A/N 1: I have a better appreciation of the effort all of the writer's put in, creating these stories.
Life interfered and when I returned to the story, I was blank. I had lost the story, and my muse was in hiding. This story started out as a one shot, then I expanded it and had some milestone scenes in mind, then it split into 2 stories, but I never had an outline to follow. This simply poured forth from, "If this was so, then what would happen." Then a beautiful thing happened. Amazon brought Chuck back. And I returned to the source and fell in love again.
I must say that I often read fanfiction here, in lieu of watching the show. But nothing beats seeing Yvonne and Zack smiling at each other. And of course it is wonderful to be wowed by the delightful Mini Anden.
So anyhow, I put fingers to keyboard, and this is what came out, for our next installment.
A/N 2: Don't own Chuck.
oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Their villa's living room was nice and spacious, luxuriously appointed, and had been claimed by Chuck.
Casey tended to watch documentaries in his room while cleaning his guns, and Carina wasn't a TV kind of person and would turn to the internet for entertainment. So, the 60 inch TV was all his, and he had all of his gaming systems hooked up to it.
And the best part was the 7 foot sectional couch that he could actually stretch out on. Or, bounce up and down on, overly excited as he played his games, like he was doing right now.
Chuck laughs as the turtle causes him to spin out, allowing Carina's Princess to pass him, winning the race.
"You've caught on quickly, Padawan." Chuck tenderly says, with a big grin.
"Of course I have, I am the number one, kickass, ninjaspy, golden girl of Team Bartowski." Carina states confidently, laughing as she shoulder bumps him, as they sit side by side on the couch.
A half hour of Mario Kart, right after work, was becoming their de-stressing ritual. It allowed them to burn off a little of the frustration and pent up energy that usually follows long meetings, doing something of absolutely no consequence. Chuck was thrilled at her willingness to try something from his world, and Carina was actually enjoying the activity. It provided a safe outlet for her competitive spirit, and her highly developed eye-hand coordination kept the game from being frustrating, even as a novice.
It also provided a transition into a different world. Daytime, work, and mission belonged to Charles Carmicheal. Nighttime brought the world of Chuck Bartowski. And that was the world that Carina is learning how to live in. After Mario Kart, they would move on to dinner and the rest of their night, with a calmer, more playful spirit.
Chuck over exaggerates his response to Carina's shoulder bump, falling sideways on the couch, causing her to laugh even louder.
Chuck bounces back up, and grinning, he looks at her and shakes his head. "Are you really enjoying this? This isn't boring you?" By the end of his statement, his mood has dampened and a slight frown forms, emphasized by the furrowing of his brow.
Carina's grin melts from a big grin, to a soft smile, and she reaches out to touch his face. "I really am good with this. Just like your gentle charms, I am growing to appreciate it." She explains, offering him a coy look.
She strokes his cheek with her thumb, and he couldn't help leaning into it, closing his eyes for a moment.
She pulls her hand away, because she wants him to fully hear what she is about to say. It has the desired effect as Chuck opens his eyes again, intently staring into hers.
The intensity of his stare causes her to momentarily shudder and involuntarily close her own eyes for a moment. Then she composes herself, ready to share with him a revelation.
"Chuck, honey, the other day at the gym, I was in the sauna, and I had an epiphany."
She grins, "You are a sauna."
Chuck, confused, does a head tilt, like a cute puppy, and simply says, "Huh?"
Carina cups his cheek again, and giggles, saying, "Hear me out. A sauna isn't an action you take, it isn't something you can rush. You have to give it time to have its own effect. You have to simply be there and allow it to do what it does. A sauna isn't something you do. A sauna does you."
At that, she pauses, and with a big grin, she winks at him and says, "And Chuck, you do me, in so many ways."
Chuck's eyes get big, his face blushes red, and his mouth begins opening and closing, like a fish, as he attempts to speak with a frozen brain.
