Hey, he isn't dead! He's breathing!
Percy was in pain. Not nearly as much as he thought he should have been in, what with the 'falling several stories on my face ' thing, but pain, nonetheless. He Pulled his eyes open, groaning at the bright sunlight, and turning to the side.
"Yo! You alright man?"
"Water. Please."
"Oh, alright yeah sure hold on"
In a few minutes, Percy felt a bottle pushed into his hands, which he dumped over his head and felt the pain slowly fade. He slowly pushed himself up, seeing a crowd of whispering people above him, and a boy with spiky red hair Grinning at him.
"That was sick, dude! You totally mauled that big pile of metal!"
"Um, thanks. How did I not… Die?"
"Oh, that was birds over here!" The boy reached into a crowd, and seemingly out of nowhere, grabbed a dude who had a bird's head.
"He used his little buddy to grab you!"
"…Little…. Buddy?"
Suddenly, a dark, shadowy, bird-like creature poked itself out of the boy's cloak and waved at Percy
"Heya!"
"Oh, Christ and the Devil!"
Quirks are fucking stupid.
Deciding that mulling over the logistics of an entirely separate sentient being attached to a person's back was a bit too far for him, Percy simply waved weakly
"Well, thanks a lot for the help. I somehow think lacking a head would've hurt my chances for admission so I gotta say I owe you one."
"You are welcome. No thanks are required frankly, your actions had already assisted me greatly, I simply did the same in turn."
Okay, I guess he talks like that.
"Anyway, sorry but I need to go, some of my friends are in another arena. Good luck to you though, hope I see you at the start of the year!"
Ignoring the few yells directed his way, Percy conjured up a flow of water, wrapping it around his legs, which at the moment he doubted would fully support him, and launched himself forward, and out of the arena. Katsuki, he knew would be fine. The thing most likely to hurt his blonde spiky friend's chances of attending U.A. was accidentally or…. Not so accidentally blowing up another.
Izuku, on the other hand….
He loved his friend to death. And he knew he had the determination he needed to be a hero. But the test, from what he had seen, more or less required a powerful combative quirk. Did Izuku have that? Yes. Did he know how to use it? Notably less certain.
Reaching arena 1, he unsteadily dropped himself onto his feet. Taking a few small hops to test his legs, he took off toward the center. There, he saw his shrub-headed friend crouched on the ground.
"Oy, Shrubs! Sorry I'm late, I kinda got knocked out but yeah I think I did okay what abou-"
His arm was broken. Purple. And he was in tears.
"I'm… Sorry, Percy. I didn't… I couldn't get any points. I couldn't… I let you down. I let All might down."
Percy glanced at the shattered remnants of the zero pointer, and back down at Izuku.
"I'll assume you took the big green out?"
"Y-yes, but I wasn't able to-"
"Then you haven't failed me. Or All Might. You knew what throwing that punch would do to you, and you did it anyways, to help people. That makes you more of a hero than I was today. I don't care if you didn't get in alright? There's next year, and I swear it, I will help you, so you are ready for it. You will be a hero, Izuku. I know it."
Izuku already had tears in his eyes, and they grew even more. He rushed up and crashed into Percy, hugging him, without a word.
Percy was in his room. He felt hollow. He knew he had gotten in, for sure. Katsuki did well too from what he had been told. But… Percy did not like leaving his friend behind. At all. There was hope, though. He knew for sure Izuku would have gotten a near-perfect score on the written exam. However…... With a zero on the practical. Something was nagging Percy though. He knew of many pro heroes who would struggle in a test like that. One that came to mind was a teacher at U.A., Eraserhead. Or Midnight. Their quirks were effectively pointless in such a situation and without their support items…. It just didn't make sense.
He couldn't dwell. He had another friend who he needed to check in with. He peeked his head out. Night had fallen.
"you know, this creaky ass factory isn't exactly the ideal living environment for a teenage girl!"
Toga dropped off of a dusty pile of crates, making little noise, bounded toward him, and attached herself to his front. Percy Grunted.
"I missed you too ya little blonde Dracula."
She bit into his shoulder in response.
Time Skip
"At any rate… I know I got in. The training helped a lot, and that's in no small part thanks to you."
"You're the first guy I've met who thanks me for beating the lights out of him on a semi-regular basis. It's hot."
"Uh-huh. Yeah, that's the only thing you find hot."
"You bleed well too."
"There it is."
"Whatever. Round 4?"
"You're on."
Percy hurled himself at one of his two, blonde, insane best friends. She charged right back at him, swinging wildly at him with one of the many knives she always had. (Seriously where does she get all those knives). He ducked and weaved around, trying to throw in a jab where he could, but she was smaller than him, by a lot, and notably faster. But Percy was stronger.
