Chris swiped through the pictures on the phone in his hand. The majority of them were of his children, but there were a few Katherine had taken of herself. He stopped on one picture and saw her laughing at something, her eyes lit up. He saw Alex in a reflection, showing he was the one who snapped the picture of her.

"Dad?" Scott said quietly. "Are you ok?"

"Someone cloned this phone," Chris said quietly. "She was able to look at pictures of you four and of your mom. Even with everything the media has gotten a hold of, with what Doris Toomes did with the wedding pictures… I've never felt so violated, Scott. This held the last few moments of her life that were meant for just us, and someone stole that from me." Scott held his hand out and Chris gave him the phone.

"I remember this day. Annie was trying to help her clean the kitchen and she spilled flour everywhere. Mom told her to go wash off while she cleaned the floor, and after a while, she couldn't find Annie." Chris rested his cheek on his fist.

"I don't think she told me about this."

"Well, Annie had flour on her clothes, but she knew she wasn't supposed to get in a bath with her clothes on, so she went outside- with her coat on- and rolled in the snow. Between the wetness of the snow and her body heat, she ended up making a slurry, and then the cold froze it to her hair and face…" Chris chuckled.

"I definitely hadn't heard that."

"It was a month before you came home." Chris took the phone and pressed the picture to get the information. He took a pained breath and put it down. "Dad?"

"Exactly one year after this picture was taken, I married Tony. One year ago, I was coming home to her, and now-"

"Now you've got Pop," Scott said softly. "And being with him doesn't take away how much you still love Mom." Chris nodded and wiped away the quickly falling tears.

"Aren't I supposed to be the one comforting you?" he asked with a sad laugh. Scott gave him a small smile and took the phone, lifting his glasses.

"Lex took this picture, you know."

"I see his reflection in the window. He's got her natural talent."

"He's lucky. He looks like her and has so many of her skills. Gabe is like her in other ways and has her eyes, and Annie is a carbon copy of her. I have nothing to outwardly show my connection to her." Chris put his hand on the back of Scott's neck.

"Maybe not outwardly," he said gently, "but you certainly have her heart." Scott shrugged.

"It's not the same."

"I know, son. I wish you looked less like me, too."

"I didn't mean it like that," Scott told Chris. "I don't have a problem with looking like a Summers. I just wish I had something of hers I could see. Even Pop has Gram's eyes where he's otherwise a clone of… Yeah."

"I'd be willing to bet that if you did have something of your mom on your face, you'd have a hard time looking in the mirror because that's all you'd be able to see."

"I… hadn't thought of it like that." Chris kissed Scott's head.

"You should get some more sleep, Scotty. You'll need to get up for school in a few hours."

"I know. I just thought you might like some company while waiting to hear that Pop landed."

"Thank you, son, but I'm alright. Go on back to bed." Scott nodded and stood up.

"Night, Dad."

"Good night, Scotty. I love you."

"Love you, too." Scott went back to his room and Chris swiped to another picture as the elevator doors opened. Diane walked in and jumped, putting her hand over her heart.

"Chris," she said. "I wasn't expecting anyone to be awake." Chris frowned.

"It's two in the morning."

"I know. It was my night to shut the restaurant down, and that includes counting the till and cleaning the kitchen and prepping some things for the next day. Usually I have help, but she was out sick today, hence me getting back… late."

"Does Sammy know you're here?"

"Not yet. Are you alright?"

"I am," Chris lied. "Just waiting on a phone call from Tony."

"Oh? Where is he?"

"He should be landing in Paris any- This is him," Chris said, pressing the green button on his phone. "Hey, Tony."

"You should have let it go to voicemail, Bear. You know how I don't like when you don't sleep-"

"You're one to talk about sleep, Tin Man."

"Exactly. I know what I'm talking about."

"Did you just land, or did you go to the hotel first?"

"We just landed. I'm changing in the room since my first meeting is in thirty minutes. No time to go to the hotel until after dinner."

"I'm sorry."

"Don't be. This is what I'm used to. It's the downside of life as a CEO of such a massive company. How're the kids? Everyone go to bed ok?"

"Everyone is good. Peter's taking it easy and moving around on crutches. Ava has finished moving in and is rooming right beside Nat. And Scott finished painting that map. I'll have to send you a picture. It's impressive."