Carina puts her finger against his lips, to stave off any attempt at reply, and she continues. "The sauna experience is about allowing it to make you feel good. Giving it time. It is all about the experience. There is no end goal you must accomplish. Other than enjoying it."
Carina pauses, again, finger still against his lips, and looks deeply in his eyes, inquiring. She slightly nods her head, encouraging him to do the same, to assure her that he understands.
Getting his mirrored response, she continues. "So, I am realizing that intimate love is just like that. It's all about the experience. It's all about the journey. Like you said, it is all about the million little moments, and trying to infuse each of them with some joy and happiness. So to answer your question, with a question; How can I get bored of joy and happiness?" She leans forward, and replaces her finger with her lips, and lightly kisses him. Chuck grins, as she pulls away saying, "How could I get bored of you loving me?"
Chuck leans in and kisses her, with more intensity, but also keeps it brief. "Amazing. You are amazing. And, very insightful."
Carina leans her head into his, "I think you are pretty amazing yourself. And interesting. And exciting. And a little weird."
Chuck falls back into the couch, offering a deep belly laugh in response. He pops back up.
"Just a little weird? I take offense to that. I strive for very weird." He laughs again, full throated, wiping his eyes.
"Okay, so you think I am a little weird. Then m'lady, I think I am going to have to introduce you to the Knights who say Nee!"
Chuck fends off a throw pillow, as Carina laughs, simply saying, "You Nerd."
Chuck responds to her thrown pillow, with a tickle attack, which turns into light, then heavier kissing.
Casey's voice intrudes into their consciousness, as he inquires. leaning in from the hallway, "I am going to order a pizza. Do you guys want in, or are you just going to have each other for dinner?" He barks a laugh as he continues down the hallway.
They both chuckle, embarrassed, but inured to Casey's jibes. Laying half on top of Carina, Chuck raises himself up on his elbows, and looks tenderly down at her.
Carina has Casey comment in mind as she looks up at him seductively and inquisitively, and pushes her hips up into his. "Dinner?" she asks with a mischievous smile.
Chuck's eyes get big, and he quickly sits up, and says. "Umm, I think we should stop there, and go get cleaned up for dinner."
"Chuuuuck" Carina whines. "My motor is running. When are you going to take me out for a spin, again?"
Chuck stands, and offers his hand, helping her to stand beside him. "I know. And I understand it is frustrating for you. I totally understand being interested in someone who never seems to commit." His voice catches, but he quickly moves on. "It's obvious my body responds quite intensely to you."
Carina grins, looking down at the confirmation of that statement.
"But, the heart and head need more time. Especially my heart and head."
He pulls her into a gentle hug, and kisses her forehead.
"I appreciate your patience with me. And, all these little things we do together, I feel are bringing us closer, building a strong foundation for a long future together." He kisses her head again, as they separate, and pulls her by the hand, towards the kitchen. "Let's catch Casey, before he orders something like a Jalapeno and Sardine pizza." His statement garners the laugh he is hoping for, and she follows him. Wherever he is going.

Carina was seriously working on growing her relationship with Chuck, trying to find mutually enjoyable activities that were physical and active for her, while still being fun for him. So, she had found a high performance go-kart track for one of their new Saturday outings. An afternoon of high speed, adrenaline pumping racing concluded with unsurprising results.
Carina jumps out of her go-kart, as soon as it stops rolling, and starts dancing around, chanting "I'm number one, I'm number one, and you can eat my… dust!" she finishes with a laugh.
Chuck was laughing too, at her antics, as he extracts himself out of his own go kart. "Yeah, well I am glad there aren't any pedestrians on the track, because I don't think you would have slowed down for them. You are a demon, woman." He laughs even harder, as she sticks her tongue out at him in response.
"Yeah, a demon woman who just out-raced your ass, 3 times in a row." she teases, pulling him in for a hug. "And you have to admit that it gets your motor running more than Mario Kart."
