At Hexside halls…
Principal Bump was leading the four members of the Royal Family…
He was leading the four members of the Royal Family. The Royal Family is attending his school, it was a high honor. They only entered a few moments before making big waves and that was before the big reveal that Luzura was really the princess of the boiling isles.
He remembered how everyone reacted the next day when she came to school.
Across the Isles after the big reveal…
The word was out, one every crystal ball and every scroll.
"Citizens of the Boiling Isles and the Demon Realm, I present to you my daughter and only child directly from my blood, Luzura Crescent Noceda-Wittebane." Emperor Belos proclaimed, presenting his beloved daughter for all the world to see.
People spitting out their food, petrified by the realization of the human of the realm was the daughter of the most powerful Witch in the Demon Realm. People who didn't know the girl were shocked that Belos has a daughter, especially once being with a human woman. People who have seen her feel like their heads were turned 360. Then there were people who knew her and those who hurt her.
If the Emperor of the Isles discovers who is harming his daughter…. They're dead.
Next day at Hexside…
The students and teachers were still talking about the Half witch Princess as Gus, Willow and Amity tried to tune it out.
"Yeah, yeah, big shocker." Amity sighed, since she and others knew the truth, there was no surprise and the constant talk about the reveal.
"I'm still pretty bummed that the party was cancelled. It sounded like a lot of fun." Willow sighed as she was excited to go to the party.
"Yeah, I wanted to meet her dad formally and the rest of the Coven Heads. I was hoping to pick their brains on the magical studies and the human realm." Gus squealed.
"Do you think when Luz comes to school that people will be trying to kiss up to her, are stunned or try to run away so they won't get punish?" Amity asked as she looked at the door.
Well, she was right on all three as her friends acted as bodyguards, even when Luz had her bodyguards.
Bump was still having headaches about that. Even so, it's a high honor to have the children of the Royal Family attending this school. Even with the school's scandal…
At the assembly…
Everyone in the school was there as Bump stood behind the Palisman, ashamed and afraid.
"Would anyone like to tell me, what is the point of Grudby?" She began as a hand rose up.
"To… win?" Boscha answered only infuriating her.
"WRONG!" She boomed then slammed her staff, "Anyone else?"
Everyone was hesitant but Willow raised her hand.
"So, see the true nature of a witch?"
"Yes, to see the true nature of players. For in the game can reveal things to a person that we didn't even know. For some… they have earned the respect of the Emperor and the Nine Covens themselves."
She then flashed a smile towards Luz and those who played on her team, Amity blushing while her leg was still in a cast.
"While others… even others not playing brought great disappointment to him."
Boscha ducked her head, while the students and staff gulped.
"Will the two teams come forth? I wish to tell them what I have seen."
They did just that as Luz carried Amity, then sat her on a chair to rest her leg.
"I will start with this team."
Luz and the others got straight.
"Luzura Noceda, you are what we call the Heart of the Battalion, one who rallies, invigorates, and motivates their fellow warriors. It was thanks to your encouragement and refusal to accept the unacceptable that make you a great ally and a great friend. Though, you may want to work on your overconfidence. Try not to get over your head, my dear."
Luz chuckled nervously as she ruffled the back of her head.
"Augustus Porter, you are what we call the Tremendous Tactician, one who can think five steps ahead and can study your foes with great interest. But your true strength is your ability to understand and obtain wisdom. You're young and gifted, yet you have much to learn. Always keep that mind thirsty and use it wisely."
Gus scratched his cheek as he blushed.
"Willow Park, you are what we call the Bold Billmen, one who is strong, brave, never to give up without a fight, and willing to defend the weak and defenseless. Even when you wish not to battle, you will not hesitate to come to your friend's side. Bring out that confidence more often."
Willow looked inspired and gave a salute to the Palisman.
"Amity Blight, you are what we call the Chivalrous Knight, one who comes to aid and rescue their own, a hero with a powerful heart and sense of justice, you will always come to the aid of your friends and loved ones, even when you have suffered greatly."
"Great Avian Advisor, please forgive me for interrupting you but I am not worthy of your praise," Amity confessed with her head bowing.
"Amity…" Luz gasped.
"Oh?"
"Ma'am, I am nothing but a coward, I refused to participate in the Grudby match because of my own failures in the past. I am nothing but a coward, I am afraid, afraid of myself and how I could affect my team." She admitted.
"Which is why you deserved praise. A mark of a true witch is not their great power but the fear of that power. For fear is what would ground them, and make them stronger to wield such power. You may have seen that fear as a weakness is truly the greatest strength of a witch. Those who do not fear their power or themselves with it, don't deserve such power. Take that lesson to heart."
