Chapter 5

It was a very odd feeling, seeing a memory through a dream. She was able to feel sensations and move about, but she couldn't react to anything. She was, quite literally, a bystander. Though, this didn't bother her too much. Especially since she had the knowledge that her familiar, that Shirou, was still alive.

However, it didn't make her worry any less when she saw him in danger. Shirou had told her about his summoning of Assassin. It was essentially an accident, born from a wish to continue on to protect his sister. 'Why haven't I seen his sister yet?' She thought to herself, realizing she only saw her once.

She shook her head and focused on the memory. She was standing in front a house. She had seen it in in his memories before. Shirou continually stated that he wasn't a noble, but then she saw things like this house. It wasn't a grand castle or anything like that, but it was almost like a small mansion. It even had walls that surrounded it!

'Hmm, I wonder if it would be possible to build a house like this back home.' She really liked the design of the house. She couldn't explain why, just that she did. She then heard two people approaching the house. She turned and noticed the red knight from the memory where Shirou lost his arm.

Standing beside him was a girl with black hair in pigtails. She was dressed in a red jacket, with what appeared to be a uniform of some kind. It appeared similar to the one Shirou wore when he ran from Rider, though obviously made for a girl. She had to admit, the girl was really pretty, but something about her bothered Louise.

She watched as they were about to turn the corner, but stopped when they saw Shirou walk out of his and into the street. Louise noticed that he was wearing clothes similar to what he wore now, which didn't surprise her. He seemed like the kind of guy to wear the same thing until it wore out.

He was rubbing the back of his head while speaking, "It's alright, see? I told you I would be fine." He said with a reassuring grin. Serenity then appeared next to him, looking at him with wide eyes. She appeared to be wearing a dress over her black bodysuit, along with a purple coat of some kind, one that resembled his sister's.

Just as she was about to reply, her eyes narrowed dangerously. Shirou, picking up on the change, immediately reacted, he considered activating his magic circuits, but held off. "What is it?" He mentally asked her. Louise figured she was able to hear it because they were linked, not to mention it was a memory.

"A servant and a human, probably a master." She replied. Louise noticed Serenity drop one of her daggers into her hand covertly. She knew that Shirou had a knife on him, so she figured he was trying to look harmless. However, she then noticed a small blue bird flying overheard, one that appeared to be one of Shirou's.

She knew that Shirou was deciding whether to run or fight. He was leaning more towards running, as Serenity was an assassin. He then realized, as did Louise, Serenity was still obscured by the wall. Meaning, they didn't see her. He nodded, before she disappeared into the shadows.

Shirou then turned and began to walk out into the street. As he turned to head towards his original destination, he recognized the scent of the one who was spying on him. He let out a sigh, just as the girl and her servant walked out in the open to confront him. Shirou, already knowing he wouldn't be leaving that easily, turned to face them.

"So, you're still alive, Emiya." Rin spoke, almost a bit surprised. "Well, that's good at least. Though, you're leaving me in quite a tough spot." Louise raised a brow, nut understanding what she meant. She watched Shirou rub the back of his head, something she was used to seeing, before he reached for the sword case on his back.

She noticed that it was simply, a purple cloth covering his sword, thinking back on Shirou's words on the reason he carried a knife. The moment he reached for it, the girl's eyes narrowed. "I wouldn't do that, Emiya." She said, simply lifting her hand up and pointing towards him.

"Listen, Tohsaka, I don't know what you want, but I almost had my heart ripped out earlier by some weird woman. Considering you showed up right after, I don't think I feel comfortable just listening to what you say." He replied to her, though Louise noticed the red knight's eyes narrow.

Louise also realized that Shirou was playing dumb. Tohsaka's eyes remained steady, but she let out a sigh at his words. "That's fair, it is a bit odd, but I came here for a reason. I don't know how you're alive, but considering that you are, and have witnessed something you shouldn't have, well, the rules say I need to eliminate you."