Chuck leans back, and looks disapprovingly at her, "Now don't go dissing my man Mario." he teases back.
Carina chuckles and lightly slaps his chest. "Okay, I won't diss your Mario Kart, but you have to admit that this gets your adrenaline going."
Smiling, he pulls her into a tight hug and kisses the top of her head. "You know it, Rina. And you are absolutely right about mixing our interests. As long as you can handle my low key, I will work to keep up with your real life adventures."
They turn in their helmets and head to the car, lunch at an outdoor cafe in their immediate future. As they drove, humming along to the radio, their hands found each other, comfortably intertwining.
Chuck was enjoying the growth of their relationship. As important as sex was to a relationship, there is just too much non-sex time that is spent together, which requires shared interests. And they were searching out those shared spaces. Mario Kart for him, Go Karts for her; Chilling with wine and an album for him, energy drinks and live concerts for her. They were exploring if there was a real relationship here, despite his doubts and uncertainties, and he was pleasantly surprised at Carina's commitment. Maybe a lifetime of lunches together was in their long term future.
oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Chuck opens the car door for Carina, and asks "So, what do you think?"
Carina, standing in the open door, replies, "I think Carlo C is a pretty popular guy. I'm pretty sure that everyone there likes you." Her smile growing broader, she adds, "Almost as much as I like you." and follows that with a quick kiss on his cheek. She then slides herself into the car.
Blushing, Chuck composes himself and moves to get into the car. Once seated and settled, he continues, "I hoped you would find some enjoyment doing this."
Carina gave him a flat look, and said, "You know I am human and have a heart. Of course I enjoy helping people." her face transitioning to a wide eyed personification of "Duh!"
Chuck laughs, "Yeah, I know 'Rina, you are good people."
Carina smiles, enjoying the compliment, and asks, "So how did you find this food bank, and do you come here often."
"One of the analysts, Lars Jensen, is involved, and told me about the Euro Food Bank, and this group here in Rome. So I started coming about a year ago and helping out however they needed me. It filled a need for me to do something at a personal level, a tangible expression of the Greater Good."
Carina gazed at him admiringly, Of course you would. You are good on so many levels.
"Well they seem to appreciate you." Carina comments, recalling the warm welcome he received.
Everybody seemed to know and like "Carlo C." From the Team leader, to the other workers, to the drivers of the trucks he helped to unload. He was respected enough that their welcome was warmly extended to her, and they accepted his request that she be assigned to distribution, so she could meet the people.
"It was an amazing experience." she shared. "I got to meet so many amazing people. It was great to be helping so many people. I not only got to meet the greater good, I felt like I was part of the greater good. It was cool to hang out with whole families and see all of them caring for each other."
She lost herself for a moment, remembering doing things with her family, which are memories she never used to allow herself, remembering the little boy on the bicycle today, and how he reminded her of the brother she lost, and returning to her thoughts of a family yet to be, thoughts that had never occurred to her, before meeting Chuck.
Returning to the present, which she had left for an unnoticed moment, she turns to Chuck, and smiles lovingly at him.
Chuck stretches out his arm, inviting her to lean into him, and kisses the top of her head when she does.
"That's why I wanted you to come. We've gone undercover at many charitable events, but never have time to think about the underlying cause. This allows us to be involved up to our elbows." he explained.
"We deal with so many bad people, see so many bad things, and do some terrible things ourselves," he ends, in almost a whisper, and shares a painful look, before shaking it off.
He hugs her tight, "Those people aren't selfish, they aren't greedy, and they aren't so rich that they can give without sacrifice. Those are just normal, everyday people, who choose to give their limited time and limited resources, to help others. I need to be reminded that good, caring people exist."
She shakes her head, slightly, thinking, How can you not realize that I see it in you everyday?
"Something I use to ground myself, in all the mess of our world, are these thoughts." Chuck continues. "There is a lot out of our control, and our jobs and bosses take even more control away from us. However, from what I can gather, there are only two things we have total control of; our actions and our reactions to others actions."
