"How long will it take till' you do it?" Mordred eyed Shirou. In a way, the Knight of Treachery seemed ready to strike him in the heart if his answer did not satisfy what she wanted to hear.

"I'm waiting for the right time," Shirou replied easily, not even flinching when she threw invisible daggers at him. "All I ask now is whether or not I have the permission to-"

A rough slap met his back. "Of course, you have! If it will make Father happy, then so be it!" it sounded more like a declaration of victory than an acceptance. "But after that, I expect you to legally adopt me!"

"Eh…what?"

"Why what? Make it an equal payment for accepting you as Father's hubby!"

Shirou rubbed his throbbing back, searching for a good reason to decline the so-called 'payment'. "I don't really mind," he started, "But people will find it weird if we adopt you since, you know… And have you think of what you'll call me if I signed up as your parent?"

Mordred was silent at the question. She never gave a thought about it before.

"Will I be your father or your mother?"

"I-Ignore my request, idiot."