She noticed Shirou tense, though she also could feel that Serenity was waiting to strike nearby. However, Tohsaka only let out a sigh. "But, I never liked that rule." She watched Shirou's eyes widen in surprise. "I suppose, I could just remove your memory of the night, but I'll need to keep an eye on you until I do so."

Shirou only shook his head, though Louise could see a slight smile on his face. "I'm glad. You're a good person, Tohsaka. Just like I thought." He said softly, running a hand through his hair as he did so. The small bird then flew down and landed on his shoulder. Shirou tilted his head, before he let out a sigh.

"Thanks for letting me know, Robin. Let her know I appreciate it." He said to it, before Robin hopped up and down while tweeting, before flying away. Louise watched as Tohsaka and the Red Knight's eyes widened in surprise. "Apologies, Tohsaka, I'm afraid I haven't been completely honest with you."

"Trace on." He whispered to himself, activating his magic circuits, causing Tohsaka to tense up and narrow her eyes. She then watched closely, as three foxes began to emerge from the gate to his home, standing next to him. "I'm a mage, like you."

"You're a mage? But, I was sure I knew of the all the mages in Fuyuki." She said, obviously surprised. "Wait, does that mean your sister's a mage too?" She asked, though Louise took note of the strange expression on the Red Knight. Shirou let out a sigh, but she knew what he was thinking.

"She is. I also know about what tried to kill me earlier. As well as the man next to you. The Holy Grail War is about to begin, yes?" He asked, already knowing the answer. Tohsaka looked at him closely, before nodding her head. "Listen, Tohsaka, we have no desire for the grail. Our only responsibility, is to protect civilians. Mine, is to protect Illya."

Her eyes widened at his words. However, the one next to her had something to say. "Rin, despite his words, he is still a potential enemy. It would be the wise move, to eliminate him now and save ourselves the trouble." His face had a slight grin, almost like he was looking forward to fighting. His words snapped Rin from her surprise.

"She would die before you got the chance." His eyes widened, realizing that Serenity had snuck up on him. However, she wasn't targeting him, she was behind Tohsaka. Shirou only narrowed his eyes at the red knight.

"Assassin, it's fine. Besides, he strikes me as the kind of person who knows when he's outmatched." The two heard another voice from behind them, with Tohsaka slowly turning her head. She was met with the skull mask of one of the Hassan, and just past her, was Shirou's little sister and a beautiful blue knight.

"Agreed, Saber. Well, it seems my big brother has been having a rather eventful night." Illya said with in a sweet voice, though Louise noticed Shirou shiver at her words. Louise noticed that Robin was sitting on Illya's shoulder, meaning Shirou already knew. 'So, he was just stalling.'

Assassin didn't move until Shirou nodded. She then disappeared, before quickly reappearing next to Shirou. Louise noticed the nervous look on Tohsaka's face, realizing she was boxed in by two servants, along with two mages whose abilities she didn't know.

"We have no desire to fight, Tohsaka. In fact, I wanted to propose an alliance with you." Shirou said to her, trying to calm her down. However, Rin only looked at him with a strange expression.

"And why would you do that? You obviously hold the advantage here. It would be in your best interest to eliminate me from the war. We're mages aren't we? You should know what that means." She replied. The Red Knight then summoned two swords into his hands, watching both sides.

"Because I like you, Tohsaka." Shirou stated simply, causing her eyes to widen in surprise. "You're a good person, and the two of us aren't exactly normal mages. Perks of being freelancers. However, the main reason, is because we know what's coming."

"What do you mean, you know about what's coming?" She asked, obviously not understanding his words. Louise noticed Illya seemed to be getting impatient.

"The Einzbern's, or rather, what's left of them, are planning on wreaking havoc here with the three final slots. Berserker, Lancer, Archer and Caster are the candidates." He explained to her, causing Rin to understand what he was saying.

"Why would they go so far? And what do you mean, what's left of them?" She asked, however, it was Illya that answered.