He saw her about to go for his rib and caught her arm. He lifted her over his head, and threw her across the room, before rushing to catch up with her. She righted herself midair but still hit the ground hard, on her feet. Percy was on her in an instant, driving a fist toward her abdomen, but she got a hand in front of it.
Toga let out a grunt of pain from the blow, but retaliated, swiping across Percy's face, forcing him to step back.
"Fuck you're fast."
"You just threw me across the room! You don't get to complain!"
"Fair enough."
The knives were flying at his face now, and she was slowly getting closer as Percy had to put his focus on avoiding them.
She got up close to him and swept her leg, trying to knock Percy over. He saw it coming.
He moved his foot back, and Hammered his arm downwards, striking the girl hard on her head, and knocking her flat on her ass. She groaned, and flopped onto her back, clutching her head, as Percy began to breathe deeply, and sat down next to her.
"You give me headaches entirely too often. Either by being you or by Punching me in the face."
"Technically that wasn't a punch in the face. Plus, you steal my blood like 2 times a week, we're even."
"Fair point, But I still hate you."
"No, you don't."
"No, I don't."
Percy picked up his shirt, which was lying discarded at the side of the warehouse, and slipped it on.
"Damn, I was enjoying that. Ever since you started training with Midoriya, you've been sporting some delicious bruises."
A shiver went up Percy's back. He loved Himiko, But christ was she weird.
Choosing not to comment, he slipped the shirt on and walked over, extending an arm and helping her up, as she used the momentum to push herself into him and wrapped her arms around him in a hug, which he gladly reciprocated.
"you're in U.A. now. Will you still have time to see me?"
"What? Of course, I will! What made you think I'd stop seeing you?'
"It's a hard place to be. You'll be busy all the time. I'm easy to forget about."
Percy looked at her blankly.
"Himiko. You are a homeless blonde vampire. I don't see how anyone could see you as forgettable unless they're from a damn Anime. I'm not forgetting about you anytime soon."
She buried her head in his shirt, and Percy felt her smile.
Percy opened his door and slipped in, taking his shoes off as he did.
"Percy! Your letter from U.A. is here!"
His heart leaped to his throat.
"Thanks, mom! I'll take a look!"
He knew he would get in. He just wanted to know what position he did.
He took the letter to his room, and, with shaking hands, he opened it.
A small metal Disc popped out, shooting out a projection of All might
"AHA! I AM HERE, AS A PROJECTION"
By the Gods, this guy is really just maximum energy 24/7 huh? Wait gods? Why did I think tha-
"Now, young Percy! I am here to tell you of your results, regarding your application to U.A. On the written Exam! You have passed, placing in position 108 of those taking the exam! Not quite the highest, but impressive nonetheless. On the Practical exam! With a Score of 90 Villain points, you have taken the top score, not only in your arena but on the exam as a whole! Along with this, there was a hidden component to the exam, that being rescue points, awarded for aiding students or otherwise heroic deeds. Due to your actions with the zero pointer, you have been awarded 30 rescue points! Congratulations young Percy, with a score of 120, you have achieved the highest score for a first-year applicant to U.A., since I myself was a student here! You have been accepted into U.A high, and I will be one of your teachers when the year begins! I cannot wait to aid you on your journey into the world of being a pro hero!"
Percy took no small amount of pride in his excellent practical score. He would be rubbing that in Katsuki's face, for sure.
He shot to his feet. Rescue points. That could mean… especially with his likely great written scores…. Izuku. He ran out his door.
America- The Ruins of Mount Othrys
A red arm shot out of the rubble. A large, muscular body emerged. Plants began to curl and dry up.
He looked at his arms. Elation filled him. It worked. The death of his brother, Kronos had sent a shockwave into time - one he was able to harness. He had shot himself forward into time, and… he extended his consciousness outward.
Nothing.
Not a single god.
He flew upwards, a burst of flame launching him into the air. Nearby, a human, dressed in a pathetically ugly costume flew towards him, spewing gibberish. The Titan dashed to meet him - faster than the mortal could comprehend - and ripped the head clean off the man's shoulders. The corpse fell to the ground, and a card slipped out of the pocket.
'Tempo, The Aerial Hero'.
'Hero?' Those quirks then. Still around. No matter. He stepped on the body, reducing the so-called 'Hero' to ashes. His fist ground the blackened skull to a fine dust as his eyes ignited.
There was a city of humans in the distance. That would be his first stop. Later. For now, he was far from his full strength.
He had a world to claim.