"At any moment I do have control and choice over my actions, and the kind of person I want to be. Regardless of circumstances, baggage, and others, I can choose to be an Asshole, or I can choose to be compassionate and caring. And that is a choice I can, and need to make, every moment of every day."
"Today we chose to be compassionate." he emphasizes, looking at her meaningfully. "In all of this chaos and uncertainty, I try to remember that you can't choose your future, but you can choose how you are going to experience it."
Carina was quiet, taking all of it in, realizing that he was sharing his life philosophy, and letting the depth of it sink into her. Fascinating. A little thing that changes the big game.
She snuggled deeper into Chuck's arm, as he navigated the streets back home. Home? When did I start thinking of it as home? When have I thought anyplace was "home", rather than simply, "my place". And she realizes that "Home" isn't dependent on location, but is built on choices and relationships that were nurturing. It was about the person you were with, not the place that you were.
I have always worried that I wasn't right for Chuck. Perhaps, as we adapt and grow, we truly can become right for each other.
As Carina is lost in her thoughts about how special he was and possibilities for their future, Chuck was lost in similar, but different thoughts of his own.
He was thinking about Carina and the little boy who won the weekly giveaway, a new bicycle.
The boy had apparently come with his elderly grandmother, who he had been helping load her cart.
The bicycle had thrilled him, apparently his first, and he was beaming as he wheeled it outside, while his grandmother finished the shopping. Chuck turned back to the boxes he was moving and didn't notice that Carina had followed the little boy outside.
Several minutes later, he stacked the last box, and taking a break, he looked around for Carina.
Not seeing her red hair anywhere in the vicinity, he stepped outside and suddenly stopped.
Up ahead, in the parking lot, Carina was standing by the little boy, holding him up, as he wobbled on the bicycle.
Chuck stepped to the side of the building, not hiding, but not wanting to be noticed, and he watched the scene unfold.
Carina squatted down, so she was at face level with the boy, and was apparently reassuring him, even stroking his head, to help settle his nerves. She then steadied him, as he started pedaling, then letting go, she ran by his side for until they neared the other side of the lot, where she steadied him again as he slowed to a stop. Carina jumped up and down, cheering, for a moment. Then, with the bike pointed the other way, she repeated the process, as he rode back across the lot. They repeated this process several times, until his grandmother came to take him home. They left, with him jumping on the bike, riding a few wobbly yards, then jumping off, to wait for his grandmother
Carina watched them for a moment, then turned to walk back to the building. She suddenly noticed Chuck, stutter stepped, then continued towards him, his big smile eliciting one of her own. "What!" she said, in response to his grin. Once she reached him she adds a soft slap to his chest.
"Nothing!" he answered laughing, as he playfully protected himself from further slaps.
"That was amazingly sweet", he said grinning, looking into her eyes. Then his eyes and smile softened, and he said, "That was something I never have seen, you playing with a kid."
"To steal a line from Casey, I wasn't hatched." And they shared a laugh at that. Then she turned back to the parking lot, apparently re-seeing the little boy, and something more.
Softly, she explained, "I watched him rush out to the lot, jump on the bike and immediately crash and burn." She laughs softly at the memory. "After watching a few failed attempts, I realized he must not have ever ridden a bicycle. And, I realized, his grandma wasn't going to be able to help him. So I went over, helped him get up, and showed him how to ride the bike." Her expression got wistful and her eyes misted up, when she added, "I taught my little brother how to ride a bike, when he was about that age." She lost her words for a moment.
Chuck pulled her in for a hug, and said, "Well, I thought it was sweet, and that was wonderful for you to do."
The thought he had then, had followed him on their drive home. So that's what Carina would look like as a mom. Something that seemed so unimaginable, had played out before his eyes.
