A/N: This takes place directly after Search and Rescue, simply because I couldn't come up with a good reason why Sheppard would be up without having him have had a nightmare, too.

"What's wrong Rodney, can't sleep?", John asked, mildly concerned. "Nightmare, why are you up?" he asked his friend. "The surgery threw my whole sleeping rhythm over board, just woke up in the middle of the night", John shrugged. "Ah, that's mean", Rodney frowned.

"So, tell me", John demanded.

"Tell you what?", Rodney asked, seemingly oblivious.

"About your nightmare, I know you're dying to tell me", the Colonel raised an eyebrow and took a bite of his sandwich.

"Okay", McKay sat down more comfortable, setting both his elbows on the table so he could make his opening gesture. "So I was at Jeannie's house. Everything looked normal and I rang the doorbell. Everything perfectly normal until then. So I ring the doorbell and who opens the door?", he made a dramatic pause waiting for Sheppard to guess.

"Jeannie? Kaleb?", he guessed. "No, Madison. Only she was pregnant and about twenty years old", Rodney revealed.

"If she was that much older, how'd you know it was her?", John asked out of curiosity. "I just knew. You know in dreams you just sometimes know something?", Rodney elaborated that by lifting his shoulders a bit and clicking his fingers inaudibly.

"Hm", made John. "Anyway, she let me in, we had a bit of tea she talked about how the baby could come any day now and suddenly Todd comes in", another dramatic pause.

"So he… fed on her?", John cringed, he'd had a nightmare like that before, only the Wraith hadn't been Todd and the pregnant woman had been Teyla. "No, he put his arms around her, kissed her on the cheek and said: 'Darling, I'm home'", McKay put on a face that clearly spoke of absurdity.

"What?", was the only response to that. "Oddly enough in the dream I was only mildly surprised. But then she suddenly started going into labour and I had to deliver the baby", he continued.

"Wait… are you saying you delivered a Hybrid baby?", John raised an eyebrow.

"Not exactly…"

"Then what was it?"

"Uuuh…"

"It was a whale wasn't it?"

"Yeah… it ate me."
