relocate herself to her office in the station. 'Well, I might as well get to do some paperwork, some of the others have already gone out on patrol.' She thought to herself, booting up her computer.
What surprised her was how there was a critical notification in her e-mail. Opening, it was none other than an official e-mail from the Chief-of-Staff of the German Airforce themself, who asked for her today if she has free time. After getting the info to see where they want her to go, she then shut down her computer and informed the others that she has to head out to see to someone.
When Radiant Prism arrived at the designated base, she was greeted by a couple of staff members who were waiting for her. "Whoa, when did you all know I was coming?"
"One of your mechanics saw you head out for our base and informed us ahead of time. They used to work alongside the German Air Force years ago, but retired to work closely with you and your team." Said a man in a fancy uniform, which Radiant Prism identified is the Inspector of the Air Force. "Radiant Prism, before we begin..." There was a small pause, before he and the others straightened up and began to apologise. "We want to apologise for what the main branch of the Bundeswehr had done to you years ago. Apparently, it appeared that the Chief-In-Command turned out to be one of the criminal's lackeys who solely followed him in secret, and as a failsafe when you managed to defeat him, he manipulated the main branch to take out and suspend you. But, we want you to know that despite your history, we've been wanting to see and perhaps test your mettle in the sky. Some of our pilots could learn a thing or two from your expertise, and perhaps you could share techniques with our veterans. In fact, our veterans want to see you in the air in a mock dogfight, if you're willing."
"It'll be an honour, sir." Radiant Prism straightened into a salute. "This is one of my specialties that I'm very passionate about."
A little while later, Radiant Prism was up in the air in a mock dogfight session with the Air Force's best veterans they have. She had to admit that these were well trained pilots, skilled in all the know hows of what to do and how to react. To make things more fair and on a more human level, Radiant Prism refrained herself from making strange, sudden sharp turns, or changing in and out of her jet form. This proved to be quite tricky, especially when she was going up against multiple pairs of jets, each one being assigned as wingmen of the other. She'd managed to lock onto a few jets before she ultimately was locked on herself. She was told that she performed well, admitting that they expected her to pull off some impossible stunts to avoid getting locked on, but Radiant Prism admitted that while it was very tough for her not to do that, she wanted to keep things fair. "As a Brave, I can do so many stunts and tricks to avoid being locked on, especially when backed into a corner, but in reality it would mean that in a sense, it's cheating." She shook her helm. "I chose personally to dogfight like a human, make things fair for your pilots."
"Bit of a shame that you're tied down with the police force, we could use robots like you on specific missions if they're needed, or other special training sessions." The Inspector of the Air Force replied. "But you performed well out there, Radiant Prism. You took out six out of ten total planes on that mock fight. Hm... Perhaps I could assign you a specific day, if your Commissioners will allow it, for when you can come here and help us train fresh new pilots into the next line of veterans."
"I could e-mail you on that thought, after I've spoken with both of them of course." Radiant Prism replied with a nod.
The man nodded. "Good, inform me as soon as possible, I'll send you a message so you can reply to that when you've figured out a good schedule."
"Yes, sir."
Returning back to the station and after greeting her teammates, Radiant Prism went straight to Dieter and Ivonne as she informed them that she'd need to discuss with them about freeing up a day. The two had to think for a moment, before eventually they gave her a list of days that she could choose from. "Now, just so you know Radiant Prism, there is only so much I can do. So I'm asking you to pick one day that you can go and train the pilots at the Air Force. I recommend asking the Inspector of the Air Force to pick one of the choices." Radiant Prism nodded and took her leave. She relocated herself back at her office desk, finding the e-mail that the Inspector had sent her. 'I need to send a photo.' She thought, looking at the information of available days given to her, then sent the information and that she'd like for him to pick one of the days. After that was done, all that she needed to do was wait. Hearing someone enter the office, she noticed Scopeguard and Riot enter, the latter looking like he's just about ready to explode from rage.
"This is all your fault, Scopeguard! If your damned mannerisms hadn't gotten in the way, we could've been cuffing up that criminal and sending him off to jail!" He immediately shouted at Scopeguard, who barely flinched.
"I explicitly told you to wait, Riot. We needed to wait and see where they were going." Sighed Scopeguard. "If we had waited a bit longer, we would've been able to arrest not one, but two, or even more."
"Boys, enough." Radiant Prism ordered. "It's not fun when a criminal gets away, but there will be more chances if the human officers find another lead, we'll be on it right away. ...But more cautiously this time."
"Are you looking for a fight!?" Riot snapped.
Radiant Prism narrowed her optics. "No, but I will have you assigned to something else if you continue to argue about this, and if we do end up getting another lead. Please Riot, just go cool your helm, it will be some time before we might hear about the criminals you and Scopeguard were dealing with." It was at this point Riot simply left the room, needing to cool off. Radiant Prism said nothing, but turned her attention to Scopeguard. "You're free to resume patrols, or paperwork but do rest up and refuel first if you need to."
"Understood." Scopeguard gave a formal bow and left. Once he was out of sight, Radiant Prism turned her attention back to her desk computer, realising that she received the reply she'd been waiting for, smiling to herself. Life was just about to get even more interesting from here on out.
