TropesBeDamned says: Why is Bulma's older sister Tights not in the picture?

Answer!

In this universe, the events of Jaco's little spinoff have already happened and she is residing on Omori Island. I'm not really invested in her lore so I kind of forgot lol.

Chapter starts!

Juda stood across from Ziken, putting her hand up and her palm facing forward. Ziken pulled a fist to his chin and one in front of his left shoulder.

"BEGIN!"

Ziken dashed forward, attempting to gain a quick advantage with a jab to Juda's face. Juda deflected the blow with her palm and swung around with her elbow, digging it into Ziken's cheek before kicking him in the back towards the edge of the arena.

The man wiped his cheek and smiled. "Good to see you have some fight in you." Ziken took a step back and dug his two fists into the ground, like an athlete preparing to sprint.

"Rhino!" He dashed forward, creating a few cracks in the tiles behind his feet as he slammed Juda with the full force of his sprinting body. Ziken reeled his head back, his hands holding onto Juda's shoulders before he slammed his cranium into her nose, blood gushing over the tiles.

Juda tumbled backward from the force before flipping to her feet and jumping into the sky, landing a large axe kick to Ziken's shoulder. His posture collapsed under the blow as his knee struck the ground, letting Juda push her advantage with a crescent kick to his chin, sending Ziken rolling over the tiles. He rolled to his feet and stood with one leg in the air, "Crane!"

Juda cringed at the pose before running forward. Ziken hopped into the air, throwing out a swiping kick. Juda slid under the blow before grabbing the extended calf and flipping Ziken over her head into the ground.

He planted his hands on the tiles just before his head hit the ground, allowing him to recover. "Mantis!" His legs sprung forward as his head faced the ground, swiping several times and catching Juda off guard, who was whipped.

The woman slowly slid back towards the edge of the arena, barely stopping a kick that would have knocked her off. "It'll take more than that!" She yelled, pushing away Ziken's foot and lunging out with a palm strike, slamming directly into Ziken's stomach, and flinging him across the arena.

"I will also not go down so easily. HUOOO!" Ziken stood up and Stood in a wide stance, pebbles began to levitate around him as a white aura clouded out from his body.

"THERE IT IS, ZIKEN'S FAMOUS DRAGON FORCE!"

"DRAGON." Ziken breathed in deeply, bringing his palms back, his veins pulsing from effort. Before he pushed them both forward, a current of air blasting through the arena. "FORCE!"

The force collided with Juda as one of her feet slid off of the arena, ruining her balance and sending her over the edge of the tiles. She grunted as the force slammed behind her to the spectator wall, making a small ripple of cracks.

Ziken grunted and fell to one knee, sweat dropping from his forehead while his body recovered from his technique. "WINNER BY RINGOUT, ZIKEN GOFF!" The announcer screamed, earning cheers throughout the audience and a yell from Atom.

Paramedics stepped onto the field and picked both combatants up on stretchers, taking Juda to the medical ward and Ziken back stage. The announcer coughed to regain attention from the audience. "We will be continuing the tournament now… WITH OUR NEXT MATCH BETWEEN ALEK MACT, AND RUBY WILLOW!"

Both combatants stepped onto the ring, Alek holding a serious expression while Ruby was waving out to the audience with a smile. The announcer raised his hands as the fighters took their positions, swiping it down to begin the match.

Ruby smiled, her crimson eyes glowing with might as a red glow surrounded her. Alek stood his ground, preparing for any attack that would come.

The woman held up her hand before flicking it up, launching the tile below Alek into the air. Just before it hit the floor, Alek jumped off of it and landed back on the arena.

"You will be troublesome to fight." He said coldly, rushing forward with a fist drawn back. Ruby flicked her hand up as another tile raised in front of Alek, who slammed his fist through the solid stone with ease.

Alek twisted with his momentum, swinging his leg around to catch Ruby with a roundhouse kick to the jaw. The woman smiled before flicking her finger up, raising her platform diagonally and leaping into the air, allowing Alek's foot to cleanly slice through the tile with tremendous force.

Ruby flipped in the air a couple of times before flinging her finger up to raise a platform to act as a floating arena. Alek jumped into the air and tried to slam his foot through the sanctum, but Ruby moved her hand and the tile swerved out of the way.

Alek landed on the ground with a grunt, digging his fists into the floor and grabbing a tile above his head. "ORAH!" He launched the stone through the air, Ruby dropping control of her first platform to stop the next one.