"They want to kill Shirou and repossess me." Rin looked back at Illya with a surprised expression. "My name is Illyasviel Von Einzbern, but my father was Kiritsugu Emiya, Shirou's surrogate father. The Einzbern's wanted to keep me from my father, but thanks to some help from the Aozaki family, he came back for me, destroying most of the Einzbern in the process."

"There are effectively two Einzbern families at the moment. The remnants with my grandfather, and the Einzbern's that reside with Shirou and me in the Einzbern Castle." She finished explaining, though it was shocking, Louise noticed that the Red Knight seemed to be more shocked than his master.

'I wonder why? It's almost like his expectations were completely shattered. That doesn't make any sense.' She thought.

"Honestly, with Saber and Assassin here, we can probably handle it. That's not counting our own skills in magecraft. I'd sooner get rid of you now, but Shirou has always been too kind for his own good. So, we'll give you a day to think it over." She finished, before turning and running a hand through her hair.

"Come along, brother, Saber and me are hungry." Shirou only let out a sigh, before shaking his head.

"Sorry, Tohsaka. I really hope you agree. There's something about this war that's bothering me and it's not just about the Einzbern family." He explained, though Louise could feel his anxiety when he spoke. Shirou and Assassin then began to walk forward, followed by the foxes, making their way towards Illya and Saber.

"Those familiars, they're puppet bodies aren't they?" Rin asked as he walked by, causing him to pause for a moment. He turned his head and had a small grin on his face.

"I could answer, but only if you agree to the alliance." He then continued walking, keeping the knife in his sleeve ready. He didn't trust the red servant. Something about him made him uncomfortable. He disliked him the moment he saw him. He couldn't explain it, though he admired his swords.

"You aren't just some orphan Illyasviel's father took in, are you, Emiya?" Shirou stopped for a moment, causing Illya to turn back and narrow her eyes at Rin. "I can recognize well made puppets when I see them. They have a unique magical signature, and there aren't many puppeteers who call Japan home."

"I could have always bought them, you know." He said without turning around. "Besides, sometimes, it's better to be a nobody than a somebody." He finished, before continuing on. He walked over and proceeded to lift Illya onto his shoulders.

Louise watched the scene, before a quick scene flashed, replacing the somewhat calm night, with flames and destruction. Standing in front of her, was a large behemoth, something that could hardly be called a human. It was more of a monster than a human.

The sight caused Louise to stumble backwards, before she noticed Shirou standing next to her, still missing his arm. Behind him, was Illya and Serenity. He was breathing heavily, obviously exhausted. However, his eyes were still focused and determined. "Trace on." He then held up his arm, his crest shining bright.

Steam came from his body, his body heat melting the snow that landed on his body. The same weapon in the large monster's hands then appeared in Shirou's. She watched his mouth begin to move, as light began to overwhelm her. "Nine lives..."

Louise's eyes opened quickly, the sun causing her to squint. She groaned, as she she was actually enjoying learning a bit more about Shirou's past. Though, she didn't exactly like whatever was happening there at the end. 'Just what have you been through, Shirou?' She thought, lazily sitting up.

She let out a yawn, before looking around half-awake. A frown then appeared on her face. 'Where's Shirou?' She thought to herself, though the door opened just as she finished her thought, revealing Shirou holding a tray with the tea he made for her previously.

"Good morning, Louise. I was just about to come wake you." He sat the tray on the table and poured her a cup. Louise had to admit, it was strange to see how Shirou was now, compared to the dreams she was seeing. "Something the matter, Louise?"

"I had another dream about you" A grin then made its way onto his face.

"Well, I'm flattered, but I'm a bit surprised, considering I expected to hear that from Kirche rather than you." He said to her, causing her face to turn bright red. However, the expression on his face reminded her of her dream, of the Red Knight. She turned away, with a huff and a pout.

"You know what I'm talking about, Shirou. Besides, how do you know about Zerbst?" She asked with a glare, causing Shirou to quirk a brow, before rubbing the back of his with a nervous smile.

