As for Abandoned001-...i am just gonna assume that wasn't for me, as looking at the link to the...interesting, let's call it, fanfic had the same review

Chapter 2

*Ding*

I was once more startled when I heard that sound effect, I looked at my list of perks

Instant Access (Free for All)

Body Mod Reward (Free for All)

Huh, those are actually incredibly useful, one lets me to transport and get stuff from the warehouse that I may or may not have in my first technical jump, while the other makes every perk and item in my first list part of my "Body Mod".

Absolutely loved it, made me happy you apparently got these two for free for finishing the Generic First Jumpchain.

Alright then, I went through the sheet again, I went to the bottom after making sure the number of points is still the same, and reading the introduction told me it would be three years before the start of canon.

In the Drawbacks, sadly it was limited by +800 extra points, so I selected the drawbacks with that in mind, first ones was The Glory Days and Long Haul, I would like to start a little bit before the mass sueings on the heroes, as absurd as that sounds.

It was free, and I thought it would be interesting to actually build up a reputation before anything else, even if the origin of the jump would've provided something on that.

Of the ones that actually required payment, I only took up Wicked! [+100],and…weirdly "Special Needs" Babysitter [+200].

Didn't like any other option, so I ended only taking up those, my previous perks should help me with the babysitting duty though, I had younger siblings to take care off, so I had experience, it's the superpowers that I might have to worry about.

But with Boredom Immunity and Self-Motivation, I should be able to get through this relatively fine, it's the super dangerous ability that will require an extra eye on.

Going back to Origin, I selected Super without much pause, I could play villain in multiple other worlds like MHA, where I didn't particularly like the part where they pretty much made the word "hero" the equivalent of a celebrity police officer.

I was kinda annoyed that I was apparently gonna end up older than I actually was when I died, but decided to suck it up and have the screen dice roll.

Apparently I was 39-, wait what?

I was currently looking at the stat sheet that tracked my name, age, perks, items, etc, and I…was twenty one?.

Oh wait, it took into account that I was gonna start 18 years earlier, so naturally I too would be younger, that made sense, and made me less salty of the fact my age was sped up.

Despite the fact it cost 200 points, I felt "I can handle anything this baby can dish out." [200, Discount Drop-In] was justified since the child getting injured was end of the jump for me, so this will only improve my odds.

I was wondering what was exactly stopping me from already having "The National Supers Agency." when I arrive since it's literally the government's way of helping heroes…maybe I needed to prove myself or something?

I left the Designer Perks alone for now, it's nice, but I can see this list having something nicer, as I went to the Supers section and got the free one, for obvious reasons.

Going through the list, I bought "We're superheroes. What could happen?" [400, Discount Super], "Your identity is your most valuable possession.", Teleportation [300], Dimension Four [200, Requires Teleportation], and Molecular Density Transformation [400].

Kinda glad Super granted me an extra 300 points on superpowers, but sadly a lot of the powers that were very amazing weren't discountable by being a Super.

That left me with 200 points though

The Super Suit [Free], was free thankfully, and while I could be missing out on some neat items, I think upgrading it is the way to go.

I ended up only taking Luck Favors The Prepared [200, Discount Designer], as it would benefit me now and later down the line, so that was all I could purchase in all of this.

Sadly, I kinda needed all of this, even the babysitter perk, as it would help me against the drawback, the other perks are a necessity to be a decent hero. I'm kinda sad I couldn't pick up either the inventing or suit designer perk, those would have been sweet.

But all in all.

I was ready

I then felt my vision vanish, as I finally fell asleep.

I dreamed of a series of events, almost like a movie that was put under 10x speed, except so much faster, I could perfectly understand each event, and I could feel the emotions of each of these…memories?

Though the older the memory the fuzzier it was, which all in all made sense, though I was very much surprised at how similar this John was to myself, both in personality and life.

There were a few differences here and there, as in things like, the parents were different, but had relatively the same personalities, same jobs, his personal experiences with school were relatively the same.

Though this time around instead of going for truck driving to build up enough money for college without taking a loan, he decided to risk it, took an early start to college, learned it under three years, and for a few years of freelancing programming managed to pay back his loan.

Honestly it being around 1960 was a blessing since he believed he recalled it being high in demand at the time, but still…it being so similar other than a few things was very convenient.

Same childhood piano practices, karate classes, Sunday churches, etc.

What stood out like a pink elephant in the room were the superpowers, those were quite fascinating pieces of memory, no matter the circumstances of those situation the memories came from.

Ramming my face into a wall with teleportation, crying to myself in confusion when I got myself stuck in another dimension, I particularly shivered at the memory where I shifted my molecular density to be lighter when striking a bully which caused my arm to break from how fragile it became.

Thankfully the superhero division of the government dealt with those messes.

It was then that I woke up, I opened my eyes to the new world I found myself in, I could hear the traffic below, looking down I realized that I was leaning against a railing on the roof of a building.