"I look forward to seeing it, then, babe. How are you?"

"I'm… I'm alright, T. I have a new-to-me story about Annie. It's a year old, but I hadn't heard it until just a little while ago. You'll find it entertaining."

"I'm sure I will. I'm sorry, Chris, but I've got to go. I'll call you again when we stop for lunch?"

"I'd like that. I love you."

"I love you, too. Now sleep, Big Bad." Chris chuckled and pulled his phone away from his face to hang up.

"So Paris, then, hm? Why wouldn't he want you to go with him to the City of Love?"

"What?"

"You'd think he'd want you to join him."

"He did. He- we own a place there that he wanted me to see, but I've got some stuff I had to oversee at the hangar this week that couldn't be postponed."

"You own a home, yet he went to a hotel?"

"Without me there, there's no point in going to the house and having to buy food and prepare it. With it being just him, he's fine letting the hotel take care of the trivial things so he can focus on business."

"You're not worried he's-?"

"Cheating?"

"Yes."

"No."

"Chris, I- I overheard that someone sent you a picture of Tony cheating. A leopard can't change his spots."

"You misheard, then," Chris said, standing up. "The picture was supposed to be of him cheating, but whoever tried to blackmail my husband failed to realize that that was me with him."

"What?"

"I think I'd recognize myself. My husband isn't a cheater, Ms. Jeffords. When he cares about someone, he puts his whole heart into it. There's simply no room for anyone else." Chris gave her a tense nod and went back to his room.

"Shh," Scott told MJ. "We don't need people upstairs hearing us." He continued kissing down her neck until he reached her collar bone. He looked up to check her reaction as he started kissing down the front of her shirt as well as pushing up on her bra. MJ gasped, her hands gripping Scott's hair.

"Stop," she suddenly said. Scott pulled away reluctantly.

"Are you ok?" She nodded and looked around before pulling off her shirt. She gently pushed Scott into a chair and straddled him before she grabbed Scott's hands and pulled them to her chest.

"Am I too heavy?" she asked. Scott rapidly shook his head, unable to form actual words. MJ smirked at his dazed expression and kissed him as she started moving her hips in his lap. He felt a pressure in his groin and groaned

"Stop moving," Scott requested. "Shit- Shit." MJ looked down and then looked back at Scott.

"I take it you enjoyed yourself?" Scott nodded, his face on fire. "Good." She kissed his cheek and jumped off of him to pull her shirt back on and fix her hair.

"I'm sorry," he said, embarrassed. "I didn't mean to… you know."

"I'm flattered. But maybe next time, you can help me?"

"MJ, I- Are you sure?" MJ nodded. "Ok. When you're ready, I'll return the favor."

"Good. Now I've got to get home. Are you sure no one knows we're in the training room?"

"We should be fine. I'd have heard the doors open." He looked at his damp pants and sighed. "I don't know how I'll hide this."

"Do you trust me?"

"Yeah. Why?" MJ went to the water jug and poured a cup of cold water. She went back to Scott and poured it down the front of his shirt and down his pants. He yelped at the chill. "A little warning would have been nice!"

"I thought the warning was 'your pants are wet and I'm getting water.' Here, take the cup."

"Why?"

"More plausibility that you spilled water on yourself." Scott nodded and took the cup from her.

"Thanks," he said, still slightly embarrassed.

"It's in my best interest to make sure you're not in any trouble." Scott chuckled and the two left the training room.

"Text me when you get home?"

"Don't I always?"

"You do. I just can't help but ask." He kissed her cheek. "Get home safely, MJ. I'll see you tomorrow."

"Tomorrow," she agreed. She got in the elevator and left. Scott let out a breath and leaned against the wall. Once he felt enough time had passed, he called the elevator to him and stepped in.

"Apartment, Friday." The elevator didn't move. "Friday?"

"Mr. Stark would like to speak with you."

"Is he home?"

"He is requesting to video chat. In his lab."

"Ok," Scott said quietly. The elevator lowered to the floor containing Tony's lab and Scott stepped out, waiting for Friday to unlock the door. He went into the lab and went straight for the couch. He sat and started anxiously playing with his fingers as he waited.

