The impact from Amity crashing was intense that Jaune was knocked out for a short while. While there were safety measures meant to ensure that the coliseum would be able to brace for any sort of impact in events like these. However, that does not change the fact that the panic and negativity of the people in the crowd are now attracting the Grimm. With those who had failed to survive or are now lost somewhere in this wreckage, there was no denying the level of negativity that would ensue. Atlas soldiers—which are few, most are the machines that have been hacked—did what they could to instill a sense of calm and order in the people but both Grimm and hacked machinery are making such a thing too difficult. Huntsmen and huntresses are more focused at gathering themselves and their immidiate surroundings with only a few of them at the moment shifting their attention towards the civilians. Everything was chaos.

"Yes general," Jaune could heard Penny speak. He was currently on his stomach, groaning from having braced for impact. "Understood. I am unaffected thus far and will engage with the paladins."

Jaune struggled to get to his feet. He was uninjured for now but his aura was, without a doubt, dangerously low. If he were to estimate it, it would be in the red with only the slightest ticks to indicate any aura at all. That meant that Jeanne was out as well.

"I'm sorry Jaune," said Jeanne. "Focus on yourself for now. I will be an extra pair of senses until we can afford it."

Everything around him was chaos. The civilians, unprepared and untrained for moments like these, are stampeding as they tried to rush themselves outside. Those that did not rushed to their loved ones in the hopes that they somehow survived. Huntsmen and soldiers, stretched thin, are split fighting the Grimm that had just arrived and the hacked Atlas tech while also trying to escort the panicking masses who weren't listening to them. Each shot fired from their guns were careful and sparce. There was a risk if they shot the civilians and their aim was foiled because someone was in a panic and thus couldn't think well at the moment. The combination of these things only served to fuel that negativity.

"The one with the microphone did this," said Jaune. "They planned this. They must the ones that the headmaster mentioned." As he stood, he nearly fell back down. His legs were wobbly at the moment. He used his sword and shield to help him stand

"There a few who are injured but can still move," said Jeanne. "The professors have already arrived. Professional huntsmen who weren't on Amity are probably on their way as well. Assuming they aren't being held back by Grimm and paladin."

Pyrrha, Ren and Nora had arrived, weapons all drawn. Pyrrha looked better already. He supposed that the danger of the situation would have removed any and all illness she may have felt.

Jaune wasted no time but was definitely grasping for air. "Nora, Ren, get whatever injured you can out of here. Pyrrha, crush what hacked paladins you can. Atlas will probably let us get away with that."

"And you, fearless leader?" Nora asked. "What will you do?"

"I'll get as many of these people out as I can," he replied. "There is little I can do against the Grimm and my aura is far too low. I'll only be a liability."

Team JNPR nodded and split once more. Pyrrha had joined Jaune as she used her semblance much more liberally, all the while protecting him however she can. Crushing the hacked Paladins as she paved the way for Jaune to assist in the evacuation. The panicking masses were still stampeding their way out. He can't rely on the loud sounds of gunfire to protect them as Amity was filled with them at the moment and they were flying in all sorts of directions. What he did have was a shield that could at least protect him and whoever was next to him from one direction. It wasn't much but it will have to do.

With his shield out, Jaune had to be a little forceful as he made himself into an umbrella as he was tried to keep the civilians in a file. At least, as much of a file as the hallways could allow. While there were those who barking orders, it felt worthless to anyone not directly next to the person shouting. The threat of hacked Atlas machinery was decreasing as Pyrrha's semblance essentially turned them against each other. Penny was there as well. Those swords of hers must have been either really sharp or really blunt to be able to go through metal like that. There was probably a weak spot somewhere around where the joints of those machines would be.

Ruby had also appeared. With her semblance, she brought the many injured in less than half the time it would have taken if they were carried by anyone else. Rose petals littered the ground as the hallways were being thinned slowly with her carrying one or two at a time.

Jaune started to breath a little better. Yes. There was still panicking. There were still Grimm that were attacking. But they were gaining ground. They were gaining their momentum. As he looked around, many are now more focused on getting the injured out than defending them. Civilians still not part of the crowd were either running for the safety in numbers or are being forcibly done so by soldiers and huntsmen alike.

He sighed relief when he managed to find Gillian. She had a bruise on her head and was bleeding but she was walking. Her hand held her mother's own as Mrs. Rais was being carried by Cardin Winchester of all people. With him were Russel and Dove, escorting what civilians they can while taking a few shots against the griffons. They were led by Professor Mulberry who guided many other students.

"Must have been the end of it," Jaune commented. Was he out long enough?

"We're moving quickly," Jeanne corrected. "It was probably not in their plans and so had to make hasty changes. It probably wasn't as effective as whatever plan that they had concoted before."

A solider shouted. "That's the last of the civilians. Fall back! Fall back!"