The man stuck his hand into the floor with a smile, chucking 2 more tiles before leaping behind them, into Ruby's blind spot. Ruby slammed the tile she caught with one that Alek through, crushing them both before catching the final one, where Alek was hanging.

Alek flipped over the stone and slammed his leg over Ruby's shoulder, dislocating it as she plummeted to the ground with a crash. Alek dropped to the floor with the tile and waved away the cloud of dirt, revealing an unconscious Ruby Willow.

"THAT IS RAPS! ALEK MACT IS VICTOR BY KNOCKOUT!"

The audience roared with cheers, making Alek blush and scratch his cheek. "Um, thank you very much for the praise." He quickly ran off of the field, hiding his blush with his hand. The psychic girl was soon taken off the field by paramedics.

"THE FINAL MATCH BEFORE OUR FIRST BREAK, Master Shen, the expert martial artist that founded the crane school versus Master Roshi, the reclusive turtle hermit!" The announcer screamed, this was a fight for the ages, between two of Mutaito's strongest students.

Roshi stepped onto the uplifted arena, settling in a basic stance with his legs wide. Shen stood confidently on the other end of the arena, twirling his moustache.

The announcer could sense the tension in the air as he sliced through it with his hand, both fighters blasting forward. The two masters clashed with their forearms, trading several more blows in rapid succession until Shen pointed his finger forward and screamed. "DODON RAY!" A yellow beam whizzed by Roshi's face, something he barely dodged as he felt the heat next to his ear.

Roshi stumbled slightly and Shen pressed his advantage, throwing out several punches that Roshi managed to slip between, all the while stumbling like a drunk person.

Shen finally landed a hit the Roshi merely rolled around and slammed the back of his fist into Shen's cheek. Shen regained his balance and swung back, Roshi continuing to slip around each blow until her dropped to the floor and swiped out Shen's feet, but he didn't hit the ground, Shen began to float!

Roshi's eyes widened as Shen flipped around mid-air and slmmed his foot into Roshi's chin, flipping him onto the ground. "AHA! You didn't expect that you old hermit now did you?"

Shen floated through the air confidently, standing just 3 metres above the ground on top of Roshi. Shen smirked until Roshi rolled over and put out his hands. "HIYA!" A large blast of air rocked Shen's balance, making him roll through the air as Roshi stood up, rubbing his hands together.

"Thunder shock surprise!" 2 yellow bolts of electricity arced up to Shen, surrounding him in a yellow aura as he began to become electrocuted. "WURYAAAA!" He screamed, the static electricity jolting his nerves all over his body.

Roshi continued the attack for another minute before grunting and letting his hands rest, them being beet red from the backlash from the electric shock. Shen floated in the air, smoking slightly and with his weird bird hat burnt to ash.

Shen screamed in rage, pointing his finger into the sky as a yellow orb formed at the tip. "I WILL NOT LET YOU EMBARESS ME ROSHI!" He yelled, the orb getting even larger until he pointed it down at the recovering Roshi. "SUPER DODON RAY!" The large orb of energy released from Shen's finger, trailing into a humongous beam that engulfed Roshi, and seemed to go through him?

Roshi's visage afterimage faded inside of the attack as his real body flipped up behind Shen, slamming his knee into the old man's back and pointing his fingers into spears and jabbing them across Shen's back.

Shen turned his head around and scowled, "DAMN YOU ROSHI!" He screamed, pushing a shockwave off of his body before jabbing his own pressure points to reverse Roshi's attack.

Roshi flew through the air before recovering and landing on the ground. His glasses destroyed by the shockwave from Shen's kiai blast.

The other fighter dropped to the ground, panting heavily as he ran forward. Roshi dodged Shen's punch and launched a retaliatory one into his gut, that passed through his afterimage.

Shen appeared behind Roshi and put a finger to his back. "Dodon ray." The blast pierced Roshi's stomach and made him gush blood from his wound.

Shen backed off when Roshi's body began to bulge, growing to almost 3x the size. "W-What is that?!"

Shen began to fly up into the air, flinging down stray rays of energy as he was escaping. Roshi cupped his hands into the air, pulling them back as Shen's blasts blew up over his body.

"KA!"

A blue swirl of energy formed, coalescing into a bright blue orb that illuminated the arena.

"ME!"

Shen squealed and pulled both of his hands back, firing a double dodon ray down at Roshi.

"HA!"

The blasts landed and inflicted minor damage on Roshi as Shen smirked, firing dozens more blasts.

"ME!"