Amity teared up a bit and bowed to her.
"Now…" Parfait left the team to the other as the disappointment was clear on her face.
Boscha hoped to be praised as well.
But that would not be the case.
"You lot have proven what not to be and how not to act."
Their hearts stopped.
"Your team, the people who supported you and your actions, including students and staff…"
The staff and students cringed at this.
"Is a complete disgrace to your school and to the isles."
Ouch.
"Behold."
The staff she wielded began to glow, while it rang its magical bell as it projected what had happened. How teachers and students caused ridicule and abuse to the team.
"This is not the way of the covens, we are to unite as one, not to splinter each other!" Blue angrily announced as everyone cringed at the sight and more that the covens found out.
"P-please, Lady-." One of the teachers pleaded.
"SILENCE!" She boomed as she slammed her staff again, "You have shamed the isles and disrespected the teachings of the Covens. Because of this, the emperor is questioning your right to guide these youths as you turn them into vile delinquents! You, children, should know better than this too, you are expected to help one another, and yet you tore them down!"
Everyone was shivering as she kept going, knowing her words were the emperor's expectations.
"By doing this, you not only humiliate the good name of Witches and Demons, but you have also weakened us greatly! You should be ashamed; you have all become disgraceful." She sneered then went to Boscha, "And you are the biggest disgrace of them all."
"I'm… a disgrace?"
"Blue-." Luz gasped as she had never seen Blue like this.
"You are supposed to be a role model for the other students, yet it was you who turned them on your fellow students. The emperor is displeased, and it is because of your actions that caused this." Blue coldly informed, "I am telling you this so you can deter from that path. Now tell me, why did you do this?"
Boscha bowed her head, and her eyes widened.
"I asked you a question, young lady. Why did you do this?"
"…I was jealous." She whispered.
"Speak up!"
"I WAS JEALOUS!"
Her voice echoed throughout the gymnasium as everyone was silent.
"Willow, she got attention, people wanted to be her friend, and she wasn't even a strong witch or a player! Just another faceless student!" She admitted as Blue frowned.
"That is a rotten way of thinking. Because of your actions, letting your own jealousy control you, you have proven lesser than your peers. Unless that changes, you will remain a disgrace." Blue warned then turned to everyone else, "This is a warning to all of you too! This will not continue! Emperor Belos will assure changes to the school, whether it be replacement of teachers…"
They were going to pee themselves with that news.
"Or transfer for those to juvey…"
The students were trying not to cry.
"But changes will be made, and this school will restore its honor or crumble with its own arrogance. I suggest you all go home and meditate on your failures." Blue advised, "Dismiss!"
Everyone slowly moved out after hearing what they said, Boscha had to be pulled out by her friends as she was too shocked to move, while Luz's friends think about what Belos thought about them and feel a sense of pride and guilt for everyone else got in trouble. Only Luz and Blue were left.
"Blue, why did you do that?" Luz questioned.
"Being a leader is not a pretty thing, Luz, but it has to be done. If this wasn't nipped in the backside, then things would have gotten worse, and we cannot have that. Actions have consequences and that must always be enforced. Belos thinks so too." Blue answered, "Once you're older, Luz, you'll understand."
She then left, while Luz still felt that the punishments were too harsh.
Maybe there should be a change, not with just how others treated each other or rules, but how punishments are made.
Blue promised changes and there came a lot.
There were cuts to the sports team, firings of some of the facilities, and high surveillance to be sure that no more screw-ups happen.
They got off really lucky, otherwise, Belos could have replaced all of them if he wanted. Also, he decided that a Coven Head would teach the children each other week some secrets in the magical arts. Belos informed them that it would bring more discipline and culture, so the children could better understand their roles as witches and demons.
"Forgive the chaos of the students. They were a tad excited upon your arrival." Bump apologized.
"It's nothing, we get that a lot. It's just part of being members of the Royal Family." Spade answered.
"I would like to give you your schedules for the semester. Hunter, your first class will be Plant. William, your first class in Potion, and Spade, your first class in Construction."
Bump then handed them the rest of their multitrack studies.
"Why do I have to get Construction first?" Spade whined.
"Because you blew up the fireworks storage last week. Uncle thinks you need a few constructive teachings to balance you out." Hunter informed.
"I said I was sorry." Spade huffed.
"Sorry won't bring back Construction Coven Head Mason's chest hair," William added.
"Ew." Luz shivered.
"Anyways, I hope you enjoy your stay here and learn plenty for the future." Bump bowed as the students went to their classes.