"Ah, well, I met her about an hour ago while I was training. I must admit, I've met quite a few people in my travels, but never someone quite like her. Of course, I didn't feel like getting in any duels without your permission, so I didn't talk to her for too long." He replied to her, refilling Louise's empty cup as he did so.

"Tch, well good. Normally, I'd make a special rule about speaking to her, but you don't seem to be the type to be easily seduced by that girl." She said, before she commanded Layla to help her change.

"Is there a particular reason why you seem to dislike her?" Shirou asked, turning around and looking at his book.

"The Valliere's and the Von Zerbst family have been rivals for generations. So, needless to say, I don't want her trying to steal you away." Of course, she knew that the chances of that happening were close to zero. Though, with Shirou's friendliness, she had a feeling he wouldn't just outright reject her.

The two then made their way to the dining hall. "Alright, I'll do my best to keep a watchful out. Anyways, you mentioned having a dream about me. Did you want to to talk about it?" Louise looked over at him, noting that he had his usual carefree expression on his face.

"Well, nothing much really happened. It was a continuation of what you told me yesterday. You encountered Rin and her servant." She told him, causing him to let out a small chuckle.

"Oh, that. Yeah, I'm sure she was pretty mad about the fact that Illya and me were were basically two mages hiding in her territory without her knowledge. Thankfully, I managed to get out of the situation without fighting." Louise raised a brow at his words.

"Is that a big deal?" She asked him, wondering about why she would be mad about such thing. Then again, it didn't seem like mages in Shirou's world were very accepting of certain things. She could understand to an extent. Though, what bothered her, were Rin's words about eliminating Shirou for seeing a servant.

"Well, Tohsaka was in charge of the lands that Fuyuki sat upon. Mages usually have to ask permission to settle on said lands, though you also mages who try to take it by force. You see, having lands that are rich in mana is a big deal in my world. Us being there, well, it was a problem."

"Not to mention, if mages came to look for us, it would have caused problems for her, making our problems her problems. There's a bit more to it than that, but that's the basic understanding." He explained, causing Louise to think about the difference in their worlds even more.

"I see, so mages who have these lands are sort of like nobles. They have the authority of who enters and have a responsibility to protect it and those in it." She deduced, though Shirou only let out a small hum.

"You could think of it like that. Though, it takes a bit more to be considered a noble family. I would know, my family's in charge of the lands of Misaki. Not to brag, but our land is considered one of the best, if not the best, spiritual land in Japan." Louise's eyes narrowed. 'Sounds like bragging to me.'

"Rin mentioned something about eliminating you for seeing a servant. What's that about?" She asked him after walking for a bit longer. Shirou only let out a sigh at her question.

"Magecraft is something that is supposed to be kept a secret from the world, for reasons. Usually, if a bystander is exposed to magecraft, they are eliminated." He explained, causing Louise to let out a gasp. She couldn't understand the reason for that, nor could she imagine doing such a thing herself.

"That sounds horrible. I couldn't even imagine going that far for such a thing." She said to him. 'Of course, Shirou did say our magic is different from his. "Have...have you ever done something like?" She asked him, a bit worried about his answer. However, Shirou only let out a small laugh.

"Of course not." He replied, causing Louise breathe a sigh of relief. "I told you, I'm considered a third rate because I'm not a heartless bastard. Pardon the language." He said with a chuckle. "I have wiped memories, thanks to a rune taught to me by my mentor and aunt. Apparently, they found it because my aunt didn't follow that rule either."

Louise looked at Shirou, realizing that his family must be considered troublemakers by the way that he looks at magecraft and his world. 'He always says he's a freelancer, while being pretty carefree and open with his self. I wonder if I'll get to see what his family's like.' She thought to herself.

The two made it to the dining hall, where Shirou once again separated with her, promising to continue talking to her about magecraft when they had free time. Louise's questions and dreams caused Shirou to think about his world.

'I wonder what everyone's doing back home?' He thought to himself as he made his way to the courtyard. He found an open area near the other familiars. 'Hmm, is the a familiar area?' He thought, he shrugged while sitting down with his bag.