Eyes that look at her, anew.
oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Chuck laid in bed, just enjoying the warmth and tranquility of the morning. It was Saturday, so he skipped having a blaring alarm wake him, but he was now conditioned for early mornings, so it was still fairly early, as he slowly awakens.
A knock on his door pulls him into the day, and figuring it was Carina, he just sleepily calls out, "Yeah!"
Carina steps into the room, greeting him, "Up and at 'em Chuck. We have a day of adventure to enjoy."
Chuck raises his head to look at her, and suddenly he is awake. And stunned. And mesmerized. His brain had frozen, but his eyes were in motion, as he took her in.
Carina was leaning on the door jam, hip popped, wearing something amazing.
It was skin tight, and it was leather. The leggings were a second skin, and for a top she was wearing a 3 button leather vest, which revealed and highlighted her anatomy in an oh so flattering way. Somehow adding to its appeal, was that it was made of a rustic looking soft, brown, suede, leather. Finishing off the look, in a scary/exciting fashion, were dual daggers in sheathes crossing her chest.
It pushed all of Chuck's nerd fantasy buttons. An elvish warrior princess was one of his favorites.
Carina savored his reaction and her ability to break his brain.
As she walked across the room, Chuck's brain began rebooting, and with wide eyes, he asks, "Whaaa? Where did you? Why? God, you look so hot!"
Carina laughs and does a little pirouette in front of him. "I thought you might like this."
"Uh, yeah." he says with a grin, as if that was obvious.
"We are going to a Renaissance Faire, and I got you a costume, too." And with that, she retrieves a bag at the door and tosses it to him.
He reaches in and pulls out a little pointed hat, like Robin hood wore. Laughing he puts it on his head, and reaches in the bag again. This time he pulls out some leather slip-on boots, which he admires, and then sets on the floor. The next item is a leather vest, kind of like Carina is wearing, but of darker leather. A white, loose fitting, shirt was next. Chuck reaches back in, felt around, and pulls out the final item. Some kind of light, thin, green material. Chuck's ongoing laughter subsides, as he works to straighten out the item. His face is puzzled as he slowly recognizes that it is a pair of green tights. Then his eyes grow wide and his jaw goes slack, as he realizes how flimsy and sheer the tights are, as he stretches them out and looks through them, at Carina.
She giggles, "You like them? You can be a real Robin Hood."
"More like a revealed Robin Hood." He replied, teasing her with a glare.
"I know. Rawr!", she teases back.
"Ok, "he laughs, "where is the rest of it?
Carina just grins at him.
It takes him a moment, and then he looks at her flatly. "Really? This is all of it?"
"And I can't wait to see you in it." she says, with a lascivious smile.
Chuck stands up and hugs her, then drapes the tights over her shoulder. "Yeah, well that ain't happening in public. Private showings only." and he gives her a wink. "I will let you know when the exhibition opens." He hip bumps her, as he moves past her to his closet.
Carina blushes at his response and her imagining of that scene.
He steps to his closet and reaches in, stating, "I think instead I will go as a wizard." With a flourish he pulls out a full size robe, covered with stars and moons.
It's Carina's turn to look agog, wide eyed with her mouth open.
"Now don't laugh," Chuck says with nervous embarrassment. "If you are nice, I will tell you later why this is hanging in my closet. Now tell me about this Renaissance Fair."
ooooo
It was a lovely fall day, so wandering around the fair was pleasant in and of itself. They walk arm in arm, sharing their thoughts, questions, and amazement at the variety of booths and entertainment, but mostly at the people who obviously loved dressing up for this event.
And a noticeable number of the male attendees loved that Carina dressed up for the event. Her leather Rogue outfit drew a number of compliments from men and women alike, and an exponentially larger number took pictures, with varying degrees of subtlety. They loved her costume. Chuck's wizard costume, not so much.
Chuck took special interest in the Magic: The Gathering tournament. Carina took special interest in the ax throwing competition. She impressed, and probably slightly scared, the crowd with her skill and ability.