Roshi's eyes glowed bright blue, reflecting off of the energy collected for his attack. He stretched out his arms into the sky, his palms cupping the ball of energy until he released it in a humongous beam over the stadium and towards Shen.

"HAAAAA!"

The azure beam slammed into Shen's body, burning some of his skin as the force of the blast carried him across the sky, slowly arcing downwards until they both slammed into the ocean.

"Uhhh." The commentator said into his microphone, looking at where Shen was launched and Roshi was standing, having dropped from his max power form, and was currently resting on the floor.

"Master Roshi wins?!" The announcer screamed, eliciting loud cheers from the crowd who was stunned by the performance moments ago. Roshi stumbled from the arena as the crowd cheered, the two next fighters shrugged while the announcer announced the short half an hour break.

Atom couldn't stop a smile from forming on his face as he got off the couch. Bulma was still watching the stage while Briefs and Bikini were serving drinks for themselves.

"Those were quite the matches." Briefs chirped, handing a cool glass of lemonade to Atom who accepted it graciously. "They really were! Especially that Alek guy, he was a powerhouse!" He replied.

Bulma got out of her seat and took her drink from Bikini, standing next to Atom behind the lounge. "How were they doing all of those things with energy? Like picking up tiles?" She said, looking to her father for answers.

"I'm really not sure, I'm not in the loop with all of the martial arts and spiritual stuff." He responded. Bulma frowned and turned around, Atom following her eyes down to the arena, where workers were replacing and removing broken tiles.

"Want to learn?" He asked. Bulma squinted her eyes and nodded. "A little, it seems useful."

"I'm definitely going to learn it, one day you'll see me up there." Atom said, smiling widely as he thought of his fights, battles and interactions in his previous world.

"Speaking of which…" Briefs chimed in, popping his head in between the two. "I think its about time you start learning how to fight, if you still want to."

"Of course, I do!" Atom yelled, his eyes glowing with fiery determination. Briefs chuckled and put a hand on Atom's head. "I didn't doubt it for a second, but I won't be going easy on you with your studies."

Atom shivered with glee while thinking of the prospect of new training, his first training in this world. A knock at the door stole Brief's attention while Bikini shuffled over and opened it.

"Oh yes, we thought you would be hungry." Briefs mentioned, several platters of food on trolleys being brought in by the tournament staff. Atom's mouth began to leak as he watched the gourmet selection laid out before him.

The tournament staff left the room quietly before Atom began to gorge on food, but leaving more than enough for the rest of his family.

Once the food was finished, the next fights were about to begin. The announcer coughed into his microphone before taking the centre of the newly fixed stage.

"Our next, and final match will be between King Chappa, and Count Lucifer himself!"

The fighters stepped onto the stage with vigor, Lucifer's coat flapping in the wind while King Chappa stood in his stance, a stiff blade form with his left and his fist clenched back by his right side.

"BEGIN!"

Chappa raced forward, slamming his fist into Lucifer, who barely caught the punch before pulling Chappa into a knee strike and throwing him back across the arena.

"Don't ruin the coat." He snarled, putting a single hand up and charging a crimson ball of energy before firing it. Chappa barely dodged with a roll as the arena was blasted away in a cone shaped explosion.

Chappa looked at the destruction and grunted, charging forward and throwing a kick towards Lucifer's face, following up with an elbow using his left hand.

Lucifer blocked the kick with ease and stopped Chappa's elbow with a single finger. He dragged the leg over his shoulder and sank his teeth into Chappa's torso, leeching blood away before Chappa tore himself from Lucifer's grasp.

Chappa looked at the wound and placed his hand over it, licking blood off of his thumb before settling back into his stance. "You're slippery."

Lucifer scowled and blasted another orb of energy at Chappa, destroying another part of the arena as Chappa launched himself to the left, rolling over the tiles and leaping into the air with a kick.

Lucifer caught the foot, but Chappa leaned down, showing impressive flexibility as he flicked off Lucifer's glasses with his fingers, smashing them with his other foot as they flew through the air.

"AGHH!" Lucifer screamed, letting go of Chappa's foot as smoke began sizzle from his face. Chappa didn't waste any time in slamming a mule kick into Lucifer's stomach and flinging him out of the arena.

"WINNER, KING CHAPPA!"

Chappa smirked while Lucifer ran back to the waiting room, huddling his face to hide it from the light. The crow cheered before the announcer shut them down. "I'm sorry everyone, but we must have another short intermission while the ring is rebuilt."

The two next warriors appeared on the stage before the announcer could utter another word. "We shall fight without wait." Ziken and Alek said, staring at the announcer with raw killing intent pooling from them.