He took out his tools and began to work on his current project. "Trace on." he activated his circuits and started. Shirou had analyzed many different kinds of wands and staffs since he arrived in the world. They weren't too complicated, but he had to admit, their function was fascinating.

There were people who could perform magecraft without circuits under the right circumstances, Azaka being the one who came to mind. Unknown to Shirou, but Louise ended up getting the image of a pretty girl with long black hair with blue eyes holding fire in her hands, with one being gloved. The sight caused Louise to flinch at the suddenness of the image.

Shirou shook his head, attempting to refocus his thoughts. 'Focus on the circumstances, Shirou.' He then let out a sigh. 'The salamander glove and her unique ability to control combustion, made her a formidable combatant, even without circuits.'

'With these wands, it would enable the same thing. None of these people have circuits, at least, not that I know of.' His thoughts then went back to Siesta, 'I don't why, but I feel like I should check her. Something about her is different from everyone else.'

Louise's wand had already changed considerably by the time Shirou finished his thoughts. 'I'm guessing it's because this world's laws are different, despite some similarities. However, it's because of the similarities, that I can't allow any of the knowledge of this world return home.'

Shirou then inspected the wand. The clear gem was now embedded into the wand, creating clear circuit-like lines throughout the wand. 'Best not pass any magical energy into it, it needs to bond with Louise.' He thought, before placing it back on the ground.

'I'll need to start training her for the future.' He thought to himself. He reached into his bag, taking out a raven feather. He looked towards the tower, seeing a hooded person watching him. "Cursed with steel." He then threw the feather like a knife, where it pierced the window.

"Tch. It seems this place isn't as safe as I thought it was. Well, not like anyone will assume a familiar can use witchcraft, if they even realize that's what it was, half-baked as it is." He let out a sigh, before gathering his stuff. "I suppose I should track down whoever was watching me."

'What was that?!' was the singular thought running through his mind. 'How did he even see me? The window was across the campus!' He quickly levitated down the tower from a window. 'I was only supposed watch and report the familiar summonings, not deal with stuff like this.'

The cloaked man landed on the ground next to a horse. He needed to run. He had to get back to the camp and get everyone to relay the information about what he had seen. 'A human familiar, as well as one who can use some kind of weird magic. That has to be worth something, right?'

As long as he was able to make it to the forest, he would be safe. He rode for a decent distance, even making it to the edge of the forest. 'His master should be getting ready to finish breakfast, so he can't follow me.' He thought, feeling like he was in the clear.

However, the moment he got off his horse and looked back, he saw the familiar who threw something at him. He was stepping off of the back of a blue dragon. 'What?! How?!' He watched as the man said some words to the dragon, when it nodded and began to fly back.

He was about to turn and run, however, a white bladed dagger pierced his heel. He let out a pained yell, hoping there was someone at the camp who could hear him. 'It doesn't matter what kind of magic you use, I'm a triangle mage.' He thought, grabbing the wand from his jacket.

Shirou had a few questions in his mind. The main one being, why did the blue dragon seem so friendly? He was prepared to steal a horse, but the dragon came up and offered itself to him. Of course, Shirou wasn't going to decline a free ride, however, he could tell the dragon was still young.

He didn't want it to see what he was about to do. Familiars were something he was very used to dealing with, so he knew better than to subject it to violence at a young age. Shirou studied animals and phantasmal beasts enough to know how smart they were.

Dragons were considered one of the mightiest, as well as one of the smartest. So, he sent it back so it wouldn't get in trouble. The second question, why were there spies in the school? Granted, he didn't know the politics or the situation of the world, so there could be a war going on and he wouldn't even know.

'Well, I suppose I could interrogate them.' He thought to himself. The moment he saw a spy watching him, he knew that it had to do with the fact that he was a familiar. 'I'm an anomaly. Considering that professor's reaction to the runes on my hand, there has to be a something more to my summoning.'

Maybe he was overreacting. It was possible that this was all nothing more than spies watching a rival country. However, he was now a part of this country, so he'd dispose of them for now. 'Besides, maybe it'll cause the person sneaking around at night to expose themselves.'