All in all, it was a terrific day. As it was winding down, Chuck had something of an epiphany. It wasn't about discovering something new, as much as seeing things in a new light. As they walk back towards the car, sharing the moment, he feels that everything is right, in this moment. The day was right, the activity was right, and the person he was sharing it with was right. Thinking about all the things they had been doing to blend their lives, Chuck finally feels like this can work. He can see it. He can see them together, today and in the future, as a committed couple.
When he gets to the car, as he opens her door, he pulls her into a hug. "Thanks for a great day! You are terrific!" and he punctuates it with a kiss on her cheek.
Carina slides into her seat, her mind captured by that kiss. She doesn't know what it is, but it seemed like that kiss was a little warmer, his smile a little wider, his eyes a little softer. She slightly shudders. She doesn't understand it, but she feels it. And she likes how it feels.
oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Carina looks admiringly at herself in the leather outfit, one last time as she peels it off to take a shower. She takes another moment to admire her unclothed form, before stepping into the shower, and washing off the day's sweat. As she rubs soap over her body, she finds herself thinking about Chuck's kiss. It was only on the cheek, but it felt more powerful, than full on lip kisses she got from other men. She still didn't understand why it felt different, more intense, but it did. She loses herself in a reverie, imagining Chuck's kisses trailing her lathering hand. Her ministrations finally bring forth a slight shudder and gasp. If only that were real. she thought, and shuddered again, imagining how powerful that would be in real life.
Drying off, she wondered what Chuck was up to. He said that he wanted to make dinner, and grinning, he scampered off, calling back, "See you at 8, on the patio." There was no rush, so she takes her time, putting on a natural look with her make up, and picking out some clothes that were casual, but still sexy. Heck, everything in her wardrobe was…, and sexy. As she prepares herself, her mind replays the fun events of the day, then reflects on her life, and their activities over the past weeks, and comes to the conclusion, I like this. This feels good. I know Chuck is still unsure, but I could get used to this. Who wouldn't want to feel happy and content everyday of their life? And I think that's how it would be with Chuck. I didn't realize Dopamine was better than Adrenaline. As she gives her hair some final brush strokes, she realizes, And I am hooked on Chuck.
She smiles and gets up from her dressing table, and thinks, Time to go see what my happiness supplier is up to.
Carina steps out onto the back patio, and stops stunned. Chuck had apparently gathered up all of the candles around the house and had put them all around the patio. The table was elegantly set, with candles and wine glasses, fish over rice, plated and waiting. This somehow felt more romantic than anything he had ever done before.
She takes in the scene, broadly smiling, and turns her attention to Chuck.
He is standing there looking at her, completely focused, and when she looks into his eyes, she stops breathing.
He is looking at her, in her, encompassing her completely in his eyes. She has never felt him look at her so focused, so loving, so wholeheartedly. Her body trembles from the emotional intensity. In the past he had looked at her lovingly, but now she realizes that it was little L lovingly, while this is big L Lovingly. Wholehearted, nothing held back, Lovingly.
She has never felt anything like this, it fully encompasses her, becomes her world, and wraps her up in its embrace. Chuck was suddenly right in front of her, with open arms, and she falls into them, turning the figurative, into a literal embrace. She loses herself in it. Oh my God. What is this? This is Love? This is what it feels like to be truly and completely loved? This is like getting whiskey, after thinking fruit juice was a strong drink. Not. Even. Close.
Chuck loosens his hold, captures her eyes, and says, "I'm ready. All I have, all I am, and all I will be, is yours." And, with that declaration, he pulls her into a kiss deeper, and more intense than she has ever had, and she loses herself in it. And, I am all yours.
oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
The necessity for air, brought them momentarily back to reality, and as she gasped for air, Carina started pulling him back into the house. The 5% of Chuck's brain that was still working, managed, "Dinner?" Carina whispered, around and between his lips, "Dessert first." She proceeded to back her way into her bedroom, pulling him along by his lips.
