This is a spin off of End It All, the other Nico-based poem I wrote. You might wanna read that one if this one doesn't make sense.

Don't Cry for Me (It's All Okay)

He lives a life of blame and hate

Does not realize his true fate

While she is down below the earth,

He refuses to see past his own hurt.

Don't cry, little brother, it's all okay,

I'll be with you again someday.

The war is over, the battle is won,

And they mourn those who will never see the sun.

He stands amongst the heroes, proud and tall,

She wonders if he will remember her at all.

Don't cry, little brother, it's all okay,

I'll see you again someday.

She finds herself fading from his memory,

As he grows up and becomes the man he wants to be.

At times, he'll remember, and feel empty inside,

At times, he'll remember, and begin to cry.

Don't cry, little brother, it's all okay,

You'll be joining me again someday.

He raises three children with the woman of his dreams,

But it won't be long until she will leave.

He is sent spiraling into despair and hate,

But she does not realize that it's too late.

Don't cry, little brother, it's all okay,

You'll be with me again today.

The deed is done, the war is lost,

But it was she who paid the highest cost.

She watched him suffer, she watched him die,

She watched him hide the tears in his eyes.

So don't cry, little brother, because it's all right.

You lost the war, but you've won the fight.

Don't cry, little brother, don't cry for me,

Now we're together for eternity.

I promise I won't cry for you anymore. I'll see you in heaven.

Thank you for reading,

P.S: Do I even need to tell you? DO NOT EVER TRY TO KILL YOURSELF. IT ONLY HURTS THOSE AROUND YOU. I speak from personal experience.