"N-N-NEVERMIND! THE NEXT FIGHT SHALL START NOW!"

Ziken and Alek met in the middle of the arena, trading several blows until Ziken leapt into the air, hooking his foot around Alek's neck, and slamming him into other knee. "Monkey!"

Alek reeled back before grabbing Ziken's ankle and throwing him away. Ziken recovered acrobatically before immediately dropping into the splits to dodge a straight kick over his head.

Ziken twirled around on the ground, sweeping away Alek's legs with a double kick while on his back. "Turtle!" Alek planted one of his hands on the ground and pushed off to dodge a second roation, bending backwards to slam both of his knees on top of Ziken's torso.

Ziken coughed up a small amount of blood before Alek jumped back into the air and stomped on his stomach again, causing him to scream in pain.

Alek stepped off of his body and took a few steps back, watching Ziken stumble to his feet and settle into his famous stance. "DRAGON...!" Alek put out both of his hands in front of him, standing in anticipation. "FORCE!" Ziken screamed, a huge current of air slamming into Alek's body.

Alek persisted, shielding his face even as his body began to slip. Ziken groaned and exited his stance, settling into an athlete's running position and blasting off of the ground.

Alek didn't expect the physical attack as Ziken's shoulder slammed into his stomach. Ziken ran across the arena carrying Alek until the warrior slammed his elbow down on the animal's back, knocking him out.

Ziken's body crumpled to the ground, blood slowly pouring from his nose. The paramedics ran out onto the arena and picked up the man. "He isn't dead." Alek said, the two paramedics nodding before they carried Ziken's body away on a stretcher.

Cheers erupted from the crowd once again as Alek retreated to hide his blush, being replaced by Roshi and Chappa. "We also do not mind about the arena." Chappa said to the announcer, who gulped and nodded.

"Final match of the semi-finals, Roshi versus Chappa, begin!"

Roshi looked down at his stomach and rubbed his wound, having barely been closed before his match. "Is your old age catching up?" Chappa mocked, putting his fists up and rushing forward, slamming his hand into Roshi's chest.

The old hermit reeled back in pain before turning around and slugging Chappa with his heel, following up with a palm strike to the neck, which knocked Chappa out. "Aha, I don't think so, at least not yet."

Roshi put up his fist into the air and held out a peace sign. "Hehe! Guess I win!" He cheered, something that annoyed Alek who jumped onto the stage immediately. "No. No just yet you don't. Announcer, can we start?"

The announcer nodded and stepped off of the stage. "Final round between Alek Mact and Master Roshi, begin!" Roshi held up one hand and gestured for Alek to charge, who easily did so and jumped into the air, his foot outstretched to slam onto Roshi's skull.

Roshi rolled out of the way and launched a kick from afar, flinging his sandal to hit Alek in the head. The man growled and raced forward, digging his hand into the ground to flip a tile as he ran.

Alek threw the plate towards Roshi like a frisbee, which he ducked under and flicked his other sandal into Alek's face. With veins visible, Alek threw another tile and charged straight behind it.

This time, Roshi jumped over the tile, planting his bare foot into Alek's face before leaping off to the other side of the arena. Alek growled and his face began to become slightly red as he picked up and threw dozens of tiles from the ground. Roshi easily weaved between them all, rubbing his hands together before sliding under the last tile and outstretching his hands.

"Thunder shock surprise!"

Yellow lightning surrounded Alek as electricity darted around the arena. Alek screamed out in pain but began to move, grunting and foaming at the mouth as he stared down at Roshi.

"YOU. DAMN OLD BASTARD!"

He yelled, swiftly kicking Roshi away, his clothes were in tatters, revealing bulging muscles and a pinkish aura surrounding him. Roshi looked surprised but kept his composure as Alek's muscles continued to swell.

Alek suddenly stopped growing, his eyes red with fury as he stuck both hands into the air. "IFRIT BEAM!" A fiery red and orange ball appeared above his head before he threw it towards Roshi, a trail of flames following it.

Roshi looked behind him and saw the scattering crowd. He frowned and rapidly bulked up into his full power form. "HUOAHHH!" Rohi screamed, putting both of his hands out and stopping the beam in its tracks.

He began to slowly lose ground as his bare feet slid across the stone, but he moved his palms and flung the beam into the sky, creating a hole in the clouds.

The dust settled, to reveal a muscular Roshi holding his burnt palms out with sweat dripping from his forehead, he dropped to one knee and the grass below him paved the way for soft earth to meet his grasp.