I was wearing all black, red accents, it covered my head almost entirely, with the only thing showing was the eyes and some skin around it, high collar, in fact it kinda looked like I was wearing two pieces of clothing, one a jumpsuit that was entirely black, while the second one was the collared, red accented, sleeveless piece that felt heavier, probably the main protection piece.

It was snug and tight, but not by much, I felt it, but it wasn't constricting in any way, it all kinda gave me impressions that the style is Asian or Japanese in Origin, something I would assume an assassin or a shinobi/ninja to wear.

Looking at it, a memory popped into my head as I remembered talking to madame Edna, he especially recalled how adamant she was that the final piece did not include capes in any way.

But overall, when it came to super suits…he was both impressed and very happy with it, especially when he knew that this stuff is bulletproof and nearly indestructible.

That's right.

He looked back to the street below, he scanned the road from car to car, he watched as people went about their day, he imagined they were quick to go home seeing as it was quickly becoming late, as he saw in the corner of his eye a clock on his wrist that told him sit was nearly eleven in the afternoon.

…this was his first day on the job, he wanted to make an impression, but he has been here since noon, he must've dozed off as he was waiting.

Then he woke up here, taking up the mantle of this version of him, or it was him, and all of that was just the background that the Jumpchain provided because he wasn't a "Drop In".

It was then I heard a police siren in the distance, as well as gunshots, I turned and I saw police lights flashing in the distance, from here it looked like a chase.

Already? I guess I'm not gonna complain, I smirked, as I got on the railing, and jumped, and felt as gravity took hold, as there was wind all around me.

Instantly I lowered my density to a very low degree, to the point I became gas, I felt myself slow down, checking the crime wagon that is a speeding car, I could see they would be here around half a minute.

Suddenly, the bottom of my boots had flames coming from beneath me, propelling me forwards to the vehicles that were ahead of me.

I'm really glad that rocket boots were part of my suit as per "customized to work with and complement any powers you have".

They're nowhere near as useful as the rocket boots and ion propulsion gauntlets would've been, since I would imagine they were intended to get around in the air AND still uphold the person's full weight.

Mine can't do that, they were compact, but were never gonna be capable of lifting me of my normal weight, let alone my high end density, the fact it can keep me in the air when I am essentially made of gas and keep me around 40 mph is goddamn amazing piece of tech from something that isn't bulky and couldn't be told apart from another pair of boots.

I came around to be close to the quickly approaching car that was being followed by police cars, I turned around and flew in the same direction of said vehicle, and once I was lined up I lowered myself down.

Thank God I had "We're superheroes. What could happen?" it's giving me instinctual knowledge and talent/skill in controlling my aerial movement that my boots gave me.

I lowered myself to the window of the two would-be criminals, and let out a one-liner first-timers usually do in this situation, "seems you are having an exciting night fellas," I said with clear amusement as I flew next to them.

The driver was spooked and immediately shouted, "not a damn SUPER!," as he took out a gun while his other hand is on the wheel, and tried to take a shot at me.

I kinda anticipated this happening, so by the time the driver has had his gun point at me, my hand managed to grip onto the other end of the gun and move it slightly away to the wall of the building behind me, of course not gripping the barrel of the gun, as the gun went blazing.

Unfortunately, the passenger who at the time was too busy shooting the police, finally took notice of me thanks to my comment and his partner's cry, and started shooting me, with no way of me misdirecting it.

Thankful, it still wasn't an issue.

I felt the bullets go through my face and chest, as my body temporarily became gas, as the bullets passed harmlessly passed me as I reformed back into shape, though I did feel the impact and I did go temporarily blind as my eyes became gas.

My Molecular Density Transformation is kinda tricky to utilize, too light and you can't really move around effectively without much weight if you aren't using some sort of assist like my boots, but at the same time too much density and it's hard to stop your momentum.

Not light enough? While I am fast, if I'm hit I would get severely injured, more so than it would be normally possible, too heavy? I dropped right through fragile substances like a glass roof.

The issue here?

The driver moments later managed to break his gun free from my grasp, not as in he had better strength and managed to pull it away from my own, but as in the pressure of the guy trying to free his gun was too much for my fingers which caused them to also become gas.

Gas form gave me so much, from assisted flight to what practically amounted to intangibility, but in turn, I can't really attack, there's nothing behind my attacks when I strike, I might as well be giving them a love tap.

Not wanting to give them another chance to blind me and potentially shoot a pedestrian, I utilized Teleportation, to quickly get in front of the vehicle, on the hood, just at the very edge of it.

And completely dropped my weight to the highest density I could manage. At the moment, I would say I weighed like an elephant, and while I couldn't jump…

Instantly the engine stopped working as I dropped on it, crushing it slightly, and managed to flip the car onto it's top, I made sure that as it was flipping, I was keeping my feet on the actually road, slowing it down, and making sure that it didn't cross over into different lanes.

And when it did stop, I teleported into the vehicle itself and took the guns, while the two were too dazed to realize they should be holding onto them tighter, and teleported out.