They had been together before, so there was no hesitancy or unfamiliarity to slow them. Clothes were shed without conscious thought. The fact that it had been a while and that a whole lot of desire had been suppressed, would have provided plenty of fuel for the heat of their desire for each other on its own, but the intensity of their coupling pushed the heat beyond 5 alarm. Carina recalls that she was overwhelmed. I thought I had experienced it all. Pushed boundaries, both physical and propriety. But Chuck's passion is beyond anything I ever imagined. It's like all my senses are turned up a notch and I feel, I feel…everything. I feel alive. I feel turned on, hot with desire, but I also feel already fulfilled, and wholly satisfied. So this is the complete, true, romantic Love I have scoffed at? I am an idiot.
She burrows herself deeper into her big spoon, who was still asleep, and most certainly exhausted and dehydrated. I don't know what triggered it, but I will forever be thankful for whatever flipped that switch. A switch I didn't even know existed. I have been working and waiting and hoping for him to get whatever he needed so we could be together. But I just thought it would be what we had now, without restrictions. I knew that Chuck cares about me and he is so cuddly and intimate, that I was happily preparing for a lifetime of that. But this. Oh my God. This is so intense. Even seeing happy couples, I never knew that This is what they were feeling. She pulls Chuck's arms more tightly around herself and slumbering, Chuck softly moans and burrows his face into the back of her hair, tightening the embrace, before drifting back off.
Carina allows herself to drift off, her own batteries needing recharging, reveling in this new experience, this new feeling, this new perspective on the world, now that it was a world filled with Love, and Chuck forever by her side.

A/N 3: Well that could be a place to leave it, but I do have a few additional scenes in my head.
So, I am not dropping the story and I hope my muse pulls me through. Another half a dozen chapters? Hopefully done by summer?
Shout out to Chuck FanFiction over on Facebook. Reviews are always appreciated.
Question - Do you want a chapter of kissy face, or do we move on with the plot?
oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Casey walked onto the Patio, cooling off after an early evening run. He liked the cool and quiet of night.
He stops and smirks seeing the romantic scene before him. Hmm… Did Carina finally hook Bartowski? This looks way more romantic than their typical dinners. And, out here on the patio, tops it all off. I guess I should make myself scarce.
Casey looks around, listening to find out which direction he shouldn't go. Huh! I don't hear any footsteps or chatting. He moves to the table, checking the fish and discovering that it's pretty much cold. His spy senses kick in, wondering if they had to make a sudden escape.
He pulls his pistol and slowly steps into the kitchen. It only holds the debris of meal preparation.
He moves into the living room, slowly, carefully, listening, listening, and he hears Carina scream. He drops to a crouch, side arm pointed, as he pivots to identify direction. Then he hears Chuck moan.
Oh! Casey stands, and if it was physically possible for him to blush, he would have. Yep! They finally got their heads out of their asses and sealed the deal.
As he quickly walks away from the noises, he finds himself back out on the patio, and a big grin spreads across his face. Well, it would be terrible to have this go to waste. He steps up to the table and picks up one plate, dumping its contents onto the other.
He then sits down at that place setting, picks up the bottle of wine and takes a swig. Hmm… That's pretty good. He takes a look at the label for future reference. He then proceeds to dig in.
This is not bad at all. Well, I should vacate the premises, and suddenly I am in the mood for company. Time to hit up a hotel bar and find a lovely lady who would like some attention and stoic mystery in her life. Well, in her, for an evening. He was making fast work of the pile of food, and making plans. I'll grab a quick shower and I can be out of here in 30. Casey looks back at the house, grinning and shaking his head. And, I hope they don't make a mess of things.
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
A/N 4:Just had to add that at the end.
If you haven't read Chuck vs the Sound of Music, and you like to smile, you should.