He noticed it the few nights he patrolled the academy, that someone was wandering around at night, checking the points of the school that seemed to be structurally weak, as well as few easy places that were easy to break into. 'Probably a thief.' He thought offhandedly.

The third question, was this an operation or a one man thing? He supposed he'd find out in a moment. He noticed the man pull out a wand, before he noticed the end of the wand light up. Fire then burst from the edge, multiples fireballs then rained down towards him.

"Trace on." A white bladed katana appeared in his hand, the handle being black and purple with a butterfly on the pommel. Shirou's eyes narrowed as he felt the power of the runes rush through his body. An innate understanding of combat accompanied the power, though, it only added information of styles of combat he hadn't mastered.

The information was useless for the sword he wielded, for he understood it better than anyone. He was the one who forged it after all. It was forged for one purpose, it was the reminder of his servant, bearing the name of Serenity. It possessed no ability, other than cutting what needed to be cut.

Shirou rushed forward and swung at the fireballs, easily slicing through the magic. Just as he did so, a geyser of flames rushed forward. However, with his power, he easily dashed to the side. 'I won't use any magecraft. Let's see how powerful these runs are.'

Another mage appeared, firing wind blades towards Shirou. He imagined the agility he remembered seeing from Serenity, before willing his body to copy the movements. To his surprise, his body answered. Easily jumping and twisting through the blades, though modified to match his body type.

He saw another mage with the one he injured, realizing that he was the one fired the flame after the first wave. Shirou calculated the distance between each mage, before starting towards the wind mage. Water than appeared from his wand, turning into a type of whip that he flung towards Shirou.

'Water manipulation and wind magic.' He thought, before holding his sword horizontally. Shirou positioned himself and the sword perfectly, guiding the blade along the whip of water. The mage's eyes widened, before he attempted to reform the water and attack at Shirou's back.

The moment it did so, Shirou slid forward, allowing the water pass overhead. He swung the sword to the left side of his body, before swinging the sword upwards, slicing the mage across his body. Without stopping, Shirou popped up onto his feet and quickly threw his sword at the second mage helping his injured friend.

The mage noticed the blade coming, his wand lit up, causing the ground to rise up in a wall. The blade pierced the wall, hitting the mage in his arm. Shirou rushed towards the wall, before jumping forward and breaking through with his shoulder. In his hand, was the knife he kept in his arm.

The mage's eyes widened, before he brought his wand up to cast a spell, however, Shirou ran forward at an even faster speed than before, before he threw an overhead punch that caused the mage to fall forwards. However, Shirou wasn't finished, he went the momentum and spun around on his heel.

With a quick movement, almost faster than anyone could see, he threw a kick to the mage's chest, launching the mage straight upwards. The sound of bone breaking could be heard, with Shirou knowing the mage was likely dead. The mage on the ground was stunned by the power, not even being able to move.

Shirou, however, wasn't taking any chances. He quickly threw his knife into the mage's hand, disarming him of his wand. Shirou let out a sigh. "Well, these runes sure are something." He said aloud. "I didn't even need to reinforce myself to accomplish that kick."

He then looked over towards the remaining mage, noticing him trying to make his way to his dropped wand. Shirou let out another sigh. "I didn't want to do that, you know. But, I also don't want anyone knowing about Louise and me. She doesn't need to deal with the darker side of the world just yet."

"Stop, I won't tell anyone, just let me go." The mage begged, though Shirou only shook his head.

"I can't do that. Even if I were to erase your memory, it would cause questions. If I sent you back to whoever with a message, or let you reply to whoever, then they'd likely mess with us anyways. That's how mages are. No, while I don't like it, killing you is easier, plus, if anyone investigates, they won't find anything."

The mage noted that Shirou wasn't lying. He could see disappointment in his eyes. "Besides, it should be kicking in by now." The moment those words hit his ears, he felt his vision begin to darken. "Don't worry, it'll just feel like you're going to sleep. Don't fight it."