Alek sat on the other corner of the arena, his body having returned to its natural form with him laying on the tiles unconscious, his eyes blank. The announcer popped his head up from over the side of the arena, his mouth agape as he looked between the two competitors. "Uh, did anyone see what happened?"

The spectators looked between each other but shook their heads. A loud shouting alerted them to a green haired boy with a tail wrapped around his waist, talking through a microphone in the vip room. "I saw!" He shouted, his right eye glowing bright red. "Alek was out for more than 30 seconds before Roshi was pushed out!"

The announcer looked at the crowd and between the two fighters. "I'll need to check on the recording, give me 10 minutes and we'll be back to announce the winner!"

Ten minutes quickly passed, with the crowd murmuring and talking all the while about who would be the victor. The blonde announcer stepped onto the stage and straightened his suit, tapping the microphone twice to gain everyone's attention.

"After careful consideration… we have decided that Master Roshi, the turtle hermit is the victor of the bout!"

Cheers erupted from the crowd as the announcement rung out, Roshi happily hopping around while blowing on his hands. Paramedics raced onto the field and took Alek's body off the platform… it was later confirmed the man died due to a brain aneurysm, something he could have survived if not for the delay in his treatment through travel and wait times.

While Roshi celebrated, Atom sat back on the couch with his family all looking at him. "What?" He asked. They all pointed at his eye and he held his hand up to it, a small droplet of blood had seeped out.

"Huh?" Atom quickly mopped it up with his hand and smiled. "I'm fine don't worry."

"Are you sure?" Bikini asked, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"We should probably get you check out Atom, even if it was just a one-time thing." Briefs said, Bikini nodded in agreement and escorted Atom out of the room.

A quick trip in the car led the family to the hospital, where Atom was placed in a room with only 1 other person. The doctors ran several tests, but couldn't see anything physically wrong with Atom, so they suggested to keep him over for a single night to run a few tests.

"You alright little fella?" His other roommate called across the sheets.

"I'm alright, did you see the fights today? At the tenkaichi budokai."

"Hehe, of course I did! I was a part of them!"

"Really? Did you get knocked out in the preliminaries?"

The room stayed silent before the other patient laughed. "Nope, I won!"

"M-Master Roshi?"

"The one and only."

Atom got out of bed and moved the curtain open, revealing the old man covered in bandages over his hands and torso. "I'm Atom Briefs, your fights were so cool today!"

Roshi smiled and patted his stomach. "Aha, they hurt as well. Nice to meet you, Atom."

"How did you grow big like that? Or shoot out the energy?"

"Trade secrets haha, I only teach my students those things."

"How many students do you have?"

"None right now, but I'm not looking for any."

"Aww, can I become one?"

"No, you're a bit young, especially for my training."

"Oh yeah? I don't think so."

"Hehe, well you can prove yourself another time… Is that why you're here?" He pointed towards Atom's scarlet eye.

"Something like that… when you blocked that attack, a big shockwave went out, and then… I could see everything! Alek's muscles began to shut down and his blood vessels exploded!"

"Everything? As in, his muscles and joints? Skeleton?"

"All of it, every part of his inner body, but for some reason I can't now." Atom seemed to deflate as he sat on his bed looking across to Roshi.

"That is… odd, but I have a theory, lets do an exercise. Cross your legs and place your hands together."

Atom followed the instructions and looked at his hands oddly. Roshi quirked an eyebrow but began to continue. "Now imagine a pool in your stomach and pipes circulating around your body, all of them like a circuit, going back in and replenishing."

"OW!" Atom yelled, clenching his right eye with his hands before removing them to see a large amount of blood covering them. "What the hell?!" He looked around the room, his vision settling on Roshi, who's body had become see through.

Roshi got up from his bed and stared into the young boy's scarlet eye, it glowing with power. "You have… a hell of a lot of ki, especially for your age."

"Ki?"

"Life energy, what I use to make the beams and my max power form."

"And having more is good?"

"Yes, of course, but it has some down sides, like needing to be controlled well unless you want to turn into a bomb."

"Well, that certainly isn't good."

"Not at all. I've changed my mind; you might be worth my training Atom. In 1 month, meet me at Gengoro island in the east. You will receive just my basic training until you get older."

"R-Really?!"

"Yes, so be ready in one month, because you'll be worked to death under me."

Roshi patted Atom's head and returned to his bed, just as a doctor came in and discharged Roshi. "It'll be a long month." Atom said out loud, smiling as the evening sun set over the coast.