"Do I need to tell you why I'm calling?" Tony's voice startled Scott and he looked up, seeing Tony sitting in a chair in a hotel room with a bow tie undone and hanging around his neck.

"No sir."

"Then you tell me."

"I was misusing the purpose of the training room. I wasn't exactly upfront about my location."

"Yes, technically you did all that. It was a very creative way to have privacy with your girlfriend, since you didn't actually break mine and Dad's rules. I'm impressed."

"Please don't ground me-"

"Why? I just said you didn't break any rules."

"Then why are you calling?"

"Are you ready to talk now?" Scott swallowed.

"Yes sir. But can we wait until you're home?"

"I can do that. Are you alright?"

"I think so. I'm feeling a lot of pressure right now, though, and…"

"Trust me, I understand. Did you read the book?"

"Some of it. It was a little too descriptive." Scott blushed and ducked his head as Tony chuckled.

"I hadn't heard that one before. I'll try to remember that before I get Peter a copy. Other than that, are you doing ok?" Scott nodded.

"It was different."

"When it's not you doing it, it'll always feel different, and sometimes that difference is better." Scott nodded and Tony studied him.

"What? Do I have something on my face?"

"Just noting the difference in your attitude about this, especially compared to the last time I talked to you."

"It's still… Not comfortable, but this was our deal, right?"

"Right. Now I know I have no right to ask, but I'd really prefer if you'd wait until you were sixteen to have sex. There's something… But otherwise, just be safe and be careful."

"Yes sir. I understand your concerns, and I share them, too. I wasn't planning on going that far before she and I were both sixteen. I feel like that's an age that- well, if sixteen year olds are considered mature enough to drive a car without supervision, then… yeah."

"I agree. And that makes me feel better about all of this."

"Pop?"

"Yeah?"

"We don't exactly have to share this with Dad, right?"

"I don't keep things from him, Scott. I'll let him know that we've talked after the fact. He'll understand, and I won't let him go off on you for asking questions."

"Ok."

"Alright. My flight leaves in two hours, so I need to get out of this penguin suit and head on to my plane. I'll see you when you get home from school tomorrow."

"It's a teacher work day," Scott said. "No school, and it's a three day weekend."

"Then I'll see you whenever I get home."

"Yes sir. Oh, Pop?"

"Yes?"

"It's not Ms. Roberts."

"What?"

"She didn't clone Dad's phone."

"What makes you so sure she didn't?"

"Because Ava and I did the 'find my phone' thing and it didn't get anywhere near the school."

"So she doesn't keep the cloned phone on her at all times-"

"It pinged at the Tower. Both phones." Tony leaned back.

"Other than people who I know wouldn't clone the phone, there's no one else smart enough to pull it off."

"I just wanted to share what we'd found. I don't have any information other than that."

"Thank you, Scott. I'll look into it." Scott nodded.

"Bye, Pop. I'll see you in a few hours." Tony waved on the screen and then it turned off. Scott sighed in relief and went back to the elevator to go to the apartment. He stepped out and looked around, not seeing anyone. He frowned at the silence.

"There you are," he finally heard as Chris left his and Tony's room.

"Hey. Where is everyone?"

"Peter's with Ned, something about us hovering too much, Alex is at a friend's house, and Annie and Gabe are at the movies with some friends from school who also happen to be siblings."

"Where's Uncle Sammy?"

"I have no idea. I think he and Diane took off for dinner or something."

"And Danny, Sam, and Ava?"

"They're… I don't know. Natasha said she had them out for a training experience overnight."

"Without me?"

"She's been training you for months. I think she wants to make sure they're on your level."

"Still…"

"She knows what she's doing, son." Scott nodded and Chris gave him a look. "What happened to your pants?"

"Huh?"

"They're wet."

"Oh. I spilled water all down my leg. There was a hole in the cup and I didn't realize it until," Scott gestured. "I'm going to go change." He started walking towards his room when Chris grabbed his arm and pushed him back.

"Let's try that again, shall we?"

"What are you talking about?" Chris crossed his arms.

"I've been your father your whole life. I know when you're not being entirely honest."

"I don't want to talk about it."

"Is it bladder problems?"

"No! Can I just go change? I'm wet and cold and-"

"Porn?"

"Dad!"

"You can talk to me, Scott. I've been there-"

"Please don't."