Getting back outside, the police came out of their vehicles, guns out but not aimed, two of them jogged up to me and took in the rolled over car and took a curious look at me.

"You a new Supe?" one of them asked, slightly out of breath, probably from the and relive pumping in their veins.

I nodded, as I crossed my arms and looked at the vehicle as the other cops came over and started to drag the two out of the wrecked car, "indeed, first night in fact, I would say I did decently," I smiled.

The other cop chucked, "Can't argue with that, no offense to the other heroes, but the first timers in cases like these tend to get the vehicle crashed into other cars, in some cases off the road and into buildings,".

As we were speaking, another group of people arrived, this time there was a man that was professionally dressed, and was being followed by a camera man alongside several other people with their own equipment.

"Just in folks, the vehicle pursuit of the two criminals that made out of the Bank of Municiberg were caught up and stopped, but not by the officers on the chase, but seemingly by this man, a super by the looks of it," the man spoke to the camera, microphone and all.

At this point I got the hint that we were live, and that I officially made my depute, the man turned to me, and asked, "sir!, if you wouldn't mind what is your name?," he asked before pointing the microphone to my mouth.

I stood there for a moment, that honestly felt like a minute, as I thought of a name, all names in the Incredibles we're kinda cheesy, so I kinda stuck with their theme, something similar but I kinda like,".

With a smile that never left my face, I answered, "you may call me, PhaseOut"

"I can handle anything this baby can dish out." [200, Discount Drop-In]: Can't you? When it comes to children, you have an inexplicable talent and determination in caring for them. You'd be an excellent babysitter in general, but this really helps you most with superpowered children. You'll be able to handle caring for even the most wildly powerful kids. Entertaining and protecting the child, reducing property damage to a minimum, and even playing Mozart for them. Of course, you may be run ragged and collapse at the end of the day, when you're no longer responsible for the child. But you handled it.

"Jammering, yeah!" [100, Free Super]: Your archnemesis has you on a platter, ready to destroy you and put his plans into action unopposed... if only he'd shut up and stop yammering on with his monologue. You're ridiculous good at goading your enemies to launch into entire prepared speeches about how feeble you are, how inevitable your defeat is, and how the world will soon be theirs... As long as you don't use this window of opportunity to take action against them, of course.

"We're superheroes. What could happen?" [400, Discount Super]: Super indeed, it's not all about powers after all. You've gotten training and talent in anything and everything you'd need to be a successful Superhero. You know how to infiltration bases and location, how to fight in combat with or without your power, how to fly a plane and pilot most any other vehicle, you even know everything about the law you could possibly need to apprehend your villains. And keeping in fighting shape? Child's play for you.

"Your identity is your most valuable possession." [100, Free Super Kid]: Protect It. Here, wear this domino masks, or visor, or scarf. Things like these will now completely obscure your identity if you wish with only a little bit of effort and the barest cover of your face. Even if someone should be able to easily recognize you, despite your covered cheekbones. Not even things like face-recognition software would help, only registering you as you Super persona instead of your secret identity.

Teleportation [300]: Through use of this ability, you can teleport yourself to another location within a few meters range. This may not seem like much, but it can be used in rapid succession without disorientation for extremely fast movement.

Dimension Four [200, Requires Teleportation]: Instead of simply teleporting to another location, you can teleport into another dimension. While within this other dimension you are invisible and intangible, but can be heard and can hear others through this dimension. Without specialized technology, it would be impossible to track you while you are in this other dimension.

Molecular Density Transformation [400]: You can alter your personal density at will, from gaseous to several dozen times denser than usual without changing in size. This allows you to float around by becoming a lighter-than-air density, or become much more durable by increasing your density.

Your Best Friend (50cp):

Smartphone (50cp):

Security Pass (100cp, Free or Discount for The Tourist ):

Randomized (+100cp):

Long Run (+100cp):

You'll be able to fight crime and supervillainy together with Frozone, Mr Incredible, Elastigirl, and many more... For about three years, before the movement against Supers starts. Supers and Designers taking this may choose to set their fifteen years younger than usual.

The Long Haul [+0, requires the The Glory Days]: Or your could go for both time periods. By picking this, you stay is extended to the normal end date, effectively adding 15 years to your stay for a total of 25 years here. Albeit most of those added 15 years won't be quite as exciting as the Supers go into hiding.

Wicked! [+100]: Whenever you do something that would look cool, unusual, or just odd, you'll always have a kid on a tricycle to comment or a full crowd to do the same. And rumors will spread from there. This may seem like a great reputation boost at first... But when people are still talking about that time you dented your car weeks or even months later, you may think otherwise.

"Special Needs" Babysitter [+200]: Congratulations, since Kari is currently unavailable, you are now Jack-Jack's replacement sitter. You'll have to keep these babies safe and unharmed while you're on the job, despite their best attempts to get into trouble and the many different superpowers they'll exhibit to make things difficult for you. If any of your charges are injured or even killed on your watch, you'll lose the chain as if you had died.