Shirou watched as the man took his last breath, before he dematerialized his projections, in particular, Serenity's dagger. He quickly gathered the bodies and retrieved his knife. "Honestly, I never liked killing, but if it means Louise gets to have a slightly more peaceful life, then so be it." He said to himself.

He reached into his pocket, taking out the carton of cigarettes. He took one out and promptly lit it. He wasn't smoking it, he only needed the smoke. He quickly drew a few runes in the air, before throwing it forward and lighting the bodies on fire. "I should hurry back, Louise is probably worried about where I am."

Louise was standing outside of her classroom, waiting for her familiar to show up. 'Shirou, where did you run off to? He usually waits for me after breakfast, but a whole class went by and there's still no sign of him.' She was about to begin to walk to her next class, before she spotted Shirou walking up.

"Shirou, there you are. Where were you?" She walked up with a angry expression on her face. Shirou simply smiled, before reaching into his bag. Louise stopped, before she narrowed her eyes.

"Well, actually, I was just finishing up something." He replied, taking out a small box. "Here you go, I'm sure you'll enjoy what I did."

Louise looked at the box, before taking it. She opened the box and noticed her wand. Or rather, what was her wand. It looked different from when she last saw it. It looked like crystal circuits, similar to Shirou's magic circuits, ran up and down the wand from a clear crystal in the middle.

"I finished your wand. It will store magical energy over time, though it needs to bond with your magical energy first. So, try and start to cast a spell, but don't finish it. It just needs some of your magic in it to adapt." He explained, though he didn't notice Louise looking at the wand.

He raised a brow at her, before noticing the crystal of the wand was turning a different color already. It turned into a black, though there was some sort of ethereal color black, almost glowing white in the middle. He couldn't even really describe it, other than finding it entrancing.

He felt the orange sapphire on his neck reacting, telling him that it was already bonding with her. 'Interesting. I didn't expect that.' He thought to himself. However, Louise only looked up at him with a smile. It was different from all the times he saw her smile before, so much so that it caught him off guard.

"Thank you, Shirou." Were the three simple words she said to him. However, Shirou could feel the weight and emotion behind those words. He had been thanked before, but he never felt anything like he did now. She looked at him for a few more moments, before she turned around.

"Um, you already missed a class, so we need to hurry to the next one. It's starting soon." She said to him, holding the wand close to her. Shirou watched as she began to walk away, before he shook his head and simply smiled.

"Of course, Master." Was his simple reply.

Chapter, finished. I had fun writing this chapter. Though, I will say, I wanted to introduce something new to this. That being the three spies. Now, I will say, those three spies will be the start of a new thing I'm doing with this story. It has a lot to do with some of the stuff Shirou said this chapter, mainly, his worries. So, he'll be facing new problems going down the line, other than what happened in canon. Louise's new wand is special, in case I didn't make that clear. She'll be more special than what they made in her canon. There's a reason she'll be remembered in Shirou's world too, as I mentioned in the summary. I wanted to showcase Shirou and how he fights in this, as well as his knowledge. He can use other types of magecraft, which I'll explain why later. It's tied to his 'screwed up' origin. Also, Shirou's slightly more messed up when it comes to certain things than the other versions. I honestly can't wait until I start getting to the good stuff of this story, which is starting soon. Shirou will be getting Derflinger next chapter, so be excited for that. He'll also be interacting with other characters, a few being Tabitha and Kirche, though Agnes will be showing up sooner than usual. As will Louise's family. So, I hope you guys look forward to those things, because I plan on a certain interaction happening between Shirou and Louise's mom. Louise will be finding out, that Shirou and her similar in some ways soon, mainly being family and expectations. Also, if something comes out as a link, I don't know why that happened. If it happens again, I'll look into it. Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed it. If you have questions, feel free to ask, I try to answer. Don't be a jerk and be constructive, it'll brighten your day to be positive, it goes a long way. I hope you all have a good rest of the day, and, as always, until next time.