"Go change. Put them in the chute to be washed now or it'll dry and be gross." Scott covered his face.

"Please stop."

"Ok. You don't have to be embarrassed, though, Scott."

"It's not- Any time something happens like- you just lose it and treat me like I'm Gabe's age."

"I'm sorry, son, that's not my intention. I just want you to be better than me."

"I'm going to change and then take Shila out."

"Will you at least talk with Tony when he gets home?" Scott nodded and rushed into his room. He changed into a clean pair of boxers and pulled on some sweatpants when he realized Shila hadn't greeted him.

"Shila? Shila!" He opened his door. "Dad, have you seen Shila?"

"If she's not there, then she'll be in the common room."

"Who took her to the common room?!"

"I don't know, Scott. Just go look, alright? Call me if she's not there."

"Yes sir." Scott got back into the elevator and took it to the common room. The doors opened and he looked around. "Shila?"

"She's over here," Steve called. Scott frowned and went to the couch in front of the giant TV.

"What's she doing up here? I'd left her in my room to walk MJ out."

"I figured you'd be up here eventually, so I went ahead and took her out for you."

"Oh. Thanks, Cap." Scott sat down and Shila quickly plopped herself in his lap with her front paws on the couch.

"Sam- Falcon Sam, I mean, has a list of movies he says I need to watch for references that are everywhere these days. You feel like watching one?" Scott looked around and saw Bruce reading across the room, as well as Vision and Wanda in the kitchen making something that smelled spicy.

"Sure. What's on the list? No matter what it is, I'm pretty sure we have it. Pop seems to love his movies." Steve handed Scott a small book and Scott looked through it. "Indiana Jones."

"Which one is that?"

"He's an architect who's also a professor, and he goes on adventures to solve puzzles. The first movie is referenced a lot with the boulder scene, and- It's a good trilogy." Scott pushed Shila off of his lap and went to look at the movies around the TV.

"Is it there?"

"It might be in our apartment. I'm sure he has the whole series."

"Alright. I'll go with you and help you look." Scott nodded and led Shila to the elevator with Steve not far behind. They went to the apartment and Scott walked straight to the entertainment center to check the movies.

"It's here," Scott said, pulling a DVD case out. "I knew I'd seen it."

"Do you want to watch it down here? It's less of a hassle-"

"I don't think that's a good idea. Dad is still… And we're technically alone and if he finds out, I'll lose more than just my freedom."

"Of course," Steve said. They headed back to the elevator when the doors opened and Diane stepped out.

"Oh! Captain Rogers!"

"Ms. Jeffords," Steve greeted.

"Hello, Scott," Diane said, with an almost unnoticeable chill in her voice.

"Diane."

"Scott and I were just about to watch a movie. Would you care to join us, since Sam is out with Alex?"

"Sure," she said, smiling. "I think I saw some popcorn in the kitchen. I'll get that going if you get the drinks?"

"Oh, we're going up-"

"I think it'd be easier to be here," Diane said. "After all, Sam will be back soon, and I'd rather be here when he returns." Steve looked at Scott.

"She is another adult. That meets your dad's requirements, right?"

"Yeah, technically… Fine. I'll get the movie going and you guys can get popcorn and drinks." Scott went back to the TV and inserted the DVD into the DVD player. He sent a text to Chris to let him know what was going on and frowned when he heard the sound of something vibrating behind him. Diane carried out three bowls of popcorn and handed Scott a bowl.

"Here you go."

"Thanks," he said as Steve walked in with three cups. He handed a glass to Diane and then put one on a side table for Scott.

"Is this it?" Steve asked, looking at the screen.

"Yeah. Just waiting for you to sit to watch." Steve nodded and sat in a plush chair several feet away from Scott. Scott pressed play.

"Friday, dim the lights, please," Steve requested. The lights grew darker and the three settled in to watch the film. Scott took a sip of his drink before starting on his popcorn. He swallowed and ran his tongue over the roof of his mouth at the chalky residue. He took another sip of drink to wash the taste away. He noticed Diane and Steve were eating their popcorn just fine, so he took another bite. When the bowl was halfway gone, he looked at the adults again. Diane was asleep and Steve seemed to even be nodding off. Scott took another bite and then blinked as he realized his vision was blurred. His eyes closed and he slid down onto the couch cushions.
