Ladybug took off after her partner, shouting his name, as police cars raced round the corner and screeched to a halt; Police officers piled out, only to stop and gawk at the scene in front of them.

Officer Raincomprix stepped forward, pointing at Gabriel Agreste.

"Is that..." he asked, hesitantly.

"Hawkmoth?" Carapace replied. "Yes. It is."

"It was!" Nooroo piped up from his place in Giovanni Rossi's arms.

Gabriel lifted his head. "Traitor!" He spat.

"You're not my master any more!" Nooroo shot back defiantly.

"What happened?" The Policeman asked. " And who are all these people?"

"Long story," Carapace replied, "and not one I really know."

A beeping sound filled the air.

"Oh yeah!" He slapped his forehead. "I used shellter, so I've actually got to go," he said.

Raincomprix nodded, and Carapace extended a fist to the rest of the heroes. Receiving only baffled looks in response, and an attempt by the Black Cat to shake his hand, he shrugged.

"See ya later!"

And off he went.

"Who are you?" Raincomprix asked again.

"That's a very long story," Ladybird told him.

"Yes, 200 years long," the Black Cat added. Raincomprix shot him a strange look.

"I don't know if you're going to think us mad for saying this," Giovanni addressed the officer, "but we're time travellers?"

Raincomprix just shrugged. "Oh, that explains it."

"Why are you taking it so well?" The new bee hero asked, baffled.

"I've seen far stranger than you, thanks to him," Raincomprix glared at the now former Hawkmoth. Gabriel met his gaze defiantly.

Just then, Alya ran up, her eyes wide.

"I saw it all!" She said. "That is Hawkmoth!"

Raincomprix shook his head. "I've told you before not to run into the middle of these fights, it's really dangerous!"

"I need to!" Alya defended herself. "Besides, I've got video evidence!"

She pulled out her phone, and Raincomprix found himself watching the moment of Hawkmoth's transformation into Gabriel Agreste, and then Chat Noir's escape immediately afterwards.

"We'd better go before the news crews get here and start causing trouble," he decided. "Bring him in!"

Policemen surrounded Gabriel Agreste and cuffed him, before dragging him to his feet and pulling him towards a police car. The supervillain made no effort to resist, but just then Ladybird remembered something.

"Are you going to put that on?" She gestured at the brooch still lying where it had fallen on the ground, as the police began to leave with the villain. Alya joined the heroes, trying to fit in and see what she could learn.

"Why?" Giovanni asked.

"Because I've got to undo the damage that Timetagger did, and that's going to include bringing those two... Akumas?"

Alya nodded, and confirmed that was the correct name.

"Those two Akumas back. And you need to be ready to immediately de-akumatise them."

Giovanni nodded, and picked up the brooch. He took off his original and put the new one on in its place.

"Nooroo, Bright Wings Rise!"

The Kwami was sucked in to the brooch, and suddenly the Butterfly stood before them again, dressed in his old fashioned Venetian purple robes as opposed to Hawkmoth's suit.

"I wasn't sure if that would work," he said. "Now do what you need to do."

Ladybird took out her yo-yo and spun it a couple of times, before flinging it straight up.

In a loud, clear, voice, and in English, she shouted "Miraculous Ladybird!"

There was a flash of red light, and a wave of tiny ladybirds washed over the city, restoring Timetagger's damage. Far away, Chloe and Miss Bustier appeared in the now empty classroom, but the two Akumas from the museum also burst back into the 21st century. The larger of the two staggered, and the other rapidly flickered between forms. Both looked disoriented. The white marble one looked up, saw them, and snarled, before charging at them, its sword above its head.

The Butterfly stepped forward, and a purple aura appeared in front of his face as he waved his hand lazily. The Akumas stopped, and doubled over. Black butterflies burst out of them, as Ladybird snagged one with her Yo-Yo, and Temoli the other. They were both swiftly purified, and then Temoli used her miraculous ladybug to reverse the damage they had caused. A Louvre security guard and curator were left groaning on the pavement, looking around in confusion.

Alya looked relieved.

"They did break a lot of priceless art," she said.

"Nooroo, Dark Wings Fall!"

The Butterfly vanished again, replaced by Giovanni Rossi, and the man took off the miraculous and replaced it with his own. Two Nooroos floated up beside him, one looking relieved and the other horrified.

Just then, there was another set of beeps. All eyes cast around as the noise became more insistent, and then there was a yellow flash. Suddenly, where the new bee hero had been standing, there was Valentina Rossi. For a moment she looked like a deer caught in headlights, but then she composed herself. Pollen floated up beside her.

Alya gasped. "Who are you?" She asked. She had been hunting for a reveal for ever, and now she finally had one!

"Young lady, I am..."

Her sentence started off proud, and ended confused.

"Actually, that's a good point. Who am I? I haven't thought of a name yet."

She thought for a moment.

"Ava?" She tried. "Vespa again?"

But before she had a chance to decide, there was movement in the distance and Ladybug returned, a look of extreme worry on her face.

"He's gone!" She told them.

The heroes all looked at each other, confused.

"He seems to have taken the reveal very badly," the Black Cat observed.

"Not the first time," Ocelotl pointed out.

Marinette did not understand what he said, but the accompanying side eye was enough for her to pick it up.

"We need to find him," she declared.

"How?" Alya pointed out. "We don't even know who he is!"

"The search will go faster with multiple Ladybugs and Chat Noirs on the case though," Ladybug said. "We can patrol a wider area quicker, so we should split up."

She looked around.

"Rena Rouge, you can come with me," Ladybug told her, beginning to settle into leadership. "And Carapace too, when he returns."

"Re-Rena Rouge isn't here!" Alya laughed nervously.

"Hawkmoth already knows, and he's been defeated," Ladybug reminded her. "I think it's safe."

Alya looked like she wanted to argue for a second, but then nodded. "Fine."

"Ladybug, I think you should have this," Giovanni interjected, and handed her the brooch. Nooroo floated over to her. She nodded in thanks at him, and then carried on her speech.

"The rest of you can split up and comb the city. Try not to get distracted, do not step in front of cars, don't let anyone talk to you if you can't speak French. Have you got it?"

They all nodded seriously, including Ocelotl when the instructions had been translated for his benefit.

"Then let's go!" Ladybug shouted.

Author's Note: Hawkmoth has been defeated, but the story is not over yet. We've still got the fallout of Hawkmoth's identity reveal to deal with, and how the past heroes deal with the future. Who knows, maybe a certain liar might decide to interfere? We're close to the end, but we're not there yet.