Jaune followed suite. Atlas machinery are practically useless now as most have been destroyed. The Grimm were also low in number. They were the last ones out of the arena. Some have opted to stay in one of the rooms, choosing to barricade themselves and tend to the wounded. Amity provided some cover against the Grimm and hacked machinery even in this state. When the huntsmen and soldiers managed to leave the colosseum, a perimeter was already made and still being extended as soldiers and huntsmen pincered the Grimm and the Paladins outside.

At the helm was General James Ironwood. "Hold your ground!" he barked. "Hold your ground!"

The soldiers from inside the colosseum joined with their fellows as huntsmen and huntresses blasted their way from the side. Jaune himself stood in front of them with his shield up front, filling the gaps of their fortifications that consisted mostly of debris and destroyed Paladins. From there Jaune could take a breather as he only needed to stay kneeled and hold out his shield, no Grimm came near as the soldier that moved near him fired continuously.

"Alright, time to recover what little aura I can," Jaune said as he focused on himself. He had precious little, not enough to let Jeanne manifest fully but enough that whenever a Grimm did get close, Jeanne's banner was there impaling them as they tried to get across.

Amidst the increasing gunfire, Jaune could hear Nora's grenades being launched. She was deliberate with her shots, aiming for where the Grimm are most concentrated. The resulting explosions along with other attacks that covers large areas cause many of the remaining soldiers to roar. That was good. That was an increase in morale which meant a decrease in negativity. The Grimm horde had begun to thin that much that many huntsmen and a few soldiers jumped over the makeshift wall and push forward. Jaune did the same. His sword hadn't been used much yet.

"Dad!" Jaune shouted at the sight of his father. He had just decapitated a Beowolf. He had a sword and shield as well, though not the same as Crocea Mors. When Jacques had seen him, there wasn't a face happier in all of this chaos.

"Jaune!" Jacques Arc responded. The two Arcs held one another in an embrace. "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine. What's going on here?"

"Grimm in the city. Ironwood's machines have been hacked—" that much Jaune was able to get on his own. "—White Fang have invaded Beacon." That had gotten Jaune's attention. White Fang? In Beacon? Jaune recalled the words of the Headmaster. He recalled what he had seen beneath the academy.

Jaune slashed at a Beowolf. "Many of the injured are inside the colosseum. We need to get to Beacon."

"Son, no." Jacques stopped him before he could move. "You need to rest and recover. Your aura levels are dangerously low."

"Dad," Jaune insisted. "I have to go to Beacon. I have friends there and they need what help they can get."

"So do you. You can't go there charging on your own."

"I can't not go, dad! There is no time! What they're looking for is in Beacon."

The two stared at one another. Jacques Arc stared long and hard into the eyes of his own son. There were many questions in his father's head, he was sure. He'll have to find some way to explain it to him but right now, there were other things that needed to be done.

"You take care of him, you hear?" he sighed as he addressed his partner. "I know those eyes anywhere. I've seen them before."

"Don't worry sir." Pyrrha nodded. "I'll keep him safe. He has Jeanne as well."

His father nodded. He was steeling himself. The Grimm horde had already begun to decrease here. Jacques Arc still accompanied them as far as he could go. He wasn't about to let them run into danger without at least some guarantee of their safety. Pyrrha semblance made their more metallic enemies more of an annoyance than a threat but that couldn't happen forever as Pyrrha was visibly getting more and more exhausted as they moved closer to Beacon.

"You take care now," Jacques Arc said as he gripped his arm. The expression on his face was clear. "Come back safe, Jaune."

"I will," he reassured him. "On our family name."

Before they could proceed, the ground beneath them began to shake. From a distance, they could see the mountain began to crumble subsequently fall apart. A large Grimm Wyvern had appeared and flew all over the city. As it did so, large droplets fell from it that spawned more Grimm. They were smaller than the others but no less a threat as they appeared wherever.

"Go!" Jacques Arc commanded. He then went back into the thick of the battle.

Jaune and Pyrrha nodded and charged forward. When they had arrived at Beacon, they could see that the headmaster was already there. He was fighting the Grimm when they arrived, a little ruffled but mostly unharmed.

"Headmaster," said Jaune. "We're here." No other words needed to be said, they were already certain on what this would entail.

"Have you made your choice?" headmaster Ozpin asked.

It was Pyrrha who answered, "me. Jaune's aura is far too low for Jeanne to manifest. We also can't afford to experiment now."

Jaune could feel Jeanne's frustration at that. They really couldn't afford to wait here. The headmaster nodded and led them again to the vaults deep beneath Beacon Academy.

A sense of dread descended upon them.

AN: More of an announcement really, but I'll be going through an internship soon. Still will be posting except probably at a different time than usual. If I still post at the same time anyway, then pay this no mind.
